We love this game so much but every time we search up the second one it doesnt show up :(.
Its a romance story through and through and if youve played any other dating sims/visual novels focused on romance you know what youre getting into, but we found it refreshing in comparison to the ones we had grown used to partially because youre able to romance the characters as men or women, as a man or woman. We finished our first run in three sittings and was excited to keep going the entire time, it was entertaining as far as romance IF goes, and we were surprised to find some decent prose in there at certain points too. It was never a struggle to read. A good several hours worth of fun thats worth the price, in our opinion. Beware losing your game progress! Its not a major gripe because of how easily remedied it is, but if youre planning on taking a break make sure to back out of the game text and back to the main menu or you might come back to find that the games kicked you back to the beginning. Theres no real way to manage your saves so be mindful of that, and read through carefully because there also isnt any way to re-read old dialogue.
Please make a million more. Loved the story the characters the variety of choices. We have been gong blind for years and games have always been our favorite. We're over the moon we can play this using screen readers. Absolute thank you for creating and sharing this.

This is possibly one of the best games Ive ever played. Its so inclusive and we can tell so much went into it! Our friend recommended it to us and Im so happy we listened to their advice to play it. We will be downloading book two asap.
Our best friend recommended this one, and at first we were skeptical. We liked vampire games/stories in the past, but felt as if we had outgrown them. Well, we were a little wrong; this was amazing! The story is fun and the characters crack us up with tears of joy. You will definitely enjoy reading this and getting immersed in the challenges of this text adventure styled game. There are so many great options for choice/dialogue and options if your own characters flares. You wont be disappointed, so purchase the game and dive into this fantastic adventure.

We heard about this from someone we follow on Patreon, and we downloaded it yesterday to see what the buzz was about. Oh our God. We havent been able to put it down. First, vampires are totally our jam. Second, Nate. Just…Nate. Great story, great action, just fabulous! We cant wait for more.
The story and the characters are great! The way you can directly interact with the story, building mcs personality by the choices you make, is super unique and enjoyable. We felt like the book was too short!! We just wanted more.

We really enjoyed it. Ive played other COG but this one is it. We loved how our choices did matter but not to the point where you start to feel limited with your options. The story line is pretty intriguing. Not a lot of people can pull off writing such cliches trope yet make it so interesting. The characters are so love able and hilarious that the replay value is through the roofs. What more can you ask from an amazing COG? The second book is just as amazing we just recently read it today. We cant wait for the third book.
This is a really good novel !! Im so excited for book 2 to come out today!!! This interactive novel really allows you to shape your character to however the player wishes and offers a variety of love interest to choose from and doesnt limit you to gender. This novel is written so well we cant believe it isnt a published book, not all published books are as well written and developed as this novel is. The story is rich and much deeper than you think, once youve started reading you wont be able to leave the Wayhaven world behind.
We have nothing else to say besides the fact that we really love this game and its so well written with lovable characters wow this is our life now.
Book 1 of a series, this is great for people tired of the typical romance novel that lack diversity. The author gives great background into a new, well thought out world. You can tell this is a product of love and time well spent. Critics say that it doesnt focus on romance enough, but this isnt a typically say flirt line then the character loves you instantly game. Its full bodied and feels like a award winning novel, with the bonus of a inclusive character options. Love it and will pay top dollar for the next books.
It has a really good build up in the story and all of your choices matter within the story, even little things. We are very excited for the next book.
Im very very very picky when it comes to books. So this five star review is a heck ton coming from us. Does it have its flaws? Of course, as does every other book in the history of ever. But it has such a big heart and so much passion and love put into it that its impossible not to love it. A really major perk is being able to pick your gender. You can be referred to as a woman, man, or a non-binary/third gender individual. But no matter what you identify as, all clothing options will be available to you. Youre a guy that wants to wear a pencil skirt? Do it! A non-binary peep that wants to wear a leather jacket and jeans? Own it! If you have any doubts, just get it. Youll enjoy it, we promise. By the way Felix owns our heart.

