Features:

  • Dive into a reverse city builder: Use advanced eco-technology to purify the soil, creating plains, wetlands, beaches, rainforests, wildflowers and more — then efficiently recycle everything you’ve built, leaving the environment pristine for its new animal inhabitants.

  • Explore different maps every time: Procedurally generated landscapes mean no two play-throughs will ever be the same. Plan your build around randomized, challenging and unpredictable terrain, including snaking rivers, mountains, lowlands and oceans.

Terra Nil Review

Id been waiting for this game to come out on Steam for a while then noticed it was available in the App Store! Immediate download! And beat the game 5 days later! So good! Highly recommend!! The only complaint is that is drains your battery HARD!! Like we had it on the charger and it was using the power as fast as the charger could give it.

We love that the game has a zen mode it is just the best.

Terra nil is a tranquil map-based strategy game that is frustrating in an old-school gaming way. Most actions happen instantly, there arent complex money schemes with ads or in-app purchases. Instructions are bare-bones, so its all about trial and error. Highly recommend. Please develop new maps!!!

First of all this game is absolutely awesome! It got us from the start with the cool skill based gameplay to the cool learning experience with ecosystems. It is a game we got hooked to almost immediately with its awesome building environment experience as well as reforming environments. We love Netflix making these awesome games and am tremendously happy with the result of this game. Easily our top 3 favorite mobile games we have ever played, to whom ever made this game, Awesome job and Thank you for making a fun relaxing game people get to experience and enjoy!

Sim City brought us in to the gaming world many many years ago so this game really brought us back. This is obviously Netflix but Id like to know more about the company that actually developed the game because this is a great unique spin on a building-simulation/strategy game. We would say that the game is in its early stages with some minor UI issues but we dont think its worth losing a star over. It hit the top 50 for strategy games already so Netflix will probably fork over some money to the developers to get those issues updated soon. We see many people having issues about getting stuck in certain sections of the game but we havent had those issues. Also, we think the crashes are dependent on what type of device you use too; which will also be fixed shortly. We dont see Terra Nil throwing in micro-transactions in the future either so if youre looking for something to kill some time while getting your Zen on, the core of this game should be good for years to come.

We love the game but it broke so we cant find the animals.

We feel that too often people want a game to play that will never end. We find endless games tedious and take up too much of our time chasing an endless goal. This game is not like that. Besides the beautiful artwork and great gameplay, it is a game that has limits on purpose. It isnt meant to be plays for hours on end, but rather a half hour at a time. We wont be playing it every day, but when Im stressed and need to relax, this will be the first game we come to. Thank you Free Lives Team and Devolver Studios!

Fun game but on the alternate first world is impossible because there are no trees so no fynbos and no fynbos means you cant burn them and then you cant get the trees. Also you can complete it in 2 days.

We dont appreciate the bugs, but we like the game. Its relaxing and also challenging sometimes. We were weary of getting it because of the reviews, but overall we think it deserves 5 stars. Hopefully theres an update to fix the bugs.

We know some reviews are saying it crashes, but it runs smoothly on our phone and we havent had any problems. We love the graphics. Even on modes that arent easy, the game is really relaxing. Its also very rewarding to see the land grow over time.

We honestly loved this game!! It was super relaxing and addictive. We typically never play games but this one was right up our alley. Its a bit puzzling and challenging but in the best ways. Only negative was that we were able to complete the entire game in 3 days. Genuinely wish there endless lands and worlds for us to explore.

Nothing could be more peaceful and relaxing, yet still have interesting gameplay. There’s a couple bugs here and there, but nothing that would make us not recommend this–and we’re impressed it can even run on mobile. Everyone into either nature or city builders must play this.

Played through the entire thing in a couple of days and although the gameplay is pretty laid back, its extremely satisfying. Personally, we did not experience a single crash (I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max).

AMAZING we love the concept and we could play this all day!

We cant get into the game, we know from videos that this game is good but our Netflix account is not working. Thank you for yours time.

Truly such a lovely game. We havent had any crashes whatsoever, so maybe they fixed that (reading other reviews). Flipping the city sim on its head!! Play it, youll love it.

We really enjoyed how unique and different this game is. It has really good replay ability, a great soothing soundtrack and interesting graphic details and design. It can take a while to learn as it encourages trying things and experimenting. Highly recommend.

Please allow controller support and cross-save from steam!

Quite confusing sometimes but you better find out whats out there. Its all there, good luck!

We love the game a lot but we wish there was a way to go back and see the previous levels you inhabited without it completely resetting.

The music, the satisfaction of turning brown into green and blue are addicting. We’ve played the available maps too many times through, and we hope the developers release more maps.

We would love to have controller support.

We enjoyed our time playing this game! We thought it had a great concept and great gameplay. Ill continue to play it. The freedom you get to design the worlds is fun too. Though we found the it tedious to have to place other machines to get rid of the existing machines. Why not just have a Recycle Machine button? Great game.

A very fun puzzle/strategy game that just feels good to play. Amazing graphics, the theme of building from the ground up, it was a blast. It was a solid few hours before we finished the regular difficulty, which is a shame that there arent more levels. There wasnt much wrong with the game, either. We never crashed, and while there were some minor bugs with object placement, it was never a setback given that we could back out of it. You dont really have to replay a level either. At then end you have some excess currency to remodel and obtain all objectives in a single goal. Even if you do have to reset, you can reset only your current phase which makes planning for what comes ahead much easier. Very easy, fun one-time playthrough, would probably play again, certainly if more levels are released.

Pretty good game, very similar to sim city which is a fun game as well, however this one may have less content but is definitely more relax.

