The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands Reviews

Hello devs thank you for reading this but could you please dis the bug where if you use Siri the audio cuts out and you have to reset the game thanks.

One of the most well built games with no ads.

The game is fun and addictive we cant stop playing it now.

Now, we normally dont rate games ever, but this game is absolutely amazing. We cant believe we’ve never heard of it. We started playing it thinking id like the graphics and ended up loving every bit of it. We cant imagine how anyone could give this game a lesser rating.

This game is by far one of the best ever u must get it we love it and it has no ads and we dont need to buy stuff in the game.

Engaging and rewarding when you first start. Fizzles out heavily as the days go on. We loved this gave for about a week then, before we knew it, it was on our offloaded apps section for a month. Hope it picks up stream again.

Great Game but quite short gameplay , we done at day 34 it take around 7 hour . But graphic and gameplay very fit together 8/10.

Very very fun experience overall, although it was a bit shorter than Id like. You could beat this in one sitting. But for the price, and since its a mobile game, thats what is to be expected. Anyone that loves starting with very little, and building a big bustling town, highly suggest this!

Hands down our favorite IOS game of the year. At its core its a resource management game with a lot in common with the dark room. If you enjoyed that game you will love this one.

We expected more technology to advance in the game maybe even add modern technology to keep it interesting.

If you dont like hard games you probably wont like this game it reminds us about dark souls.

Yes yes yes we love the game we saw it on YouTube and thought it may be on here and it was it is a great game everyone play it now.

Great game and the design is beautiful. Too short since we completed it in only 2 days.

We had finished the game in a day or two and we think did everything we could it was really fun until we tried to do it again and it felt like the same thing just please add more!

Its a good and interesting concept. Pretty enjoyable but beat it within a couple of hours.

Only reason im giving it 4 stars is cause we wanted it to last longer. We would even pay for an expansion of the game. Would recommend for sure!

Let us start off by saying that this is a beautiful game. The story and graphics fit so well together, and we really enjoy this new type of gameplay. We would give it five stars except for one issue, its not replay able, at all. We found myself getting bored through our second play through about 15 mins in!!! There is no way at all to make any two play throughs even remotely different. Otherwise this might be our favorite iOS. We would definitely recommend downloading, but really relish all the aspects of the game in your first play through, because after that it becomes too redundant.

The first time we saw this game when our friend was playing it we were really wanting it but we did not want to pay for it. Once our friend let us play it we really wanted it. When we got it a couple days later we beat the whole game in 3 days and we were upset that the game was so short. We are not saying that this game is horrible because this game is 1 of the best games we have ever played. We just think that the game should be extended or we would like to be refunded. Please and thank you.

This game with an interesting concept essentially becomes a clicker game later on as all you do is tap Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap After 6 hours you can do so and so it bored us eventually and we uninstalled it. So polish it up and make it not some repetitive crap hole.

Personally we were looking for a game to play in a short time and get it done unlike what a lot of games are today. We were not disappointed. So we finished the game in 2.5-4 hours on normal mode… If anything we would say we enjoyed collecting resources and then using them to improve our villagers…. Thats the type of game this is and it delivers awesomely. And the end of the game was good enough… It wasnt amazing but it was enjoyable nonetheless and the satisfaction you get after completing the game is really nice. So despite the bad reviews we bought it and we dont regret it one bit… Now as for the future of this game we would say it could use some optional expansions… Or even expansions to the original story… Or like maybe you could add the option where the cities youve discovered ask for help against a horde of monsters and you go help like the way you attack the mysterious caves… Overall we enjoyed he game a lot and definitely recommend it.

Great game once you get the hang of it. We only wish theyd add more for you to do after beating it.

Kind of on the pricy side, but provided 3-4 hours of solid fun game play. Very specific type of strategy game that is super addictive for us. The explanation is spot on.

Great game all around but it’s just too short, it’s not worth $3.99 when it only has a few hours of playtime and it’s mostly just tap and wait and equipping stuff and waiting more.

Im giving it 5 stars even though we were insanely disappointed at how short the game was. Starts slow, gets tough, then just when youre finally getting it and rolling with it and psyched for whats to come, it just ends. Super unsatisfying as far as that goes. We liked that it felt a little like a graphical version of a dark room and honestly, loved all the gameplay. We just feel like right when we were getting into it, it ended. Fantastic for what it is. We wont knock the star rating because we feel like we need to give credit when credit is due.

We thought this game was super cool. It was very in depth, always giving something new to do, we especially love how the different traits helped and affected their jobs, some things that we would like to see possibly in the future is for one, so much more content. Theres literally only 1 dungeon for the entire campaign. We do on the other hand like how there is two game modes (normal and hardcore), that part is cool. Just there needs to be so much more content for the price of this game. Like you unleash this mighty being of power supposedly, and then fight one thing and complete the game.

Any updates soon? EDIT ANY UPDATES SOON!!!???!!!???

As a big fan of the survival genre, we love this game. The graphics are cool. Our only complaint is that its sometimes hard to see in snowstorms.

Amazing game honestly is worth the $4 id like to see more we havent finished the game but so far we’ve enjoyed it please keep up the good work and Id like to see more of your work thank you for the amazing game.

Original game with great art style and game play. We would love to see more content for this game!