We love interactive fictions, and have played quite a few. Wayhaven One, however, stands apart from the rest. The story is so compelling and immersive, we immediately started it again once we finished it and Ive come back several times since. We cant recommend this novel enough, and we wait with baited breath for the next installment.

Honestly this is becoming our new favorite genre of game. So fun, incredible story, and twists and turns that make replaying it enjoyable.
Ive read a lot of interactive fiction. This series is easily the best. Choices matter: relationships crumble or prosper, characters die or live, the ending is either uplifting or haunting. Truly the best book to read again and again.
Loved the story and characters. Plenty of Repayable content and Im dying to know where the story goes next.
Worth the money. Straight up. Other people give Wayhaven lower ratings due to being romanced focus. Or saying that the characters are too simple. Theyre really not. The other characters appear a certain way, but eventually as you get to know certain ones you discover other sides to their personalities. Furthermore, idk who said this game is romanced focused because it isnt. You can always choose to not romance anyone. Thats an actual choice where it will ask you if you want to romance anyone towards the ending. Just answer no. In addition, while this game may not be hardcore enough for some people who appreciate more stat management, its got a good story with manageable stats so as youre not too stressed about stats and not bored with the story. We would recommend this book to anyone. Second book also happens to be coming out soon, with the demo already posted by the author. Overall great story and Im excited for more. Signing off. 9/21/18.
We want wayhaven two! We like love stories and this is perfect.
Ive played many of these kinds of games and this one may well be our favorite. Very well written with excellent story telling. Intriguing and enjoyable cast. Any spelling and grammar issues were very minor and few and far between. Often times the writers of these stories have an obvious weakness, be it grammatical errors, believability, rationality, pacing, or flat characters that are distracting and can even render some stories unreadable. Everything was beautifully done. Bravo.

We have just about every choice book out there but this one is our top favorites. Good writing, interesting characters, and a surprising amount of narrative choice. Plus 5 vampires to choose from lol, and not its not twilight. Its actually good.
We really enjoyed this game! The storyline is interesting and the characters are so fun to interact with! We do kinda wish that the decisions you make have more of an influence on you and what you can do later, but thats not really that big a deal and aside from that we didnt really find anything wrong with the game.
Spectacular book! The characters are so engagingly real, the plot is so complimentary, and the pure depth of the choices (and the length of the book!) make for major responsibility. We're eagerly waiting for book two- take our money! ;).
This book was amazing! We stayed up all night reading it, and wouldve stayed up even later to read the second one (if it was out yet) The general plot is interesting (if a little predictable at times) and the characters are nicely fleshed out. Out of the whole experience, we saw one typo, and it was just a missing space. The romance in this game actually makes sense for once. Usually, you have some cheesy lines in other COGs, and you get the girl. Pretty basic stuff. In this game, we romanced Nat by AVOIDING all those cheesy/ cocky lines. Its a much more realistic progression than other COGs. We actually thought about decisions thinking this would be coming on too strong, Ill do this instead. Usually, the most obviously flirtatious option is the best one. But in this case, it was written very realistically, which made it much more enjoyable. The time frame in which you romance is also realistic, taking the course of the entire game, building trust and understanding as you progress naturally. We also liked the multiple perspective writing style. Ive never seen it in a COG before, and it actually works really well, especially when you see how your romance target is reacting to the protagonists actions. Its good feedback to see if you picked the right thing, and adds some extra depth to the romance plot. Experiencing the other characters thoughts adds a lot to them, making them seem much more real. Overall, we would definitely say that this is our favorite COG. The writing and storytelling from Wayhaven is definitely the best out of the COGs. We wish all COG games had as fleshed our characters as this. The only issue we have with the game is that the plot was a little bit predictable at times. It was still fun to read though, as we love the characters. Looking forward to the next installment.
So, uh…whens the next installment coming? In all seriousness, probably the best story Ive read in a while. We LOVED having to read the other characters points of view, and we were really invested in the world these characters lived in. Ive only played through the game once so far, but we can happily go back and replay over and over and still have just as much fun as our first go. The relationships you build with these characters can evolve realistically over time, and its nice seeing genuine connections. Im excited to see what happens next. Please hurry and send the next book our way. 10/10.
Of all the fantasy adventure games sold by Hosted Games, this is maybe the one where the romance angle was not sacrificed. In other games, the romance is barely developed or noticeable, whereas with Wayhaven you get an equal mix of action & romance. Please release Book 2 soon! Adam is our favorite and we would love it if our character were to share lots of BDSM scenes with him in the next book.
This story is amazing and worth the time. Great choices and awesome diversity. We will will most definitely be looking forward to book two.
We love the storyline, characters, customization, and the real detail and follow through on the choices you make. We've followed the progress of this game for a long time and finally being able to play it is really exciting. We very much look forward to the next book.
Ive purchased 13 COGs in total and out of all of them this is our favorite. We loved getting to know all of the characters and was drawn to all of their unique history. We would have to say our biggest complaint is having to wait for the next game! Ive never been so addicted to a COG like this before! We have replayed this game 6 times and theres always something new we find out! What makes this COG so unique from those in the same genre is that this one has replay value. Generally, games of this nature are boring after the first play-through, but not this one! Ive been playing for hours and find ourselves still enjoying the game and becoming totally immersed in the story all over again. Id say our favorite thing about this game is the romance. Its not a rushed experience. Your character is slowly building trust with your romantic partner. The main character has four romantic pursuits to choose from. All of the characters are unique and have something special to offer the main character. Ive done multiple play-throughs making sure to choose a new partner each time. They are all very unique and interact differently. We never felt like the author copy and pasted the same generic dialog for the romantic partners. Every character is special and you learn something new through all of them. We would highly recommend this game to any COG fan.
Our only complaint is that we have to wait for book 2.
It was amazing and very well written! The characters of Unit Bravo are fun to interact with and lovable in their own ways. The story itself was interesting and kept us wanting to read on (was up till 5am this morning playing. Lol) and kept us wanting more. With that said we cant wait till Book Two… Seriously. We wish it was out now.
Omg this is so good like we would go to bed thinking of nothing except this game when we woke up the first thing we do is start to play it's a really good story and we are freaking out because we don't want to wait for the second one the first was good the second we can't even imagine.

