The storyline is fantastic as well as the concept and gameplay! More, please!

Im a huge fan of the story driven GameHouse games, and this one is no exception. We loved so many things about this game, Xi Nius story, a game featuring a POC as a lead, and the impeccable research that was done into Chinese history and culture. We loved the idea of an archeological dig being a gateway into the past, but would rather have had some story development of the three archeologists figuring out the story than the reliance on a a robot. We also wish the archeologists had gotten some sort of storyline and character development of their own. We were really hoping that we might have a modern day story that mirrored what was happening in the past. Alas, the modern characters were simply fillers, and the gameplay with the modern characters felt super repetitive and tedious. But our only real complaint with the game is that the ending felt so rushed for us. We are still not even sure we have a clear idea of what happened at the end. We kept expecting there to be one more chapter, but no… It just… Ended. And the cut scene at the end of the credits shed no light on the situation. What actually happened?!? We need closure!

One of the best GameHouse games since the Delicious era in our opinion! The story was fleshed out and well-researched. The only thing we didnt care for about the gameplay was having to play each dig site level multiple times to get all the treasures. It wasnt a huge deal to us though since it wasnt very time consuming to do it. The story was the best part of this, and we had to watch the ending 3 times just to make sure we were absorbing it correctly. This was truly an all-around great game.

Hope theres and second part love it.

We loved this game so much! Great job to everyone worked on it! We were so hooked in the story that we took the day off of work today just to finish it!! We loved everything about it from the details of the game to the explanations and details about the artifacts to everything. We just wished that the ending was more clear, yes we know that she died and the prince took care of her rice farm but it wouldve been even better to make it clear that she died because we were confused for the longest thinking theres one more level. Thank you developers and everyone that worked hard on this game!!

We liked the setting of this game and the relaxing gameplay that was occasionally challenging. We hope theres a sequel, if not a continuation of this story but at least with similar graphics and gameplay.

We love all of Gamehouse games and this game was just another one of their amazing games. We could not put our phone down for nothing lol. We enjoyed this game so much and cant wait for more to come out. We also love that they now make it free. Thank you all for your amazing work please keep these games coming. Awesome job!

We like this game is awesome from Steve Rosario.

As a Chinese American, this game was a pleasant surprise. We can tell a lot of research was put into this game and we recognized a lot of the references, such as the White Snake! The aesthetic reminds us of the agricultural land when traveling through Southern China as well as the old architecture at and surrounding Beijings Forbidden City. Gamehouse has come a long way in their portrayal of Asians and it really brightened our day, especially during this rough time for the world. Thank you for making a game that we could truly relate to our culture and our summer visits to China. EDIT: As others have said, this game is really glitchy. Sometimes the app crashes which is really annoying. But we still love Unsung Heroes. Its our favorite one among your games! Also we loved it when you guys ran the Instagram, please be active again!

Just now finding this game!! Please make more like this!! The story was so amazing and game play even more fun than the others.

This is by far one of the more interesting and fun game/stories we have played if this type. We would love to see more with the same type of theme!!

This is a good game. One of the reviews we read seems to be from a person with expectations that are not entirely reasonable. We think the game is just fine. The story is great. People seem to forget suspending their disbelief so they can enjoy a game based on fantasy.

We love this game and as a Chinese Im surprised how the whole story is nicely told with so many history tips! Its very educational for us. Definitely going to recommend this game to our friends! The scenes are beautiful and overall its a good story. Love the closure where Xi Niu is finally home and the prince gives up his responsibilities (watch until the end!!). The steps drawing Chinese characters in the Calligraphy game, however, are all wrong (not sure if thats deliberate so that its also difficult for Chinese players). Also, we think Xi Niu once called Li Shishi Crystal, but we dont understand why so. We do understand the concubine levels are kind of like game levels, but we really dont see how Xi Niu is a concubine to the king, as its not indicated that their relationship is romantic. We got some implications though when Nai Nai said Xi Niu is like Xi Shi (a woman known for her beauty and revenge the king who invaded her country by winning his heart as a concubine). We also encountered some gaming issues, and Im giving 4 instead of 5 mainly for that reason. The stories are sometimes depicted by drawings, and for half of the time we can only see a thin bar in the middle instead of the whole picture. Sometimes Ill also have to quit because the ads werent playing and the game got stuck. We also wish this game to have difficulty levels like Delicious Emily, as its sometimes too easy and ready. Overall, great game and it would be a 5 to us without those technical issues!

