This is the perfect app to learn to identify countries on a map. We’ve been very happy with it so far.

It crashes our phone. Specifically when doing all the countries in modes such as world map and large countries. Its a great app, and the multiplayer is awesome. We play it with our girlfriend. But it crashes alot.

So, Its Good But 1: Ads Pretty Much Overflow The App, And 2: You Have To Find The Same Country A BILLION times and it is SO annoying.

Would be nice if it would divide all of Africa into subsections of 10-15 countries so you can learn them In chunks. It does give you North Africa–why not do the whole continent that way? Similarly, the Caribbean should be its own thing, and all the smaller nations of Oceania. It doesn’t have the 20 regions of Italy, but it has all 100 provinces. Yikes! Was good for Europe and Asia. But rather expensive.

This game was free for us yesterday an now we have to pay to play it very lame.

Within a few days we went from being horrible at geography to correctly naming every country. Highly recommend if you want a fun way to improve your geography skills.

Its organized well and has been very helpful in empowering us to learn geography. One observation and complaint is that Israel is listed as a country and it should say PALESTINE. It could at the very least list Palestine as an OCCUPIED territory. Curious omission given information given on other parts of the map.

The app is very nice but considering that all of this information is free and there are other geography apps, the price was too high. We were able to do the country/continent quizzes only one time each with free version, and then we were locked out until we purchased. Not worth the price so we will have to leave the app. We dont have any complaints with the app itself, just the price.

How sad that this app is politicized. Palestine is non existent. Two small areas within Israel are ghosted. Cant even bring yourselves to acknowledge Palestine? Brain wash the masses by pretending the country doesnt exist. This is supposed to be an educational app, not an app with a political agenda.

Downloaded and tried to open it but it didnt work.

To what all costs, our game keeps lagging and stuff. Please fix the issue before our pad thing crashes, btw. It was hard when we first started playing. But atleast we DIDNT LIKE IT. Cause of the lag, this may be a bug-bug issue.. BUT when we are a pro, our game probably wont lag, sorry if this was long. Its almost done, IF YOU COULD FIX it. We can be very happy for it, and now im done. GOODBYE!

We’ve looked around for an app to really learn world geography and this is the best we’ve found so far. It also has features to isolate continents and learn countries within them and has links to their Wikipedia pages, learn landmarks, states, etc. Perfect app to broaden your general knowledge of the world.

Please change the color of Monaco it is the exact same color as Italy thank.

We recently downloaded this game and was really enjoying it; went on today and suddenly everything we had free access to is locked and now has to be paid for. Not worth the download if youre not willing to pay; only a little bit is free now. Very disappointing as it started out completely free.

$2.99 a month or $17.99 total is too much. Some features are good. But Id like to see a way to compete with friends remotely instead of on the same device. Id also like the map to be a 3-d globe instead of a skewed flat projection of a globe.

Hi thanks 4 reading our review. This game is great but whenever we click on Arizona and we press the check mark it switches to Michigan we have no clue why but overall this game is great.

Great app BUT we wish it would give you an option of hearing how the counties are pronounced. We bought the app and memorized most of our counties with it but recently we just do a free quiz online because it will pronouns the country name for you.

We are a world traveler and this app is our pass time when we are on a boat or on a plane. We truly enjoy it when we get better at identifying countries around the world. We feel it makes us smarter in a way too! Plus, when we are with friends and family, this is an excellent app to break the ice. People challenge each other, think a lot before they select an answer, and laugh a lot. We recommend this app.

Love the free version of the app. Would definitely spend the $40 on the full version if it also covered major features like rivers, lakes, mountains, deserts, etc.. Is this potentially in the works?

They allow you to use the app and most of its features for a time period, then suddenly take away the state you were playing with and lock it behind a fee. Fun for a while but we would recommend other apps.

This is a great geography quiz app. Please consider adding quiz of country flags as well. Also when showing city answers, it would make sense to show the country name too.

When we started playing the game it let us use everything. The problem is that it asks you to pay lots of money. This game was going to be the best till ,for some reason took nearly all the game modes out of the game when we wrote our review. We hadnt sent it but we wrote it, then a day later it took nearly all of the modes of. And thats why we give you a 2 star rating.

This app makes learning geography super easy- one minor flaw- at certain points it will tell you to stop learning and remove the possibility of progress.

The game locks your out of most modes unless you pay for a subscription that cost $40 a month. Which is ridiculous. We would have happily just paid a small amount for the app upfront. But $40 is AAA game territory and this is not worth that.

