This one of our all time favorite games. Each puzzle throws something new at you so it continues to make you think. Each new doodad that is introduced is interesting in how they interact with the others so it never gets stale. Graphically clean and the sound effects are correct as well. Perfect!

If youre a programmer, youll probably love this little puzzler. We know that we do.

But when we think back to the ones we have played, and how we wish we didnt waste so much time playing them, this is one of the only games we dont regret. Its smart, polished, fun, and really improves the way you think. Like others have said, its somewhere in between the feeling of programming and doing a crossword. Thanks, game dev, you made something worthwhile, and you should feel good about it.

We enjoy when playing this game and it forced us to think of the best solution Special thanks to the developers for that.

This is a very clever puzzler. It has become one of our favorite all-time apps, beating out Trainyard from the distant $0.99 days. Looking forward to [sequence 2].

We love the game! We loved it so much, we bought and played the sequel. We wanted to play this one again, but havent been able to find a way to erase our profile, so that we can start the game again as a new player. Right now, the game has all of our puzzle solutions saved in it. We were hoping a developer could reach us through this review to help us figure out how to delete our save data.

Im about halfway through this game and we already bought the sequel. The design is fantastic. Its a top notch puzzle game and is also extremely mentally relaxing. The music is so chill and the sound effects are also very satisfying. The whole thing together makes you feel like engineering genius. Well done to the devs on this. This is our favorite thing in a long time. Cheers!

It has real challenge but you don’t have to guess, you can actually figure out the solution. We’ve been play without using hints, and a couple of times it took all day to figure out one puzzle. That makes it a great value. It’s even a better value than that though, because there are all these sandboxes where you can play for hours. Thanks for a great game. Please make more.

As good as Human Resource Machine or Cosmic Express. But it needs a debug function.

Im still working through this and cant wait to move on to the sequel! Very clean, with an extremely beautiful design, and great sounds too. Adding a few other background music tracks wouldnt hurt but we really cant find any faults. This is a wonderful puzzle game!! And we can see that it might still challenge if we reset and come back in a few months.

Im stuck. We like playing the game but you only earn one hint each level and there is no other way to get more. So we’ve reached the end of our game play because we cant figure out the next levels.

We have. Brand new iPad Pro (v2) and the app does work. We cant drag and drop the movements in the build mode. None Id the buttons at the top work either.

This is a great puzzle app that’s fun just to dip in solve a problem and enjoy a few spare minutes. We love it.

Aesthetically very pleasing. Very challenging but rewarding game. For watch lovers. Or anyone who loves mechanics.

Simple, easy to understand rules (with nice animated help in case you forget what module does what) and head-scratching puzzles that make you feel accomplished once you figure out the solution. Best of all, no IAPs or ads.

To be honest the screenshots of this game make it look as enjoyable as a trip to the dentist office. Once we started with the tutorial we wasn’t sure if we would like it. Much to our surprise we found it we love it! It is such a unique puzzler and it feels so rewarding when you finally figure out how to solve a level. Highly recommended.

This is the best puzzle game we have played this year.

Clever little puzzler will entertain you for hours.

We’ve played tons of iPhone games we’ve loved but never reviewed. But after playing this for a couple of hours we feel compelled by a deep admiration for this game to fully endorse it. We got it while it was free, so we’re not sure what it normally costs but we have no doubt the price is more than justified. Beautiful presentation, brilliant puzzles, and the satisfaction of watching your contraptions work make this one of the best puzzle games we’ve played on any platform. Bravo!

This game is the bee’s knees and the cat’s pajamas. Knees and pajamas are awesome. So is this game. Get it.

So cleverly done and such a pleasure to play. We feel like at the end we’ll be qualified to construct quantum computers.

We’ve now completed all 48 main levels and have started on the core sequence ones. This has been amongst the most fun and addicting puzzle games we’ve ever played on the phone. The concept is pretty simple, but the solutions can be amazingly complex. Highly recommend! As if it wasn’t already fun enough, once you realize how manufacturing principles apply to it, it turns into a factory simulator (kinda). Many puzzles can be solved by applying the theory of constraints. Identifying bottlenecks can help you figure out where pieces have to go. It works, and makes the game even better! Our only negative, and this is very small, was that we used a lot of hint points on level 48 thinking we were going to be done anyway. Just know that there are more levels after that and don’t waste like we did! Great game!

