Great game for playing a spare 1 min or 7 hours. Perfect for on the go or at work. Looks great on iPhone and iPad alike. We got our wife playing it now too. Lots of options for deck building. 6 unique races with different strengths and weaknesses.
The game is easy then it just stops being fun after like 7 missions and online seems like it has people who have just to over powered cards and to be honest we just did it for the duplicater.

As a former Warmetal and former Tyrant player, we were happy to find a game that immersed us back into that world. This game does is for us with an easy to play mode on our phone. By far this is our favorite card game even after playing Hearthstone and Magic Duels.
Fun game, longevity has been proven, loyal fan base and massive community.
Add different packs like gold packs like every type of rarity u get in packs using gold and for event using the other resource to buy them.

Basic idea that to make speedy and fast TCG style duel was great, but most of stories are provided via some simple introduction text and very short conversations so it's hard to follow. PVP combat would be main thing, but we found too many unbalanced match opponents. Anyway, a card game so simple that auto battle is a nice idea, but salvaging / upgrading / fusing system is too complex to understand or too tedious to maintain well, due to unpolished UI. Oh, each cards have no flavor text either. Just name of the card, how long takes to battle ready after deployment, attack and defense, special ability, and not very coherent illustration sometimes changes with upgrade. Nice idea, but we're out of it.
We want to play this game so badly but it just keeps freezing in the loading screen!!! Fix this plz or this is remain a one star for us.
To us this game was great for the first couple of levels but after a while the only people we can face have overpowered cards that can only get bought from over priced packs.
Used to play it alot about 8 months ago came back today and we cant even get to play. The first loading screen wont load and we really want to play. If you want to attract new users you need to fix this.

