Oh. Emm. Geee! Where has this game been hiding? Its sooo fun! Collins needs to be the main character in his own line of games. Please! Hes HILARIOUS! And the main female lead is voiced by the amazing Kendra Hoffman. She is SO good! We were dying when Collins threw a pie at an enemy and she said That was stupid. Whered you even get a pie from? The writing is off the charts. Even the little written notifications when we tap an area we’ve already been to is clever and sometimes funny. The music is delightful, the graphics and art work amazing, and the game play itself was perfect with no glitches. The one and ONLY thing that didnt work was that plus items in our tray of goodies did not animate letting us know we could act on it. But it didnt affect game play or our extreme joy while playing this game. The monstrous creatures were glorious, fascinating, and gorgeous! The hidden object puzzles were just the right amount of challenging and easy to skip if thats your thing (its our thing a lot of the time). In addition to the brilliant creation of Collins, there are some very unique and clever aspects to the game play. Like in the part where there was a rack of weapons, but we could use only one weapon at a time and had to experiment with each weapon until we picked the right one (which wasnt as hard as we just made it sound). So fun! EVERYONE who developed this game needs a billion dollar raise. From the Q&A team to the marketing team to the janitor who kept your offices clean! This is a 12 star game, and now that we’ve finished it, Im gonna turn right back around and play it again. Its that much fun for us! To all the artists, programmers, engineers, designers, actors and actresses who devoted their skill, professionalism, and untold hours to creating this game Thank you!!!!! BRAVO!

We love this game! We have all three and have played them several times. From start to finish this game is exciting, humorous and heart warming. You wont be disappointed.

Im glad we did. Ill admit we thought Mad Head was too quirky for us. Some games were too sci-fi/Steam punk-ish. Not a fan of HOAG where we have to put machinery together. We usually agree with some old school gamer reviews but not the negative one. We thought at first it might be a little janky & Id be clicking everywhere but we stuck it out & so glad we did. Yes Collins character is annoyingly smug, but thats the point! Mad Head are you still around? If so please give more fantasy w/o sci-fi a try. Anyone know of ones we might of missed or wrote off as too Sci-Fi? Im getting desperate for quality HOAGs (but admit we’ve found some older games/developers that we never wouldve given a try & found some gems) When it comes to this specific game.. Awesome interactive gameplay & rich characters/storytelling. Bravo.

The story was entertaining, the characters memorable. The puzzles were interesting and actually relevant to the story. Highly recommended. We enjoyed this game more than any we’ve played in a long time (except wanderlust 4)

We have okayed a zillion of these games and have never bothered to write a review before, but we enjoyed this so much we felt compelled to do so. The vibe of the game was super tongue in cheek, which we loved. We know others have said they found Collins annoying, but we found him hilarious. He reminded us of Kenneth Branaghs portrayal of Lockhart in Harry Potterpure ego but mostly harmless, and almost endearing in his absurdity. We were particularly amused by his ability to break the fourth wall. Seriously clever, and a level of intelligence and thoughtfulness unusual for this genre. The mechanics arent perfect; the inability to perform certain actions out of sequence or prior to triggering the dialogue was annoying, and there were a fee places where you had to click in a ludicrously specific spot. Overall, though, the writing outweighed these minor flawsand the reusable toolkit was brilliant! As another reviewer noted, its always irritating to have to find 17 pointy things throughout a game, so this innovation was hugely appreciated. The graphics were lovely as well. We were sad to finish this one and will certainly play again. The bonus chapter was a true bonus, with adorable lizards and a reasonable amount of plot. We would love to see more of Collins (10/10 would buy a Collins series if it were this funny and whimsical). Many thanks to the developers (and the writers especially)for this one!

Voice acting when available is good and graphics are clear. Missing explorer relative plot is a bit tired, though, and some optimization for the iPhone Pro Max would increase our star rating. The phones designtop holeobscures some hidden objects & explore screens, and the puzzle to replace out-of-place items was taxing to complete since the bottom pictures were off screen.

After Mad Head fixed the unlock problem, we finally was able to play. There was much to accomplish in this adventure. The graphics were beautiful and you were able to use some super powers. At times this game was actually hilarious. It was lengthy, ingenious and creative. We do wish that the strategy guide was not such a pain to access and use. All in all, it was a good game, but the lack of touchscreen sensitivity was somewhat annoying. Also the hint button is quite useless. When we were using inventory that should have worked but didnt, we second guessed myself. The hint button wont show you what needs to be utilized. At times we thought we wouldnt be able to figure out the solution to a problem, and we never resort to a strategy guide. The puzzles/ games were repetitive. Some of the tasks were extremely confusing, and as a rule we always know what to do. Also this developer uses way too many runes in the HO scenes and mini-games. We prefer the older games from Mad Head. They were more enjoyable and playable. This game had too much esoteric weird stuff, and it bored us after a while. In addition some of the collectibles were very hard to find due to the graphics being extremely intricate or else very dark. We just didnt love it. Our rating will remain at 3 stars.

