Robert is a novice, a bit clueless, but with a heart of gold. He lives a peaceful life as a court musician in Asposia’s largest wind monastery. We love this game, best game we’ve played on our ipad. Why not make inner world 3-4 ? We know why, theres some reason, but we wish there wouldve been inner world 3-4.
Omg we love this but it is hard and we like that we like that its a hard game.
We loved this game! Its just the puzzle adventure we needed. The story is unique and immediately interesting. The art style is perfectly suited to the games atmosphere so exploration is fun, and the voice acting is a highly entertaining. It seems that inventory bugs and other functionalities mentioned in prior reviews has been fixed, because we’ve never had an issue. The gameplay was actually really smooth. Go ahead and buy the bundle – youll want to play the second game!
Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert set the standard of fun and engaging game plots for us and we think The Inner World creators spun a story we looked forward to knowing what happened next. Its one of those where your heart goes out to the characters involved. But importantly for us it is also meditative because there is no clock, no pressure, just good calm music and your brain, trying to hack away at the puzzle in front of you. Some adventures games have out there have gone the direction of reducing the challenge level to the point you are basically just clicking through dialogue, but we appreciate that the Inner World does make you think and you even get to combine items you find, to solve certain puzzles, which we’ve always loved. And a nice modern touch that the oldie games did not have is the hint system is there just in case you really get stuck. So as they say, we recommend without reservation.
This was clearly a labor of love. These developers put a vast amount of time, professionalism and work into this game. The puzzles require some out-of-the-box thinking. But they still make sense as you play along. Gorgeous world-building, character development and voice acting. Perfect game for those of us who appreciate thinking and creative challenges in their point-and-click adventure games. Note to devs: The inventory set-up on this game was much better than the sequel. The sequel hid the inventory under an extra button push that got tedious trying out different items. Obviously not a big complaint but if the devs make another sequel, perhaps they might consider using this style inventory instead.
Such a great point and click. Great dialog, great characters, great story. If you love point and click games you WILL love this game. Its worth the price without a doubt!! Hopefully they make more point and click games.

The music and the animation were absolutely wonderful. The storyline for the game whats very interesting with all its many twists and turns.
To echo everyone else here: this game is fantastic, in a whole other category from most iOS games. It would easily be a 5-star game if it didnt have the technical problems; it really is wonderful in almost every way. Now to the only downside: because the game is a bit old, the controls can be very challenging. Here are a few tips for how to have the highest success rate possible for the controls: – When dragging an item from inventory, wait for the name of the object youre dragging towards to appear before releasing – If the character doesnt comment on your attempt in some way then the drag did not work try again – Sometimes you just get a bad drag. Its usually easier to try again than to keep dragging the object around for too long looking for the item names pop-up – Finally: dont be too ashamed to use the tips. Some scenes seem a bit buggier and harder to explore than others. We still had fun while occasionally using tips to help us along so we didnt keep trying to drag something that wasnt going to work anyhow. Somehow this was particularly true for us in the very last scene of the game. Yeah, the controls are buggy, but you get used to them. If anything, we found the first chapter the most difficult and it got much easier from there. We finished the game despite the tough controls and it was very much worth it. :)
This game is great! Great voice work, storyline and puzzles. HOWEVER, There is a serious glitch in chapter 4. We started the chapter without an item that is required to progress. Unfortunately we only had one save point so that leaves us with restarting, something we are not sure we want to do. A disappointing end to an otherwise great game.
We played this game when it first came out and it was very fun! The animation is satisfying and the characters are lovable, but we ran into a glitch and had to email the developer to fix it. Im playing it again many years later and its glitched again and we cant move forward in the gameplay. We would suggest it, but you might not be able to finish.
We somehow progressed to baking the key without having the puppet, now we are trapped at the reception. We cant find any solutions online. This seems like a huge oversight.
We love this game so much. Its beautiful and everything about it is great but we are giving it two stars because even after two years of it being out it STILL has a bug in the last chapter which makes the rest of the game unplayable. The bug is when conroy arrives with his petrifying gun. His basylian is nowhere in the court yard so you cant move forward.. This happened to us when we bought the game two years ago and Id have thought that by now the developers would fix it. They have not, and the inventory is buggy now too! We’ve had the same phone this shouldnt continue to be a problem.
We thought there was an issue with the screen sensitivity on our phone but realized the issue is the game. The storyline is great and we really enjoy the challenge of the puzzles, but we greatly dislike how difficult it is to use the inventory. We’ve considered quitting the game due to this frustration but we paid money for it so we’ve decided to continue. When using the inventory we notice it takes A LOT of effort to select an item to use it properly. Another annoyance is that it easily activates our iPhone settings screen. Extremely frustrating but great game otherwise.
We love this series and this game so much so we hate to complain, but the sound isnt working at all on our game, is there a way to fix that?! Thank you.
