Macabre and eccentric scenes, intertwining stories that arent boring, and puzzles that are just the right difficulty level to keep our interest without leaving us stumped for long periods, which is just what we like when we want to relax. Better than most we’ve played.

We’re not usually into darker themed games, but this one is so well done, we’re glad we played! Great story, good graphics, extras. Not a frequent reviewer, but had to give a shout out to this one.

Lots of drugs were consumed during the making of this one. And we could not be happier with the result! Wow!

We’ve been playing these games for over a decade. We love the mystery and dark story lines many follow. We’ve played games that were so basic, we were bored in mere minutes and some very well written games but never have we played one with so many levels of intrigue. Our favorite part which is def unique with this game is the puzzles. The puzzles Im used to arent clever, they are hard. Whoever wrote these puzzles, BRAVO! They are so clever. They are unique. And they arent so easy they are boring but are solvable with some thought. We very much enjoyed this game. We dont believe we’ve ever written another review in ten years. Thank you.

Havent come across a game that we found so good, but this one is blowing us away! Great story, great HOs, great graphics. This has them all.

Loved this game. Our only complaint: it was too short. Would have loved to save a few more characters. The storyline was creepy but not over the top, the puzzles were fun and challenging – high marks all around. Warning – bug alert: A bug in the puzzle with the chains; one of them (blue with gold) refused to move. Minor nitpick in an otherwise great game.

Creepy in the extreme!! But it is a great, challenging game. Well worth the time and money. However, if you are prone to nightmares, forget it… Lol.

Was a longer game than many. Games we’ve not played before. Glad we did find it on sale. $2.99 much more reasonable than $6.99. Overall the game was interesting even if a bit dark sided.

Great graphics, interesting story. The puzzles are interesting. Not too hard nor too easy. Have enjoyed it more than most we have played in a long while.

