We would continue to buy more games like this as Im also a fan of the monkey island series etc. And we were totally hooked while playing. The ending was underwhelming though, felt like a cop out. Wasnt a fan.
Amazing throwback to the classic PC adventure games!
We had a lot of fun with this game, we have not enjoyed a game as much as we did this one in idk how long. Its very well thought out and put together, we highly recommend this game. We really really want a part 2 of it, please consider making part 2 Ill back you on kickstarter!!! Thank you!

Players, If you are an aficionado of the beginning of adventure games, you have found paradise in this game. If youre new to this genre, you are in a realm of greatness. We loved mid 90s Lucas Arts games and this feels right at home. Its uber funny and alternately, quite moving. We love the changes in perspectives between the 2 detectives ultimately working together, then branching out to all the other characters. Its cartoonish but still manages that human element. The ending is unique. Also it is LONG. You get your $ worth. We love it. We plan on replaying after we forget some of the mechanics and puzzles after a time. One of our favorite games in a long while.
If Ron Gilbert is involved or leading any project, hours of fun and laughing at the finest jokes in video games. Loved the game, is just a matter to see when Mr. Gilbert decides to get another of his finest games out again. Btw, loved to follow the podcasts as the game was being developed, it just helped learn about the game and feel closer to the project and built anticipation for the game to be released. This game is a masterpiece. We wish beep Disney hands back the rights for the monkey island saga to Ron.
So we stumbled across this game and when we realized it was from the creators of maniac mansion we were so so so excited…. Back in the day with our Commodore 64 that was our favorite game . This game does not disappoint… Its full of humor and clever puzzles. We just beat the easy mode Im gonna go back and try it on hard! Thank you creators for bringing back a real adventure game.
As a fan of 80s and 90s point and click adventure games, this checks all the boxes. Humor, challenge, immersion, character development.
Loved it! Super long game, we played it for days. Only issue was sound sometimes cut out during character dialogue.
We debated a long time spending so much money on this game. And we wasnt super thrilled when we first started playing, especially with the controls (really, we have to press open to open a door?). But the game is worth the price – not only is there a lot to do, its very clever. The storyline is great. And as a child of the 80s, we love the throwback-ness.
Amazing game. Havent been hooked on a games for a long time. This game is a genius retro game using a great story. If youve played Maniac Mansion, this game will blow your mind and youll be wanting a sequel made ASAP.

We expected the game to be shorter, but was pleasantly surprised that it kept us busy with puzzles, quirkiness and humor for days on end. It does bring with it a special nostalgia and the writers knows how to capitalize on all of us CD-ROM kids. Loved it! We would play as many more as Mr. Gilbert can create.
Worth every penny. Has all the classic jokes and tropes of an old school adventure game. Lots of great 80s references. The voice acting is hilarious too. We didnt want it to end! It was nice and long though and full of plot, puzzle, science, goofiness, and meta-break-fourth-wellness. We just got so attached… Even to ransome who is a total tool. Buy. It.
We were searching for Maniac Mansion in the App Store for about the thousandth time when we ran into this game. We played Maniac Mansion on a C64 and loved it. We loved the references throughout this game. Thimbleweed Park is a great game. It is more than worth the money. We loved the puzzles as well as the hint hotline. Please continue to make similar games! <3.

The game never requested a rating at any point, and we never go out of our way to review anything, but we were so impressed by this we had to leave a rating. We put 7 hours into it on casual, and loved it. Hoping more games like this come out!
Im a huge fan of Day of the Tentacle and the Monkey Islands. Playing this totally brought us back, we loved it so much! We wasnt aware of the Kickstarter for this project, but we would definitely be on board for future projects with Terrible Toybox.
If you liked Zombies Ate our Neighbors then this will really hit you in the heart. From the jokes, to the pop culture and vernacular references, we feel like this game was made for us! We genuinely laughed and had a wonderful time playing this. Its got nicely challenging puzzles and things to figure out. The different character storylines were interesting. It has a few cool little twists in it, and the entire adventure game experience of it all was well worth the price. Its really exceptional. Well done.
As the title says, Ron Gilbert does it again! It gives us the same feeling as if we were playing Monkey Island on our PC as a kid. Well worth the $10. But the game and support so Ron will make more of these amazing adventure games.

