One of the best game here, love it. Great job guys!

So, the game is a basic strategy game that blends turn-based mechanics with deck-building. Think of it as Gloomhaven-esque, but not nearly as complex either in combat or story. Regardless, its fun. Graphics – good enough. They are adequate. The big downside is that your characters rarely change with new equipment. Story – cheesy and predictable. However, unlike most stories in mobile games, we read this one. It was fun with a handful of decent one-liners and a narrative that (gasp) made sense. It didnt take itself too seriously but was rooted in fantasy. In other words, forgettable story but entertaining in its 30 second snippets. Gameplay – we mentioned the mechanics, which are fun in small doses. Theres also a low level PVP system and an attempt at guild building. The one big detracting is the you cant create your own character. An RPG with no character creation – tsk tsk. FTP or PTW – FTP with some commercial watching to gain gems. We dropped a couple bucks on the game as a donation but, honestly, it made no impact on our game. Download it. Play it. Watch some commercials so the developer makes a buck. And then delete after a week or two.

A deck of any size says can be used then when you are in a team it says max 150 and you cant edit the deck without losing cards. Why would we want to reduce a deck from 239 to 150???????? Your spawn rates on these matches are laughable. 15 enemies spawn that are level 13 while you can only max any character to level 15. Oh and why dont you tell everyone you are not even finished the game? Thats right the game stalls half way through saying to be continued . Who makes characters that max out at 15 when you have to fight triple the enemies that are 13? Its not about buying cards packs stop with the money grabs. Its impossible numbers. You all are baiting people into buying in game stuff and have no intention of finishing the game. 7 months published and nothing past level 15. Laughable.

Excellent mix of story and strategy!

Was a fun game through level 6. Now Im stuck and cant progress any further in the story. Seriously, 3 heroes vs 5-7 enemies (including a boss and a spawn point for them) is crazy and the enemy range units can hit us at twice the distance that our ranged heroes can. We cant even use melee heroes because the range ones just run away and hit us at a distance. Also, the card concept is awesome, but SO slow and aggravating. Waiting for the enemies to work their way through their turn is excruciating and having to click a card, have it blown up, and having to click it again (I guess to confirm?) is frustrating. We figured we made some rookie mistakes in the beginning with weapons and leveling up, but we cant reset our progress and try again. Seems like theres no good way to progress unless we dump a lot of money into the game.

Finally a game that gets the FF Tactics itch out of our system!

We really enjoy this game. We dont mind a little grinding and the story is fun to follow. We think if you like strategy rpgs then give this one a try.

Love turn based games and this one is great just started so far so good keep it comin yeeeaaaa.

The dialogue is fantastic it the usual . The play if good.

Game is good but no purchases work.

We love this game. Our phone recently updated and when we logged on our account was reset. We contacted support and they helped us retrieve our account very fast. This game doesnt force you to watch ads or constantly try to make you buy packaged in game and the buy options are very fairly priced. Im happy to spend a few dollars to support this project.

Just what do was looking for. Very fun and challenging game. In the beginning at least (lv 8) money is not needed.

Great story, simple but complex leveling system that makes it fun to keep playing. Some in game purchases but not needed to succeed so not a rip off like other games where inflation forces you to spend. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Do you like playing the same missions over and over? Well this is the game for you.

It has everything a good rpg has to have. You dont have to pay to win, friendly comunity, events, solo story line so long it will keep you occupied for months!

We liked this game a lot the first two weeks. The story telling was awesome the puzzles were fun and theres even humor in it. If we would of rated it then we would definitely give it 5 stars. Now Im at a point where we replay the same mission over and over again; which gets boring. And even though we’ve been playing for at least a month Im still weeks away from crafting a legendary ability or item. We mean Im all for grinding but this game take its to the next level. We have 7 heros with the main 3 at level 12 and liva at 11. But the thing is when you match up in pvp its not real time its all AI. And let us tell you a level 12 team can get sweeped by a level 9 or 10 team because they have mystic abilities, legendary gear and 2 or 3 extra characters. But the icing on the cake is they have banners that make the attacks have extreme disadvantage like revivals, discards and heals. So if you kills a character the whole enemy team heals basically 2 attacks worth. And critical hits for defenders seems more often then attackers. We dont know what the attackers have going for them other than maybe potions which are kinda bleh. Maybe its just a match making issues but the way things are now be prepared to lose a-lot of battles because your starter cards will almost always be vs end game epic ones. Still try it out for a while and see what we mean. Youll have fun for a minute we promise.

Its a great game, but it will sit on the server loading screen forever. Its very unreliable about when you are able to play. Sometimes it works great, sometimes its impossible.

Great game when it works. Servers are always slow, we havent been able to log in for 3 days and WiFi here is solid, disappointing.

Great game. We used to love it a lot. But all it does is freeze now. We cant even load the game anymore. The title screen just freezes.

