Im looking at some of the Reviews and most of them are critical of all of the ads. It may be because Im just now starting to play this game recently but Im given the choice as to whether we want to watch the ad and get 3X coins (or some random award) or continue with the game. We dont see the ads as an issue at this point. Still trying to figure out the leveling up system but Im having a great time playing this highly addictive game.

Its fun Paid for it But once we got to level 418 we cant beat it using different methods Its wanting us to pay for more stuff just to beat the level.

Good game, fun strategy. Pay a few dollars and adds are no longer a problem, otherwise forget it. Can entertain for hours. You can build your characters (very minor boosts) but it is difficult to tell if that really helps, thinks so but am not sure. PVP is not real, you are playing against the app. This game could be great if they would include real Player vs Player. We are ok if they substitute computer players to fill in when not enough players are not online. As it is, we suspect we will tire of it in a few weeks.

The price for things in the shop is actually insane and the coins are basically pointless but the actual gameplay is satisfying and fun so yeah.

We have been playing this game for a while. We paid to remove the ads (not that expensive and totally worth it). The PvP is not really against other players, and now that we are at level 20 gold of pvp, which we had to wait for updates to get higher, the levels repeat. The repeating levels is okay for us since we can learn the faster way to beat them. Our issues are: we have a ton of coins and nothing to spend them on, the battle pass came out, but we have no idea what levels mean to progress on it, if it is pvp then we will not be able to progress much since it takes a long time to go up 300 places. And we have almost fully updated all of our guys and tanks so we are missing out on new updates of what happens when you get more ranks with them. We play this game every day and LOVE it. Just needs a few tweaks to get a 5 star. :)

Im pretty sure multiplayer is still the computer. Cus they make the same moves EVERYTIME on the same maps.

This is a really fun and well developed game that Im glad we came back to following the updates and new gameplays. Its a lot of fun and fairly addictive but the effort and time put in are in no way rewarded by the developers. The cost for in game purchases are ridiculously high for the quantity and even quality of items you would receive in any other games and other developers. A $50 spend will get you a single legendary unit that can be revived through random rolls, and a few coins that are easily collected in standard play ( the fact that you can get a legendary unit through normal means is the saving grace of this game!!!). For that amount of spend, most other games provide several different items of high value and even give additional gifts and rewards for spending that much. The reward ranking system is poorly thought through and executed – as you rank higher your rewards stay the same as if you were in the lowest ranking. We really enjoy this game but if things arent changes to better reward the user, theres no doubt it will begin to lose players. We personal spend a good amount on mobile games per month and would gladly do the same in this game of it was worth it! We hope this catches the attention of the developers and makes you consider your users. Youll make more revenue from happy customers who are validated and rewarded for spending their time and money on your products.

Its a fun game but ads stop you right in the middle of playing. If the ads were only after missions it would be way more fun.

This is a great game, but has lots of ads. We went ahead and paid for no ads to help support the team. Devs have to eat too. Our biggest complaint is it seems too unbalanced during PVP. For instance, our total power could be 1635 and it matches us up with someone with 750 power, and they still overpower us significantly, as if we had half their power. Needs better balancing, as well as, matching up with people with more similar power rating.

They let you play it for free until you start to enjoy the game then they bombard you with ads. Typical. Sometimes we wonder if the games they are advertising are owned by porn companies, they get you addicted to games with inappropriate ads. Children play these games and develop addictions to being online. Then, they slowly ease you into gambling games and pornographic images and games via aggressive advertising. Its all a very predatory system. Someone should really do something, (I wont because we dont have kids so we dont care.)

The games fun and we respect the need for ads. But there are way too many adds. We spend more time watching the same old ads than we do playing the game. We would even pay just to have the frequency of ads reduced.

The game is challenging and fun. However, ads will literally interrupt and interfere with actual game play. Tower just taken over and youre about to stop an enemy attack. Too bad its time for an ad. This happens even in PvP. Yeah good luck winning those challenges once you level up.

