**Campaign
The campaign is split into 10 historical missions from the first engagements to the famous “Pickett’s charge”. Missions present different levels of complexity that will give you hours of gameplay.
**Unique Controls & Unit Self-Awareness
The game plays in real time, but you can pause at any time to plan your strategy and give orders to units. Drag simple movement arrows to command large forces as if you are drawing them on the tactical map. Units do not need micromanagement, able to act on their own: re-aligning, switching targets, withdrawing and forming battle lines without player input.
**Smart AI
The AI commanders are able to evaluate and gain tactical superiority in real time, reacting to your actions; fighting aggressively or defensively replicating actions of a competent human player. The game will provide the significant challenge on higher difficulty levels.
**Detailed Map of Gettysburg
We used satellite images and historical maps, recreating important locations, houses, ridges and hills that are depicted as accurately as possible within the game’s unique art style. If you are an American Civil War enthusiast, you will be happy to notice the amount of precision and information that the map provides. Not only will you be able to better understand the historical layout of the map, but also you will be able to use of each location and landmark in battle, thanks to the simulation of cover, concealment, terrain and high ground in the game.
**Advanced Line of Sight
Elevation and obstructions will affect unit visibility realistically. Units will use concealment and cover to survive artillery barrages, stage ambushes and more, but beware – the AI will attempt to do the same.
**Tactics matter
In Ultimate General: Gettysburg, you will realize that army units are not “machines” that blindly follow orders, but need to conserve strength and courage for decisive battle actions. Every basic tactical element that is expected from a strategy game is important for winning battles. Unite morale is affected by multiple factors including flank or rear attacks, casualties, volley shocks, artillery fire and fatigue.
**Historically Accurate Forces and Leaders
Ultimate General: Gettysburg includes the full order of battle for the Union Army of the Potomac and the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia. Command famous brigades like the Iron Brigade, Louisiana Tigers, 1st Vermont, Bucktail Brigade, Gibraltar Brigade, Excelsior Brigade and many more.
**Differences with the PC version
The game was redesigned from the ground up to provide good usability and playability on tablets. If you have played the game on the PC, the major change is in the campaign flow and in the user interface. The tactical combat and its features were tuned only slightly. You will be able to experience the same depth and challenge on iPad.

We love these style stat. Games like the old Sid myers civil war on p c was great this game reminds us of that and we wished youd do more please.
Ive played a significant number of acw games some of which you needed to be a West Point Graduate to play. This is a decent game for a quick fix when you want to play. The layout though not cgi is adequate and the play and functions are acceptable. We dont think the game would please the detail oriented player but for an average gamer who wants to dabble in the Civil War it will hold your interest.
Its an excellent game, we simply wish you would add the ability to configure custom battles in which you could select your brigades, or just port civil war.
For the love of everything holy, please make another.

Its good for one play through wish you could play customs battles like Sid meiers Gettysburg.
We really love this game and highly recommend it Buthelezi reason we write this is to ask for sandbox where you can decide how many troops are in regiment etc.
So fun we love ultimate general it is amazing the iron brigade is like iron everything is accurate the morale, cover, reload everything is great.
Fun but hard but better than any other war game Ive played.
We played through entirely with the Johnny Rebs and we enjoyed every minute of it. We kinda wished they carried the casualties from the previous engagements. We also want a game like this for the entire war. Or for engagements like Shiloh, Antietam,etc.
ALL OUT GREAT GAME HOPE THEY MAKE WW2 OR 17TH CENTURY WARFARE STYLE GAMES.

Im begging you add more missions we bought this game like 4 yours ago and we keep redownloading it after beating the game over and over we love this sm im begging. Even a dlc that cost money we would pay for.
This game led us to find this team of devs and we are now playing their newest game ultimate general American revolution we look back at this game to see how far they have come and think that this is what found us this dev team this is what gave us these games this is what funded years of game making we salute this fallen hero.
This game is so fun and it has good details and its the perfect game especially if you like history.

