We played this game for a couple of years now hoping it would add play against real people one day, but until then Im done. AI is ridiculous.. You have a better shot of going to Vegas and putting it all on red.
You wont find out until youve been playing for a while.
This honestly is one of the best mobile games we’ve ever played.
This is definitely one of our favorite hockey games but face offs are completely random, and ads after every game and after almost every time you open a pack. So could you please fix those minor issues.
It is a fun game, can be competitive if youre comparing scores, goals, streaks and etc. With friends. The only flaws are that 1. We wish we were playing against real people and not AI. 2. Ads get really annoying after a while, we wish there was like a small mini game within the game we could play to earn coins and card packs, than watch ads.
Its honestly one of the most addicting games we’ve ever played on here. But its RUINED by the amount of ads. After EVERY SINGLE GAME!!!! Then they place fake X marks on the corners of the ads to close out and it just brings you to the next part of the ad. Want to unlock new players? Want to upgrade your team? Watch some ads! Absolutely ridiculous. Everyones just money hungry now. We miss when games were ad-free.
The gameplay is pretty fun and addicting but too many ads it really takes away from it. We would pay for no ads but _()_/

Game gets so hard as you go on its impossible.
The layout of this game is great, its fun and all but there are so so so many issues with it, we know the matchmaking is between ai but the ais teams can be insanely unfair, where each position their players are above ours 3-20 overall, the packs are horrid, every single pack we get the same goalie, nothing different, and after all of the 400+ cards our goalie gets he still lets in at least 3 goals a game, it is impossible to progress in the game after a short period of time, we highly DONT recommend the game unless you want to have 8 minutes of fun.
The controls for this game are abysmal as they favor the AI you play against heavily. You can tell the developers didnt care when the only button they give you to play is a joystick (which is programmed so terribly that it doesnt even do what you want it to 80% of the time). Clearly a cash grab game that cares more about money from micro transactions and a million ads than providing players with an enjoyable hockey game experience. Save yourself the time and dont download this terrible game. Much better hockey simulation games out there.
So overall a simple fun game. That is until you get unbeatable AI. It would be different if it was a gradual climb of difficulty, that would make sense. No, you will be cruising through games and then all of the sudden you go from winning 7-0 to losing 7-0 and theres literally nothing you can do about it. It blows our mind that a game developer can create such ice tilt every few games. Make games more difficult here and there sure but even when you face these unbeatable teams the overall of the opposing players will us less than your team which makes it even more aggravating.
Its super fun and its the best for long car rides.

Best game ever. We have nhl 23 but we play this game way more then nhl 23. When the puck its he post thats just a good sound.
This is game is GREAT!!! Is what we would be saying if it wasnt such a giant disappointment. Inconsistent controls. Horribly biased AI. Terrible card drops. Ratings are meaningless. Tournaments are rigged and have super tops drop down to lower level tourneys just to win. This game was terribly developed and a giant LOSER! Save yourself the time and go find another game. P.S. Quit deleting peoples reviews because all the negative ones keep disappearing! You guys are a joke.

This game is so addictive we saw it in the App Store and always ignored it but we decided to try it, that was a great choice we love this game our only thing would be maybe have different goal horns to pick from other than that we love this game.
We understand its a free game but getting a 30-45 second ad after every single game gets super annoying real quick. Also if you wanna watch an add to speed up a pack or get bonus cards expect to watch a swine ad right after the first one. We cannot tell you how many times we’ve closed this game because another annoying ad popped up. Other than that its a pretty fun game just please decrease how many ads there are.
This game is full of good stuff. The game is fun, not too long, and its challenging at the same time. We think this game is good for players who enjoy hockey a lot. It may not be accurate to nhl 23, but it has its pros and cons. The only problem we have is that it takes to long to play championship games. You have to level up to 2 which take too long. Other wise this game is very fun.
Superstar hockey is a great game but there could be a little more stuff. A couple of ideas are you could unlock cellys so after you score u could use them after you score. Also it would be really cool if you could switch between player and goalie. Its a great game though nonetheless.
We had a good time playing this game and could definitely see it becoming larger than it is today if the developers implement a multiplayer option to one on one friends. It would give players a reason to get their friends into the game. Other than that very nice mechanics and fun gameplay with a lot of room for growth.
The game is very good. We like playing it. We do not like that it is not online however. When it is an online game the outcome is not predicted as it seems to be sometimes. The CPU can make the game do whatever. At least let us play against friends.
There are to many ads in this game but other wise its a good game.
After reading the reviews, this seems to be the one and only problem that prevents this game from being GREAT. The perfect AI ruins this game, every so often you will come across a team that is predetermined to beat you, no matter how well you play. Its super frustrating and ruins the game in our opinion. Please fix so that it at least feels like Im playing other players instead of having to waste 3 minutes playing an uphill battle we know is pointless to even try in.
You play bots, and sometimes they will hit you and the puck just flies perfectly to the opponents who were already on their way to your net and immediately have a three man breakaway because all of your teammates rushed the net for no reason at all. Theres literally nothing you can do. You can actually watch them skate faster than you too. When the opponent is meant to score, you cannot stop it. Your controlled player wont even hit the opponent. They will miss the hit from 1ft away, or if they do get the hit, the puck changes direction and goes straight to another opponent who scores on the open net. Its wild. So frustrating. Its all predetermined by the trophies. Like, why do bots have trophy levels? They didnt earn anything. Are you trying to get us to think were playing people? And why are your packs so expensive? Youre already making a killing on all the ads you make us watch. Youre seriously so greedy? If you gave us a million coins for $5 Id give it to you, but because you ask for $40 you get nothing. You took a fun game and made it frustrating. Why?
The game has a lot of potential and is very addicting however the controls are really inconsistent. We never know who Im going to switch to, sometimes becoming a player who is so far away from the puck that there is nothing we can do.

