Find out what gamers are saying about Tower of Fortune:

The odds are scaled poorly, progress is slow and uninspired and replay value after tedium is poor. The idea here is excellent but its not applied well. The pacing is very slow and it falls incredibly short of a rogue-lite. It could be amazing if it were laid out well and some semblance of progress for replay value were implemented but unfortunately it never is. Four times now theyve made the game and each has been a bigger letdown than the last, a shame as this could have been a good series.

For a game that looks like its being played on a calculator, its fun. The grind is good, and it give you enough options to customize your build.

Recently rediscovered this game when our teenage daughter re-downloaded it onto her phone. Immediately recognized and remembered it, immediately re-downloaded it myself and commenced playing it for hours on end. The most frustrating part so far is only being able to purchase 5 more multipurpose slots (armor, talismans, etc). We have collected 2-3x that many items, and since its not possible to change out items once you encounter an enemy, theres no chance for customized fight strategies. We’ve hit level 28, and reached the Bridge, and the top monster there is nearly undefeatable without using 5-6 restore HP potions. Not sure if that means Im trying to advance too quickly. Also, at this level, the initial weapon, Flame Sword, seems to be quickly outperforming any of the other 6 or so sword options we’ve collected, except maybe Wind Dancer (double attack 50% chance). Still, despite these difficulties, Im not ready to give up playing yet, just getting the impression that its time to settle in for the long haul if we want to make it to the end. Let the grind commence.

Something almost addicting about this game. Very simple and fun. Absolutely no need to buy anything to win and the option to buy in game things isnt thrown at you every 10 seconds like every other game out there.

For a game that is only $0.99, this app is very fun and addicting. It can be at times a little frustrating but we guess we just have bad luck. :) The retro black and white pixel graphics and RPG style game play help this game be way more entertaining that a plain slots game. Trust us just play it y’all.

We liked this game until we used earned in-game coins to buy an extra equipment slot and a bomb item, and it took the coins but didnt give the items to us. Im deleting this and will never buy games from this developer again.

Retro pixel graphics, classic rpg setup, quite enjoyable.

Got a quest to rate it for money so we are rating this amazing game.

Fun use of random chance, quirky and fun, we are a big fun of different RNG methods and this is cute.

We could definitely see the RNG of the slots pushing people away from this game, but the mechanics are frankly very well thought out and implemented. It is certainly tempting to spend real money to speed up the process of getting multiple endings, which we did do once, but actually grinding up to that point isnt terrible. The mechanics are strangely rewarding in a way that we have never considered slots to be. Excellent work, devs! Especially since you let us buy keys.

We love this game. We think it is the best single player game app on the iphone. And it doesnt drain our battery like half the apps.

We like this series. While we prefer ToF2 because it refines a lot of the mechanics in how you fight, level up, and have to consider risk versus reward, this first installment is still fun and challenging.

The best. We’ve played it along time.

We played through it ages ago and just came back to it for a second play through.

Great simple and yet entertaining game.. Cool Rpg elements, love the ti85 look to everything. No pressure to spend real money.

This is a really good game that has a lot to offer.

Cant beat it for the price, lots of fun. Luck and a certain amount of strategy involved in this game.

Its a very simple game that requires basically no effort, but we love the LCD look and the little animations. Enjoying it thoroughly, almost to the top of the castle thingy. Give it a shot!

A subtle yet stylized nod to the fantasy action genre.

This game strikes a great balance between random chance, skill, and character building strategy. We have been playing it on and off for about two years which speaks to the games quality, most mobile games only last a few weeks on our phone.

Im really surprised more people dont mention this game. Its a really fun game to pop in and out. Portrait mode, RPG fun!

It has its quirks- the mute button doesnt work sometimes, its froze on us if we answer texts midgame, but its so addictive. Overall one of our favorites.

The sequel is better but this is a fun game for $1.

We’ve read it gets silly hard but itll take you a while to get to that point in the game. All the while, youll be thinking the NEXT roll will be your best yet – maybe it will be or maybe it will be your doom and you loose everything.

We always play this to pass the time on our flights.

A fun and original idea for a game.

If you fancy retro graphics with amazingly fun mechanics this is a total winner. We collect vintage games and this captures the feel and atmosphere perfectly with some more modern refinements. Its worth triple the asking price. Game Stew became our fave Dev with this. We couldnt help but buy 4 of their other offerings within a few minutes of playing it. Dont hesitate.

We’ve had this game in our library for years now and we love it.

We usually dont like these types of games but this one is fun. Recommend!

Love the retro look. Adventure great in waiting for something. Have played other games from them. Give them a try if you like a epic quest, in not a lot of time.

This game is way addictive and easy to play, if you are into RPGs, and want a perfect bathroom distraction, this is it.

We have been playing this game for years and we love it for so many reasons. First, it is fun and simple. It is great for those times when you have lunch or some time before bed. Second, fun graphics.

Just fun to play with a little time or for a long time. Fun fun fun.

Super retro game. Easy to learn. Endless fun. Great leveling and equipment earning.

All we can say is our luck in this game is really bad even if we get our luck up in the game we always manage to get killed. You definitely want to grind the level before you go up.

Tl:dr few good hours of gameplay, pleasant to look at, not too hard to avoid dying but if you die you start over, simple gameplay doesnt take away from experience. Would recommend. This game is enjoyable to play although the gameplay is simple and only involves letting a slot wheel spin the lack of ads and retro design style make it better than almost all other games we’ve tried. According to other people it seems once you progress far the difficulty curve becomes too steep we’ve played for about three hours and havent found any issues yet. Our only problem is that if you die once you restart but we didnt find that to be a huge issue.

It is a pretty good game, its done a good job at consuming our time like any good entertainment.

Good to waste a couple minutes.

We cant find any way to ask questions on the Support site. This game takes time to learn, and you will make mistakes early in the process. Is there any way to reset to the beginning of the game so you can play from the start once you learn?

The whole thing seems pretty pointless and a lot of the art doesnt match up.

We played this game when we were a boy back in the iPod, and now that we’ve found it again it is really taking us back, Im enjoying it quite a bit.

This game is mindless fun. We love it.