When we were a kid we had a civil war history book with illustrations of various battles. This game looks exactly as if those maps have come to life. We only wish there were more battles, even imaginary battles. Either way its a great game.
Cant we have more battles? This game is so much fun. Im thinking of buying a PC so we can play the war on it.
We played the game and we absolutely love it. One thing that would make this game better would be a sandbox mode where you can place however many troops you want on either side and see which side comes out on top.

This game and the pc version is in of the greatest civil war games out there definitely suggest no question asked.
We were readiNg the comments on this game before buying it. It was all positive, so we hopped on and played and now we cant stop playing the strategy is amazing you have to find the right balance of attacking and defending. Its hilarious how people complain in the comments the most we saw was how bad the units are and stuff lol you guys must be blind or something if you dont see all the stuff on the unit you click and you have to have incredible awareness so you dont lose morale from a charge. The funny part is people say that the units also run into the enemy we have not had this problem the only thing that does happen is they chase the enemy away which is good detail is saw. We hope you guys add more levels and maybe a online play that would be really fun.

As a Civil War enthusiast, we absolutely love this game! We would love to see more battles, other than Gettysburg! So many battles to choose from! Same exact gameplay, just different battlefields.
The game Ive been looking for years. We wish there were more missions and please have multiplayer.
We love this game because its kind of like when we were a kid and youd set up toy soldiers on the floor and take turns knocking them down. Whats cool about this is how it accurately pits you against the other side in a realistic landscape of Gettysburg. The thing Im most bummed about? That there arent more battles done the same way by this company.
Love it Played it to death Will buy more if you would be so kind as to sell us something we can win with either side in any scenario on hard Scored top 1% per Game Center, top 5s, top 10s we could probably do them blindfolded at this point.
The title says it all we are just writing this review to say we hope they make more games like this one well worth downloading! We love the game play but the battles are not very realistic they often have you retreating when you hold the high ground and have the numbers which makes no sense.

For WHAT THIS GAME IS, its S tier. Its a full fledged, dynamically complex, stylistically distinct, graphically impressive grand scale RTS game (that you can play on your phone). Im a huge fan of the PC original and its sequel, and Im satisfied with what has been accomplished here. There are occasional bugs and no dedicated save option. The game sort of decides when it will choose to save your game as it pleases. The only major issue Ive encountered is that the Union seems severely underpowered. We dont think its possible to beat their third level, even on the easiest mode. A shame.
Just needs multiplayer like on PC and it will be perfect maybe a second game with more missions.

When you guys were making a new version, this is the best of all civil war games ever invented..2022 is in need of a game overhaul.
Had this on our iPad when it first came out years ago now got it on the phone hours of enjoyment.
It wold be nice to have something to the affect of local multiplayer though other than that we hope to see more from you.
You guys are missing the boat by not releasing the full campaign. This is by far the best war game on here. Id pay money to get the entire game but you guys gave up years ago. Your loss.
This is what we want from a proper strategy game. Its beautifully rendered, accurate, well-made, and fun. We would be quite happy to play the entirety of the ACW in this format, especially if in campaign mode, a prior battles casualties counted towards the next time we saw those units again.

This game is very well done and super fun. The graphics and game play are amazing for a mobile game and we would highly recommend this game. It is also pretty challenging as well. And we honestly think there should be more games like this for mobile devices.

Dont over do your men , keep your general near brigades to boost morale . Place your men in cover on the map. Know when to charge and move out . Close artillery is brutal . Awesome game.
This is the best Civil War game you get to be a commander youre not able to zoom in all the way but its still a fun game by it it is worth the money.
For once, a mobile game that does exactly what it says on the cover. The campaigns are short, but actually highly enjoyable, because theyre not interrupted every two minutes by ads and microtransactions. The mechanics can be a little weird to someone who havent played Total War or Cossacks, but if youre familiar with how formations and morale work in those, youll be quite comfortable. Ive no doubt that the original PC version is much more impressive, but this is still Ultimate General. Worth the money in our opinion.
This game is so good the mechanics are good and a lot of games dont do what this one is and they should this game is a must.
We wish we could buy more scenarios.