Super laggy and adds appear every 5 seconds.
We’ve played 669 games and Im frustrated. The AI doesnt increase as you move up leagues. Its all over the place. We’ve dropped down a league or two to make some quick coins and barely be able to pass. Play the next match in the same league and your opponent is super easy to beat. You can see how your players matchup in skill level and it will look like an easy win. But no, the AI players are faster, can check better, etc. So theres no point to spending coin to level up players. Tournament rewards are terrible. Played a total of 24 games in a tournament (went undefeated) and unless youre #1-3, your rewards are the same as playing one regular game. Theres no reward for grinding if you play a team where you overmatch them only to have them smash you like their players are 90+ in skill. Great gameplay but the random AI is crap.
Too many adds,, lags all the time.
The game is fine until it doesnt want you to win. The you cant skate without them checking you and you cant pass without them intercepting you. Its a joke. Good luck to whoever downloads this garbage.
We’ve been playing this game for a little over a year, we wrote a favorable review a short time ago but after the current update the summer heat tournament mode is completely broken. We completely dominate in division 6 but during the tournament mode after paying 25k in game just to enter, won 2 games out of 8 against teams that had significantly lower overall players on them all and we were dominating 90% of the play but none of our shots were going in/ completely missing the net. We enjoy playing this game but its so frustrating with the random almost predetermined outcomes of some games we play.
Game is a joke. You only play against the computer. You have to spend $90 minimum to win. Do not play this. Absolute joke of a game. Horrible. You dont play actual people. Disgusting.

Great game, but could you change the hit function so after we hit someone, our player doesnt change from the original hitter. In other words, we want to continue using that player if we put our thumb back down on the control stick.

Great game but the ads are gonna make us stop playing.
The game could be fun at times in the beginning. But as you progress, skill based A. We could not be more obvious. You can have a far better team, outshoot and out play and still loose. One minute you are shooting, the next theres a 3 on 1 in your zone. You can never find yourself in a breakaway because thats when the opp gets a bust of energy and can somehow skate much faster. Then when they steal the puck from them and you try to check, they just move slightly and still have control over the puck, but when you get hit you get sent a mile back and loose possession.
AI OVR doesnt matter, it is made to be way too hard even if your stats are better. They want you to spend money to make your team better, so the system is rigged against you. No one wants an unbeatable game. Its supposed to be fun phone game, not sweaty.
Do not download this game the physics dont work the game is wrong and you play against the best possible player or cpu every song game and will always lose it costs money to play this game it gives u unbeatable CPUs to play against so when u run out of coins from constantly losing it charges you and absurd amount of money to keep in playing (use code lazar)
We were having a lot of fun with this game then it went to find an ad. Its been sitting on a finding ad page forever. Even if we force the app to close when we reopen it its still on finding ad. If this doesnt go away and let us play soon this app will be deleted. Too bad, we were enjoying it.
We absolutely love this game but theres a few major issues. 1)The game is very pay to win, but that also leads to 2) The in game store is extremely over priced, one legends pack for $100???3) AI needs work, sometimes they make things that actually just arent possible. But again we absolutely love this game and its style, please keep it up. (Also we want to support but we dont want to spend $100 for every legends pack)
Overall incredible game. Best Ice Hockey game on the app store by far. Only complaint is that it is very very hard to progress past Division 10. Every opposing team has better cards (which is a given,) but we havent upgraded a player in the last 2-6 months of actively playing. We have four slots of all silver packs. (The worst packs in the game.) They take 4 hours to unlock each. We receive 44 total cards from one of those packs. (Which is nothing considering that it takes 800 to upgrade a common at our level.) And even after that, we have a team of all Rare or better cards, so 95% of the packs we open dont even help us upgrade our team at ALL. Some of the teams we are facing are 90+ overalls across the board, and our highest player is an 83. In our opinion, its way too hard to continue playing without spending money on packs. Other than the progression, the game is extremely fun and runs 10x better than any other Hockey game on the app store. Would highly recommend giving it a try.