LOVE Thank you GrandMA Studios! ‘Cause nothing says "HELLO!" than a drowned little girl suggesting water sports. Everburning certainly lives up to its name. First: It’s a bright high energy game with a never ending paranormal storyline set in the turn of the century. It starts with a bang, instantly grabbing you by the hair, quickly dragging you into various directions, complete with a "Slap in the face" Option… (or was that last night…?) and loads of in your face action (def last night) with dark energies snatching &sucking people into disappearing vortexes, faced with giving CPR, and dealing with five alarm fires…. And that’s just the first five minutes! Second: This game is Ever-Lasting! Every time the items dwindled down with an explosive video segment and dialogue, we fully anticipated the ending… But no. It ratchets right back up, springs back into action… Again and again. Now that’s worth paying these airport prices. Scenes are carefully thought out with fantastic realistic graphics and video, beautifully crafted, -down to the tiniest details- utilizing every inch of space, highlighting all kinds of cool creepy objects. The reality comes alive through movement in scenes, from the wispy blowing of hair, dresses, curtains, cracklings and sparks from the fires… And much more. We appreciate the fast pace and with such a large volume and variety of items and scenes- you have tons of interactive areas to explore and figure out: A HUGE for people like us who only use Custom mode w Two helps: HINT/SKIP. Don’t let the MidEvil to Victorian type era fool you, there’s nothing old here: The game in its entirety is breath of fresh air: start to finish. Happy that we wasn’t hacking on the usual endless dust from archaic and brittle worn out HO/Puzzles/Mini-Games that should have been retired LONG AGO…. And the best part? NO DOGS!! Not one whiny mutt to placate! Hurray! Say hello to a Rain Forest looking Frog…(this one looks like a scary plastic toy) ….. Who gets a crown. Simple, but we’ll take that over dogs/cats/crows, etc., ANYTHING that’s new and different! The well thought out awesome graphics are so perfectly intricate; a level of attention to detail that enriches each scene… As gruesome as they are. Its the "paranormal meets mystery" continuity that keeps the fantasy alive throughout, like the disembodied spirits/voices/creatures, a desk made of human body parts, a mask within a Tiffany-esque style lamp, a wheezing man/spider hybrid (think Body Snatchers, concrete angels and a fairly shocking blend of human and inanimate objects that make the creepiest dolls seem cuddly, and too much more… The little girl cube mini game reversing scenes was UBER COOL. So was the swish video segment afterward. ALL of the HOP’s and Mini-Games were really, REALLY interesting and diverse. Each one was unique, most took more time than usual, and JOY, not a drive by in the bunch. There were twice as many as compared to other games. Love the pull down/exchange games, finding objects in the mist, and the three lines of sliding shapes to open the door puzzle… Simple, but different and more time consuming. FUN. But as always- some critique: GET A ROOM! There’s always room for improvement. Starting with our long standing criticism in every game. Considering this is such a fantastic game, setting a fabulously new higher standard – we expected the actual skill level to be much more difficult. We are still looking for truly mind-bending tasks requiring a lot of time/thought -really pushing the boundaries of these types of genres. By allowing the user to choose/adjust the internal game settings -just like the custom option -creating a very challenging and thought provoking journey. MYIDEAL. ……….. RACING TO THE FINISH…. In the last fiery ten minutes, our nemesis emerged from the flames, disguised as that lazy "hoop-jumping task master" to ensure we were furiously running back and forth to collect the final items…. In one foul swoop… Injecting insult to irony…. By adding AN ANNOYING GRUFF-WHINY CAT to the fray, not only to placate, but to have to actually WORK by gathering items to make a toy to lure the walking fur lined irritation away. Thus began sucking the fun right out of the game… Instead of an explosive and/or satisfying resolution to what’s been a GREAT game. (The only one so far since Phantasmat’s Crazy Amazing Mournful Loch) But that aside, and overall, what it lacks in complexity…. It makes up for in creativity….(oh boy….. Could we insert some very inappropriate jabs here.. Lol…) and we look forward to the next installment. We are absolutely appreciative GrandMA strives to be forward thinking and different. That alone deserves PRAISE. We Cannot wait for our next visit with GrandMA! BONUS GAME: A huge departure from the game, in terms of skill, interest, challenge, etc. Disappointment. The first HO game was way too easy. Its ridiculous attempt to deceive with the "Dreamcatcher": by including the decorative circular mesh type hoop with embellished/beaded feathers hanging down, and nearby one separated.. Feather… Would NOT BUDGE.. Forcing us to use HINT… Assuming it was a glitch… Indicating a group of large brass bells? FACT:Native Americans are insulted by modern interpretations of "Dreamcatchers" as over-commercialized, offensively misappropriated/misused, since word and object intentionally created for spiritual protection, with great respect. The materials are all soft and without noise. Metal bells can be interchangeable with wind-chimes- … But NOT Dreamcatchers. Do your homework. Miss LC in SF.

Im really picky about these kinds of games. Its been a long time since we found a game that we’ve enjoyed as much as this one. Our only issue is there was a glitch when we found the craniometer-it broke apart immediately and we did not get an item that we needed. We had to start all over again but wasnt too upset about it because the rest of the gameplay has been so great. There are a couple of small moments where the translation, while correct, does not match the time period. Not a big deal but it did take us out of the story for a second. Overall, the gameplay is fun-not particularly difficult but not annoyingly easy. And there are a few choose your own moments that were a pleasant surprise. Im not sorry we spent the money.

Above average and clever puzzles. Storyline is a bit too much (compared to actual puzzle playing) and slow. Not as engaging as others. Also, the game has a lot of technical problems and tends to freeze. (Had to offload and reinstall several times) But, otherwise, good game.

Game was working great for awhile then we went into a room that we couldnt back out of and didnt have tools to complete. Reinstalled game, started over and it happened again in another location. Locked in a place where we can do nothing. Hints just keep telling us there is nothing to do here. Cant find technical support for the game either.

Just couldn’t get into it to say we enjoyed it. Honestly, found it a little boring… Sorry.

We are normally thrilled with our Big Fish purchases- have been for many years. But this one we felt was a true bait and switch. We played the free part and it was good, interesting and challenging. We didnt mind paying full price because it had such great reviews. AS SOON AS we made the purchase- it changed. We like the back story in our game as much as anyone – but we want to play not watch a movie. And it was extremely irrational, there was no continuity. And it got glitchy !! We’ve never had that happen before. Not a good one Big Fish – not even gonna finish it.

