We love this game but ever time we try to land on the island in jade sea when the pirate camp is it glitchs us out of the game please fix this bug we want to complete the quest.
So we forgot to say this in our last review we wanted to say that can you make it so you can make a fleet. Like you can use ships you bought or caught to fix up then make them follow you and you can have 1-4 ships following your ship like how trade ships do. We are tempted to give a lower score, bing currently annoyed by the DLCs, but that would not be fair. It is a very good base game, and. Have gotten hours of enjoyment out of it. Sadly, the DLCs do not really seem very well-thought-out and are not similar to the base game. The land quests are just a bad idea. Melee combat is not very deep, already, and the DLCs add a LOT of melee, land combat. We dont want to spend 5 minutes running through boring, procedurally generated jungle, doing nothing but running, only to then die in combat with a camp of 20 enemies shooting at us (especially since mobile controls are imprecise and clunky). Why would a pirate captain with a giant battleship full of battle-hardened crew be trying to heroically take out camps of enemies all by himself anyway? If the DLC had added more quests like the lengthy legend quests in the main game, a new faction, and basically just a new map with quests comparable to the other maps, it would have been perfect. PS. Also, who thought it was a good idea to make all of the artifacts and high level items you spent hours acquiring easily buyable in the new DLC? After we spend hours following a long chain of missions to get a fancy artifact, we dont want to roll up into the DLC towns and see it just sitting there, for sale.
This is a great game but can you all make an update where sea monsters attack randomly please, we have played this game for a month now and it is really fun, but we have never seen a boss and we think it would be a really better game if you all could fix that.
We know for a fact Ive had this game in the past and played it a fair amount. We were checking the App Store for new games and this one popped up, but with a $7.99 price tag. Thinking it was a game we havent played before, we bought it, and was enjoying it until we realized that Ive played it before but didnt know how if we just had to pay for it to reinstall. Really confused, but regardless a fun game.
We started off by playing the free game and played hard on the game pimped out our ship for a few weeks well the whole time an add kept popping saying buy the game you get $50000. Well when we bought it through the App Store we didnt get our coins and also none of our progress from the free game loaded over. Not sure if the loading over thing was an option but it should be because we spent a lot of time into the free version and would rather not have to completely start over. Im not sure if the coins have just not processed over yet or not but we would really like to get them. We really do enjoy this game and thats why losing our progress and not getting our coins after paying for the full version is upsetting. If theres anyway we could get at least our coins Id be a happier player.
Does not have controller support and not a good game Im going to get our money back, not worth the $7.99 for it.
Thought this button was a exit battle button but it was a delete all your data button lost all our 600,000 gold and almost half a year of data. Dont buy it its not worth the hate.
We played the free version without any clue that the premium version even existed. We spent hours and hours of progress, bought all the DLC, and explored every port etc etc. So, imagine our surprise when the cloud save option (which SAYS it's already automatically on) DOESNT transfer our save between the two versions. So even though they're basically the EXACT SAME GAME (just the premium with more frequent updates), all our progress basically null, and the DLC we bought doesn't even get restored. There is seemingly no way to get all our progress to the premium version. Tried looking at the cloud save, our gamecenter is logged in, tried clicking the facebook button, tried pressing the restore purchases button. Nothing. Why is the premium version so obscure anyways? When you search tempest it shows you the free version first and hides the premium one all the way down. We bought the premium version days after playing thinking we'd be able to move our progress over and have a better playing experience with fewer bugs. Waste of $7. ***** Response to Developer Review: Okay, but why? They are essentially the same game just that the premium version gets more frequent bug updates. We already bought the DLC on the free version, so you're telling us we'd have to buy them AGAIN on the paid version to enjoy them? Why is the premium version buried under the free version? Why would you allow DLC to be purchased on the free version when the premium gets much more attention and you can't transfer progress between the two? The free version gets treated like a demo with the much less frequent bug fixes. Why would you NOT allow progress to be transferred between the two? This just shows us a complete disregard for customer-care. Waste of our money, and waste of our time. It's a shame, too, since we really enjoyed this game. We won't be changing our review until you provide a feasible method of transferring progress, because that makes no sense. The premium version is listed lower, premium version isnt even advertised or mentioned in the free version, purchases between the two are separate, bug updates occur less frequently on the higher-listed free version, transfer progress is unavailable. It's scummy.
The game constantly crashes after playing for about 10 minutes. It then starts crashing as soon as the game loads and Ive tried restarting this about 10 times. Ive redownloaded the game, updated our phone, restarted multiple times, nothing has worked. We would honestly like our money back for all Ive purchased.
Ive been playing for a long time now Ive purchased both dlcs and 100,000 gold because we like this game the only problem right now is that theres this bug when when we open our missions tab the game just crashes please fix this Ive tried to download the game again but the bug is still there.
