We used to enjoy this, even paid. Now we get an ad every time we complete a puzzle even if we already purchased more puzzles.
When we start up the app and hit the play button it gives us a how to screen. No matter how we tap or slide our fingers, nothing seems to be responding.
All it does is play ads and force quit by itself. We couldnt even get past the how to guide because it doesnt respond.
There is an elusive charm to vague instructions and seemingly simple game play. This game IS a masterpiece, just like Tetris! Please keep it updated, we love this game.
This was only made because of the rate and share wall on one of the volumes.
It's pretty good, although ads do pop up a bunch. Really fun.
Cool music and sounds, Symbol Link is a leisurely puzzle game to play.

Rating because we have a puzzle volume that requires rating or sharing the game. The only reasons we have 4 stars is this stuff: 1) Why do you need to throw pop up ads and 30 second useless commercials every time we either complete or even try to begin a puzzle!? That already gave you more revenue from ads than the purchases! On the bottom, it is fine, but in a large window? Heck no! 2) Some puzzles are just too hard to even get 3 stars on. We know there's the hints, but here is the real problem. PUT A CONFIRMATION THAT YOU WANT TO USE A HINT! Good god, we already wasted 2 unnecessary hints after getting 100% on 3 volumes already! Besides, good luck once you run out! You can't buy any hints! So if you can't 3 star, be prepared to spend hours just increasing the score on a puzzle by like 70 or 100 and still not get 3 stars. Puzzle difficulty is ridiculous.
We haven't done anything yet so we're just basing this on the screenshots Edit: this is a lot like Flow Free except if you do it right half of the board completes itself which is pretty cool. It seems really easy so far but we can guess it gets much harder. Edit 2: Forced random video ad… Completely ruins it for us. Anything where a video ad comes from nowhere destroys the mood of what we're doing. We're fine with banner ads but we already hate video ads in the first place.
Horrible user experience. When you pass to the next level they put a 30 second ad that you have no choice but to watch, and after that you need to close the ad screen by hitting the tiny X a zillion times before you can actually close it. Sad, this used to be a cool game. Uninstalling right now.
This game is kind of boring and bland.
TL;DR read the title. We've loved this game since we downloaded it months ago. Finding the exact paths for each line to take to match (or beat) the 3-star score has always been a fun and occasionally brain-bending challenge. That still stands after the newest update, but MY GOD did they ruin it with the ads. The ads at the bottom of the screen are fine. The problem is the ads that pop up in front of the results screen. Our preferred method of playing this game is to try the first solution we can think of, then eagerly hit retry if we came close to getting three stars. With the new ads, we have to stop and wait so we don't accidentally click on a sudden ad. It really ruins the experience of playing (and being immersed in) what we think is a nearly-perfect puzzle game. If you want to keep your ads at the bottom of the screen, that's fine. Just PLEASE get rid of the pop-up ads.
This game is the same as Flow but with a more annoying scoring system (you don't get points for the lines you connect, only the ones you don't- the computer completes them for you). That takes away a lot of the fun of it, for us. The minimalist feel is nice, but why does that have to carry over to the utter lack of instruction in game mechanics? Once you do figure them out, it's far too easy.
They ruined this app. After a few puzzles expect to receive ads at the start of EVERY puzzle with an obnoxiously small "x" in the corner you'll have to tap several times before the stupid thing goes away. What the hell were they thinking? Uninstalled, total waste of time. Save your time and patience and play something better.
It's a great game. Sometimes there are Better Solutions which let you get a hire score than the developer set up. Try this game and find better solutions. Have fun. =).
Pretty fun game, despite being fairly easy. We play at a pretty fast pace, and so far the hardest part has been training ourselves to wait at the end of a level so we don't accidentally click on one of those sneaky little ads.
The stars are given for finding the path(s) that use the least amount of tiles drawn by the player for the game to auto-complete the puzzle. A path auto-completes when there are no tile rectangle/square groups on the path and when the path can only connect to one color. There are exceptions for the final row of puzzles on each page. The point gauge for the puzzle is a good reference because the answer is not always the highest amount of points you can get. Single move/Moves: Use number of moves specified in top left corner Longest path: Have the game auto-complete the number of tiles specified in the top left corner Golden path: A higher difficulty puzzle As for the in-puzzle menu: (1) return to the puzzle (2) reset the puzzle (3,4) sound/music control (compass/5) turn replay paths on/off (6) return to main menu.
We're truly enjoying this soothing, yet challenging puzzle game.