We have played this game probably 4 or 5 months now and love it. We have built up our deck and done most of the quests. To those who say its too difficult to get anywhere- maybe if you put in more than 3 minutes of effort, you could get somewhere. Overall, great game. The devs get back quickly on glitches we report and questions we had (we think the longest we ever had to wait for a reply was like 2 days.). We do wish there was a way to get free warbonds (watch an add, get a warbond, something like that) and the ability to trade cards, even just among your guild would be great. 9/10 great game.
If you're coming into this game with the intent to not spend money, please turn your attention elsewhere. This game is fun for about a week or two if you plan on not spending money. Premium currency is expensive, and 95% of the cards that are actually good and playable need you to spend that currency. This version of Tyrant is highly flawed and we'd recommend playing a different one or a different game altogether.
They try to draw you in with familiar cards and similar gameplay but after a couple hours of playtime it's nothing like the old tyrant. They charge for everything. The old days of grinding through missions and faction wars is dead. Once you get stuck, the only way to get out is to cough up the big bucks. No more variety. It's not worth your time. Bring back the old ways.
So, Ive came back after a while! Remembered playing this game when we were younger. It was 100% pay to play the card where EXPENSIVE and OVERPOWERED on purpose to encourage the wallet spending spree. But now the micro-transactions are so much more agreeable. Cards are far far FAR more cheaper. They do boxes still but you can get ALL of them for hardly any war bonds now!! On top of that. You dont even need to spend money anymore! The Vanilla cards 90% of the time are better than the paid ones. Including the ones from events! :D we recommend this game again and to anyone who is looking to come back to it after so long.
By far one of the longest running games, Ive played for years yet we have no idea whos running the game or how its even functioning at this point obviously somebodys updating the game and making some sort of money off of it because cards are still being Day, which we are very happy to see. We wish you would receive a new update for 2024, but it seems as the developers have no interest in pushing this game in the future not really sure whats going on as of this day, Ive tried to reach out with no response from the company. Or congregate still a good game overall and is much better game than most that are on the App Store.
We only downloaded this game for the skin in the game called run but when we played this game it was really fun.
We really enjoy this game. We cant find anything else like it or better. Concept is basic you can play one to ten cards in a hand. Battle different opponents in the Arena or join a clan with weekly events for a chance to obtain better cards. Though it is a simple idea it takes strategy and craft to be good. Highly recommended.
Great card game, been playing for while now and battle seems to be getting harder since players leaving, we feel like its missing something to make it more fun like maybe less money needed to buy cards or and opportunity to gain bonds without having to buy them all the time. Hope this game keeps improving.
The game has gradually gotten better over time, unfortunately the player base has slowly gotten smaller. The last big update added late game missions with Warbond rewards in the thousands, and updates since have focused on rebalancing cards rather than just adding to the power creep. While forums may be down, the official Kongregate discord is still around for those looking for a community.
The current version, they made mistakes in some of the cards, their values are unbalanced in a factor of 10, cards that should have 15 go have 150 instead. This makes strategies non viable and ruins the enjoyment and strategies. Some examples would be fog machine, havoc, aegis. Its a great game, just needs some fine tuning.
We played this awhile back and deleted it. Yesterday we got it back with all our data… But something was wrong. Whenever we left the game, our data would be erased. To load our data, we have to Reinstall the game. We dont know it anyone else experienced this problem. Kongregate, If you still work on this game, FIX THE PROBLEM! We love this game and we want the experience we had back.
There's a lot to like about this game, but as others have stated, it takes a long time to get cards upgraded and fused to be powerful enough.
Declining over the years, and finally dead.
The only reason we downloaded this game at first was to get the duplicator in run 3 but we found this game kinda fun but heres where things take a turn.it said Im just supposed to beat mission 11 to get the duplicator and THATS exactly what we did but aparently we DIDNT get the duplicator or the badge which is why Im rating this two stars so the game is fun but we were here for the duplicator.
Ive tried to play the game recently but it doesnt even let us in anymore, we spent too much on this game for it to just stop working.
Because the other players went automatically we dont get why is people winning automatically.
We only played it to get the duplicator from run 3 which is your superior game.
Game has deleted our progress twice and Ive had to start over. Completely lost all progress and purchases.
This game has been dead for a while. Look at the version history, no new content in ~2 years. It seems they got halfway through a major meta shift, and apparently just gave up, the game is basically unfinished. The entire community around the game dried up long ago, even the forums on Kongregate havent seen a new player post in years. That happens, we get it. Games come and go. But Kongregate should be ashamed of themselves at this point. Theyre just recycling the same crappy content over and over, milking the game for money. The spend in this game is extremely high, one pack of good cards can be as much as $20. You could justify that if the devs were consistently putting out new, interesting, high-quality content and events. But how do you justify continuing to monetize a game at that level when youve completely abandoned it? What are players paying for? Probably just Kongregate execs vacation home. Its downright dishonest, they dont even have the dignity to disclose to players that the game isnt receiving any more updates. They havent even updated the game UI for the iPhone X, the notch cuts off part of the game screen. The iPhone 12 comes out next month… What a garbage way to run a game. We assume this is how they run all their games into the ground, stay away from Kongregate.
This game had it all when it started. Between strategic cards and deck building to getting new cards from the guild raids this game was perfect, was. When there were high powered cards everyone wanted to grab with upwards of 8-12 health now most of the cards people are throwing money away for have triple digits?? How is anyone supposed to keep up besides tossing out a grand per guild, per raid? Tyrant Unleashed has the popular name Wallets Unleashed and rightfully so. TL:DR Game was great, became greedy and because of that went steep downhill fast.
Great CCG, has let us playing for quite some time. Speed up and auto play options keep it from feeling too repetitive and the guild quests and events shake it up. We would love to see more new abilities or even new classes instead of this incessant trend of "pay for the new cards, they are just flat out better than everything you have" this wouldn't bother us if there were a way to get them free or even if they weren't so overpowered. We are a good paying customer but sometimes the new cards they realize just make us shake our head in sadness.
The latest update for the iPhone has caused this game to stop working. Otherwise we would give it a higher score. It's a pretty good game. Update: After a month of waiting it's still not fixed, we hope it is soon and we don't get kicked out of our clan.
Excellent design undermined by steep price. It will cost you around $60 to get quality of life recharge bars so that you can sleep eight hours and also participate in events. If you want full access, be ready to pony up hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars. There is constant power creep so if you dont keep paying you will get weaker.
If you intend to try the game out, dont play for long. Dont spend a dime. You will be beaten down mercilessly by the people dumping tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars into the game.
Although the game is crap due to p2w you even lack the most important feature a search bar where you can search for guilds.
We bought the pack for 24.99 and instead of getting the Game crashed and it still charged us, we can we please have the money back or the bullfrog pack please, also we bought a anniversary pack for 8.99, which also did not get in our game, but still charged us. We buff the 8.99 one again but we dont want to have to buy the bullfrog one again even though we already paid for it. Please fix this.
The top and best guilds have players employed by the developers. Those guilds are strictly P2W. They release new content and cards based on what works best for them and their network of guilds, and strictly best cards for the big spenders. If youre new to this game, you have no chance. Dont believe others who say new F2P has a chance. Those are alts of mains thats in top guilds, which means they can get carried during in-game events.
Ya dont play this game, its a complete waste of your time. Unless you pay a ton of money for expensive cards, youll never go anywhere.
This is KaiserARM of iDYN ( top guild in the game) we are also a former Diretide player (top guild ) this game is buggy and often felt unpolished. Dev does not care of their game. Cards are made by snobs MK and Horus. Employed by dev.
Played for a week and it has nice balance with cards that got good art work. Definite don't need money to do most mission or a lot of pvp but sure you can spend if you want to be better.
To be honest we just got this game to unlock the duplicator in run. We bet this game is a good game but we beat the second boss by just tapping cards and skip and only took us 5 minutes but don't take our review for granted ok.
Over the past 4 years this game has changed drastically…. From a basic turn based- spin off of your favorite sci-if card game to a pay to play overpowering endless circle of the same of the same type of wars and fights where there is no direction or notification from devs when stuff is happening or whats even happening… We can say this game is great! So much depth with little missed and only getting larger… The one sad thing that we truly dont understand is why you cannot see old dialogs and history from the story you can play!??? We mean we only get half of what was said all history is basically gone after being read once…. Ive played this game since it basically came out. And have been a member of Kongregate for even longer….than that… We wish theyd step up this beautiful game with all that monies they make off all the kids they prey on for better Units.. Lets put some more time into the guilds and award systems etc, Im sure many would be agreeable on these matters. The account transfer system is a PLUS!. Hope they make this game even more. It has huge potential.

We used to play this game a lot back when it was just called "Tyrant". We were a bit irate when we found out that Kong made it so you needed a membership to even play it. The reason we say this game is broken is because we've lately been trying to play this game but we can't because at a certain level the game says that it loses connection before we can finish the battle. We hit the "Reconnect" button, it loads the battle back up, then it loses connection again, to which the whole app just crashes.