It just kept freezing. No other apps have done this on our phone except this one. Not sure why.

No problems so far after 60 hours of play. Doesnt feel like p2w so far. Tactics matter. Matchups in pvp arena are reasonable. Quests are unique & dont feel repetitive. Well done.

This game is really fun but we dont know why there is a clan system in this game. Theres no context story wise for it to exist and yet it is integral to help grow your card collection. Really tired of clan systems in mobile games because the the clans almost always die out and your left stuck in an inactive guild. What is particularly frustrating about this games Implementation is you cant participate in events until youre a member of the guild. You start as a recruit but if all the leaders no longer play the game youre screwed and will never get to member status.

Honestly, its a solid game. One of the simplest, straightforward yet rewarding games we’ve ever played on iOS. We’ve probably left reviews on less than 3 apps ever, but felt this deserved one. Its definitely not a pay to win game, though we’ve thrown like $50 at it since we feel like the developers deserve it. We genuinely enjoy it, but then you hit the wall around level 8. Progression was relatively smooth til then, then it just becomes this painful, sluggish crawl of repeating the same looooooong battles over and over just for a tiny slither of experience. We’ve seen this in other games and the solution for those types is because you hit a pay wall. But in this one theres not even a way to pay to get past. You just gotta grind. We could rattle off a list of pros about it as well. Theres lots of them. This would be something we would play a very, very long time and toss a few bucks at it here and there, but the problem is theres no point because you wont get anywhere and money isnt necessary. You literally just gotta grind, which considering the length of battles compared to rewards, kind of ruins what is otherwise an amazing game and very well made.

Title of our review says it all. Any ads are optional to watch and dont need to pay to be competitive. Our only complaint is that the game cannot be completely muted. If you turn down all the sounds some background sfx still play (like water and attacks). Also need an undo button because Ill accidentally tap the screen and complete an action we did not want.

Its nice, but as with all free-to-play games, its geared to drive in-app-purchases more than it tries to deliver excellent gameplay. But thats the nature of the beast and Id rather have it ftp, than no game at all and fortunately there are no annoying popup Ads. Otherwise, a few minor issues: Id rather double-tap to confirm targets than long-press. Long-press is cumbersome and better suited for infrequent ui actions. We also wish the line-of-sight mechanic had a bit more leeway, seems like some positions should have los but targets are ineligible to be attacked. Overall, despite these minor issues, game offers some legitimate tactical RPG gameplay.

This game is what we have been looking for on the AppStore for a long while. It has a mix of deck building and turn based strategy combat. The main story is also interesting and makes you want to play. The old school type graphics makes you reminisce of RPGs you used to play and love as a kid. We cannot recommend this enough. P.S. All items can be crafted through in game resources. So if you dont want to pay for it you can still acquire powerful gear and cards and hold your own with other players in pvp.

Game is great, make this game popular! Its like multiplier FFT and hearthstone combined!

We started playing this game 4 months ago and have been playing for a little while every day. The design is clever because ads are entirely optional, but each time you watch one, you are given a unit of premium currency (which otherwise must be purchased). Because of this, watching an ad is a feel-good moment rather than a feel-bad like in many other games. Weekends have special events for clans – these keep things interesting, allowing for indirect cooperation. There is a Discord server, linked in-game that is active and a good resource. Clans recruit from it as well. Progression feels pretty good. Characters have passive skills (depending on level and renown), can wear a piece of equipment and a weapon (each of which give a passive benefit), and must rely on cards for all active skills except for basic movement and basic attack. So, its all about the cards. In the early game, card discovery is the main goal; build your deck by playing through the campaign. In mid game (est 3 months in?), you will try to completely fill out your collection of campaign-accessible cards and upgrade them (by destroying 2 copies) until you have 4 upgraded cards of each type (requiring 12 total). Craft equipment when you can if it will be useful. There are clan quests that require a clan to successfully complete for rewards. There are also 3 alternate play modes/challenges: 1. Raid (fight against an AI controlled opponent with enemy build chosen by another player; climb the ranking leaderboards) 2. Gauntlet (Endurance battle against an endless challenge in waves with rewards for killing bosses every 5 waves) 3. Legion quests (Especially challenging, limited time events for an exclusive shop currency) Late game seems to be about collecting the rarest cards and excelling in the alternate play modes (and new, difficult content). If you like steadily improving and building decks, you may find this game satisfying. We recommend the ($3?) purchase early so that every fight you get 2 cards instead of just 1.

Fun game. You will lose more than 50% of your battles, so winning 2 raids in a row is time consuming if not impossible. A lot of grind to get levels, and then a lot more dying and losing. We spent money to help, but it was a waste of money. Dont spend money, its cheaper to lose that way. Paying money and still losing a lot is frustrating and we dont wish that on anyone. This is a fun app as long as you dont spend anything.

