So we’ve been trying for months to remember the name of this game because its so good and we missed it but collecting papers is a bit too hard if Im honest.
We’ve never written a review for a game before, but this was way too good to pass up. We’ve also never spent money on a game like this before but again, too good to pass up. The characters, the story, the art, the possibilities, theyre all amazing. This game is addictive. We could play games like these for years. They drive us nuts wanting to complete the endings, enjoying doing what we want to do, and not simply being a blank character with no personality at all (I dont like those but its a personal opinion). Its an interactive story, and its been written beautifully. We love it. 5 stars, would play again, and would love to play more games just like it.
We downloaded this game after being bored out of our life and OMG! The characters, the art style, and storyline is all super cool!!! We especially love the interrogation and searching scenes. All the characters are loveable in their own way, and very unique as well! Im on chapter atm, and we cant wait to read more!
Its got a good story great characters and the chapters give you a thrill. Theres small things like gallery, gacha, and mini gamd called our room to pass the time. Waiting each day for 5 tickets kinda stinks because it makes early completion bonus difficult but its worth it! (you can save up coins to buy bonus at the end) the soundtrack is amazing we listen to that stuff in our sleep. If you havent tried it its a high suggestion its very interesting.
We love the complex story and the posible outcomes. Itd be cool if their was two part two games. One based on the true ending. The other the peace ending. We love this mystery vibe game. ++++ Please make a sequel. We hope those two somehow escape together.

We love this game but we would hope we could get more tickets but we like how we get them daily.
We were uncomfortable at how a serial gr4pist was treated as an everyday human being. Furthermore we feel as though its weird because this game hints at lace lookers and dont get us started on the whole moe ruri However, its very nice, we love solving the mysteries and unlocking characters. We just wish the game was more sensitive to this stuff and didnt include some of what it did. Overall 4/5 stars.
This game was unbelievable fun, we enjoyed every moment playing it (except chapter 7 with Osoto in it). The plot twist was unexpected, although we prepared for something to happen, we were still impressed and surprised after the plot twist happened. This game is worth playing, we really satisfied with the ending.
We wish you would offer art books with character sketches and notes. We love the art from your games and would definitely buy them. Im sure there are others that would be interested in it as well. It could even be a smaller booklet or a collection of artworks from your games if you want to make an official thicker book. We really enjoy the stories and the game play of this one as well as Yotsume shrine, Tsumugu Logic, and the others. Thank you for creating entertaining games and thank you for not being so greedy like some other companies out there.
The game itself is very good. We enjoyed the puzzle aspect of it and the concept is very interesting. The point system is fair and gives the game a good pace. Now onto the problems Im having with one of the characters. Spoilers for people who havent played this far yet! Why are the characters treating a serial rapist like just a normal guy? Yes, they do bring up the fact that hes a rapist often but we feel like the main character, as well as most other characters, have been treating this man too casually for what hes done. It just feels like its lacking a fair bit of tact for a topic that should be treated with more respect. Not only is he a serial rapist in his alive life but he threatened a 14 year old(Ruri) while at the hotel make it make sense, why would the writers choose such a sensitive topic as his crime only to keep him around like a fun side character?
The game has a rough English translation that’s hard to get past at times, but it’s never confusing. The game itself it’s pretty fun, and the art is really cute. Overall it’s just a simple visual novel with some puzzle gameplay. We’re quite enjoying it. We don’t play a lot, because once we hit our cap with the tickets, we put it down and forget to pick it back up for a while, but even if we put it down for months, when we pick it back up it’s easy to follow and we remember everything that’s going on!
This game was so much fun to play since it combined our 2 favorite elements of gameplay: puzzles and story. Nekos personally differs completely to the usual females in story-based games. Shes snarky, a little lazy and nosy, as well as having a dark streak. We never buy in-game stuff, but the special stories they offer are just too tempting to deny. The fact that this game follows an otome like game style but isnt based on the romance makes us quite happy. In our opinion, the characters do flirt a bit, but its on such a low level that its funny rather than lovey-dovey or cringe worthy.
