A Glimpse into Tail Gun Charlie
Man the tail gun in this WWII action/arcade shooter! Use your phone’s gyroscope or touchscreen to aim your guns, and touch either red button to open fire.
Guns! Rack your twin .50-cals to defend your bomber against the ever-growing waves of Axis fighters.
Planes! Me-109s, FW-190s, Bf-110s, Me-262s; whatever the Axis can throw at you.
Lives! You only get 5. Once 5 enemy fighters make it past your defenses, it’s game over for you and your flight crew.
Ammo! As in unlimited, you’ll never run out! Just keep an eye on how hot your guns are; if they overheat, the enemy won’t wait for them to cool down before swooping in for the kill.
This game is graphically demanding, which means it will gleefully eat your battery. Don’t play if you’re without a charger and waiting for that call from the hospital to let you know your new kidney has arrived.
If you’re aiming using your gyroscope and it drifts out of alignment (or you want to face a different direction), just point your phone at where the "center" should be and hit the Align button at bottom left.

Tail Gun Charlie is, by far, one of the highest quality, most realistic, shooter games that we have ever played! We have been playing shooter, games for years, and the realism, accuracy of point-and-shoot, and real life excitement that this game provides and generates is second to none! We highly recommend it, especially for enthusiasts of World War II shooter games! Give it a try, and youll be hooked!!
Good graphics and realistic aircraft. Addicting!! Great time killer when waiting for plane or train trips. Usually hand it off to a kid who is watching and let them do it.

No complaints,no need to pay a dime to have great fun blasting away for free. Graphics are great and on our iPad its just so much fun. The sounds are even cool,great power up features as well.

Hi we love playing this game, it is very fun to play when we have no WIFI, but we have a suggestion here it is: can you make an intro? We know it sounds like a dumb idea, but maybe you could make an intro where you get on the plane. But that is just a suggestion.
We find it quite challenging and not having to deal with ads mak es it enjoyable.
We think youve got the core of a really great game that just needs a story mode. It reminds us of into the dead app. It was fun enough, but we would only play it for short stints. Then they used it as the core of into the dead 2, which basically just wraps it in a story, and we couldnt put it down. Play the two versions if you havent already and youll see exactly what Im talking about.

Fun, a test of skill. While you can buy stuff, you can get war bonds to fly missions just by watching ads. Easy easy easy.
First time ever posting a review. Tbh its addicting, and is the perfect mobile type of game, especially if youre into old school Ariel combat.
First review we write because this game is such a fun time waster. We’ve been playing campaign mode for about a week now and so far Im at Wave 81 and Im a General of The Army (*****) five star general. The game is challenging and even if youre good you can still get swarmed. There is strategy involved as well as in what kinda power ups you should save up for and purchase (I always purchase at least two FLAK power ups to defeat the battle wave. Also you have to get good at leading the enemy with your bullets and once you get used to each planes idiosyncrasies and flight mechanics you can lead them and get critical hits each time. Do we still get times where we shoot zero planes down? Absolutely, but the fact that we lose yet still win and advance in the game makes it fun and challenging and a great recommendation for all WWII history buffs who want a lil action without too much bells and whistles.

Tgc(tail gun Charlie) is without a doubt one of the best games we’ve ever played.
A terrific game with nostalgic ambiance and terrific, so far glitch free action. The only thing missing is (as far as we can tell) being able to inflict damage on the battleships below. Maybe a power up to drop a bomb or at least be able to see damage on ships? Great game!
Hands down the best shooting game out there. Realistic, fun, relatively usable for most age groups and we must say, quite realistic. Love the sound of the guns, strafing and empty casings hitting the floor. We’ve flown in some old bombers and although never wanted to be a tail gunner, this is the next best thing. God bless the troops that did this to protect freedom. Thank you for making a great game – tons of fun!!
Decided to try this app after its advertisement swooped through while engaged in a similar app. Anytime something occupies us intensely and makes us totally oblivious to time, we can say Im hooked. The only reason we want give it 5 stars yet is because that someone erodes the developers ability to strive to making a good app much better.
Love the game that there is no end to Iam at wave 779 on campaign so Iam thinking a tee shirt reward would be nice.
Played on a phone, this is a challenging game above lever 14. Unless you are independently wealthy we recommend sticking with the arcade play.