Great app! We were able to learn all 245 countries, including tiny countries and dependent nations, in roughly 6 hours. As for improvements, it would be nice if there is an option to separate the tiny countries from dependent nations, and to learn more about islands. For example, Ascension (UK) is part of 3 islands Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha, but only Saint Helena is mentioned. Or Kitts and Nevis.. Which one is Kitts and which one is Nevis? Same for Wallis and Futuna, which one is which? Theyre all just bulked together as one. It would also be nice if the cities and capitals option receives a little more improvement. For example, even if you know which countrys capital it is, theres no way to get the answer right unless you click the right spot. If that was the case, for the learning process, it would be helpful to have an indication like a circle or the likes at the area where the capital is located. And it doesnt have the quiz option like the one you get for the countries. Or an option to show the capitals beforehand, like the show nearby countries option. Great work! Thanks again for an awesome app!

Very well done app to learn geography.

The app is now asking for our birthday, but then we are unable to use it making the whole thing meaningless.

Addictive and fun! We were able to learn the countries very quickly, in about a week. $3 for a month is a bargain because you can easily learn everything in that time. In the future, we hope to see updates for bodies of water. Id also like the ability to combine two or more regions for a quiz. Thanks for a fun, educational app!

The app itself is great. The design is clean and the graphics are high quality. We understand the demand for subscription or lifetime purchase. However, we would really like that ads be removed when picking either of these options. For us, that will surely be the breaking point. If ads cannot be removed than we wont keep this app.

Can you include a category for the 195 countries recognized by the United Nations?

Was great until they locked stuff behind a paywall. Now, they need to make money to keep it running but a subscription for this app $3.00 a month to have access to targeting learning would not recommend at all.

This app is so good if you want to learn geography fast and quiz yourself. We experienced no ads even! But after a couple of days it kicks you out of so many quizzes and asks you to pay a lot of money . This app was easily 5 stars if it wasnt so expensive or if you didnt even have to pay!

Its fine it just is kind of hard to understand at the beginning. It also gets boring after a while.

This was the coolest app and we learned so much so fast, but it hooks you by having all the categories available the first day and then locks them all and asks for a ridiculous subscription. We would definitely pay a few dollars for this app, but no way a monthly or yearly subscription.

This used to be a great geography app with a lot of free things to study like countries and capitols but not even a week after we got it they made an update and got rid of all the free stuff unless you want to know countries airlines or largest airports and corporate headquarters, like who even wants to know, most airplanes fly everywhere you can just look it up. This was dissapionting because it used to be a really good app, but now Im just going to get rid of it.

You need to pay for practically EVERYTHING. Dont even waste your time and get another app thats just as good and free to learn.

Its a great app, really is. But so ridiculously overpriced. $40? Subscription fees? Sorry, no app is worth that cost. If prices more reasonably the developer would likely have a higher adoption rate.

Great app. Super simple for simple minds and fingers, like ours. Nice easy speed, leave when you’ve had enough, come back another time. "Learn a bit, then quit." (Hey! We should run copyright that muy toot-dulce ;). SO much catchier than "Khan Learning Academy" :D ) we began with only a couple of places on the globe and have done only a few sessions. Thanks to Where Is That? We’ve retained more than in years of looking repeatedly at maps and trying to remember them. We do also use simple first-letter mnemonics. Like, we’ve always kept Norway-Sweden-Finland straight, west to east, even before this app, because "NSF"=National Science Foundation. (So we’re a nerd. YOU use your OWN phrase.)

What a fun way to learn geography. We love the music playing in the background and the funny praise when you get one right. Great job!

Paid for this app hoping to brush up,on world geography. Installed the app and it immediately crashed upon opening. Deleted, reinstalled, crashed. Waste of $5.

This is a great way To review or learn about world geography.

We love this App. We got embarrassed at Starbucks when we (a professional engineer) said we didn’t want Sumatran coffee because "I don’t like African coffee." The barista politely told us "Sumatra’s not in Africa, stupid." She was right. We were stupid. But thanks to this App, we’re no longer stupid. Thank you, Where Is That! (by the way, Sumatra is in Indonesia)

First, we just want to say that this app is really well made. It has a lot of features and is packed with info. We really like that it supports the iOS9 slide-from-the-right multitasking feature. That’s really handy when we’re using this app for reference. Definitely a keeper on our iPad. @Developers: Two things we would suggest: 1. Please make a view mode that looks at the Earth at a perpendicular angle. In other words, so that the center of the Earth is in the middle of the screen. Currently, the world look like the top of a desk globe; cool effect for realism, but it sometimes makes it uncomfortable on the eyes. 2. We can’t seem to find a way to turn off only the city names but keep country names on. If this is not an option, please make it an option as it is helpful for studying the countries.

Don’t download unless you plan to buy. Very limited access. Also, after every quiz your results screen sits there. No exit or return button. Have to close the app and reopen to play. Don’t recommend.

Paid $2 and just get tons of ads – including 30 second ads during a 10 round multiplayer. Also the multiplayer doesn’t show where you both selected and which the correct country is which is a huge part of the fun. Not worth the money at all.

This would get 5 stars, but the constant ads are beyond annoying, especially since it is not possible to close the ad window on the iPhone, forcing you to go to the App Store after every single game. Even after paying $1.99, the ads don’t go away.