TL;DR You should download this app. Its got great characters, story, and puzzles. This is one of the best visual novel games we’ve ever played on a phone app. The story is interesting, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, and we kept wanting to read more. There are many alternative endings, especially as you get to the last few chapters, and the True Ending is a really emotionally satisfying one. We loved all the major characters, but the biggest surprise for us has to be how much we loved Neko, the main character. So often main characters in visual novels are there to serve as a vessel for the reader to inhabit as they go through the story, but Neko has a fantastic personality complete with faults that lead to her making mistakes that have real consequences in the story. By the time we were a few chapters in, we were almost surprised by how much we just genuinely liked her. Shes funny, deadpan, intelligent, resourceful, arrogant, lacks social decorum, and is utterly fearless in a way that feels real, not put on. Osoto made a great villain, and the fact that he came to view this high school girl as his ultimate rivaland the fact that this came about in a way that felt naturalwas so revealing. He really is a childish person who puts on airs, but not in a way that you see him regressing into a total childlike state. Hes just a really well constructed character. Of course, we loved Atori too, especially his dynamic with Neko. We wish we got to know him as intimately as we knew Osoto, but maybe Ill get the extra stories and learn more from them. We also definitely cried at the end of Chapter 7 when we thought a certain plot point was entirely irreversible. Also, the translation, while not perfect, was always understandable.
Sufficiently challenging but well balanced with fun, never boring, the story is amazing, the music impeccable, and every character is lovable and on top of all that, we were able to play the entire game for free! It was an EXPERIENCE that we enjoyed every moment of. Would highly recommend!!

This is literally the best lmaoo its interesting and the graphics are also we wish the story parts were a bit longer so its not a waste of tickets.
OKay so we never write reviews for any game ever, but Tasokare Hotel hit us different man TmT. THIS GAME IS PURE GOLD. EVERYTHING, from the character designs to the plot to the art to the cute mini games and menu screen and OH MY LORD THE MUSIC WAS ADDICTIVE. We LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH AND IM ENDLESSLY DEPRESSED THAT IVE FINISHED IT!!!! We seriously wish there could be a sequel to the game, or even just another story game like this from the developers. YOU WILL NOT REGRET PLAYING THIS GAME SWEAR ON MY LIFE.
Taisho-era settings and similar deserve more love. We would gladly play another game in a the same vein.
To make this better would be to make all the writing in Japanese.
We really love this game, except for the fact that it takes up so much space.
This game has kept us hopping back on our phone every morning ready for more of its addictive story and puzzlesits got surprises around every corner and has even brought us close to tears. We enjoy the side tasks of the game, as well as the option to achieve multiple endings with differing dialogue by selecting certain choices. We do wish we could pay maybe $5-10 (or more!) upfront for the full game with no IAPs so that we could get those early completion bonuses a bit easier and be able to play back through our favorite chapters without buying tickets all of the time. Its a great game, but the struggle is real when youre trying to get through a chapter and youre blocked by EXP requirements or a lack of tickets.
Its not as interesting at this point as we hoped, the story just hasnt grabbed us yet we guess.
We had so much fun playing this game and got really invested in the stories and characters. Our only gripe is, maybe Im just dumb, but some of the later puzzles seem nigh impossible to solve. Thankfully you can watch an add and get the answers to the parts you cant solve so its not impossible!
We thought nothing could kill us more than Yotsumegami BUT TASOKARE HOTEL OMGGGGGGGG Its a really good game. Waiting for the tickets isnt bad either, just watch some commercials and save on login bonuses. We recommend saving ~20 of them for Chapter 8 so you can binge right through! Honestly though. This is a very very nice game. Im a girl so we prefer female protagonists, but the story for this is so freaking exCELLenT that Im going to play SEECs male-protag games ;; HIGHTLY RECOMMENd!! (Im even going to cough up $16 to pay for OPTIONAL extra content between the characters because we love them sm)

We really loved this game, the characters, the music, the plot, the art, and the varying difficulties of all the puzzles. However, one thing that we didnt like was that certain puzzles were untranslated so we had to cheat to figure it out. We think if they wanted to leave the certain puzzles untranslated then it would be better to give hints that non Japanese speakers can understand. Other than that we love the game and plan to go back and play through the chapters we missed.

