This is our favorite game and we play it everyday when we get home from school! Our we have no complaints and just wanted to tell you guys to keep up the great work!
Havent played since the game first launched, now Im starting to remember why we stopped. Too many players gathering high level tiles for resources faster than our army can require the resources to conscript an army or upgrade buildings. Cant zoom in for close up on armys when engaging into battle. Not many ways to obtain new heros other than huge pay wall.
A very bad update with changes that do not help anything and only increase the changes so that the developers can make more money.
2.0 killed your game, these people are money hungry and grubby little goblins.
Played this since day one, with one of the best fellowships. Completely addictive. Now they broke it with 2.0.
We dont mind the occasional money grab but, The worst thing someone in the entertainment industry can possibly do is to create some thing that is not entertaining. We find 2.0 absolutely boring. Its lame. Not fun. Its not even that we just dont want to grudgingly pay, its that we actually dont find this version Fun. And neither do most people. A lot of these guys dont mind paying a lot of money on the condition that the game remains an absolute party.
This game used to be incredibly fun, but the devs decided to force the 2.0 update nobody asked for on everyone and every person we have played with hates it. Go back to the old version or a lot of players will keep quitting. Many whales have already received refunds into the multiple thousands of dollars.
Gollum said it best about NetEase and the Developers behind this game. Everyone has been deceived. 2.0 is a massive failure for all its players. We only ever spent .99¢ on Aragorn and Im glad we never caved in and bought anything else. We feel for others who truly invested their time and money into this game, only to have it ripped from them with this update. That is theft at its finest. All under the guise of a update. Its not an update; its an entirely new way we are being FORCED to play. We dont plan to play after this season is over. What a joke.
2.0 update is essentially a new game. Developers are actively purging people from the discord that is not happy with the update. Android went from 4.9 to 3.6 and dropping. Im already getting our refund from Apple for everything we spent and its a little over $560. We strongly encourage everyone to fight for the refund and remove this game and definitely give the app 1 star.
Pay to win and they will wipe whatever you pay for in the end. Waste of time and money. You get better service at the DMV.

The version 2.0 was a disaster you destroyed the game and released it way to early. There are to many bugs and you destroyed the game just to make a dollar off of people. You need to go back to the old version until all of this get resolved.
We have been playing for 8 seasons known as Ruir aka lord of goldfish. What the devs have done is low dreadful you didnt make a better game you ruined f2p. Even myself whom has spent quite a bit the years is having a rough time. So congratulations if you do kill the game. We pray its not the end but if it is see all our boys hopefully in something better in the future. Peace out, Ruir.

They forced a complete overhaul of the game no one asked for. They made commanders and gear that people spent money on completely obsolete. The only way to be competitive again? Spend more money! Absolute disgusting cash grab.
Tried 5 different new servers and regardless of what faction we choose the game throws us randomly somewhere else to start that doesnt make sense or match what we picked. For example: we dont want to play in Rhun, which is why we didnt pick them as a start. If theyre the least popular area (which we can only assume is why the game set us there), then maybe something else is out of balance which is why people arent picking it. Throwing us there doesnt solve the problem – it just further aggravates and confuses a new player. If we make a dwarf we want to be around and join up with other dwarves (or insert any other race/faction there – as noted we tried multiple ones on multiple new servers but not once did it match). At this point Im done receiving new rings and just deleting the confusing mess off our phone instead. Good way to alienate new players.
The game developers ruined this game with the recent 2.0 update. If you are Free to play dont waste your time.
The update is not an update. Its more like a different game. Sad to say but the worst update we’ve ever seen in our gaming experiences. We will no longer make purchases and probably ultimately will delete this game. We think full refunds should be forced.
The new update has made things so weird and its confusing we dont like how things work now can it please be changed back.

The game started out awesome. The gameplay was amazing, the maps and commanders were awesome, but we are quitting it today. Im not a fan of the 2.0 update, at all. The new update is just far two confusing. Not only did it reset all of our commanders progress, we would now have to relearn how to play the game, while still in the middle of the season. In our opinion, everything was perfect the way it was, but having to navigate and try and remember how all this new stuff operates, is not it. As much as we love Lord of the Rings, this game has just made things way more complicated and confusing than they needed to be.
We have played the game from almost the start. It has been super fun and loved the game & lore. As a Free to play it took forever to unlock our first T3 commander and as a result our best commanders respect lvl wise are T1. The 2.0 update feels like a slap in the face and even more so for our paying friends. Our Grima took forever to get to R13 along with R10s for Khaldoon & Ugthak. The update dropped them & gave some respect items, not the amount that raised them to their previous levels. At least we didnt have it as hard as our friend who had Grima at R22 and it dropped to 10. So far on day one it feels like they thought long and hard on how to screw over the players and did that. The game has always been about speed, tile taking, and the fights. Now having to use more than one commander to take on even a lvl 30 mob feels wrong (commander is lvl 35 and was easily fighting them before update). We were really hoping version 2 would hone the masterful game we had. And give features & improvements to the almost perfect system. But alas not. So at least at the time of writing we are giving it a go, but we probably will sadly hang up our Elven bow & sheath our Uruk sword and morn the game that was and could have been. We are giving it a 3 star for the great game it was, if it was just the changes we would give a 1 star.

