The goal of the game is to "untangle" the lines and make sure they don't overlap. Touch the dots and drag the lines to untangle them. You can now play the famous Planarity / Untangle game on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
The 90 carefully designed puzzles provide a smooth learning curve. Once you've finished all 90, you can have unlimited fun with the randomly generated puzzles. You can also try to master the puzzles and challenge other players online to see who can finish the puzzles in the least amount of moves.

Community Insight:
Great game with good complexity. Yes it crashes once in a while, and takes you back a few levels when it does. Same if you close it or go back in the menus. We found moving multiple end points at the same time useful. But unraveling chaos actually gets to be a challenge. The multiplayer option doesn't do much yet but the random section is good, except you can't see your progress.
Great game but for some reason it doesnt save certain levels that you beat, we beat level 15 hard twice, made it to level 18 hard and it still reset us back to level 15.
We love this game. Great if you like puzzle games! It sometimes loses your progress though… We were on level 29 and it reset… Would be 5 stars with an update.
Sometimes the tangled lines are not displayed correctly: the lines that are not tangled are red as well. Like the eleventh hard level. If we passed level 11 and then exit the game, when we return, we must pass level 11 again in order to play level 12.
The game crashes all the time. And when it crashes it sets you back to an earlier level. We were on 26 of the hard levels, it crashed, and now we're back to 10. If you play take screenshots of your finished puzzle because the game will crash on you.
Good concept and design but it crashes way too often. Also there's a bug where if we complete a level then go back to the home page we have to restart the same level all over again.
FIX THE BUG we WAS AT LEVEL 28 IN HARD AND NOW IM ON LEVEL 12.
Great unexpected update, the new multiplayer is interesting. Glad it finally supports the right resolution for our iPhone5.

