The mini games are understandable and the items one uses to activate things are practical. No having to try everything in your inventory to figure out what is needed. At least 50% through the game with zero glitches. The map is accurate.

Most fun game we ever played. We’ve played so many & this game made sense & moved so smoothly. Thanks for the great scenes, too.

Graphics were clear and colorful. HO games were different. You had to do different stuff, wasn’t the same old thing. Story was good, just enough magic without being satanic. Puzzles were challenging and easy to understand. The characters were so fun, you couldn’t help but smile when they spoke. Definitely a winner in our book.

Hey everyone we haven’t encountered any glitches or problems with this game yet.(iOS,IPad) we’re still playing but felt the need to review since we are enjoying this one so much. Colorful and interesting graphics. Fresh HOBs and fantastic soundtrack. Storyline is pretty good as well as voiceovers. Love the little ferret! She is not annoying when waiting for tasks as we have found other endlessly waving helpers. We will see as we move further. Enjoy!

Don’t miss this game. Play it now. We’ve played so many of these games and we must say this game may be the best yet. This game makes you smile every time you come back to play. The mini games are especially creative and fun. They’ll tease your brain but aren’t so difficult you can’t solve them. The storyline is cohesive, be sure to play the series. There is interaction around every corner, not just the usual mini games and it’s long enough to be well worth the cost of the game.

Okay, so the story is pretty goofy. The first part is hard to follow. Stay with it and it will make more and more sense as the story develops. It’s fantasy for sure, but it takes a while to coalesce. The graphics are wonderful and the puzzles are quite varied. They’re mostly easy, but they take a unique approach to the usual. We highly recommend this for an enjoyable afternoon.

We like all the games in the awakening series.

We’ve not experienced any lag time between scenes or glitches. We are playing it on an iPad Air2 64 GB. We are really enjoying this game.

Finish game and now on second player.

Finally a game that takes more than a few hours to play! This one was a challenge and we are so happy with it. The graphics are spot on! So much fun! Cannot wait for the sequel.

Greetings, Gamers: Fearing the worst from some reviews we read, we opted anyway to at least give the trial a go. And we sure am glad we did! We’ve experienced no lag times or glitches, simply a delightful, enchanting game we’ve enjoyed playing immensely. This has got to be one of the best games we’ve played in awhile: clever and creative, the gameplay is intuitive and well thought-out. Love the touches of humor and flat-out fun creativity. And that ferret helper is a hoot. We sometimes tap the wrong areas just to hear her sigh, growl and kibbitz! Game devs, take a bow or two. Nothing but ‘bravos’ and cheers for more from us! Until next time, fellow gamers, May the stars light your way in the darkness.

The game is intelligent and beautiful, with lovely animations. Theres a variety of puzzles, including some very clever hidden-object ones. They have created a kind of Alice-in-Wonderland world that is a treat to visit. And the game lasts a while, to boot!

Love this game, well worth your money. This game has it all. Good story line great scenes the H.O. Gs were good and the length of the game well put together love it so will you.

Even the Hidden object puzzles had more to it than just finding items.

We think this is the best game we’ve ever played from Big Fish. The game is engaging, gorgeous graphics and the most imagination we have ever seen. They added humor (long overdue) amusing creatures and little treasures when you’re you’re tapping around for morphs. First time we’ve smiled playing a game. The mini games are NEW and extremely creative and the hop’s challenge your brain. It’s long and we’re trying to stretch it out cuz we hate to see it end. Hope this brilliant team keeps up this quality…. THANKS!!!

No lags or glitches with the iPad Pro. Some folks will find the puzzles too easy but we personally am not fond of really complex puzzles unless the instructions are detailed and clear. This game uses 2.5 gb of space which is ludicrous. We used to share our previous iPad with our preschool grandkids but we had to pass on a number of games for us because space was limited. Finally we bought a new one with a larger capacity and the children have their own. We feel somewhat resentful that we had to upgrade only because developers are increasing the footprint of new games.

This game really does go on and on for a great length of time. The story is interesting and there are lots of scenes and tons of items to pick up. We enjoyed it quite a bit. The special games were a little too easy though. I’d like to see it raised a couple of notches…

It was a good game but the loading time takes longer than 5-10 seconds. Can you fix that?

We gave it four stars because the has too many ads. If someone want to see the available games, theyll use the Big Games App!

Fun game, not too difficult. Hardly used the guide. Moves really slow between scenes, which surprised us considering the amount of memory this used. Still, enjoy the series.