Its a great game. Really put thought into it. P2w does have an advantage over f2p, as expected. However, they recently updated to a 2.0 version, and 1.0 was so much better. Not loving the new version.
The old had it balancing issues but was exploitable. The new update is painfully slow pace. Honestly wish the made 2.0 a separate game and left 1.0 alone.
Player since release with minimal spending. Great game thus far. With 2.0 update not happy with the swiftness of changing the entire game and mechanics. A lot of time and resources spent to be set back based on developer determination of value.
Messed up the game. Go back to original. After years of playing why you gotta be that greedy? You gonna get sued, and we wouldnt blame anyone.
The new 2.0 update is horrible. The game is taking the progress we have worked for, and negated it. So sad, it was a very fun game before.
Good: When we first played this game a few years ago. We had a blast playing the first season. It was very confusing, but once we got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun. Conquering the map of middle earth with your favorite characters from Lord of the Rings while making fun conversations on world chat, it was great! Bad: That is, until you realize that the further you go on, the greater the gap becomes between those who pour insane amounts of money into the game, and those who just want to have fun. Second season is a waste of time if you are free to play. We’ve played the game for months and only gotten 1 Gold commander. And our main commander never got past Tier 7. Worse: They just released Version 2 of the game. And oh man is it bad. Super laggy. The items dont make any sense. It makes it infinitely harder for players to scale their commander and organize their units. Its just a mess. We think Im not alone in thinking this might be the end of the game. And good riddance if so. Thats where greed gets you.
After version 2 this game was utterly ruined. It got rid of things that were fun about this game. We used to enjoy this game but we dont like it anymore. The developers really ruined this game:(
The new update is probably the worst thing to happen to the game.. Lots of commanders that people have put loads of time and money into are not worthless and their ranks decreased. It seems as if we were robbed.. There is no point in playing the game as it is not the same nor fun anymore.. It has become 20x more P2W. Please change the game to the original style of 1 commander leading a army instead of 4 different commanders in each. It is a terrible idea.
The new update changed the game completely. It was fun, but now we are done. Hope that it will improve over time. We dont think we will be the only who stops playing.
The changes implemented in 2.0 make the game boring and stale. Absolutely nothing about the core game is true to Tolkiens work and Im 100% sure that if the Tolkien estate knew what was going on here they would have never signed over the licensing. The developers have never listened to their customers and the game has become very p2w in almost every aspect. Save yourself the time and do NOT download!
The changes for 2.0 are trash. They took all the money from the people who have spent the last two years paying big bucks for this game, and screwed them!!! Pathetic.
Only playable if you are a big spender with this new update. Veteran player are now leading the game since developers dont listen to feedback from player base.
At first the game was fun and amazing they then entice you to spend money for little things here and there and now have completely changed the game. Essentially all them money that the players have paid to get specific items was useless, because nothing is the same now. They have pulled the old bait and switch, having people spend for one thing and now completely changed everything that you spent money on. Then they ask the community for feedback to try and save face and COMPLETELY IGNORE the feed back they get. Its become very clear the DEVS of the game care nothing about what the community and players think and are going to do whatever they want anyways. If you decide to give the game a try you will have very few players to play with as a large mass of players are quitting and deleting the game biased off of the complete lack of understanding and caring from the devs. We know of at least 300 people who have quit already and the number is only going to rise. Unfortunately when / of the devs ever actually decide to listen to the players and community it will be to late because most of not all will or have quit and wont come back.

We’ve been playing this game since it came out. We’ve put serious time and investment in our account. The developers decided to make a brand new game that followed none of the games design and forced the new version of the game on the player base without a choice. Some of us were in our seasons of play when they changed everything. Completely invalidated almost 2 years of investment in an account. None of the items do what they did. None of the commanders have the same abilities to go with the items. What kind of development team does this sort of thing and gets away with it? If you plan to play, dont pay – not even a cent. Anything you pay for could be changed at any time.
It was passive and strategic before with super addictive elements, which was good and bad, especially if you spent in game. Now its a slow, time consuming throw away and most want a refund. Frankly, we dont know how a new player would even begin.
The absolute fun of this game for the past 3 plus years has all been wiped away in the matter of 1 un-necessary update hat has ruined literally everything about the game. If you were going to make changes then you should stop having these Hot Events getting users to spend there gems or cash and getting absolutely fleeced time and time again as no one gets anything but the same tired pieces over and over. Furthermore anyone who pays for a gold mathom token thinking they will get anything would be better off playing Russian roulette with a howitzer in there mouth thinking they will win a single thing. Talk about mass exodus of a game. Violins are playing, ice berg demolished the ship and theres no going back.
After the 2.0 update the game became a whole different game and was not as enjoyable anymore.
Totally changed the game. Basically a new game altogether. Not starting over so just quitting at this point.
This game was overall pretty fun. The most time and money we spent on a mobile game. But then the devs forced their 2.0 update on us in the middle of the season. Completely ruined the game. They gave systems to redeem items and commander levels but the system is broken because you now need respect from other commanders in order to get back to previous levels. In other words the devs ruined the game in an attempt to make a new version where they could greedily make more money.
As a F2P player the latest update of 2.0 has completely ruined our experience sending the once balanced game for F2P and spenders off a cliff. Spending nothing you can now get nothing, no matter what we tested we would get a losing result because of insufficient gear and respect.
The 2.0 update was a massive, massive mistake by the devs. It reduced or outright eliminated the progress made by players over the past two years and made the game even more difficult for progression as f2p or a paid player. Expect that 3.0 will do the same. Dont trust this company with your wallet or your time.
All our time, money and effort was totally lost when they updated this game. The update is a cash grab to get people to spend even more money.

Lets take a look at the last few years. Commanders buffing and nerfing, world chat belittling, finding friends across the entire planet. Easily one of the best mobile games until now. This 2.0 is awful. We gave it a shot, tried to like it, couldnt. The fan base this game once had is quickly dying out. We wont be playing again. Dont recommend.
