The Secret Elevator Remastered Reviews

Suspicious of the high rating this game has. We dont see it. Puzzles are not particularly challenging, game doesnt actually save your progress, and a lot of the interactions are very basic. Deleted.

After playing the game about 30min and returning to it, it only saved until about 10 min in. Frustrated, we went ahead and restarted. We replayed everything and more. When we went back in again, it was back to about 20 min. Each time we lost 4 puzzles and about 20min. Until they add the ability to save for yourself, its not worth replying over and over again.

Seems fun and gave it an hour or so. But now, it wont start. Hmmm.

Some of the best sound design we have come across. We really appreciated the full 3D motion control. The movement does seem a tad slow but it fits with the overall atmosphere of the game. We do wish there had been a bit more revelation at the end but as they indicate this is more a recollection of a dream and we have our own ideas on what the scenario really is. We thought the puzzle-solving aspect was fairly straightforward. And there is one particularly unnerving jump scare developers!

There was no music, and limited sound effects. The navigation system was beyond annoying and we spent way too much time trying to get where we wanted to go. Kept ending up in corners and behind doors. When we did get the magnifying glass that indicated a hot spot it was usually nothing we could interact with. Quit and deleted. Lots of better games from Glitch, Forgotten Hill, Rusty Lake and more.

We go in the game and it kicks us out we tried everything so refund please.

Paid $$$ downloaded then got stuck on the part that says tap the right side of the screen to Study the objects and cant do anything. Will change when we get response and fix.

It’s a great first offering from a new developer…. Lots of originality, wonderful graphics and music… We really enjoyed it. The puzzles are good, but we think the interface makes it easier than it has to be. It would be more challenging with a different kind of interface. Still, it’s a good game. We encountered a big glitch while playing and thought we couldn’t finish, but when we went back in to get a screenshot for the dev, it was all resolved and we were able to finish the rest with no more problems. We appreciated that there was an epilogue but it’s timed and we don’t like timed games…. They make us tense and we play for relaxation…. So we started it but didn’t finish. Still, there’s a lot of good here.

We enjoyed the Secret Elevator Remastered and the Timed Add-On. They were a welcome breath of fresh air in the sea of puzzle games we have played thus far. The puzzles required more thought and thinking outside the box to complete. If theres one area that we were disappointed in, it would be the endings to both the original and timed games. They were not as dynamic as we had expected and left us wanting more. But, the overall games made-up for this slight disappointment. We had a real sense of accomplishment when we finally completed each game. The Timed Add-On added another element to an already challenging game. We had to play it several times in order to successfully finish the game. Looking forward to future endeavors. The skip feature failed to work on our iPad Air 2 running the current IOS 11 software, which became frustrating as it took us several attempts to solve the Timed Add-On.

DON’T PURCHASE – BUGS ABOUND!!! Addendum to original review: we’re now in the train section of the game. It’s clearly got a bug because there’s a suitcase we cannot open. We’ve interacted with everything possible and we can no longer progress through the game. This is supposed to be a "remastered" version. We suspect it was just renamed in order to get more rubes like us to purchase it. Reducing rating to 1 star from 2. If we could give it a negative rating we would. Original review: Purchased a couple of hours ago. Controls are simplistic at best. Easy enough to follow clues. Game glitches out randomly however, and you can only look around. If it’s been a while since a save point, this can be annoying.

In the mood for a point-click puzzle adventure to pass the time? This does the job. Decent puzzles; and the graphics and music set the right tone of moodiness and mystery. Price was worth several hours of entertainment and there is a free add-on plus a brief game preview. You won’t be blown away if you’re a veteran of these puzzles. We wanted a little more depth to the story and some kind of character development… That’d be like icing on a cake… With a scoop of ice cream. But we like cake even without those things.

Entertaining and challenging but not so difficult &/or frustrating you want to throw your device across the room.

Newly enhanced, this is the definitive edition of the game.

We leik how there’s puzzles but also story and lore to the game.

Gameplay has improved significantly, although the walking is slow. Some bugs that occasionally cause the game to freeze. Good graphics and improved storyline. Free add-on available as well that introduces a new chapter. The add-on adds a time element that’s less than ideal for mobile gameplay that gets frequently interrupted. Overall a vast improvement on the original!

We recently took a break from playing "escape room" puzzle games but this one caught our eye. This captivating game had us hanging on the edge of our seat with its solemn yet calming ambiance. PLEASE MAKE MORE GAMES LIKE THIS!!!

Enjoyed the challenge but wasn’t overly taxing.

This game is amazing! Not only was it all developed by one guy, it’s one price gets you 2 new DLC’s since purchase. The game plays like a far off dream you would have had at one time and point. This aspect of the game, dream like, gives you a different perspective of just a point and click. In all this, it’s a great puzzler. Very challenging at all times. We cannot recommend this game enough, it’s great!!

This is the best game U have ever seen it is bone-chilling and an amazing mystery.

We really enjoyed this. It was beautiful and just the right length. We hope there will be a sequel.

Fun game if you are into the genre. Has a myst vibe to it. The movement and mechanics are good and the puzzles — while a bit repetitive — are logical. The game can be a bit dark (as in, hard to see) and it would be nice to see some novelty when it comes to the puzzles, but it is solid for the price. Plus, the developer seems to be on top of bug fixes and updates.