Its hard for us to figure out the reputation badges and complete achievements like the righteous one or others however its great and we Love the boarding aspect but it would be nice if you could upgrade your ships making them faster or stronger and give tour character more endurance or health and Manet in some citys you can sell stuff for more money and buy it cheap else where and gambling but the cost to buy ships is a little hi and the ships you capture sell for a thousand while in order to buy one cost 80000 thousand.
We have a few ideas that we would like to get added to the game please make it so you can in Some areas you can go under the water and explore it and maybe have a chance to be attacked by a sea monster .And it would be cool if randomly when you are going through the ocean you have a random chance to get attacked by a monster .And it would be cool if a monster was in the game and its a big ghost ship.And it would be cool if randomly one of your crew would do something bad and you can brig them.
We absolutely love this game and we have been playing it a lot and managed to notice some annoying bugs which would be awaome if it got changed. Bugs: – it crushes when taking loot (sometimes from ships u have destroyed and always on loot laying around near islands). – ships shoot the ship u have boarded and won it but they still keep shooting it even after u have control over it. Wanted changes: – it would be awsome if you could add feature where u could just press it and u will be directed to the location your chosen mission is. – would also be awsome to add more situational quests which would be up to u to decide. For example in mission of the old pirates secrates u must give them 10k to stop chasing and there is no option for u to not to and end it by force. – also adding more states of the relationships between u and other kingdoms would be good because it gets boring just going around the map in every location freely. For example if u have really bad relation ship in specific kingdom u will be chased and will have to fight them or escape using some kinds of artifacts (which we hope will be added). – and lastly we would love if u could attack ports and be able to capture them making it ur investment and defend it from attackers. Which than u could supply with guns and ammos and materials which would be late game but still possible.
Hey really love the game. We just bought the Pirate City dlc and we have acouple of questions about it. First is which island is ours ive been all over the maps and cannot seem to find it. If you could include like a littlw tag on the map saying your island that would be awesome.
Definitely the best pirate-themed game for the iPad (by a large margin). Picture it as a very polished Sid Meiers Pirates! But with 25x the missions, stronger graphics, a fantastic score and 100% less redundant ballroom dancing. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? In a word: land. This game has about a half dozen land quest types (they rotate randomly). And its during these quests where the polish is tarnished. A prime example: on a mission to save an Emperors daughter, you run to a pirate haven to save her. Often, the haven doesnt render until youre in the middle of town where you promptly get blown apart or trapped in geography. Likewise, some trees dont render and youll get stuck on them. Perhaps the most common issue is the camera panning 180 degrees in the opposite direction of a fight because of some object behind you that youre stuck on. Additionally, your pirate will move a bit oddly through the land missions as if on rails (randomly). If the developers could fix the issues with land quests (giving them the same polish as the vibrant sea battles), this game would be an easy 5 star winner and one of the best games on the iPad.
We love this game,it is very fun to play and pass the time with. It has one big issue though,there is a bug or glitch that makes some missions unable to be completed because they suddenly disappear from world map so we no longer know where we are supposed to go because mission objective is nowhere to be found on map.one example is the emperors daughter mission,right now we are stuck on it,we are supposed to gather info about a fire dragon or serpent but we cant because there is no mission objective on world map showing us where to go,its just gone so we are unable to complete mission.if you could fix this bug or glitch we would be eternally grateful. Updated: we are still stuck on this mission for the same reasons as stated above,please fix this bug.
We love play the game and we love the new add on to it where you walk on land and stuff… But The lost Provence mission with the princess is IMPOSSIBLE idk if its you saying its not ready yes or you havent completed the rest of the story but you expect us to believe that your character is able to walk into that hoard of pirates with flint locks all aimed at you some how defeat them and bring back the princess. We cant manage to kill one before Im dead to possibly 13 other pirates . We highly suggest making it so you can bring your crew on land with you. Without them its just impossible Been quite a while Nothing is changing And ya still impossible You need to be really lucky Cmon developers.

The game on the hardest difficulty is rather easy. As long as you have ammunition you cant really lose the fights, other than the beasts which seem broken or are designed to be too hard. The Ghost Captives quest allows you to easily get the Battleship II (Best Ship) with the starter ship. After you get the Battleship II which only takes about 30 minutes you just travel around and kill ships that are easily outmatched, such as killing 6 other ships solo and taking no damage. Most of the game is sailing in the world map and doing the same quests while the other half of the game is following enemy ships and just staying out of their cannon range. Objectives do not need to be read as the quests give you waypoints on exactly where to go. Never figured out how or where the multiplayer was after about 4 hours of gameplay, but we assume its part of the DLC which we did not buy. Not worth the money for the game.