It says it’s for the whole family, but midway through the game there’s an onslaught of cursing with the b-word.
For example, every time a random animation plays it crashes and kicks you out. Another problem with this AND 2 is that we had to stop playing because the game glitches and didnt give us something important.
The constant tapping trying to get the game to select what Im tapping on is so frustrating and its making this game unplayable. We purchased the bundle and finished part 2 first because this one was giving us so many problems. We thought it was our screen sensitivity but we went back into the reviews and apparently its been going on for a while with A LOT of people and the developers must have just said fk it, and arent planning on fixing the issues. There are bugs, the game doesnt save, and you cant click on items or the hints or anything because when you do click on them, NOTHING HAPPENS. We have a brand new phone so we knows its not MY issue, but then again, maybe its just an issue with newer phones?? We dont know. All we do know is that we payed for this bundle and only got one playable game. Im not happy. Dont waste your time purchasing the bundle or this one by itself because it still doesnt work and its Aug of 2020. The issues have been going on for 2 years.

This game was recommended by a friend but now Im sorry we took the advice. We should have listened to the bad reviews. Controls are unresponsive and awkward. For instance, we try to combine two inventory items 6 or 7 or more times and nothing happens. We look in the hints and it says to do exactly what Im trying to do. We do it 2 or 3 or 4 more times until it finally works. And thats just one of the ways in which gameplay is clunky and tedious. In addition, the game is quite slow moving when we click on an item – we click, theres a pause, then some dialog, we click on something else, theres a pause, then some dialog, etc etc. Get the picture? Tedious and slow and frustrating. This isnt fun. Its basically unplayable. Way too glitchy. For the first time ever, we want a refund.
Although the concept and story of the game is unique and interesting, there were many issues involving tapping an object and choosing objects close together. The bugs in the game made it continually difficult to focus on the art and story. Additionally, many of the puzzles did not make sense. As an avid puzzle game player, it made us disappointed that we had to rely on hints because many of the puzzles were unclear and unconnected. This game had potential to be great, but lacked in the programming and the connection in puzzles.
We want to like this game. We just spent $5 on the bundle of both. Im really disappointed that its so buggy. We try to click on things to interact, talk, combine, but the game just doesnt acknowledge or respond to our touch. This is an issue with this game only. Maybe one day itll fix. We hope so, as the game seems enjoyable. 1 star till fixed. Its practically unplayable unless we want to spam touch our screen till it decides to cooperate. Or crash…. Which it also does.
The puzzle mystery of the game is well thought out but the program has a so buggy that we finally deleted it out of frustration. Do not buy this game. You try to click on things that are supposed to work and they dont.

We downloaded the Inner World in June and immediately encountered the crashing that quite a few people had recently mentioned in their reviews, which we were not aware of, because we had not read the reviews prior to purchasing the game. After the game crashed several times in a row we decided to go back and take a look at them. Much to our chagrin we read review after review lamenting this issue and many that stated they had no contact from app support. We can gladly say this was not the case for me; we messaged them on a Friday, and they got back to us on the following Monday. They were incredibly helpful and able to make it so we could play the game on our iPhone 8. The game is wonderful and we spent many hours playing both the original and the sequel. Would highly recommend both.
Love the game so far! The animation is quirky and reminds us of some obscure animations such as Rock and Rule. The story also has a Nausicaa vibe, due to the mysterious disappearance of the wind, and the symbolism of the wind. A must get app.
Excellent game definitely one of our favorites we’ve played on IOS. There is an issue theyre aware of within saving the game, they are aware of the issue and we hope trying to fix it. The is a function under tools called wishingwell2.0 you we put a command which is: startchapter# and will start you at the beginning of the chapter. We had the above problem and emailed there support team, it took them about a day and a half to get back to us according to our email it came in pretty late/early in the morning because we believe theyre from Germany, at least we know this game was like #1 Germany, game is completely in English though. We really look forward to completing this game its super awesome and really addictive. The players arent 2 dimensional except for the visual part, and at least we really grew to care about them as characters in an awesome game! We cant wait to play again and go on to buy the next game The Inner Worlds 2.
When choosing a save game it force closes us out. Bringing us back to our home screen.
This is a fascinating game just as what everybody is saying so we wont go deep about that here. Our problem is, the first time we played it we made it to the stage and show part, and then it crashed. Didnt save any of our progresses, had to start all over from the beginning, and it crashed again. Ever since that we wasnt even able to open it because it would crash right after we open the app. Have tried to restart our phone: didnt do anything. Reinstalling the game: absolutely did nothing. So frustrated our system is iOS 11 and we didnt know if its the reason, if so please update so the game wont crash. We really really want to continue playing it…
What an excellent game, you really do feel you in a cartoon. Great challenging puzzles. Good plot. Simply gorgeous. This game is a must have, for gamers who love adventure puzzle games. Manoj.