Very aggravating!! We were really enjoying this game but when it got to the girls dream we couldnt select anything from the boat it just closed us out and wouldnt let us go back. We restarted several times same issue now Im stuck. Want our money back!,,

Really difficult to play on iphone 11pro. Animation was stop-motion-ey and pointers used in puzzles were very sluggish. Items in inventory hidden are behind bottom of screen and seemed too small to see, plus, no description of item appeared when it was touched. Bummer.

We tried to purchase the app which was supposed to be on sale for $2.99 but when we went to check out it tried to charge us $6.99. We went back and checked and despite it being only 10:48 the sale price that we had checked minutes before and saw was $2.99 had changed to $6.99. The weirdest part is it claimed it was still on sale 55% off.

Whether you play the first few scenes for free or PAY FOR THE FULL GAME, you come to a point where it prompts you to purchase the full game. You cant. It puts you in a loop where it just comes back to the same screen after you try to purchase. We played the free part, then tried to purchase, but it wouldnt let us. We wrote to Big Fish, who suggested we uninstall the game and try again. We purchased the game before we played it this time. Same result. When we click on Already purchased, a pop-up window tells us there is no record of this purchase on our account. So, enjoy the free part. You cant go any further, even after you pay.

What we are enjoying is the puzzles. They are unique to many games that are out there. They combine HOs with puzzles and thats fun! We dont like that the tools are so close to the bottom of the screen. We close the game a lot when we dont want to. We would recommend overall!

Lots to do. Had fun playing this one.

It was long enough to really enjoy it. The puzzles were doable.

We loved playing this game. It was not short. Wonderful graphics. Good mini-games and HOP. You have to find some through paragraphs and some where you pull a cord to go back and forth in tapestries to gather objects and then place them appropriately. The main story is Chapter 1 Outcasts. Bonus is Chapter 2 Runaway and there is a 3rd Chapter Brilliant Mind which is misleading. First off, it is locked. You have to go to Extras and tap Marbles. There were 36 to find throughout the scenes and now you can go to scenes you missed and collect the rest. Then the chapter is unlocked. We thought it was going to be another story. It is just answering riddles (multiple choice answers) to collect bat charms and escape the location. Then the game is really over. That was disappointing.

We dont know why we get so few games from this developer, Grandma Studios, who give us exciting and virtually flawless gameplay. We nitpick over every game, as all of you know, and we enjoyed this game so much we wont even deduct stars for any minor quibble. You could customize settings. The graphics were fabulous and some were hauntingly gorgeous. The cut-scenes were extremely well-executed and did not exhibit a lot of pixelation, such as we might see from a Domini game. The storyline was unusual to a point and kept our interest, and the gameplay was so addictive that we didnt want to stop in order to sleep. We were given a journal which stored notes in order to keep track of the nuances of the game. Tasks were regularly updated. There was an excellent marked teleport map to transport you instantaneously between locations, and it wont tell you when there are other tasks at a different location until you complete all tasks at the previous location. Collectibles were only marbles this time and they werent impossible to find. There was no useless running around. At each location there was a plethora of tasks to accomplish, and when you completed a location it was checked off. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. We dont understand why certain people felt this game was dated. We dont need fancy gimmicks in order for a game to be fantastic; we just need an interesting storyline and great gameplay, and that is exactly what we got. The HO scenes had variation and some were unusual and similar to what you might see from a developer such as Mad Head or Elephant Games (the cube HO, the one with the banners, the one with the clouds). There was an alternative match-3 puzzle as well. As far as puzzles and games, many were rotational, some were games of dexterity, and still others were codes, but surely there was a puzzle or game to suit everyone who played. We are not big on rotational games, but we dont just skip them because by working on them you increase brainpower and retrain your brain! This game was lengthy with the bonus adventure and a second little mini-adventure as a reward for finding all the marbles. This game ran very smoothly and we didnt encounter any glitches. By the way, we play in silence and the sound did not remain on! In any event we didnt want to finish this game because we were so enthralled by it! We are leaving our review at 5 stars, which is a rarity for us. BigFish, you need to persuade Grandma Studios to develop more games for us. They are as fabulous as Elephant and even Mad Head! This game will be a tough act to follow, and will we even get a new game tomorrow? Our gut is telling us that we will, but not which developer. We are overdue for a Domini game. We are also due for the new release from Five BN Uk, the second installment in the Legacy series, but we dont know why it wasnt released in April, which is when it was supposed to be available on iOS. Anyway, happy gaming to everyone. We hope you enjoyed this scary and thrilling gem of a game!

