What Makes The Construction Game Stand Out
THE CONSTRUCTION GAME®, a Monopoly style board game, gives players a first hand try at making it big in the world of big equipment and big deals. Bid on jobs, buy dozers, backhoes, excavators, and scrapers, then put them to work. Build slowly or borrow your way to the top! There is no free lunch served at the job site. Be the biggest contractor in the valley.

THE CONSTRUCTION GAME STORY…
In 1992, as luck would have it, a civil engineer named Dave Zimmerman encountered THE FARMING GAME. Dave's business is to provide earthwork estimates to construction contractors. He had also been working on a gaming model to describe the free-wheeling earthwork construction business when he stumbled across THE FARMING GAME. He was so impressed with the business gaming model contained within THE FARMING GAME, he contacted the inventor, George Rohrbacher, and asked George, if through a licensing agreement, that he might be able to adapt THE FARMING GAME to the construction business. After some wrangling, the two struck a deal and in 1993 THE CONSTRUCTION GAME hit the market. Praises for the new game came in from all over the world and the game orders swamped Dave's engineering office that first Christmas. Dave was soon forced to choose between his first love, earthwork engineering, and the game business. Some years later, George and Dave struck another deal and THE CONSTRUCTION GAME became the property of The Weekend Farmer Co., George's game company. Preparing to manufacture THE CONSTRUCTION GAME in the new library-sized box, George and Ann Rohrbacher treated the game like they'd acquired a classic automobile. They stripped THE CONSTRUCTION GAME down to its chaise and then rebuilt it lovingly, piece by piece, to their exacting factory specifications. The result, as you are soon to see, is one of the best games you'll ever play. A close relative of THE FARMING GAME, to be sure, but THE CONSTRUCTION GAME is no clone! It stands on its own, a raucous good time – a hoot-and-a-half! Enjoy!!! George and Ann

Community Insight:
This is a fantastic game with tons of hours worth of fun. The only thing that could make it better is being able to play with other players online.
We have the farming game board game and was happy to see it as an app. Then we found the construction game and love it. So addicting and fun.
We are the creator of this app. We've played The Farming Game and The Construction Game board games since we were about 10 years old. When we first got a tablet it was one of the first games we looked for, but we couldnt find it. When we got started doing apps as an independent developer, we contacted the creators of the game and got permission to do the app for them. This game is a great classic and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Gr8 game that we've always wanted n so convenient on a phone. We only have one complaint to offer about this game and that is the way the computer can consistently roll high job payment numbers while a human player is lucky to roll anything above a 4 and rolling a six is almost nonexistent.
We play the board game with family and play on our phone when Im alone. But now our phone asked for an update.
The Farming Game and the construction game are our absolute favorite board games. We were excited to find this electronic version and downloaded it immediately. We have enjoyed using it to a point. There is another review that criticizes the randomness of the dice rolls, and we do believe its right. We have found ourselves getting very frustrated when our player will circle the board 3 or 4 times in a row not once landing on a paying square, only to have the next few income rolls be a 1 or a 2 while the computer players are consistently landing on paying squares and rolling a 3 or more. This does work to sharpen personal strategy, but once youve played a few dozen games it takes all of the enjoyment out of playing anymore. Maybe instead of one random number generator for the whole game it could be rewritten with a random number generator for each player… Just a thought.
This game is amazing. We found this way of study guides that can take various forms programmer unfortunately it did not even pay attention to it, the way of the relatively poor is another place that in this case graphics eludes.
Redownloaded the game but it keeps saying the developer of the app needs to update it for the iOS on our phone, it needs to be updated an kept we shape.
Bought this game for $2 a few minutes ago. The App Store page claims it is compatible with our device, but once it was downloaded our iOS claims that the developer needs to update the app to work with the current operating system version. We wasnt really expecting much but its sad to know we cant play our favorite ever board game on the road.
The developer hasnt updated the game so we cant use it on our iPhone. Waste of money.
This app will not run on our iPad until the dev updates it. Why did the App Store even let us buy it.
Please update this app, we bought it and found out we cant even play it.
Bad graphics. Not fun game play. We love this as a board game and feel like it was butchered by making this app. The computer players always get better roles. Could be much better.