We thought the game was great, bought it about a month (around when it was released) or so ago and beat it within a few hours, we really enjoyed the time that we spent upgrading the village and (spoiler) fighting the big boss at the end. But after that, we thought there would be more, maybe another land to go to our a possibility to expand our village even more. By there wasnt, we’ve waited this long to leave a review hoping their would be more added. However, there hasnt been since the last time we beat it, we got bored and upgraded the titan to 30 armor and weapon levels thinking it would be fun. Naturally it was, but after that we got very bored with it. Maybe add more things to do? Examples like traveling to new lands instead of just trading with them, add secret loot or maps leading to treasure or something into the caves instead of just simple loot that we could easily get from our villagers. All and all, a 10/10 game, we would love to see the developers do more with this! Im sure many other people feel the same way we do.

Beat the game at day 50 and it was fun doing it on the first try, the game mechanics and the way it runs smoothly is wonderful! It was worth the $4 and our time. Hope you guys can add some add on features or second part to this as we would love to keep playing this for days to come!

We really liked this game for the first 2-3 hours, then when we tried replaying it. It just got boring.

Solid game but desperately needs to allow background audio. We are forced to choose between the game and our books. The game never wins.

Its a great game, we really enjoyed it but the price is outrageous for 2-3 hours of play. Overall a great game, its very well polished. The price however is a major downside and quite frankly this game isnt worth the price of admission. If there is a way to get a refund we would like one.

For $4 the game is kind of a rip-off. We finished this game within 2 days of getting it and beating the final boss was easy. We loved the style and the thought put into the game, however it was very fast and it felt at times it was getting a little repetitive. Every night we would be attacked by those weird dungeon dog creature things and we would have to restart the day. Then we would fortify our defenses, a lot, and then only one wolf would come. We think the story should be a bit longer and add some crafting things to do with meteor shards and gems, and whatnot. All in all it was a good game that we recommend you get, it was very addictive(I can say because we beat it in 2 days) and challenging at times.

Pros: Its beautiful If you like A Dark Room it delivers more of the same worker management gameplay Cons: we frequently find myself doing absolutely nothing while we wait for night to pass or for resources to collect. It needs a fast-forward button and/or more useful actions for our character. The progression is fairly linear without much depth of decisions. Its a worthwhile experience, but not one of the best games ever.

We love games that evolve, this is definitely one of them. Very linear but captivating and rewarding. The two biggest flaws are that we wish we had more detail into traits of the workers so we could find efficiencies. The other is… We want the game to keep going! It ended far too soon.

Great artwork and beautiful ethereal music. However the gameplay is pretty basic and the game itself is rather short. After a few hours you are done. Compare this to similar 2D games like the banner sagas or Crashlands, where the game takes much longer to explore and complete. Just adding a hardcore mode isnt really a substitute for more content…

The number and icon for material is too small and the font color (white) blends in with the background, making it almost impossible to read. Please update to fix this problem. Thank you.

By far a game that stands out, nice graphics, enjoyable gameplay. Im currently having issues with our build tab on day22 its completely blank…. Just wondering am we missing something or did our game glitch.

Was great for a day! Need more games like this here or there. If your looking to sink into something for that occasional day off this is your jam.

Ok this is a super awesome game and all but after the fight with the titan we just wish we can still expand like get more people and villagers and build more stuff not being limited by the game.

A pretty version of A Dark Room that falls down on discovered item description. When you make a break through sometimes there is an onscreen comment about what it can do (don’t miss it because there is no way to see it again) others are just ‘You can now make X’. We understand the purpose of not laying it all out, but there also needs to be some way to know if X is better than Y. For instance, is a sickle better than an axe in a fight? Should every guard have the latest weapon or is a weapon mix preferable because some weapons are better against certain enemies? No way to know. There are enough variables like guards being tired or ‘brave’ or not all running over to fight (bug?) that trial and error isn’t that definitive on WHY you succeeded or failed (e.g. Guard died).

We had fun with this game until we finished it. We thought it was slowly building in complexity, but its really the same thing over and over. The ending comes out of nowhere and doesnt make any sense.

We feel this game is pretty enjoyable. You can progress steadily making the right choices, but at a certain point it’s just getting more recources and not dying. You’re not discovering anything new. And it’s pretty early on in our opinion. We have not completed the entire game, but from what we’ve seen so far we believe that it shouldn’t cost as much as it does. We hope there will be many updates to come. Our favorite part of this game is the atmosphere and finding out what villager should do what and even it all out to create a steady flow of recourses with minimal casualties as well. Speaking of casualties, we believe there shouldn’t be such a strong flow of monsters. Your village can’t grow in population because your villagers keep dying by constant monsters that get larger in number and strength. You also lose the equipment that your guards have upon death, which then you have to use MORE resources AND give up certain jobs for villagers that’d be helpful and then just send them to their deaths instead. We do think it’s a good game, not great. But it’d be better if the cost was lowered.

We hate to see an indie game like A Dark Room ripped off by another indie developer, but thats what this game is, and its a shame. The original is better anyway, graphics aside.

This game is really fun. We love build and survive games, and tgis one really hit the spot. However, there’s a number of bugs, and the game needs to be polished up more in general. The ending is a bit anticlimactic, and the game is kind of short for it’s price. Despite this, we do recommend that you play the game.