We hope you guys plan to make sequels – even if no Xi Niu.

The sound keeps going out. If we mute the ad before the next level all the sound in the game stops. We have to exit the game and re-enter to get the sound back. Its annoying because we use the sound to listen for Carl. The ads will play sound perfectly fine tho.

We are amazed at the insane amount of typos this game has. We are talking one character calling another character Crystal when she has a traditional Chinese name that is most definitely not Crystal and in the same breath calling said character Mom when she was most definitely not her mom. That is two of the many typos and misspellings we found. Who proofread this? Did they proofread this at all?

Have to say this game has taken us the longest to play out of all the gamehouse games, but it took a little bit to get used to the different format. Now that we are playing regularly we are definitely getting our moneys worth. Great job on this game!!!

We love the story line, graphics, game play just awesome!!!

Es juego muy entretenido e interesante que logra atraparte con la historia de los personajes.

We were pleasantly surprised by this game and absolutely loved how they respected the culture. We were sad when it ended; we hope there will be more additions in the future. Love love loved it !

The levels set in the past were so hard! The grass cutting minigame was impossible. It was difficult to find the mouse and annoying that almost every level relied upon you doing so just to get three stars. The levels set in the present were much easier and we enjoyed them a lot more, but they might have been a little bit too easy. We loved how you didnt have to find the mouse with that it was a treasure that was dug up. One of our biggest complaints is that the story ended very abruptly with no conclusion.

What is up with all the adds? We mean, we get needing ad revenue, but an ad before and after every single level? Especially for the ones paying the game house subscription, its a little crazy to be overwhelmed with so many ads. Other than that though, its a great game! Couple bugs here and there but still great.

Is anyone else have a glitch issue on the third part of the map, second round of levels in??? It keeps moving the level up on our iPad screen and then we cant click on the bookcase or anything in the level. Makes it to where we cant really play or pass that part. Annoying.

So there are some minor bugs, but we played it through and unlocked all achievements. The story is good, but the end feels unfinished. There are weird cuts and there is no resolution for the "present" storyline after solving the mystery of the mask. SPOILERS The last thing we see is Xi Niu in bed with the prince tending to her… We’re not sure how that is supposed to be satisfying. We guess she’s alive and the prince is with her for the moment… We don’t know. We also thought it was weird that Li Shishi attacked Xi Niu in the final scenes. That’s fine for a climax but it felt like there were a few scenes just missing for true resolution.

We love these games, & this one was so beautiful. The MUSIC was terrific. It was very buggy though; sometimes it would shut down before loading & frequently it stopped working when searching for treasure next to someone searching for coins.

As an African American woman we were so excited to FINALLY see more diversity in a Gamehouse game. And FINALLY a POC as the lead character! We loved the idea of an archeological dig to activate a story and its clear the creators did a ton of historical research, but this game left a bad taste in our mouth and we couldn’t/wouldnt finish it. We got over the historical character working in a rice field because it was history and she owned it, but leveling up to be a concubine in the palace and do laundry- was too much for us. We are aware of the historical definitions of courtesan and concubine. (The latter of which seems to have always had a definition of a woman who lives with a man and is not his wife while he has a wife.) And those aside, Im playing a game where women are doing laundry! We couldnt play after that; we felt like we were contributing to a narrative of subservient women and also the stereotype of Asian women doing laundry. (While we have enjoyed the games over the years, many of them play in the traditional female role space with little to no diversity.) This could have been an opportunity to have a female Indiana Jones. This game made us sad.

One of the side challenges in the levels is find all treasures! And Im supposed to find two. What is this talking about? Am we looking for hidden objects on our screen? Does it means the coins, the artifacts? How do we do this side challenge? There was no mention that we remember in the tutorials and we have never been able win it. Its always 0/2. We tried contacting support in the game but its glitched so Im here. We will update our rating when we get some help on this issue.