We guess we’ve come to expect a lot of unfairness when it comes to free to play models in mobile games. However we’ve been playing this game for a little over a week now and Im still really enjoying it. We dont feel cheated or that we have to wait an unfair amount of time in order to play the episodes and progress the game. Every day you get five free tickets to play so no matter what Ill get there eventually. The incentive to complete things faster is easier access to cosmetic stuff (unlocking CGs, BGM, and character profiles). Every week youre guaranteed to at least get two extra tickets for watching ads but theres always the chance to get more through the gotcha system as you can play up to nine times a day (watching ads or 3 times without). This is on top of the free coins that youll get throughout the game to help unlock things if you werent able to get them earlier for free. Im very happy with how non-bothersome it is to progress through this game we will certainly be taking a look at some of their other games. We enjoy the fact that whenever Im stuck on a puzzle we can get hints as many times as we need to as long as we watch an ad before. So far our ad experience has been really good nothing is too long or annoying. Anyway definitely recommend!!
Im currently on chapter 4, just barely halfway through this series and the characters are so endearing! Theyre not terribly cliched and stay consistent in their mannerisms even in high-stress situations, which does wonders for immersion. To top it off the artwork is fantastic and is an interesting mix between the anime-style of the characters vs. The realistic depictions of the rooms/surroundings. Overall, definitely would recommend to those who grew up playing escape room games or Phoenix Wright!
Like mystery and free play. Well this game is it. You dont have to pay for anything to get items. Just your time and saving up coins for you to buy them later or save up tickets. Its a fun little mystery that dinks you in trying to solve the puzzles within. Join the hotel and become a member to find the mystery within.
Tbh we wasnt expecting this game to be really good since we didnt think their other game were as fun as this one. The puzzles make you think and the story itself is full of questions which we really like. As a plus, if you are stuck on a puzzle, there is a button that give u the answers so you arent just stuck forever or have to watch a YouTube vid. The main cast are pretty lovable and/or interesting including the antagonist of the game. The voice acting is pretty decent and the cleaning up side game you have to do is pretty alright. The gatcha is pretty helpful when u need more coins and tickets (even tho we think the ticket limit is lame but they gotta make money some how). Speaking of that, Im happy this game doesnt go overload with the ads and its ur choice if u want to see and add to unlock something lol. Our only downside would be the interrogation parts of the game but thats just a personal thing since we found them pretty annoying to do. And how the game is pretty limited with the tickets since 5 tickets isnt enough to finish a chapter. Another annoying thing would be the mission completions and the early bonuses since there arent enough free tickets to complete the bonuses. Any who, we recommend this game if you are look for a good mystery story and with good art we hope the creators make a similar mechanic game in the future since we liked these mechanics more than past games.
We really enjoyed this game. The story is unique and the puzzles are tricky but you can get answers if you watch ads so you cant be stuck forever. There are multiple endings so we went back and got another ending after finishing once. The translation is good, but sometimes a little engrish that we found cute. The art is charming and we love the music. We only wish there were more chapters!
Tasokare (Meaning Twilight and Who are you in Japanese) Hotel is a game full of deep meanings and features a rich cast of endearing characters. Each character has their own unique flaws and quirky characteristics, and you cant help but liking them all! Achieving the early bonus is totally possible for anybody as long as you do the gatcha and AD login-in bonuses to stock up on tickets before you continue the Main Story. Story-wise, we still love the Prison Boy escape game mostly because of the atmospheric setting and deep character dynamic, but Tasokare Hotel demonstrates a fascinating concept along with lovable characters that always manage to surprise you. The plot and some character relationships also ran in interesting directions Id never expected! The Special Stories (paid portion) that reveals the ending from multiple perspectives of all the characters is fully voice-acted in Japanese. Overall, the art, music, and voice-acting really made the characters and story come to life. (Fingers crossed for Tasokare Hotel anime, one day!! ><)
We tend to get bored with games quickly, but this game is so fun and well written. We strongly recommend playing it! It can be played completely free and makes it easier to enjoy! The company really does deserve a good review!
