On our iPhone XS IOS 15.5, wont let us connect to the store to buy anything. So app is kinda pointless.

We know we have an older iPad, but War Room 2 was working on it until this latest update. Please fix this. We can still use it on our iPhone at least. We’ll need to print out the cards again.

This app is just lousy. Unit cards and info are free on the Privateer Press website, why do we have to buy them in this app? We also cant select our army theme which is a real pain. The app also doesnt appear to have been updated since 2017. Do yourself a favor and skip this.

We spent a significant amount of money on digital cards for Warroom. There is no reason the cards shouldnt have transferred. Since this app appears to be dead, Im really disappointed in Privateer Press here. We cant even access the cards on the original Warroom app. Very unprofessional behavior.

The most recent rules update (convergence) cause our app to crash. We have had to reinstall it twice. We cannot download the rules pdf nor am we able to upload/download our lists. Update: since our last review (4 weeks) we’ve had to reinstall war room 4 times due "irrevocable database" issues. We are quite frankly getting sick of it.

This has been a great app, but now it wont work on our phone. It just crashes on boot up.

The app sorta works on iPhone 11. Some buttons like the back arrows are hard to tap. Units fall outside of the boarders.

After the last update it crashes anytime we try to access the pdf. There are other small issues too, but this is a huge problem.

Latest update is very bad for UI. Font sizes way too big and buttons are cutoff Please revert or fix.

Wile there is always room for improvement, this is by far the best wargaming app in existence. PP build an excellent tool that makes building list and playing the game a much more easy and fun experience. Other wargames should take notes.

Privateer Press should have expanded on the fan-made iBodger app. It was a good start. This app is not useable unless you pay into it.

This app has fantastic and frankly irreplaceable functionality but as a paying customer we demand the up to keep up with technology! :) Current list of issues (and we are not even using the app more than a few minutes): 1) In iPhone 11 pro max corner buttons are half hidden by the curved display. If you set the button size to minimum you actually cant press these buttons at all 2) In iPhone 11 pro max swipe up bar interferes with the ui. For instance when a war caster card is opened the swipe up button covers the digits for the war jacks size – a very important characteristic for the warcaster.

We assumed this app was for players who need a quick reference to cards or rules for Warmachine. You have to PAY for almost everything, we thought at least our bottle box cards would be available, but nope. Whats confusing is you can go online and download all the PDF cards, so why charge for this one?

The rules for fractions are free, however in this app it costs $10.

We have been using War Room since the first version came out for MkII. The app is solid and useful.

This is such a great resource for new players, yeah you do have to pay for the factions but, you would have to do that anyways with faction decks. But we love this app thank you PP.

Updates app went to go purchase infernals but says its already purchased. Go to look at the cards and they are locked says to buy. Go back to the store and still says purchased already. Never made the purchase. Would would think with all the money grabbing you do, you would be able to get this right the first time. Send bug complaint to the email. Now we wait lol.

We’ve used since it came out and never had a single issue.

We have enjoyed the app a great deal but recently when we went to purchase a new deck, the store will not open. It just keeps attempting to reconnect. We have an iPhone 6d with the preset updates and we have also deleted and uploaded the app two times to no avail. Help!

Companion apps for board/war games have been a slowly growing trend over the last couple years and, in theory, theyre a truly essential thing to have. Forget memorizing stats and throw out notebooks filled with army lists, rules, and other scribbles – its all digital now and easily accessed and viewed, getting you into the fun faster and easier… Well, thats what this app COULD have been. However, Privateer Press – like Games Workshop – has decided to take the nickel and dime path. Sure, the app is free as is the stat cards for starter box models, but if you want to have access to the stat cards for anything else you better be willing to cough up $9 a faction. Which means having the cards for all factions of Warmachine will cost you $45… And another $45 if youre into Hordes as well. Itd be nice if actually purchasing a model box gave you a code to unlock that unit in the app but no, PP wants that extra money on top of the money spent to actually buy their physical products.

App is nearly unusable on the iPhone XS max. Buttons are cut off in the corners of the screen in portrait and landscape mode. The text is also very small and hard to read on the new phone. The app is still amazing and we love it, it just needs some resolution changes to accommodate the new phones.

Existing account: Login failed. Since we copy and paste, impossible unless the developer invalidated existing logins. Reset password… Sent successfully. Login failed. Until they find a way to transfer existing account info… Not to mention all the $ previously spent, this app is unusable. 0 stars but the lowest is 1.

No, Im not buying the whole set again.

Works great on iPads and lets you track enemies health and everything you opponent has if they use the app as well. Great for learning when your fighting other factions. Its also great for reading your own faction and learning what your capable of doing!

We’ve been playing WM for a while and we lost our cards, so we figured we download this app so that we can find the cards of our warjacks and casters so we can write them down on paper, (only option we really have) so we download the app and come to find out you have to purchase factions or specific cards just to have the info….. Very disappointed in this app. Not what we bought it was.

Customer since WareRoom1. With the dynamic rules updates, WarRoom is more relevant than ever. Quick bug resolution and response to customer feedback! Great app!

Purchased access and now we cannot load company of iron resources. Would be deserving of a higher rating once that is fixed.

It’s currently the only way to get updated stats of every faction, and at $80+ dollars for that, its price is ridiculous. On top of that, it murders your battery even after reducing it to 15 fps. Also, it’s super buggy. We’ve yet to play an online game that wasn’t showing us wrong unit information 5 minutes into the game. Did we mention it’s a memory hog? Switching to almost any other app on our phone causes War Room to restart upon returning.

