Community Insight:
A great way to have an adventure to pass time. It makes you think about what to do to proceed. Great game. Going to get more like this in future.
Very Awesome game. Love it. Pristine.
We had tempered our expectations based on mixed reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an awesome game! The graphics, soundtrack and cutscenes are all top-notch. Although the map doesn't enable teleportation, the journal is extremely detailed and informative, containing both a written chronology and key visual clues. There is a mix of HOPs so it's not just word lists. And if you like mini games, you will love the THIRTY-SIX puzzles here! For us, this game has just the right amount of eerie supernatural detective fun! It also contains a wealth of knowledge about the history and mythology in Eastern Europe. The game features a number of creative and engaging extras, like the "real-life" video interviews at the end, to immerse you fully in the experience. Our only complaint is the length of gameplay, which wasn't helped by the absence of a bonus chapter. They probably should have put some of the time they spent working on extras into the main attraction. If the game has been longer, we definitely would've rated it a five. UPDATE: we saw this game was on sale and couldn't remember whether we had played it, so we downloaded it again. There is now a bonus chapter, so it has to be longer! That alone makes it a 5 for us, but we will come back and downgrade if the bonus disappoints.
It's a good game. It would be even better if the hint button was useable until the end of the game.
We wish the full version was free! But other than that the app is amazing.
It was fun. Not one of the better BFG's but enjoyed. Good for a rainy afternoon.
We really enjoyed this game. Great graphics, great mini-games, a lot of fun.
We liked this game a lot. There were no bugs, that we came across anyway, and the visuals were quite nice. Of course, we were saddened by the lack of collectibles and bonus chapter that we have been accustomed to. Regardless, we enjoyed it, and recommend it.
We liked the story as well as the hidden items and HOPs. Ive played about a dozen of these kind of games now, but this one seemed to be better suited for someone at our level (casual).
Definitely fun. Silly humor. The HO scenes were well designed although somewhat old school.
Good game. However, there is no sound even if our volume is on. Please fix.
Love this game. We like the puzzles and the story line. Paid $7 for it probably worth $5. We will see how long it takes to solve game.
We thought this was pretty good, but needs a transporting map. We liked the Extras…tour of Kisilova, etc.
Just getting started, but like this game so far.
Enjoyed the game, liked the character voices and the hidden object scenes. Would have liked the hidden objects to have been larger, as they were awfully small. Background music fit the theme. Hopefully, if there is a sequel it will be a longer game and have a extra bonus play. We did not consider this having a bonus at all. KdBoots.
The best thing about this game is its beautiful graphics. The rest is rather run of the mill. The hidden object scenes are okay, though not difficult. The games are too simple. There is a map, but it only shows your location and where there is something to do. No teleport. Lots of moving around, as usual. Little logic to the moves. The hint system works well, which is good because you'll need it. Update: 2018 This game came out 2 years ago, and hasnt been updated. Is it worth the $2.99? No. It should be $1.99. The dialogue cant be skipped; you cant teleport; you have to go through the book to get to the map, you cant do much of anything in the options, only two choices, and the hint takes too long to recharge., as well as all the previous observation. Too bad. We think we COULD have been an okay game.
Don't get this. It's fun in the first part, but when you find the carriage driver you have to pay to continue playing.
Poor graphics and difficult to accurately navigate scenes. The story is OK. Still better than most.
Ok game, but way too short. Even the bonus story was blah.
At first the hint button did not work. Deleted game and reinstalled. Changed player name and switched to hard mode. After playing the free preview, repurchased..for free. Works beautifully Hints available immediately. Maybe reg. And hard mode are loaded backwards? Game too short but we liked it.
Vampire Legends sounded wonderful, but the free trial has failed to deliver any fun! No teleporting map is a disappointment. We are heeding the warning about the dysfunctional Hint button and not purchasing this one. It seems less complex than most games, and seems glitchy in spots. The characters do not really move, but seem to cut from one still scene to the next. We are assuming that Vampire Legends is a first effort by some new software group, and perhaps they will improve. We would have expected some Hidden Collectibles or awards, but have not found any. Some puzzles, like the Vervain Elixir, will not let you begin until all items are in place. Even though you could not place the empty Vervain Elixir vial at the scene from your inventory, it mysteriously appears and fills itself. Nice, but a bit disconcerting to veteran gamers. We would definitely want a functioning Hint/Skip button to complete this tedious game. Skip it.
It's not horrible just not very engaging. Simple, very simple puzzles and just an ok story line. No transport map and just same old HOGs that are very predictable as to when they will pop up. The first "untangle the rope" puzzle was so simple and that did it, deleted! Sigh……..spoiled by the Blue Tea Games series of Dark Parables. Fantastic graphics, engaging stories, new form of HOGs and long, long gameplay. Please Blue Tea create more games for Big Fish, please. They need your help and so do we. And, where oh where is The Room 3.
Simplistic, no map (not needed) no collectables no mystery either. Tons of HO but objects are very small. Whole game is drawn small. Opening scene was a fat rat and that was the last time anything was drawn big enough to see easily.