We finally completed all levels (no hints!) we were both happy and sad that there were no more levels. More games like this, please!

We have never played a game like this. Design and execution are just perfect. We hear it gets really challenging after level 20 or so.

We get frustrated by illogical puzzles. If you put your mind to it, and maybe take a break occasionally and look at a puzzle with fresh eyes, you can solve these, and it is so rewarding when you do.

We have one thing that would make it better, enabling the sound button in the menu that would turn the sound off. There are some places that we don’t want the music playing, but don’t want to turn off the speaker of the phone.

This game is super well designed and engaging. The puzzles get way harder but not in a way that makes their solutions unfeasable(like just having the puzzle get bigger to the point where it is impossible to comprehend)

It’s everything the other 5-star ratings say, and more. The author has done such a great job, we’re in awe. The only downside is that there aren’t more levels.

A truly great puzzler, and more than that, this game is a great "pick up and put down" mobile game. We were really sad when we solved the last puzzle. We want more!

Really different and interesting puzzle game.

The Sequence is genuinely difficult but rarely frustrating. It requires a different type of thinking than anything we’re used to. The ah-ha moments of figuring parts out are so satisfying, and we feel like a genius every time we complete a level. The folks who designed the gameplay must be brilliant freaks.

Our only complaint is that eventually we will solve all the puzzles and then we will have to find a new puzzle game.

Great machine building/puzzle game. Please allow sequence numbers to be equal to total number of available widgets we each level, not just widgets on the board. We think this would be helpful.

One of the best games we have played, perfect amount of difficulty and awesome mechanics.

Brilliant little robotics puzzler. This was very satisfying to work through. We’re at level 29 and we really have to try a lot of different permutations and sequences to solve these puzzles. Robotics 101.

We love puzzle games and this is the best!

This is our FAVORITE PUZZLE EVER!!! It is a very TRUE FIVE STARS!!! We loved it so much because it wasn’t to hard, not to easy, it just took time! It is definitely something you should do when ur bored. We love this puzzle so much. So thank you developers for making such a fun and puzzling puzzle-game! (It is definitely worth that $1. Totally worth it)

After figuring out the rules, this game is very stimulating and challenging. The instructions could be a little more descriptive but we think that’s part of the challenge of the game. Very gratifying when you complete a puzzle. 5 stars for sure.

We are amazed with this game. Very clean design (which we love!) and definitely challenging. Background music goes very well with the game as well. 5s.

We very rarely will take the time to write a review. When we do, it’s because we feel very strongly about something. Usually it’s to warn people of something negative. This time however, we just had to write a positive review for this app. We are so glad we got it. The game is beautiful, explained very well, and get this: it’s actually difficult unlike most puzzlers (once you get toward the end). If you find other puzzlers too easy, give this one a try. Highly recommend.

This is our favorite puzzle game on iPhone.

This puzzle game provides a suite of simple actions that must be combined to create more and more complex machines. It requires logic, sequencing, and creativity in a wonderful package – very much the skills needed to do computer programming. We do think the levels where a new action is introduced could start with a more obvious puzzle or two to get acquainted with the new action. IMHO, some first encounters with new actions are trickier than they should be. Fantastic game for learning programming skills without writing a line of code.

This IS NOT a variant on the classic simple find-a-path push puzzle. It is boldly new. Given an assortment of modules that have configurable behaviors, you must complete the objective of getting a binary-object from a generating-source to a consuming-sink. In actuality, you are constructing pipelines of self-modifying code fragments, where the components alter the state of the board and other components. Brilliantly designed puzzles for the adept thinker. This may be one of our all-time favorite puzzle games ever.

The Sequence is quite possibly the best puzzler on iOS. It’s extremely stimulating and provides a sense of achievement like no other when a puzzle has been solved without help, awarding you a "hint point." There’s a lot of tricks to play with as well as a sandbox mode so the replay value is great. A must have to keep your brain sharp!