Really enjoyed the game but we felt like everything we did was to get such as weird ending. Is a second part coming or something? Because with all the time invested, the player didnt deserve to see that type of ending.

You have to keep pushing continue button.

This was a wonderful game as usual.. When is part two coming out? Keep doing great work.

We’ve been playing Game House games for years! Dont get us wrong. We LOVE Emily, Amber, Jackie and all the other characters. But it is SOO nice to see a representation of your own culture!! Ty Game House for basing this story on a Chinese girl in China!!! We can tell that you invested energy and time in getting it right! The music, drawings, stories, poems, cultures, we can tell that you guys want to get it right! So thank you for making an effort and introducing more cultures in your game! It is hard tho, like others said. In the first few levels we already tripped a little. So it is harder compared to other regular Delicious episodes. But we LOVE were playing both present and ancient times. How fun and creative!! Keep it up! We cant wait to see more of these kind games and representations!!

We love the game but we didnt understand wat happen at the end did she die did they fall inlove so many question that the game have left for a lot of us wish they explained a lil more.

After the 4th level we payed $4.99 and it doesnt work. We cant play anymore. We lost our money.

This game is another fun game, good work once again. Even the storyline is interesting. However, this game is having a lot of glitch issues. We’ve had to re-start levels and loose progress many times during playing due to glitches. May need a few more updates before we can rate this a full 5 stars.

We can play for about 30 min and then screen freezes. Not fun and very frustrating.

This game is boring. You have to keep playing the same levels over and over to get what you need to advance. The prices for the upgrades are ridiculous. You have to watch an ad to double the amount the coins and it still takes forever to reach the amount you need. This one is a big fail for us.

Just started game and already shutting off in middle please help…..

Great game, we loved the storyline, the characters, the gameplay! Between this one and Primrose Lake, Im definitely looking forward to sequels for both of these games!

For some reason the level where we have to get a great score in the mini game in the library our screen shrinks where we cant get the person to go to the bookshelf. Please help. Game is great.

We LOVE Gamehouse games! And we do like the story line and bouncing between today and the past. Its very easy though. The older Emily games have a more advanced option. We feel like the more recent games are getting to be too easy. We also love when we can request a new customer to make it more challenging like in other Gamehouse games. Just food for thought! Ill still buy them! We love them but wanted to give you our feed back!

We always enjoy playing GameHouse and this was no exception! We appreciate the diversity with this and a lot of historic background that revolves around Xi Niu’s story. Loved the level within the level concept too! However, we feel like the ending was incomplete… Unless it’s foreshadowing a sequel? Is it implied that Xi Niu survived and Chen left with her through the credits?? What about the girls and the article?? Did Li Shi get found out and punished for what happened to her?? Or maybe the game glitched and we just couldn’t see any of it??

Evertytime we watch a ad for something it freezes up our iPad other than that we think its a great game!

We were trying to get to the next section of the map and it doesnt even show it. So we cant play the second part. Very upset.

We usually enjoy Gamehouse games and dont get too worked up over the sometimes convoluted story lines but we just cant bring myself to spend $9.99 on a game that wants us to level up our skills as a concubine. We think the archaeology aspect is a lot of fun and we like the idea of finding artifacts and learning their story but we cant get behind the concubine thing. Also, we dont like having to replay the same level 3 or more times to earn all of the artifacts. We think Ill wait for the next Emily release.

We love the game. We love the story. Love the franchise as a whole. However the game has a few glitches. For example, on level 2 sometimes our swipe works or not so much. Am we the only one experiencing this?

Im in LOVE with the whole new concept! Being able to play levels inside of levels is amazing! We can honestly say that before playing this game, we’ve never even wanted to replay a level just to get a better score, so not even minding it and wanting to, to see what the treasure is going to be! Good job!

This is the best game that Gamehouse has made this far. The storyline is amazing and keeps you intrigued. We really want a sequel!

Love the story line of this game and the sub story gameplay is fun too, the only thing we find to be a challenge is leveling up Xi, we get it that she gets better the more you progress through the story but the option to be able to buy or level her up at your own pace or where you think she needs it would be a better option. But saying that we do love the challenge that this game brings. Keep it up Gamehouse! These kinds of games are why we keep coming back!