Genuinely an amazing game. The story is extremely engaging, the puzzles are challenging, characters are fun and lovable, its long, the soundtrack is so good, the art is amazing, the game itself is fun, the layout is simple and easy to use, and finally its just an overall good thing to do to pass a bit of time. We think that the early completion bonus is impossible, but thats fine because you can unlock the content with coins. (Early Completion pretty much for the purchasers anyways). It does have its fair share of bugs and crashes, but its okay. We truly love this game! Even if the tickets take a long time to refresh.
We were surprised at how good this game was. Mobile games can sometimes cut corners here and therenot that we blame themand we thought this might be the same. But this had great puzzle segments and story, excellent music and art, and it felt well paced and fleshed out. We actually really loved it. Thank you to the developers for making it!
A really nice game, kept us hooked for a long while and actually kept us entertained, so much so that we were compelled to complete it. The soundtrack is nice, and the artwork is pretty good too. There couldve been more voice acting dialogues, because the existing ones are like really good and give a good feel for the characters. The ticket system is kind of annoying tho, there shouldve been a system allowing you to gain tickets after watching ads or something tho, wouldve made it a lot more immersive. 9/10!

Its one of our favorite apps that we have on our phone but we hate how that the tickets resets only after 5 am.
It took a little over a month to complete the story without purchasing any tickets. Overall it was enjoyable and fun. Really loved the characters and the story overall. The translations could be improved significantly to flow more naturally and not be so awkward, but the story is still understandable. If you were to make a purchase to support the developers, Id recommend the Special Stories because after you finish the main story and the mini game, you really dont need tickets or bells or whatever. You can grind for everything except those additional stories. The puzzles are all doable without hints except for the last chapter; we still do not understand what the game wants you to calculate and/or do in this one specific room, especially since it involves more intermediate knowledge of Japanese or Japanese puzzles. We had to look up the answers for it, and even then we didnt understand the explanations for those puzzles in the game. Our only big complaint is the game should be optimized more. We were in the our Room and the battery on our iPad started heating up. We are also concerned something else is loading when we click on the title screen because we can hear something not from the game (some kind of ad running?) That really bothers and concerns us. We dont want weird things running in the background without our knowledge. We will watch ads if you want us to, but dont hide them in the background.
We love the story so far (just finished Ch2). Overall the game is great and we love the mystery-solving aspect. We docked a star from our rating though because just like many other visual novels on smartphones nowadays, the game uses a 5-ticket system that gets refreshed every day. Its frustrating. Edit: Previously we said there wasnt an autoplay button when there actually was. Our apologies.
Story is engaging, characters are fun and cute! Its hard not to love this game! But youll end up spending a lot of money on it :/ thats the only problem. Personally, we dont mind it, considering the amount of work that was put into making this! This is clearly professionally made. Details, characters, the art work, the coding. We can definitely see the amount of hard work that was put into it. We love it.
Im honestly very impressed with this game. We saw it through an ad on Instagram and it seemed interesting. We’ve been dying for a good mystery game, so this was right up our alley! The artwork is great, the music suits the atmosphere, and the characters are incredibly lovable. The main character herself is funny and different from a lot of SEECs other female protagonists, which we found refreshing. The only real problem we have is how little free tickets you can get. 5 tickets is not nearly enough to finish one chapter and it makes it impossible to make the early completion bonus. Not only that, but each episode is pretty short, so the ticket doesnt feel well spent. Also, theres an EXP system that just feels tedious. Though, we do like the unlock-able outfits. We will say that the game is very generous with hints. You only need to watch one ad in order to get a whole walkthrough basically, and it saves the player from becoming too frustrated to complete the game. Most games would probably make you watch an ad per hint, so Im glad this game didnt go that route. Overall we would really recommend playing this game! At least up until chapter 2, which made us cry lol. The story is really well written and youll be invested in the characters and overall mood of the story. Just dont go in expecting an easy free to play experience. Nevertheless, youll enjoy yourself!
Its a fun and great game! Its different from what we’ve played in the past! However we hate how we have to wait until 5am for it to recharge for the tickets. But other than that its a fun game!
Makes us not want to play wen all 5 tickets are gone in ten mis stories to short n feeling like we wasted a ticket for a four sec chapter.