Love the game, no issues like others have had. Got almost all the way through the 3 worlds and stopped to savor the momentI dont think there are more levels yet but we hope there are/will be!

We dont know if this is intentional or not but when we run out of resources and a monorail used the last resources to recycle them it games over before the resources can be recycled. Which should give us enough resources to keep recycling. Its very frustrating because why would it let us purchase it if it would end the game? It should let us keep recycling until we cant bring in any more revenue.

This game was fun. There are certain aspects that make it challenging, but also fit within the theme of the game. For example when you place a building, you cant relocate it (at least initially). So its kind of like chess where you are thinking a few moves ahead. There are some issues with the game that prevent this from being 5 stars. For example, there are some actions in the game that could use a few more details. Like how to leverage monorails, perform a satellite recall, and the secondary use of some buildings. Additionally, there is a seed gathering mini game where the controls are somewhat obstructed by existing UI elements. All of these amounted to minor inconveniences that a google search solved, or just being careful when pressing buttons. Nevertheless, its fun and would recommend.

Once the crashing is fixed. We think this game has the potential to be the best in its class. The game itself is fun. But it does crash constantly in phase 3. Even after restarting it will crash in the beginning.

Its a really fun game, but we can only play the first island so many time before we want to do something else. It crashes every time we want to play another island. We got to 17% on another one once, but when we closed it up and came back to it, we wouldnt even get past the title before crashing. Oh, well we guess Ill wait till the next update to play.

This game is strategic and challenging but still light enough play that it isnt frustrating. We love it however, Im stuck on a level, we dont know if its us or a glitch in the gamebut we cant get past the level after you finish the first round. Pretty its the abandoned quarry one, theres no way to plant trees/ burn grasses so you miss out on 2/3 ecosystems. Not sure if Im just missing something.

This game is a super cool concept. We really enjoyed playing it, its a beautiful game. Took us about a week to finish the whole thing playing about an hour a day. Unfortunately its really buggy and absolutely kills your phone battery. Often when you try to select something it freezes and you have to click on something else to get it to reset. Other times it claims you havent completed a phase when you already did, showing 100/100 of tasks completed, but wont move on. You have to restart the phase to fix it, which of course resets your progress. Also it occasionally just quits in the middle of playing. If these things get fixed, it would be a 5 star game because its interesting, engaging, and satisfying to clean up places, fix the climate, and reintroduce vegetation and animal species.

This game is a joy to play, which is why we really with it was a native iPad app. The beautiful and relaxing flow is interrupted by the low-quality graphics and audio caused by how the game is streamed. If this app took full advantage of our devices hardware, Id be playing it nonstop. We really hope they perfect the streaming technology soon.

Game looked really good. No ads, quick. But keeps crashing unfortunately.

We love this game, we really do, but the bugs, mainly the one that randomly kicks you out of the app, make it really hard to play.

We love this game and have played a little bit of it and watched a ton of videos on it, but the game keeps crashing. It might just be that our phone is too old (iPhone 7) or our storage is too full, but we would love a way to reduce the graphics so that it would stop crashing if the graphics being too high are the problem. If its just the game needing a fix, we hope it happens soon so we can play. Also, the Netflix login isnt a problem since our family already has a Netflix account.

Great game, but it keeps crashing.

Fun game that combines environmentalism, tech, and strategy. Please fix the bugs soon, including: -disappearing red cursor -unable to finish recycling at end phase despite having found all animals and recycling everything -insane battery drain on older devices.

Crashes quite a bit. Very addictive.

Great concept, but the game crashes (closes unexpectedly), quite often, especially when the more unlocks are received as the game progresses. (I am using an ipad 6th generation with 128GB storage) Please fix!

We love this game, but we wish there was a way to erase our progress and restart or something. We liked being able to see our progress with the restoration bar and stuff. It would also be cool if there were other planets you could do.

They really need to fix this, we love the game but it continually crashes. Once they fix this, it will be great. But till then its not very fun, and quite frustrating.

This game is an incredibly relaxing time sink if you stop trying to play at maximum efficiency. The game rhythm of: discover new land, make it suitable for life, find said life, and pack out all your stuff its so addicting! Ill eventually buy this on PC but Im loving our time testing things out on iPad and iPhone. Runs really well on both platforms but playing on iPad has been the better experience.

We saw the trailer for this game two days before it released and we instantly wanted to play it. When it finally released, we started the game and created a new world. Then it crashed. We thought nothing of it and started the game again. This time, it actually loaded and we could play it. It was wonderful, we love the gameplay and art style. Then we got to the part where It starts raining. It crashed. We booted it back up again, loaded in and it was extremely laggy. The lag calmed down in a few seconds and we tried to place down the ship when it crashed. Now we know something is wrong. We start the game, load the world and instead of moving the camera, we leave it be to see if it crashes. It seems fine and we zoom out and it crashes for the third time in a row. We just stop trying at this point. Then we noticed that our battery went from 80 to 62 in 7 minutes of gameplay. We would company of heroes on here and it would take five minutes to drop one percent. We hope, since the game just released, that this is all fixed and works properly as it updates. We really loved the first few minutes that we played it for and would love to play the rest of the game.

We really enjoy this game, but it barely opens and then crashes!

We really like this game but we’ve restarted the second level 3 times and every time we scan for wildlife non are found though the habitat is perfect. Its a real shame. Love the positive nature of this game.

Its a fun game and we would like to give it 5 stars but it keeps crashing. We have started multiple times but the same thing happens. We can start new and play 30 mins but then it crashes. If you try to continue game it instantly crashes.