We've been waiting for this updates for years! Bought it about two years ago and still provides lots of entertainment, ever since we upgraded to an iPhone 5s we noticed the app wasn't even ready for the longer iPhone 5 series screen so seems like they are finally catching up not only with screen size but also with iOS 7 look and feel, so far works great but this took way too long for an app we paid for.
New update introduced banner ads in the lower portion of the screen. Interface looks boring now.
We just want to untangle some knots to relax. We don't want to be better than everyone else. Add a zen mode with no timer and super clean graphics and we would be very happy.
The puzzles were too simple and became repetitive.
It's a shame we have to even give it one star. This game used to be awesome before the update.
The puzzles are mostly just "guess where we stacked two on top of each other" which makes it less of a puzzle. No sounds aside from some music makes the game feel bare. Only 3 of the 6 worlds are included the others cost money. This is hidden from you initially because you just see that they cost stars that you don't initially have then after getting the required stars you find out they aren't free anyway. For the few levels included and the few from buying more we'd avoid this. Play something with more content for your money like ctr. If you're lucky the 3 free worlds will take an hour tops. Of course you can try to get 3 stars on everything if you wish.
Only has a few levels and gets boring.
This was a fantastic game before the update. We are a fan of topology, so this was a nice, cerebral, almost relaxing game. It was simple, it was clever, each board was ever so slightly progressively harder, and it kept us intrigued. We don't want a star rating for each board, or a timer, or a progress bar, or "goofy" themes. This was a game that let us get our conceptual math fix, now it's been dumbed down and "facebooked up". The star rating on each board seems somewhat arbitrary as well. We're not even going to start on the "need stars to unlock – oops! You have to pay for it too!" aspect. Please give us back the game we downloaded and loved, not the one we updated and loathe.
Well, we think that this games pretty boring after a while. There's only a couple levels. Soooooooooooo yeah don't bother your time.
Not sure what all the fuss is. Perhaps we bought in after the update but it seems there are at least two levels to every game: solving it, and solving to get 3 stars. For .99 the first three worlds gave us a fair amount of enjoyment.
We like it a lot. We had completed all the levels on the older version. We just noticed the other day that they had updated to a totally new version. Very cool. But what are the starts for? We have 83, so what.
We think we're too blind to really play this, but our 6-year old daughter is loving it right now.
Its an ok game for being a free app, but we dont get the point of the game.
The game was awesome before the update. Now it's ridiculously easy. We used to be impressed. If we were going to buy the game, we would want to know that we're buying something worth it, and judging by the free levels (free to us since we didn't have to buy the game to get them since we had it already), we wouldn't not assume the game would be better if we bought it. There's no incentive to buy it if the lower levels are lame. This WAS the top app of its type.
The game used to be fun before the update that added the star rating and worlds. The puzzle do not even become harder as you progress.
Just paid to unlock all worlds and they are still locked!! Pissed off.
Does not progress in difficulty as worlds progress. Not enough free levels. Not great.
This game was preferable before the last update. Now it is still fun but less casual and more corny.
We actually love the update! Though, for us the last level is so hard, it's not even enjoyable to try… And we're good at these types of games. We see there's a "pro" version that costs $ but judging by the description, it's no different from this free one. Anyways, we would give it 5 stars, but because of the last level in giving it 4 stars. We love challenges, but seriously we've spent over a half hour on it and wasn't even close to complete.
Thanks to the new update this game is terrible. You have to pay to play the difficult levels. Lame.
The new graphics and music a great. It looks so much better, well worth the $1.
We liked this before the overhaul. We still like it, but we have mixed feelings on the new game. We like the new graphics, and that the puzzles get harder at a more gradual pace. We like the star system in theory, but sometimes it's fun to just play with the puzzles without optimizing moves. We find we are too focused on the final star tally now to do that. But what really annoys us is the fact that you have to pay for the levels after unlocking them with stars. We feel like they should either have access purchased with stars or with money, not both. Heck, the star cost could be raised to make it challenging to use stars instead of money.
We spent the 99c and its trying 2 make us pay another $1.99 just 4 the last 3 worlds. It stinks cuz we liked the original 1 better the levels r still kinda fun though.
Before this latest update, the game was fun and challenging. Now there is a progress bar??? We don't want to see how close we are, we want to solve the thing on our own, and we don't want a few stars telling us that we're mediocre because it tooke us five moves instead of four. If that stuff was optional, we would give it a better rating.
The new update is terrible. Trick you into updating with promise of new content and then make you pay for content that used to be free? Deleted.
Please change it back. We just liked to untangle strings. We don't want status bars, or levels to unlock. This is so irritating. Why do we have to pay money to open new levels. If you complete the level before, the next level should automatically unlock! The few levels that it starts off with took no time at all to untangle. Not even a challenge.
This used to be one of our favorite games. Then the update came around and completely ruined it. What do you mean we have to buy more levels? We already bought the app. And the themes are just horrible. Bring back the space age, please. We beat the new update in less than five minutes and we can't play the rest of the levels. This makes us really sad, we guess we'll just have to go find another puzzle game.
This was an excellent game. Fun, challenging and pleasant to look at. We updated today (2/2/12) and it has such graphics worse than anything we have seen- it hurt our eyes. We deleted it on the spot! Just when we were about to get the paid version, too. Thank goodness we didn't, it isn't worth having, even for free now!! YUCK.

(happy cause we saw sm cmplaints bout the difficulty of that level ;p) … U parently just gotta do it till u get it. Took us maybe… Minute? Little more? Little less? Idk. Pretty short. Idk if this will help any1, but at 1 point we spread all of the 'dots' out along the sides to make a rectangle round the edges of the screen; we pretty much just played w it from then :P love it!!!! :D.

The intention was good… But the game is a pure glitch! Aways an update, but NOTHING change! Fix it this piece of feces.

It's a fun and challenging game. It reminds us of outer space and our hair in the morning, even though it's short. Get this if you like challenges! EDIT: The new update won't let us choose a difficulty so we can only choose random. We also can't go back to the main menu when we click the home button. Plz fix! Thank you.