Tower War is a fun game and there are a lot of reasons to play. For one, it is not a pay to play game, other than paying to remove adds. However, there are also a lot of things to complain about. For one, there are glitches with the Leaderboard system. It often shows your points as lower than the people you have ranked above. And for some reason, when you get to the top of a league, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are often messed up, like showing 3rd at the top with only a 1000 points. Another glitch is the Player vs Player (PvP) often shows you playing against three people, but then when the round opens, it’s only one. And this is not a case of people quitting, because they are always BOTS (see below). For some reason, if you play on an Apple device, it does not show your country flag like it does with Android players. Also, your progress does not sync or save. If you ever delete the game and reinstall it, you start over at square one with zero progress. One major complaint is the speed of the Leaderboard after every PvP round. It is agonizingly slow. There is no opportunity to skip it or speed it up… Even if you’ve paid for no adds, the game bombards you with in-game sales adds at the end of almost every battle. And the adds are also slow, causing a delay. The supposed sale for Gold soldiers or tanks is a RIP Off. It’s $50 for two. If you are new to the game, it’s misleading. One, you are not made aware that two will only get you to level 15. To get all the way to level 25, you will need like EIGHT MORE. In addition, if you are new, there is the impression that with the new gold soldier/tank, you will play against people well below you and smoke them easily. But as soon as you upgrade, you are pitted against people with level 25 soldiers and tanks, making your purchase worthless. With enough patience, you can win these characters in the game. Another complaint is the Leaderboard itself. Instead of just having ONE global ranking system, there are an unknown number of league levels, each containing 300 ranked players. You start off in Bronze 1, if we recall, and then progress through five levels of bronze, then silver, and finally gold, but it just keeps repeating. We are currently at Gold 29. There should just be one league so you can see where you rank against all players. The one nice thing about the league board is that every time you get first place, you get a moderately decent award. This could be done with a global league board though too… Also, the PvP is misleading. You are playing against BOTS based on the gear of another player or players. This is evident in that the players ALWAYS follow the same set pattern. And you are never placed in the position of the other players. And finally, the top PvP players max out at 10,960 with level 25 soldier and tank, which means they have NO equiplent installed. For example, we have the gold soldier and tank, both at level 17, but with equipment put on, our power level is 19,831. The PvP battles only have like a dozen different levels. This may sound like a lot, but this is the most frequent play mode of the game, so it’s VERY repetative and gets redundantly old quick. Another thing is that at the end of every PvP or Secret Mission, you get a chance to spin for a "random" prize. There are often mostly coins as the option, when you really need gems or item boxes. On the few occasions where ther are more gems and item boxes and only one coin, it nearly always lands on the coins. And once you spin and get your reward, there is an opportunity to spin again. The spin itself takes too long to reward you and then there is a delay before the NO THANKS appears so that you can go on to the next battle, making the overall process agonizingly slow. This should be there right away. At the end of every regular play round, you get coins, but again, there is an opportunity to double them IF you watch an ad. And if you don’t want to do this, there is an agonizing delay before the NEXT button shows up so you can move on. The Daily Quests are cool and give a decent reward. However, once you have progressed far enough in the game that your units are all ranked up, it is impossible to complete the quests without either spending money in the shop, or playing for hours just to get first place in your league again because you can no longer upgrade your units. There ought to be a way to exchange gold for gems in the shop. And finally, summoning units costs 25 gems. You can win a solder or tank. There are four levels units for both soldiers and tanks: *Grey *Green *Blue *Gold For some ridiculous reason, there are (2) grey soldiers, and (2) grey tanks, (2) of each for the green, FOUR blue soldiers, (3) blue tanks, and (2) of each for purple. You really only need one of each, so the others are redundant, and only decrease your odds of getting a gold unit in the summoning. Here is the REALLY crappy aspect of the game. If you have a unit maxed out, instead of removing that unit from the possibility to be summoned, you are awarded 5 gems instead, REGARDLESS of the color of the unit if you get one again. In the very least, green ought to be worth 10, blue 15, purple 20, and gold 25. The shop is pretty lame. There ought to be more items available for sale. In addition, the shop only gives you an opportunity to buy equipment for gold every three or four days. Most of the time it is for cash or gems only. With just a few minor changes, the game could be so much better and way more fun to play.

We’ve seen reviews about ads during a mission or main game, developers havent changed it. So if you want to play and have ads interrupt your game, then by all means play, Im done with this.

If we run into an ad that we cannot control the volume, we exit and re-enter the app. So frustrating to not be able to mute ads, even though we have actual gameplay muted.

The game itself is great. Simple and classic. The issue is the ads that will cut into the middle of playing. Its CONSTANTLY stopping you and then asking you to pay a ridiculous price to not get ads. We doubt we will keep the game much longer because this developer is moronic.

The game idea is simple and straightforward, the first level is as all these other games are, no ads. But after that you are bombarded with ads, so many so that in the level when a new advertisement on the billboard comes on it will freeze for 2-3 seconds. We understand making money and thats fine, but dont have ads mid level ruining user experience and dropping engagement levels. 5/5 level design, 4/5 gameplay, 1/5 user experience.