Clearly no one who worked on this knows a thing about usability. This app is a shining example of what happens when you don’t test your app prior to handing it over to the masses. Menus have no header navigation or labeling, everything looks the same, and the same icons are used repeatedly but provide different functions. Pro tip- if you need massive walls of text to explain your app, you should probably rethink your design. Stick with the cards.

The Hordes rule book suggested this app, so we downloaded it. We tried to build a list only to realize you have to buy the faction deck for the army you’re building. There’s no way to add cards of units you physically own, which seems to be their way of forcing you to buy digital decks to use cards you already own in order to pump more money out of you. Not having access to the cards you need to build a list in the app makes the app entirely useless. Maybe one day PP will get smart and add in a digital code in the miniature that unlocks the card for you. Beyond all that the app itself isn’t very easy to navigate and we constantly find myself getting turned around or needing to recheck the tutorial.

Despite updates indicating fixes, the trollblood command content seems to be missing from app still.

Every time we leave the app, for any reason, it has to reload from scratch. This is extremely troublesome if you’re trying to play a game and keep track of damage using the app. It crashes half the time we try to load the rules. We sent in a bug report, and we got a canned response offering us a new account, rather than acknowledging the instability of the programming. So, if you’re looking to read models’ cards, it works fine. For all other uses, you’re better off sticking to dead tree format.

Not really sure why people dislike this app! The in game play is WAY better! Thanks!

The pdf of the rule book causes the app to crash if you reference the rules so many times.

The want you to repurchase decks that you already owned in the first app. The only thing you get for previously owning the deck is a whole $2 discount….. Lol…. Don’t waste your money.

War Room’s first edition left something to be desired, though we never really suffered for it. The old version served us just fine. War Room II is everything we liked about the War Room we knew and loved, but with MORE! :D we seriously don’t even know what people have to complain about any more. Everything desired of WR1, including every feature of iBodger, is now baked into WR2. We look forward to all the auto-updates and erratas with 0-effort. :3.

This is a wonderful app. It has issues on our iPad mini but still worth it.

Tinker house games has done a great job on this updated app for release of the new mark 3 Warmachine / Hordes release. We were a regular user for the original war room that got off to a rocky start. This one is much better with its expensive UI and new features, like the collection manager and the new online play. There where a couple bugs but Tinker House has been super responsive and gotten most issues fixed before any really caught on it was an issue.

So we think to myself, if we are going to buy army cards all over again the this better be one f’ing awesome update. We had a serious chub for the original War Room. The initial release of 2 would not even work on our old iPad but since the most recent patch things are looking good. We particularly like being able to filter lists based on models we own or have painted. Being able to immediately inform the code minions of bugs is solid. Keep updating please for more stars and money!

We load up the app the first time and it crashes before we can even get into any of the menus. They fixed that in this update and we can’t even log into our account, and to top off, the link that support sends us doesn’t even work. Rushed and poorly executed, wait about four months to get if you really want this app.

It’s bigger than I’d like, but we hear that may be changing in a coming update. It runs perfectly on our iPhone and iPad. No issues running games on either. Some bugs still need to be smashed but Tinkerhouse is on it.

This app made by tinker house games is great. It is large about 100 mb. A large app but know more then most games. A lot of new feature over the previous warroom app. Being that it just launched yesterday there are a few issues but not many compare to most app after launch. Tinker house is always quick to fix the issues. It have all you need for your MK III goodness.

This is a good upgrade from the previous version of War Room. The cards are easy to reference and the app runs smoothly while in the midst of a game. However, the app is large and requires heavy resources. We have heard multiple people with iPad 2’s having issues running the application. It is hard when someone has to start confronting the obsolescence nice of their tech. Tinker house and PP could’ve helped soften the blow.

I’d love to download the app and give it a proper review but the file is much to large for us to consider giving space on our phone.

Compared to the original War Room, this is leaps and bounds better. Not that it really means anything given how poor it was, but it’s still worth noting. On the plus side, the fonts and images aren’t badly pixelated any longer (which really was pathetic on an app that was still current as of a week ago…), navigation is finally smooth on a 6Splus, and loading times aren’t mind bogglingly long any longer. Oh and their servers didn’t crash at launch… You’d never expect any of these things to be a problem on a glorified image viewer, but they were until this new version. It’s like when little Timmy finally went potty by himself, to the rest of the world it is nothing, but it’s a huge step for little Timmy. On the minus side the pdf viewer is incredibly slow (yes, still on a 6Splus…), whether to navigate it, zoom, or use the search function; swiping on a card occasionally doesn’t work and/or is misinterpreted as a tap to open the lexicon; the interface is far from intuitive, you shouldn’t have to go through a sequence of 6 taps (couldn’t do in less) to just get to the one card you wanna see; and a brief look at the forums show a number of other bugs we have yet to experience. They have almost 4 years worth of feedback for the original War Room, and this new version has been in beta for almost 8 months. Given that there’s nothing even remotely complex about what this app does and you have to spend a minimum of $7 to be able to do anything with it, it should be in a much better shape than it currently is.

Worthless software. We’re able to log in on war room 1 and on the war room website but war room 2 tells us our username or password is incorrect. Changing our password on the war room website doesn’t effect the behavior and clicking the forgot password link doesn’t net a reset email.

We downloaded this app for both our iPad and iPhone. After buying the Ultimate bundle using our iPhone we proceeded to try downloading it for our iPad. For some reason it would not load the ultimate bundle to our iPad. So we tried to force it to recognize that we have already purchased it but instead it removed additional $59.99 from our account. We have yet to receive any comment from privateer press about this issue.

This app stays crashing at the downloading PDFs file section, great way to start Mk3.