We would like it more if we were able to get past that one symbol puzzle! It’s been two months and nothing.

Can’t even get into the stupid game. Don’t wast money. It doesn’t even work.

Slow, clunky controls, boring game.

We don’t get it….. We think we finished it and we thought it would be good, but it’s just a bunch of crap…. You can try out the game if you want, but we feel like it’s pretty much a waste of time to be honest.

Challenging (but not impossible) and creatively different puzzles. We were hooked, played the whole thing beginning to end in one sitting.

The game is wonderful but the update makes the visual go terrible by there being weird color filters whenever you move.

Ok we spent 1.99 on this game and it was just like throwing our money away. Fix the visuals please.

Just difficult enough to be fun and still challenging. Definitely worth the 1.99.

Just the right amount of difficulty, where basic logic will help you with any clue. Great escape kind of game, but with more thought and a story line behind it. Loved it!

We really liked this game. For those of you who like puzzle adventure games, this is a decent game. The puzzles are not too hard and not too easy. The story line and atmosphere, on the other hand, are very dreary, so if that does not bother you, you should enjoy this game, especially since there are not many puzzle adventure games out there to enjoy.

Yes the money isn’t much to buy this but honestly this game should be 100% free. You’ll waste your money like we did if u buy this game. Here’s our reasons u shouldn’t spend the money: 1) the game is very dark – it does tells you that but still it was to dark even with your brightness on high 2) the game doesn’t help you at all, your completely on your own to figure everything out, yes there a help button but it don’t give useful hints or help you at all, it’ll just say "something opened" after you unlocked something.. Not so helpful… Basically you end up walking around clicking random things 3) theres no notepad but there should be some sort of notepad so you can write down clues or passwords you come across.. We had to screen shot most so we could remember them later on when we needed it. 4) without YouTubers figuring out the really hard parts for us we would have rage quit this game not completing it because there’s no help from the game itself so thank youtubers ..5) the game is actually really short lived.. Theres about 4 parts to the puzzle then that’s it, game over.. Your done… 6)the story line it self is odd, was we a human? Ghost? Alien? Nothing? We thought we were an unconscious person looking for a way out but nope, not based off the ending we had.. Im thinking we’re not human or at least not alive or living on earth. 7) our list can go on and on about the negatives of this game and you can either buy it and figure it out yourself of heed our warning and spend you money on something better.. 8) are you still reading this?!? We’ll have fun tapping your screen 100,000 times, if u down load this game… 9) theres better game out on market 10) ok we’re done, after (7) we just wanted to make a list to 10 and we’ve completed our list, sorry our last three were trolly lol.. Over bad not a good game, we want our money bad. We could buy a piece of candy with our money .. Candy is way much better lol.

It’s a fun game that makes you use your mind, we like it.

We fund the game extremely challenging and really frustrating trying to find clues and items – the approach was alien to us – but we completed it and loved both the challenges and the ending…

To be short – this game falls in the category of Myst, The Room, Puzzle House, etc.. Won’t compare/contrast all those to this one but we found it to be fun, just challenging enough, and for lack of a better term – soothing because of the music. If there are any detractors out there, we’re not sure how much more can be expected for $1.99. Very much looking forward to the next release.

In the vain of Myst and some of the other originals, this game does a good job immersing you in their world. The level of challenge was great, although once you figure out the patterns you can move quickly. Beat the game quicker than expected, for that price it could have been longer. Fun time though!

This game was challenging in many ways… The controls were challenging, the clues weren’t really clues, so we just ended up tapping our way through the game, the story line was hard to understand. Overall it was a decent game, but nothing like the Room series. We’re giving this review 4 stars, but we think it should be priced at $.99, because it didn’t take us but four hours to finish. If the controls were easier, we would’ve finished in an hour.

Nothing much happens in this game but it had a mysterious quality that appealed to us. It needs some work. Very dark in some areas and often the details were difficult to make out even with brightness turned up to max, and we didn’t get why you enable players to pick up objects that can’t be manipulated.

The effort it takes to zero in on your target to be able to engage it is excruciating. Enough said.

Way too cryptic. We loved games such as The Room and other puzzle games involving collecting items and using them, but in an attempt to be out there and weird, the game designers made it much too difficult to understand the objective of the game. Also, we had to restart the game because it wouldn’t allow us to press on things after a while. We enjoyed the game for about 20 minutes and then got super lost.

This game/app is too complicated and frustrating to warrant spending money to buy it. Save yourself time and money by passing on this one.

This game is frustrating because when you zoom in to inspect an item, you find out that all you can do is just look at it. No interaction… We pushed a few buttons, and entered a simple code that took the elevator to a different floor that was very similar to the first. This game couldn’t hold our interest at all and we deleted it after spending way too long trying to figure out what the point of it could possibly be.

It takes such a long time to move around or accomplish anything in this game. Not only that but it also made no sense and the end of the game was totally anticlimactic. I’d pass on this one if we were you.

We were excited to play this game based on the screenshots. There were many puzzles to solve… Not difficult… But the ending was extremely disappointing and confusing.

You are trapped in a dirty corridor with locked doors all around. The app gets stuck at times. Very few of the objects can you look at more closely or interact with. After 10 minutes we pushed a button that has done nothing and opened a drawer that had nothing in it. That was it. No more.

Buggy… Get stuck after leaving the elevator. Not able move at all…