You get a lot of content for free, and you can purchase even more. Fun gameplay, soothing soundtrack and did a mention a bajillion levels for FREE? Our only problem with the game is the sound effects. They disrupt the calmness given to you by the music and smart lack of time limit. And they are pretty loud. Maybe a volume slider or calmer/softer sound effects? You can turn the sound effects off all together, but we like to play a game how it was meant to be played, but these sounds just make the game a bit too beepy. We love the game, but we just have to play with the just the music. Ps. We found a bug. When in a level (on iPhone 5) and we push the setting button, that menu freezes. We either have to go to the home screen on the phone and then back into the game or kill the game all together.
Once you get the hang of it… It's pretty awesome!! Nice playing something different! Keep the content coming devs.
Is a very smooth running app. Is very user friendly, challenging yet still beatable in a decent amount of time. Totally worth the download.
Alexey has created another thoughtful game that combines speed, strategy, and good design. Be careful, though, it could be habit-forming.
This game is great, it makes you think more than similar games, but three stars. Why? ADS, ADS, TOO MANY ADS!!!!! FREAKING ADS ON EVERY LEVEL! EVERYONE.
Overall, we really do like this game, however, there have been at least 2 puzzles that had an eerie resemblance to a swastica. A little strange.
This is a fun game but the adds are timed just right to get people to click on them which is slightly annoying.
And why am we getting notices when we've turned off all notices in the Notification Center? Offer a way to buy the game and let people escape from the incessant advertising.
It WAS a good game until after the update which makes an ad pop after EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. We'd give it four stars but those pop up ads are really annoying! Other than that, it is a really good game.
It's a fun game that is completely unplayable due to the full screen ads that pop up constantly. We'd be willing to pay just to get an ad free version.
We thoroughly enjoyed this game. We were captivated by it and it's many challenges but the ads got annoying. After every single level they would pop up and redirect us to the App Store. We get it, you need to make revenue but we wish it hadn't been this annoying. We deleted the app. If/when available, we will gladly purchase the ad free version.
The game/puzzle itself is good, worthy of four stars, but the advertising is insane. At the end of almost every puzzle, a full screen advertisement appears over the buttons to continue/replay. This design choice will cause innumerable accidental trips to the AppStore.
The first 30 levels were easier than most first level tutorials. Couldn't keep our attention. The only "addicting" quality is that it is so easy that we blasted through the first several levels just in hopes of a challenge. The app shows you how to connect the symbols and even fills the remaining few lines in for you the only point is to fill in the right line so they finish the level for you in the least amount of moves. Don't worry though – if you mess up you can easily start over as many times as you want. Like we said. Too easy.
A popup ad after every scene totally ruins this. The scenes usually take less than 10 seconds to solve so that is a popup ad every ten seconds.
We do like the game but every time we complete a puzzle an ad pops up. It's so annoying. We're going to break our home button soon. Also, to remove ads, the price is ridiculous! Please make it so that ads pop up like once in a while. It's just ridiculous ! You can just make an ad free version. If this gets fixed,we're rating 4 stars.
There is a full screen ad between EVERY SINGLE LEVEL. It's not even worth attempting to play there's more ad than game.
The game itself is great! Definitely 5 stars from us! The puzzles are easy to solve, hard to master. If you're a completionist its, this is for you. At every opportunity the game forces a full screen ad right over the continue or restart butting making you spend more time in the App Store than in the game. We're contemplating uninstalling unless this is fixed.

Level 119 in the first puzzle pack can be done in 1 out of the 2 moves given to you. This makes us get a ridiculously higher score and the extra move unnecessary. Since that level is supposed to be a challenge based on how many moves you need it's kind of disappointing. Otherwise this game is endless hours of puzzle fun.
If u like puzzle games without all the filler and BS, you'll like this game.
First of all, this is a great game. We love it! We're so addicted!! However, we cannot, for the life of us, figure out what the 'golden challenge' is, or how to beat it with three stars. We got up to level 146&150 with all three stars, but we cannot get the third or the bonus on these. Somebody, please help!! Also, how do you get hints? We accidentally hit that button, and lost them all. :/ Now would be a great time to have them… Haha. -_- Anybody, please help.
This game is a fun and innovative puzzler.
We enjoy these games and this is a fresh take on it. It not only removes the tedium of drawing the last of the obvious lines by doing it for you, but it also scores you on that very mechanic. Great idea. Since its scoring is unique, we do wish it gave clearer instructions for what gets you the highest score (number of auto-completed lines, not number of auto-completed blocks). But that's not worth docking the app a star. Great job.
