We love this game. Only real complaint we have is that in marathon mode the change track buttons is right in the way in our opinion.
What about you a thing that you can build anything.
We understand the name is Tetris BEAT but it would be great if when you turn the music OFF in the settings it would stay that way. Also, most cases for the iPad have a stand that works horizontal, not vertical as this game is so you have to find another stand or hold the game up with your other hand to play. Thank goodness they dont make us play the Mac version in vertical fashion. Otherwise the game is a five. We gave it three stars but it will not let us tap the rating for some reason.
It is so cool and has a ton of songs and its lots of funit is super goodI give it ten stars.
Good game but it needs more development and detail and more depth.
This is a great game for someone to learn Tetris and listen to music and its so fun and peaceful.
So we were playing to the classic Tetris beat doing marathon mode and we put a t block on hold and when we finnaly got the t blocks position ready a of nowhere an L block appeared where we were gonna put the T block.
Most amazing fun we’ve had in a long time. Musicians and gamers perfect combo!

Every day time we come in and we put Tap Mode it makes us put it in weird places and sometimes we lose and our dad Also always say they make you put it in some weird places we always complain about it. We are sorry we are rating for only 4 stars because some of them were weird.

We wish there were a way to fine tune the syncing issues with your headphone delay. Its sometimes slightly off and easy to mentally adjust to, but some of the higher BPM songs are impossible with specific headphones.
Loving this game. So far the only thing we would like to see added is controller support.
Using a PS4 controller this game plays like molasses on Apple TV. You tab a button and wait forever to see a result. Tetris requires quick responses and unfortunately this game is not playable at all. Added extra star because it seems promising.

We like this game, but we have some suggestions on how to improve it. First of all, this game seems to assume the controller being used isnt attached to the phone, but thats not always the case. The controller we use for games is a Backbone controller, which wraps around our phone and is plugged in as a USB accessory. We think a good solution to this would be to add support for playing the game horizontally, although we understand if that wouldnt work with the game. An issue we have with this game is fever mode. The visuals shown during fever mode are super distracting and make it more difficult to stay on beat. We think toning down the visuals during this time would improve gameplay quite a lot. Thats all for now. We might update this later if we have anything else. We like the idea of combining Tetris with a rhythm game, so thanks for bringing that to reality!
We’ve never been much of a Tetris expert often will fail within the first five levels of a Tetris game, and Im comfortable with our less than stellar skill with this game. We still find it to be a nice relaxing time killer however, this version of Tetris frustrates us to no end. Its all because of the very unreliable and inconsistent touch controls. Unfortunately we have played lots of Tetris on game consoles with control pads so we have enjoyed very precise control so that if we make a mistake we know its our fault, but the number of times the touch controls mis-read our intentions causing unforced errors makes us want to smash our very expensive iPhone into the ground. Its even more frustrating because the free to play version of Tetris is so much easier and more enjoyable to control than this Apple Arcade version. We assume theyre different developers, but maybe they should communicate with one another because this arcade version has such potential, but we find myself preferring to play the f2p original version, advertisements and all, simply because the controls feel natural. We dont know why some developers are able to create very enjoyable fluid, touch experiences and others struggle to accomplish it. We hope they can figure out otherwise this version of the game will never reach its potential. The controls are the most essential aspect of the game, more so than novel features like music. If we cant get intuitive and precise touch controls then theres really no point in us wasting our time and ruining our mood because of frustration from playing Tetris Beat.
Can we have an option for the joystick and buttons.
Combined with God awful music, ruins the game.
We think the last update 2/15/2023 ruined the controls. We play on touch, and all of a sudden the left/right controls arent responsive at all. We tried assisting the sensitivity, but thats night quite the problem, the controls are just different and more clunky.
We just want to play Tetris. This version adds a bunch of background clutter, noise and mess to what was already a perfect game. No need for all the junk. Just deliver a simple, true-to-the-original Tetris experience. Failed.
This game is arguably unplayable because of the update. Moving the pieces left and right is impossible at higher speeds. Please fix this.
Not the same as good old Tetris, we guess our horrible taste in music did not work out for us.
When you enable the controller it barely works and a lot of the UI is cut off by the physical phone. Would be a cool game if it worked.

We have no idea what this is supposed to be. They took Tetris and made it into some kind of neon thing with club music and bad controls. They show an outline of the shape at the bottom to "help" you know where to place it. It’s something that takes 20 seconds to learn. It’s part of the challenge of the game. But apparently it now requires this kind of hand holding that ruins the game play. Just give us the original Tetris with 8-bit graphics and Russian folk music. At lesat make it an available game mode. Nobody wants this dumbed down eyesore stuff with bad music.
Controls dont work in a way thats quick enough to enjoy the game. Gave it several shots, but Ill have to give up on Tetris. We thought with it being an Apple Arcade game that it would have some vetting. It (and all other Tetris iOS games) is not enjoyable. Too bad. Would love a simple, non-nonsense, payable and playable version of Tetris. Id pay $10 for a simple, 1989 Gameboy-like version of this game.
Controls are awful. Sluggish or too sensitive, never right.
We were looking for a plain Tetris that is not full or all possible trackers and subscriptions. This app seems to fit the bill until you realized that the beat nonsense is forced on you and cannot be turned permanently off. Recent versions suffer from control issues that are not resolved by reinstalling the app. The speed up in the game is poorly implementing resulting in a too easy start up followed by a very steep speed increase. At that stage control is very unreliable even on devices that should easily handle the load. At the end we completely lost interest.
A crappy implementation of a great game that the developers thought they could improve on. Their lack of talent and understanding of the game resulted in a game that is Tetris only by name. Lack of proper landscape support for iPad. Extremely annoying ghost that just tales all the fun away from the game. Shameful.
Theres no sound how am we supposed to play to the beat with no sound?? Glitched perhaps but Im not hearing any music.
Absolutely unplayable with the controls as they are. We were using touch and it was so hard and slow moving the pieces. As soon as they got done speed it was impossible to get a piece to a side and rotate it before it was stuck in place. The controls for the non beat version were way better.
Theres no audio in game, so it isnt really worth playing for its gimmick. If you go through support from this page or through the app totry tofix this, neither link takes you to a place that can help.
1.5 GB to download annoying, flashy animations that who knows might cause a seizure for someone, and annoying music. Enough to ruin a game that would have otherwise been great.
Another flashing game where the background is flashing, this is flashing, thats flashing and its distracting and all we want to do is play.
Even though the game indicates that it can be played on Apple TV. It doesnt work. It doesnt respond to controller input during gameplay.
The latest graphics are terrible. It has been our favourite game for years. The recent graphic shift makes it hard to play and terrible to look at.
Its sleek and vibrant. A really nice looking game. Unfortunately the reaction time in swiping side to side makes the higher levels virtually impossible. Easy moves are missed because of the slow response time of the swipe. Is there something Im missing? We dont know of a faster way to get the piece across the screen. Not very responsive sadly.
Played the game once, probably wont play it again. The function keys are confusing and there’s very bright eye hurting lights at times we guess you were doing well. The drop and tap games are boring and its hard to stay on beat. The marathon game doesn’t even need music and it when moving left and right it seemed to move slightly too slow so we were placing them in the wrong spots.
Great game. Some of the graphics like the level ups cover up too much of the game play.