Looks awesome but nothing of the sort its not even worth half the money has glitches and totally not what expected wish we had never spent $8.47 on it was hoping it was similar to Sid Meiers pirates of the Caribbean which it is slightly but doesnt compare… Disappointed originally was looking for Sid Meiers but its no longer available what a bummer this game gets 3 thumbs down.
Where has this game been in our life. The world is immersive and beautiful, the factions add a challenge and an advantage, and the dlc is worth buying. Ive boarded so many ships and each one has a different set of enemies and loot, truly splendid content. Our only issue is that it crashes and low-res. Water looks weird. We know we could change it but its so out of place. Otherwise 10//10.
We love the game as it is but we think the uss constitution would make a good addition to the game but hey thats just our opinion.

Theres a consist crash we can reproduce when picking up random benes from cruising around small islands after a successful mission. IPhoneX v 12.1.2 Tempest v 1.7.4.
Please add support for native resolution of iPhone XS Max. It could handle better resolution and graphics with its smaller and stronger proccesor.
Very good design just wish it had more to it you get to a certain point in the game and its kinda over like it goes no further you can always repeat the same levels but we looking for new adventures.
Ive never written a review for a game before but we love this one. The only problem is it keeps crashing in the same spot and we cant advance at all on the game.
The game itself is great but when we went to do some thing else and got back in the game. We were back at the beginning so pleas this isnt even the first time just want to get back where we were.
Love to play this game. Action, strategy, and lots of bells and whistles. You can get lost in this world for hours. Keep up the superb work.
This is the coolest pirate game we have ever played. It has so much more content than the other pirate games out there. It is kinda like The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt, but with sea monsters and magic crystals. We love being able to board other ships and have an epic fight against their crew, which is one thing The Pirate was lacking in. We would definitely recommend this game to people who like pirates, ships, or both! We would like to thank HeroCraft for their great customer service. Sea monster attacks need to be random.
Doesn't even start after the update. Was a cool game now all we get is the octopus waving while its loading then Ohpp crash. Fix this Game already.

Every time we try to open it it glitches and exits us out Ive played it before and we want to play it again but we cant.
The game is really good, but the Jade Sea DLC should have a new faction instead of the Order. There should be a dynasty led by the emperor that overthrows the Order.
This game is very enjoyable. Endless things to do, great ships, and great concepts. It is short a star due to issues with the DLC jade ed. When trying to go upon shore, 50% of the time we get put underwater and controls are useless, forcing us to close the game. Our other concern is the quests upon the shore. Cleaning out the pirate camps of 6+ pirates with our 1 character is impossible. We would think that you would be able to take some of your crew with you, but you dont. The paradise locations are do-able because at the most you face three skeletons at a time and they dont have pistols. But 6 or more pirates with pistols against one it… Lets just say we will not be able to complete the main quest line for the dlc.
Ever since we got this phone this app refuses to load into the game. Loads a little bit then crashes to the desktop. Not cool. This is with a restart, a stock firmware install even. Nothing else on it. Reset all settings multiple times. No fix. Great game otherwise. Fix the game and we'll fix the Stars.
This game is littered with micro transactions and dlcs that cost money you wouldnt expect this from a 4 dollar game and it gets boring and Ive played for days and still dont have enough money to get a new ship and Ive done several quests. This game is a waste of money we dont even know how this is fun. If you the developer apologize to us we will respect the game but we hate the game its terrible with gameplay and how do we get more money in the game? Of course micro transactions.we want a direct apology from the developer to the waste of money we spent then Ill tend to respect you and the game but if theres no apology we will delete the game and play games of your competitors and we will disrespect your content. Ive played many pirate games for iOS and this one is great, reminds us of age of sail and age of sail 2, games from the 90s and they were cutting edge for the time, this one is similar, just one wish we have for the developers, please create more maps to explore, five stars for this game, we usually dont write reviews but we had to for this game. One thing missing, a better chat system and pvp on a world server.
Im using the iPhone 6s+ and we played the game on here before and we uninstalled for a bit, then reinstalled and now it wont let us play because of crash from start. Can you please fix this.
So we bought this a while back then eventually uninstalled it. Now we wanted to try it out again so we recently reinstalled the game. Before we uninstalled it we could get into the game just fine, now it crashes as soon as we get to the loading screen.

DLC bugged and force closes game on a lot of missions so you get stuck every time you try it. About to head to the bank and tell them we got scammed to get a refund. Just be cause its to buggy to play and its unplayable . You release content that dont worked and its bugged as hell. Spent 14 dollars on some gold and dlcs just to have game crash on the emperors daughter quest line. They apple says that we cant get a refund on a shady game like this and the game makes says that they say go to help for refund. Thats what makes this a scam.