We absolutely loved it. Art was amazing, sound was fantastic, gameplay was fun, the story was interesting. When we got stuck, the hints helped us figure out the next step without giving it away. Just all around 10/10.
We wanted to replay this before buying part 2, so we downloaded this again to play on our iPad Pro iOS 11. Gameplay is fine until we save and quit. At that point, every time we reload a saved game it crashes and we cant progress – we have to restart a new game. Any chance of getting it fixed? Id really like to purchase part 2.
Downloaded game twice and once we finish a session we cant get back into our saved game. We really enjoy the game and would love to finish! Please help.
Im a huge fan of the point-and-click adventure games of the 90s, and this game was like getting our first fix since Broken Age came out a few years ago. We highly recommend this heartwarming, funny, and enjoyable game. It feels just like the classics and we’ve become a diehard fan. With that in mind, there are a few kinks with the game on an iPhone 7, mostly when it comes to interacting with objects within your inventory. The hint system is also incredibly finicky to navigate, but if you never need a hint, thats not an issue ;) Thank you so much for this game, and please bring us more in the future!!
The Inner World is an incredibly creative and original game. The gameplay is (mostly) intuitive, and the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging. But the writing is where it really shines. The storyline is engaging; the writing is witty, funny, tender, and never dull. Theres a ton of dialogue, making the NPCs endlessly entertaining. Every character is fleshed out, and youll find the most interesting people in the most unexpected places. We would easily have given this 5 stars, except for one major issue: the hint system doesnt work at all. We can see how its supposed to work, but it just… Doesnt. You click on things and nothing happens. Another more minor issue was that looking at/using items in your inventory is pretty difficult. We played this on an iPhone, for reference. Overall we enjoyed this game a lot, so much so that we bought the sequel, which is even better! We highly recommend both games.
From the little bit we’ve been able to play its an amazing fun point and click adventure game! Its full of funny, witty jokes, the artwork is great, and the story is unique! But Ill play it for about 30 minutes and it crashes. After that we cant get back into the game cause it keeps crashing!! We really want to continue the story but we cant :(. We’ve even re-downloaded it in hopes that it would work again but nothing works… We really hope the developers fix something because we know this game would be amazing.
Its a great game so far, but it doesnt save progress whatsoever. We reached chapter two and it force quit out of the app, so all our progress was lost and we couldnt get back to it. We restarted the game and the only object that we needed to move on somehow disappeared from our inventory! Im not sure what this is or how to restore our progress, but for however long we got to experience the game, it was fun.
So far we’re really enjoying the game but we’ve now made it to the stage and it just keeps crashing. Looks like a review from another player has the same problem. Hope this is fixed soon so we can keep playing!
Criticism first: 1) we hate it when you can’t pick things up until they are ready for you to because we waste lots of time trying to deal with situations without the item we need because we thought we couldn’t get it!! 2) A full set of directions on how to combine items and how to separate them is needed. Maybe folks who play games nonstop find it intuitive in this game, but we don’t. 3) Hints are good up until the last one of a series where several fall short and we ended up going to a walk through. Praise: Very good story, we like the combination of stills and live action, we wish the above were not problems because it made it frustrating enough that we’ve stopped playing the game. Summary: There aren’t that many puzzle/room games that are complex enough to be continuously interesting but not so oblique as to keep us going to the end. This one let us down, and we wish it hadn’t.
Its not optimized for the new 11 iPad, and every time we loaded the saves the game just crashes. We cant play anymore, please fix it, thanks!
We love game for the shot amount we played before the game started crashing so now we cant play plz fix.
So the first stage of the game is great but once we get past that it keeps crashing! We have the latest IOS so idk why this is happening. Please fix the issue so we can play the game or refund our money please.
Played once, saved game, tried to play again the next day. Every time we try to continue our 1 saved game the game shuts down on us.
The game does not save, we’ve had to restart several times, and now its just getting annoying. Also, its misleading to say the game is for ages 4+ it has mature content in it not suitable for children!
We would love to play this game but after we close our saved progress we can no longer open our game! It kicks us back out to our home screen. Tried this twice, after we had gotten pretty far in the story mind you, and still kicked out. Would love to play and rate higher but cant fix this problem. If you are seeing this and can help please help.
We’re in Laura’s hideout and the game crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME we pull the lever. Complete waste of money if it won’t let us pass that.
The story and puzzles are well thought out but we played it once and now every time we try to launch our save it kicks us out.
This is a great game- we played it for like 4 hours last night but now Im trying to open it again and it wont even open – it just crashes after we click on the 3 saved game options… Hopefully yall can fix this – otherwise we wasted our money. :(
We have enjoyed this game but now we are at a stand still, almost at the end of game, we are at wind chapel and need to connect the mirror ball to ring, but the hook symbol does not show up, the Symbols and ring symbol does show up, we are so frustrated, can you tell us what to do so we can finish the game?