But we paid to unlock it and it will not unlock. It just keep going over and over asking for money and then says we already bought so would we like to d/l it again for free. If we say yes, it goes through the same routine again. Probably a very good game.

On the mysterious island the minigame when you are being told the story of your mothers arrival has a split screen section on the lower left where you are to cut something with the knife. The hit box for the knife to interact with the object isnt there. Ipad easy mode.

Enjoy finding the hidden pictures.

We enjoyed the main game very much: Interesting puzzles, great storyline, beautiful scenes, and HOPs with a twist. The only reason 4 stars and not 5 is that sometimes putting an item into a scene doesnt take; we guess it has to be in a particular spot for the game to connect the two. Frustrating. And the bonus game has a bug: you cant scroll through the items menu as the arrows are missing. Would love to play but if we cant access everything theres no point. But overall, very enjoyable.

We paid for the full game and was charged FORTY SEVEN DOLLARS? Are you kidding us? This is theft! We want our money back NOW.

When we pay a FULL price for a game, we DONT want to see any ads: it means- no ads "on sale now"; no ads "even more games in a store" the only screen we want to see is Resume game/Play game! You are blacklisted.

Such cheeky fun. Hoping this is the first of several in the Wanderlust title.

Can you make the a treasure of king Solomon This brings back games of old!!! Make more please youll get your money and support.

… Practically perfect in every way!

No glitches, funny dialogue, we definitely recommend buying this! :)

Such a nice surprise. We really enjoyed this game it had all the bells and whistles and the map wasnt in the menu we hate haven to open up menu to get do the map. That being said the game had a swashbuckled theme witch we like. Nice length to it. Mad head games always delivers.

Have you ever dreamt about that trip of a lifetime, to a far-reaching place away from the hustle and bustle of civilization? Well, put on your hiking boots, trousers, raincoat, and sun hat! Opportunity has just come knocking. This is a fabulous effort by one of the most imaginative developers of this genre; we feel immersed within this action-packed, fast-paced adventure, which is enhanced by excellent storytelling, stunning environmental depictions, and intriguing puzzles. You play an intrepid young woman who embarks on a ship and sets sail on the unforgiving, tumultuous high seas in search of her missing mother whose last communication signaled her discovery of the secret City of Mist. As you trek through unchartered territories, you are subjected to variable conditions that test your mental and physical agility. You will traverse through densely thick, lush jungles; fend off antagonistic, colossal-sized stone monsters; disable treacherous traps set within ancient ruins of past civilizations; and put up with the belligerent antics of the eccentric Mr. Collins. The characters personalities are developed enough to enrich the storyline. The humorous dialogue of Mr. Collins provides entertainment, with his snarky jabs that stretch your patience. We love the idea of the handy-dandy toolkit, which smartly confines your assorted, reusable tools in one convenient place, rather than them hogging up space on the inventory bar. The adventure portion of gameplay stays interesting by effecting dramatic and exciting tasks, such as using whimsical technology to hide or reveal the entrance to the majestic City. However, even though the HOSs are artistically designed to suit the storyline, they are lackluster and devoid of stimulating interactions. They mainly comprise the story-driven types and traditional word lists. Thankfully, if youre a puzzle-lover like us, there are plenty of thematic, creatively executed puzzles to offset the dearth of innovative HOSs. We love the map puzzle in which you move and rotate triangles to place them within the coordinates. We did not encounter any glitches; transition was seamless. In summation, we feel that this could have been an off-the-charts game if it werent for the mundane HOSs. However, the other components elevated the game well above a four-star rating. We also appreciate the half-price discount. That said, we rate this game a well-deserved five stars.

Its been a HOPA desert here since big fish stopped making these type of games. We LOVE Mad Head games and feel like its Xmas anytime they release a new HOPA game to the apple play store. Keep them coming!!!!!!

This developer is quite different and we like it. Scenes, games, and goals keep you going. Fun and original.

This was like a game with the clumsy cousin of The Dred Pirate Wesley. It is whimsical, funny, each scene is beautiful and the puzzles were nice little twists or new ones. It was a lovely way to spend some time NOT thinking about anything other this little pirate adventure. Thank you all! We loved this. We hope there will be some sequels. You really do need to throw these characters into another adventure together… Especially your sorceress. Give her some more time.

Good game, great story, graphics were awesome… Love, love love the tool kit so we dont have to find 12 knives, 8 pliers, etc.. When we just used one… Needs a little more direction on where to go and what to do… The plus signs on items are barely visible and you get stuck… Also several times there was an item but you couldnt get or use until you did something else that wasnt obvious… But overall great game we loved the little jokes throughout and the price PHENOMENAL!!!!! Kudos!!!

While we did not experience any glitches in this game, we wish to address an annoying occurrence which, in our opinion, prevents it getting a higher rating. There was consistent touch problem and several occasions where an action was blocked by text dialogue. Otherwise, this is a unique and humorous pirate themed game, which will delight many. Our actual rating would be 3-1/2 due to the cumbersome mechanics of game play.