Lots of clever aspects to this game, with special details and sound effects that put you right in the asylum. We found the storyline to be both intriguing and suspenseful. In some of the hidden object scenes there were multiple phases to them, which were very creative. Puzzles had some challenge to them as well. Loved this one and found it very captivating! Smooth gameplay and experienced no glitches or lag times. Great Job developers!!! Fellow gamers: Be sure and give this one a try and buy. Great Entertainment!!!! Looking forward to our next release – Keep these kind of games coming! Happy Gaming Everyone KdBoots P.S. Fellow Gamers: While waiting for our next release check out a free episode of a game called Adera. It is a different style, but quite an adventure. 1st episode is free, other episodes 3.99 each.

This game uses unique interaction in the HOs unlike seen by other developers. Absolutely delightful and deserves a rare 5 star rating from us.

We are impressed how creative the games are getting. We played the Gold Miner game last week. We were so impressed by the art work we went ahead and bought this game before trying. And it is good. We are a Ravenhearst fan so of Course Id like the asylum theme. More later.

This latest sequel, in our opinion, is the best in the series it is outright amazing! The technique in which the story line is conveyed is ingenious. This developer did a splendid job of creating surreal worlds of spine-tingling fantasy, each with its own surprises along the way. The exploration of the eerie asylum, while discovering the sinister secrets behind the "outcast" patients, keeps us in steady apprehension and intrigue. The acquired reading materials thoroughly convey the backstory; we love the twist of taking the Rorschach Test. We are entertained by occasionally choosing between certain actions that affect the gameplay. The chilling sound effects such as the unsettling whispers and the creepy songs of children signify warnings of evil yet to come. We are particularly fascinated by the imaginative artwork, together with the eye-popping animations that jump out and scare us. The HOSs thematically suit the nightmarish-like ambiance. We love the one in which you rotate the cube depicting scenes of the town around to locate the items; and at the same time, you place those items back into the cube’s scenes. Some of the puzzles cleverly reflect the objectives in progress, such as resuscitating the keeper in the asylum. We appreciate how we could choose a mode of operation for some. The singular set of collectibles is easy to spot, but at times, it could blend into the background. Folks, this game is a rare gem in which the exposition of the plot, together with the wondrous creativity of the gameplay, come together cohesively to make for a spellbinding experience. It should not be passed up. We strongly suggest you give the free trial a spin. We rate this game a rare 5 stars.

This is by far the best one we have played. We have been buying for years. Keep them coming like this.

Very well done! Love the Rorschach tests and the different characters. We did notice in the bonus section that an HOS asked us to find a dream catcher but after many attempts we did a random search and touched the bouquet of roses. A minor thing for a great game.

One suggestion: please decrease the refresh rate to 5 seconds. Otherwise, this is a quality game. You can tell that a lot of work went into programming this game, especially the interactive HOPs. We didnt want the game to end! Cant wait for the sequel!

Good graphics; intriguing gameplay, but its buggy. Had to start over after quitting in spider game sequence. Really annoying.

We have played other Whispered Secrets games. This one had an okay plot but is dated and the format has not been updated. We did not enjoy this one as much as the others. Play demo before you purchase.

Just not our type of game. Seemed outdated and did not like the theme.

Fix it, and Ill play it. We DON’T WANT SOUND!

Just a heads up – if you are like us and play with the volume turned off in game options, the music and ambient sounds stay on – LOUD.