Hoping for a good vampire game since we've yet to find one in this genre but yet another let down. Problems, map is useless. It's not interactive which is important to us. It does tell you where active objectives are though so that's nice. The hint button doesn't work at all after you buy the game. Worked fine in the trial but nothing onnce purchased. It's very short. We're almost finished after just 2.5 hours of play. Not BF quality. We're always anxiously waiting for their new releases and feel crushed when the game is sub par. Maybe you'll have better luck so try it out.
So difficult to move around in. No real map, so if you had to go ten steps back youd have to move each step individually. HOPs were ok, puzzles not so much. Certainly not worth what we paid for it.
Compared to other BigFish games, this one was way too short for the price. The number of levels are the same as other HO games, but each level only has like 3 places to visit and one HO game each. Additionally, there are some places where you have no choice but to use the hint button because the area requires an EXTREMELY precise tap. We play a lot of these games, and we were not a fan of this one.
It was good until after we paid, then the play time was over shortly after. Can believe we paid 4.99 for this.
We'd been waiting eagerly for a new game, and felt hopeful, after a long string of BF games that crash so much they are unplayable, to be playing a game that didn't seem to have this problem. However, we agree with most of the other reviews…the hint button only works occasionally, the story is dull and predictable, and the game is over pretty quickly. Since other games for this price typically have a bonus chapter, it was all the more disappointing that there isn't one. We gave this 2 stars because 1) it doesn't keep crashing, and 2) it's not awful, it just isn't entertaining.
We had hopes…it is hard to tell with short trials and that is what they want. This was just sloppy, rushed, and could have SO good. The voice overs just did not fit the country or style, the little shop keeper looked like a dork in a t-shirt that asks you to play games with him while you save the world? He would be the first person we would stuff in the open grave. The games were pretty sorry too. The graphics were beautiful but rather soft edged so some items are hard to see. We may just go back to kindle and books for the money we have wasted. THINK before you put it out and people will not only buy, but wait impatiently for the next in the series. This makes one want to only go with series with great stories/games/graphics and more. On the plus side the clouds sweeping over the moon were actually beautifully done. Really…they were.
Way too short and story somewhat lame.
The graphics are pretty. Unfortunately, that doesn't offset a useless map and the fact that the Hint button stops working. Playing on our iPad and we have to keep turning off the game and then turning it on again. The Hint works once or twice and then quits again. Not sure if we're going to finish the game. That would be the first time that we ever stop a game before we're finished.
The free trial wasn't fun or intriguing. The graphics are not very good. The voices and story line feel tired. It feels like a game from years ago…. Glad we didn't buy the full version.
Oh, and don't for get to bring your g.p.s. Because there is no map.(at least so far) The graphics are blah and the game play is choppy. The story is just plan silly like the guy sleeping on the stairs in the majors office. We always buy the games with tons of puzzles and mini games and so far we've seen one. Back to going thru our old games and finding some favorites to play this week. Oh well.
Not going to pay for this trash. It's so obvious that only one person is voicing all the characters and the graphics are horrible. Not worth a penny, including $4.99.
We were really enjoying this game, we purchased the full version, only to have it crash . We will try to delete the app and reinstall because we paid to play this! Its a shame we really am a fan of Big Fish games, but we know we wont get a refund so we feel like Ive been robbed! Probably wont purchase your games anymore.
65% off $2.99…..55% off $2.99…..you need a mathematician…..why the continuous false advertising.
Purchased game freezes. A real disappointment.
We haven't played the game enough to give a review. It literally asked us after 1 1/2 minutes. Most games give you at least 10 before they ask you to rate it. So unfortunately we can't give a good review because we're not sure if we like it or not. But will let you know when we're done.
Seems like an older game, very quirky. So annoyed with game play that we deleted without finishing trial.
Too quick, no bonus chapter, crashes. Awful.
Hardly anything to write home about this buggy, hassle infused piece of discounted crap game! We're not even going to grace this review with all that is displeasing about this thing. Big Fish seems to be going to new lows when it comes to quality for these high price "gems".
This game is not worth it. Hint button malfunctioned. Save your money. We should have.
Hokey story, bad graphics, terrible sound…we didn't even play the bonus …don't bother.
We play a bunch of Big Fish games. This was terrible. Shortest we've played yet, and no bonus chapter. No rhyme or reason to what you should tap on in a scene, just had to resort to random tapping everywhere. Multiple taps on the same place would eventually register. Was hoping it would settle into itself and get better, but no. Worst Big Fish game we'e played (out of 30 or so).
We purchased because the game seemed interesting, even though the demo was short. It was downhill from there. The game is super short. We don't know about the bonus game because we can't get past the fishing hut. The hint button freezes and no matter what we do, the game doesn't save. It's really not "playable" after that point.
Graphics in the HOGs are muddy. Map is not helpful as it does not transport, and is not well labeled. Story line is trite and overall this is not worth the money.