This game really took us back to the days of Maniac Mansion and those Indiana Jones adventure games. Loved the pop culture references and the nods back to past games. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who loves a good puzzle game.
For years we’ve dreamt that the makers of monkey island and day of the tentacle would make a new game… We are in heaven. Hours in and have not beat this yet. Money well spent.
This is probably the best game we’ve ever played on an iPhone. If you dont like it, maybe you should get good or get lost.

Wow, awesome! We loved maniac mansion so we were excited to try this. It doesnt disappoint. Amazing game, please make another game just like this in the future! (I challenge anyone to beat this game without using any in-game hints, we couldnt do it and we bet you cant either!) Thanks to all the developers.
Highly recommend this adventure game. It’s hilarious, a little spooky at times, with an engaging cast of characters and a fun mystery/storyline. Also, super fun voice acting! Please make more games like this. :)
We honestly can not say enough good things about this game! The controls are wonderful! The graphics are welcoming and retro! That is a nice thing to see these days. One of the best games we have played in a really long time! This game is long enough and not too short! We lost many hours of sleep and late for work playing this! 5 Stars All The Way!!

This game was so good.. We couldnt stop playing for the week it took us to beat the game. We used to play Lucas Arts games like Monkey Island, Sam and Max, and Day of the Tentacle in our childhood so this brought back all the good feels. We loved the pixelated retro look! The game was funny, complex, interesting… We will probably play it again in a year when we’ve forgotten how to beat it. Until then… Developers, please make another similar game. We need more games like this in the world.

Played on new iPad Pro 12.5 worked like a dream. It was well scripted, great puzzles and a longer game. Loved the monkey island games as well we wish they still worked on our iPad. We tried to play them again recently and we couldnt. Looking forward to more of your games. Im a die hard adventure enthusiast and your games are well worth the time and money. Once again we Cant wait for the next one.
This is the best mobile game we’ve played. We think we got about 21 hours out of it. The whole game is very interesting, the puzzles aren’t easy and they’re ingrained within the story very well. The ending was unexpected; this game kept us interested by not revealing too much until the very end. This game is phenominal.
All we can say it, is that it brings back memories of the good old point and click adventures. An amazing game and iPad is the perfect platform for games like this. We were holding off buying it on Mac and ps4 and Im glad we did. Its perfect with touch screen and you can play it when you travel. We hope more games like this will follow and release on ipad at same time as other platforms.
This title brought us back to our youth. We grew up playing Kings Quest and have fond memories of buying a new computer just to play the newest Sierra game. We have played every title we could get our hands on from Adventure to this one. We were hooked the second we saw the game mechanics where there are any number of interactions and choices for the characters. This makes the game so much more challenging and fun. The game is large and worth the price and we thought the story was excellent. Developer high five for the secret decoder hint book and all of the other classic easter eggs.
We’ve enjoyed playing their other games, such as Monkey Island / Monkey Treasure Island 2, and Maniac Mansion and we loved all the Easter Eggs, although some of the corners were a bit confusing sometimes, we guess it must have been the signals. But other then that, great pixel art, grand story, and an epic reboot of classic game comedy and gameplay!
We dont normally write reviews but this game is one of our all-time new classic adventure game favorites by the AMAZING Ron Gilbert. Hes a genius and we’ve loved the games hes helped to program/develop since we were much younger. Thimbleweed Park has awesome, nostalgic pixel graphics; good, fun gameplay; witty characters; great puzzles; and its even a pretty long game to boot. It is COMPLETELY worth the price, and Im salivating at the hopeful prospect of more (that sounds gross). But we am. And this was more than great. If we could give it 6 stars, we easily would.
Totally loved it! Very similar to Sierra games (Liesure Suit Larry, Police Quest, Space Quest which we wish were on iOS!). If you loved those games growing up, youll love Thimbleweed Park!

Immediately after playing and beating the game we replayed it. We love the puzzles, the humor, and the way the entire game draws you in. Number 2 on our best game list, and number 1 in the our mystery puzzle game list.
We grew up playing a Commodore 64 and enjoying text adventure. Eventually we started playing classics like maniac mansion and Zack McKracken. These games were so well written. Its always been about the story. Thimbleweed park is an absolutely mind blowing game that is not only brilliantly written but is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. We cant wait to see another game in this genre.

Amazing really reminded us of playing grim fandango remastered. Great game!
