Love love love this game but cannot play it anymore because it needs updated. Saw a review response it was supposed to be updated June 2021 but it wasnt. Please update. Our cows need us.
This game is just like the board game. It is so fun! It randomizes the rolls fairly and gives you totals for your pay check, considering harvest, operating expenses, and the space instructions. We think everybody should try it!
The App works great, and figures harvest $$ much more quickly than doing it manually in the board game. This is fun and brings back great memories of playing the board game for hours on rainy days. Well worth the $.
We really enjoy this game having grown up on a farm. With the most recent iPhone update we cant play anymore. The App tells us it isnt compatible with IPhones latest update. Hopefully someone figures this out so we can get back to farming.
We love the farming game, having it on mobile has been great! Its time has probably come to an end tho as theres been no update in 7 years and as of September 21 its no longer compatible with the current iOS. Hope to see it revived one day!
Here’s the thing: we love this board game. We grew up playing this game with friends and family and have spent hours upon hours enjoying the old board game. We recently saw the game of Life on the App Store and thought I’d check for the Farming Game… And it WAS THERE!!! You cannot make house rules, but you can give players a jump-start or handicap monetarily. Aside from that, if you love the board game you will be more than satisfied with this $2 app replicating it! :) And that is why it gets 5 Stars IN MY OPINION. We hope this review has been helpful. :)
Is there any news on when the update is gonna come out? We enjoy the game, but it could definitely use some upgrades.
Love the board game, the app is good, couple of bugs but very minor, needs ability to customize rules more and needs true multi device multiplayer.
Our family loves playing this game, but it does need an update to work with the iPad now. Hoping hat gets taken care of quickly so we can keep playing it!
Has anyone had one of their fields disappear after a couple times around the board? We have it frustrating, we will have 30 acres of hay and then next time around we will have 20… We Love this board game we just want app to Work correctly. Please fix.
Once you go in to the ‘Achievements’ section or click on the scrolling star banner there is no back button to return to the game! The only way to return is to restart your device and lose your game. Please fix this!!
We will update our review when the bugs are fixed. The biggest thing is when we roll a 5 and go to collect our harvest check it’ll change it to something less. Once this is fixed we’ll update our review. We like this game and enjoy playing, but only when it’s fair and works right.
This is a fun game. We have noticed after playing a bunch of games, if you are behind in the beginning you always are no matter what. If you are ahead in the beginning you always are. At least that is what we have experienced so far. Still a fun game. Improve it a bit and we would recommend 5 stars.
Really love this game. Have since we were a kid and was excited to see it in the App Store. Super bummed we have to pay for it again just to get the updated version that works with our phone.
So bought the original boardgame around 1980. It has always been one of our favorite boardgames. However, the app game is not fun. The human player almost never wins. Most of the random dice rolls for the human player somehow end up 3 and under most of the time. Hardly ever get good OTB cards, and the number of negative Farmers Fate cards are plentiful and very common. Not to mention the human players dice rolls to move the game marker are weighted to land on negative spaces most of the time. Example we consistently get sent back to the 2nd week of February multiple times. We more often than not land on your harvest is halved spaces. We land on pay spaces more often than not. Its like the random dice generation software is purposely weighted against the human player. This could be a great game if the programmers would fix the dice roll generator to give the same odds to both humans and the computer players.
The original board game is a lot of fun, but this version has nothing but bugs and sloppy programming. Bots always roll a 4,5, or 6 when harvesting, meanwhile we roll a 2 and get hit with 15k worth of fertilizer fees for the 5th time this year. Human players can hardly land on an OTB, but the computer player has 45 acres of fruit and makes 100k each harvest. No, we dont want the OTB Rattlesnake ridge because we ALREADY OWN IT. This game had a chance to do the original justice, but they blew it with a bad version of a great game.
We really love this game, but you can’t play against the computer, they win every time and we’ve tried everything. The game is rigged.
We really want to try this game out but we really cant because it is not allowed on iOS. Please make it to where iOS can in joy the game aswell please.
When you land in the harvest space for the second time or if you don’t own that asset it should not make you click through the harvest menu. Also once a Ridge has been purchased it should take the option to buy that ridge out of the deck. Same for tractors and harvesters. Once all players on these assets they should be removed from the option to buy deck.
An accurate if dated adaptation of the original game. No longer works with current iOS.
As stated before… The dice rolls are not random, we usually roll 4 and under 90% of the time when the computer rolls 4 and up. Need to be able to make some house rules like must be out of debt to be able to win.
Love the board game! The app doesnt hold up. We consistently roll low harvests and the in game stats prove it. Consistently land on half harvests and we set a PR of hurting our back 3 times in a row and PR of 2nd week of February of 5 times in a row. We can usually predict the exact space we will land on 60-70 percent of the time.
We grew up playing this game with our family. Unfortunately this game is missing some of the rules that make it most fun, like that if you own equipment you get rent, and the ability to customize the rules that is in the original instructions. Most frustrating, is that the coding is written so that the computer ALWAYS wins! Id be equally bored if it was too easy, but really????
Played this game for many hours, both on the iPad and the actual board game. As previous reviewers have said, the game is rigged, graphics are sloppy, gameplay is slow and annoying, and it hasn’t been updated in a looooooong time. Option to buy cards are NOT distributed evenly and dice rolls are far from random. We’ve had many years where our harvest rolls were not above a two the entire time.
Bought it it but wont download because the app hasnt been updated to work with current version of iOS.
We really deeply want to play the farming game on ios but it says that the developer needs to update the app. We payed for it but it’s useless right now and we are out of the money. Please refund, or update the app.
This game is totally not worth the price! The graphics are so old and it moves way to fast for us to see. We want our money back! We are disappointed. Therefor, 1 star.
THIS GAME IS RIGED AND A RIP OFF. When you play with one human and one computer the computer gets all the OTBs 4-6on every harvest roll. Basically we have played this game for a long time and you can never beat the computer. We have tried thousands of times. And never suceded at winning or beating the computer.
Bought and downloaded but cant play because it doesnt work with this version of iOS software.
We bought the board game when we were a kid. We had this on our kindle. Just got our iPad and wanted this game. It needs to be updated. Cant work with the current iOS so basically its useless. Dont buy on the iPad. Go buy the board game. This game is worth playing. So disappointed that it just needs to be updated.
Epic game now on ios. Primitive graphics but plays nice and no bugs that we can see.. Thanks for this app!
Fun game, it’s just like the board game we have!
We love to play the board game so we were excited to see this. The play is fast and the layout familiar. The self calculating feature is nice. It is still a little buggy. When we tried to play a special OTB it crashed. Thanks to auto save nothing was lost but the OTB. This has got potential.