We love playing this game, but the ads during game play is ridiculous. They do this to get you to pay for no ads. We turn off cellular and the internet to stop all ads. But the ADS in the middle of a game deserves 1 star and maybe then the developers will rethink ad placement. If they dont, Ill just delete the app!!!

The game is an imitation of another game that has been around for far longer. What makes this game worse is there are ads after every level, and the price to remove ads its nearly triple what the other game offers.

Edit (31MAR2023): A new update is present. Now, the AI cant use the rocket launcher, making levels even easier. And the player vs player, still an AI behind it. Not a real player. There is still no real PvP mode. Why do you need internet for a PvP and the secret missions ??? This game is fun to pass the time, especially during travels. And in planes, two out of the 3 modes cant be played still. Bummer. Edit: Seems like the lives are gone. You can play without internet. They implemented a Player vs Player mode. Well, considering there is an ad break in between and you can chose to bypass it it and it resumes the game instantly, also considering how dumb other players are, you are competing against AI. So to say. Still lot to improve in order to revise our rating. Will give it a try in a few month again. Original: This game is well made, not too buggy. Recently a nice upgrade with bridges over a river that can be destroyed and some bugs fixed. Though, the level of ads are horrible (ways to bypass, but still). It is adding ad breaks inside every single game. Its taking away the envy to play. We understand ads are necessary. But too much and youre not playing anymore. Its called being too greedy. We reached level 4648. At that level, yes, youve done the same level countless of times. This game is nice to burn time when nothing else to do. Now, they introduced lives, and it takes 1 hour to gain 1 live. Well, the counter is not de resign at all. Guess its because we do not have internet. So forget playing in a plane. Level 4648, that must tell you how much time we spent on your game. This recent update, we need to thank you, our addiction to your game is definitely gone. The game get uninstalled right away.

We’ve deleted this game from our device because of the ads that pop up while we were playing the game. This is unacceptable, the ads could have waited until the game round was ended. Im rating this game (because of the ads) at only one star because we cant rate any lower.

The game is good, but you spend more time watching repeated ads than playing the game. For example special missions gets one ad before you start, one as when you spin and another ad before you start the next game. T And we paid for no ads. Do what does no ads mean?

We played for maybe 5 minutes before we gave up because an ad force played between every single level after the first few. Some levels lasted 30 seconds and then we were made to navigate 15 seconds of ads. Absurd.

Cool game, Id play it longer but not playing it when we have to watch a 30sec+ annoying ad after every level.

We liked the game but there were way too many ads. But wait, the developer will remove the required ads for just $4.99! Except now the levels become impossible unless you watch the voluntary ads. And f thats not enough, theyll sneak in voluntary ads. You know when youre spending in game currency? Sneak in an ad for you to click because youre focused on the game? Yeah. Do that. We wish this developer a speedy bankruptcy. Dont bother with this game and do not give them a penny of your money.

Genuinely fun timewaster game bogged down by horrendously predatory microtransactions.

This game is fun. Love it! But waaaaay too many ads. We cant complete a pvp game without running into an ad. This is a fine start game but how many ads its one star. Terrible.

We understand a developer has to make money so they need ads. That would normally not bother us but when you have a round that last less you then a minute with an ad in the middle and at the end of each round it is ridiculous.

When u get to the fun levels they play adds way too often, at the end of every game and during half of the matches. Edit: we were told the update had less ads, so we updated it. It has exactly the same amount of ads, and we also noticed that pvp isnt real. Why pretend were playing other people when ur playing the same computer, but with names? Lol.

Before you could disconnect the internet from the app, but now even you dont give any authority of internet, they still push ads, so deleted already.

The ads are way to many and in the middle of missions it runs so like the greed is crazy so happily deleting this ad. One ad after beating the level is annoying in the middle of a mission is insane. Deleting the app.

Let us start by saying that we love this game! We were over 17k power and passed over level 700. We got up to the silver level in PvP. So why the low stars? Because we had a malfunction in our phone and had to reset. We pushed the button to restore purchase, several times. We’ve spent a couple hundred on the hand to get the gold general and tank plus stars. We didnt get our purchase restored. We sent an email through customer service and havent gotten a response. Im irritated because we’ve never had an issue restoring purchases with our other games. We even got our husband playing the game. We just want our purchases restored then this would be a solid five star game for us!

Who puts ads every 60secs in a game. You used to have a great game and then you decided to sell your self at the expense of your players good job.

We play this game a lot, and love it. So much so we have it on our iPad and phone. Why does our phone app have daily challenges but our tablet game doesnt?