This honestly one of the best purchases Ive made. Probably because Im attracted to murder but…also the romance! We cant wait for the other book to come out Im waiting for that Book Two.
Just finished this( its 5:30 a.m. For us) and Im stunned. Never before have we ever binged a whole choice story in one go. We just could not put down our phone, it was so good! And this will probably be one of the few that we choose to go through multiple times. The standout positives for us were the romance and how you are given different perspectives to read through(your perspective is the only one you can make choices). Since we love almost everything about this story, Im only going to point out the few negatives for us. First, how romance is done. This is coming from doing one route, so Im not sure if the others are the same, but the rom is slow. You can get several scenes which are very enjoyable, but dont go anywhere beyond flirting or minor touching. We guess we can understand, since this is the first book in a series(and we do appreciate it since it feels natural). However in the last couple or so moments you get, and its just about to get good, then BAM!, something happens and the moment is over. We hated it cause we just wanted our character to kiss them already! Possible second( it wasnt for us) was that a lot of stats dont affect choices. Stats are divided into two groups. Group ones stats are more of a record on how you talked/ behaved. Group twos stats are the ones that determine which actions youll be able to do/ pull off in the story. (Not a negative for us since we wasnt tied down to act or talk a certain way, just our actions.) One last thing Id like to say is how we wish there was a feature in all of these stories where you could re-read the whole thing with the choices you made. Im the type of person who likes to only go through once because it makes our choices feel that much more important and makes us really think on what we should choose. Last, last thing we want to say is thank you to the author and Im highly anticipating your next entry.

As a huge fan of romance, we had a LOT of fun with this one! The length is perfect (for book one, at least) and Im beyond excited for the sequel! Nice choices, story, and writing. Few typos but didnt bother us much. Overall, we really do recommend.