The game constantly badgers the player to join a clan. We just want a solo player experience. Other than that it is fun enough. There is also some unnecessary swearing. It really doesnt add to the atmosphere and it makes the game unsuitable for younger kids.

Made a few purchases and now it keeps crashing at the server screen and even tried redownloading.

The game is made extra hard so you have to spend money. Edit: The developer responded with a decent response but we still think it is made to pay. The enemies are vastly stronger and have much better abilities while youre stuck with basic cards.

First off the game play is very repetitive. The story mode is very enjoyable but the game play just gets way to hard once you get like 7 missions in. We went on a 3 day grind trying to rack up resources to upgrade and be able to get out or in other words relocate the spot we were stuck on to the next one to be stuck at. And then the game forgets our account and theres no way to retrieve it. So we are very unhappy with the waste of time.

One of the rare few games on the app store that’s actually free to play and doesn’t limit gameplay at all if you don’t spend a penny. Great game!

Hidden gem of a game for those who would like a cross between Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics meets Magic: the Gathering. Ads are only required if you want to score in game currency. The premium features unlock additional content in game so it is not just about P2W. More people should play this game!

Lots of strategy and deck building, every character plays slightly differently.

Im not sure if Im doing this on our name or our wifes… But… Our gamer tag is PsychoVandal for everything. Im on our wifes name fir this review. Vandal being the key here. Our favorite game of all time growing up was Vandal Hearts. We have been wishing for a decent or better clone for quite some time now. This game does not have the growth system VH did, but the gameplay and story are very close. Im only 15% in and Im hooked. We would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a console game close to this if yall get enough love for this game.

How did we not know about this, absolutely give this a try if you like turn based rpgs. Wish id been playing since launch! It uses card mechanics that allow you to customize characters and teams, and frankly theres a lot to this. Each hero has multiple viable builds, and get better as you build around other team members. The key is to keep your deck small, with so many options its easy to let your deck grow massive and random. The random aspect really helps keep replay interesting and guilds offer more fun! It is a freemium game, but if youre willing to watch ads you can actually earn a fair amount each day, allowing you to save for purchases. A monthly package is another good option. All the powerful stuff can absolutely be built for free if youre patient, which is nice.

Its back to normal thanks for fixing love your game.

This game incredibly only has two devs and is one of the greatest games you havent started playing yet. They listen to their player base via discord and continue to work on any balancing issues that might come up, most recently fixing some of the loot rolls on chests acquired while farming. If you want a game that is great free and only more enjoyable, though not at all necessary, when paying for any of the extras; you would be in a difficult position to find one better than this. Hope you check it out, you might write your own review one day for it…

Incredible game. Just picked up Corso and so far we can say, best we’ve played in App Store and top ten of all games we’ve ever played. We know that sounds ridiculous, but thats how we feel. Maybe things will change, well see. 1) extremely reasonable prices for a gotcha. We feel like makers were abused by other gotcha themselves and came to this with that mindset. 2) dark gritty western style rpg elements WITH SWEARING (none of that cutesy pandering jrpg crap). That takes balls and a dedication to the vision for their world. 3) excellent mechanics. Each card and class has a purpose. Some are more niche, but a thoughtful player can take advantage to great benefit. 4) maps and enemies are varied and interesting. 5) the grind is quite reasonable compared with other gotchas. 6) a satisfying sense of consequence when upgrading cards and gear. 7) decent replay value with challenges and alternate story elements. The only complaint we have is that four character per battle feels more fun than three. Five would be too many. Otherwise standing o. Im a fan.

Is there an issue with the game? Cant open the game. Crashes. Doesnt even get there. Tried deleting and re installing. Restarting our iPhone. Still no luck Thanks for the message. Love the game.

We downloaded traitors empire on a whim, and it has become our favorite app game. The depth of the story, and game mechanics is surprising. The developers are friendly, approachable, and respond quickly to bugs and imbalance. The game is not pushy about in game buys, and while some have high in game value no content is gated by not spending money. The game has only gotten better since we downloaded it. If you like strategy rpgs absolutely give this one a try.

We do not say this lightly. We’ve been playing this game the better part of 3 days and we’re hooked. We’re not that far into it and we can already see the replay value in it. The graphics are hop notch. The storyline is even better and they are both topped by the game play. GOOD SOLID GAME!

We have tried to play this a few times on release, never really had any problems before with crashing games on our phone, its run many more demanding apps, but this one crashes almost every turn. Ill get a combat action something or other then resyncing game to black screen, then home screen. When we reopen it has our turn saved. But Im not gonna play through every turn with a crash. Im not sure why this game has to sync with anything, or why it has to connect to anywhere in order to process enemy turns. Not a programmer by any means, but just confused on the crashing.

No matter which orientation you hold your iPhone X at there are icons that are off screen due to the little area at the top of the iPhone X that overlaps the screen. Please optimize for the best devices.