Loading…….. Never a good sign particularly when it’s the first thing you see as the game loads! And yet here we are. It could have been fabulous – great artwork, cute helper, nice story but that loading….. Pack your patience if you want to play it! There are vermin but not a ton of them. Verdict- buy on sale and pack your patience while loading between scenes.

We enjoyed the game lots of different puzzles and mini games. We just couldnt get the so to work.

The amount you charge given the complexity of the games and most importantly the LENGTH of most of them. BUT not on this one. The length is wonderful as we lost our self in relaxing game play and the puzzles were of a nice mix and you really really made an effort on the creativity aspect of them. Im not gonna lieI STILL think six dollars is too much. But we are comparing that to the fact that for just a few dollars we played the room games and davinchi and ummmm well some others that certainly appear to be more complex and waaaay longer and yet they charge half of what you are charging why is that???. Having said that. Im gonna stick with our call on this one. It was good. Nice effort and we LOVED the ability to increase the zoom on the hidden object puzzles. Thank your for that from a blind old lady. Pat yourselves on the back you have a winner winner chicken dinner!!! . Ps there were long loading issues and a lil bit too much back and forth for future games it would be lovely to not have that. Yet still. Loved this one.

4.5 stars bumped down to 4 NOTE: ARTIFEX MUNDI JUST RELEASED FACES OF ILLUSION: TWIN PHANTOMS – free trial and on sale right now! We were hesitant to try this game from Elefun given the problems I’d had with their earlier games (long long LOOOOONG lag times between scenes) but it looks like they fixed the problem with this one. Heads-up: it takes up around 2.5G of memory on your phone or tablet! You play from a guy’s perspective in this game – the son who has to fix the curse that’s descended upon his family. Story not too original, but we love the level of detail put into this game – try poking at random things in the scene to see what happens! Custom mode of play, transportable map that you pick up early in the game, morphing objects in each scene, as well as puzzle pieces to find. Instead of Imp (Lynn’s helper in the previous games), you get Bertha (a girl turned into a ferret) to help you out. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours … Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames. Com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform – usually PC or Mac) Myths of the World: Born of Clay and Fire (4.1 stars, Epic, Mar. ’16) Phantasmat: Town of Lost Hope (3.5 stars, Eipix, Apr. ’16) Endless Fables: The Minotaur’s Curse (4.2 stars, Sunward Games, Mar. ’16)

We really enjoyed this game but there are some glitches. It keeps sending you back to a place and then it won’t let you do anything. Still enjoyed it!

We and our 11 year old son Love BigFish hidden objects. This one was very fun and amazing. We will do this game many times .

ATTENTION: "Faces of Illusion: The Twin Phantoms" has just been released by Artifex Mundi. The context here is one of eccentricity and delusion as you are startled by bewildering imagery, such as the stairs composed of floating pillows leading up to a couch; clumsy tree creatures with grim faces and overgrown limbs; and wacky, creature-like contraptions or statues that spring to life upon touch. Even though the omnipresence of occult-like symbolism is prevailing, such as with a witch’s cauldron, the dream catchers, and the ghosts of tortured souls, we still think that this installment is less spooky and macabre than its predecessors. The graphics are subpar in sharpness and clarity; they appear muddy and unrefined in detail. The coloration, once again, is overwhelmed with steadfast shades of blue, which are brightened by the vibrant and shining full moon; and this creates a shadowy, inauspicious mood. You may customize your settings to enable your desired preferences. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map gives speedy travel to labeled locations and indicates available actions. The HOS consist of varying fashions, and they are creatively executed to advance your knowledge of the witches’ powers. For example, we love the one where you first find individual potions in accordance with narration; then you find the items on the list. The puzzles are diverse and entertaining; many are story driven, such as the one where you play consecutive mini-games involving cog wheels as you gain parts of the backstory. The collectibles are fairly conspicuous in placement; but depending on the visibility of the scene, they can blend well into the background. Transition between scenes has been consistently lagging in this series, and this installment is no exception; you can expect delays of up to a few seconds. Overall, the story holds our interest, especially since the effectiveness of the interwoven animations, such as an owl hooting upon touch, further creates an immersive experience. Furthermore, gameplay is highly engaging with many interactive elements incorporated throughout. If you have patience for the sluggish transition, then we think you might actually enjoy this game. Our true rating is 4 stars; we deducted a star due to the unfortunate flaw regarding plodding transition.

The game is okay, we’ve seen better. The trial portion wasn’t that long. We purchased this game thinking it would get better, it didn’t. There were too few "bad guys" and then the game froze on us after we purchased it, the hint button worked, but when we selected an puzzle area to play it did nothing, what a waste of $7.00. C’mon Artifex Munda fix the game!!!

This game is for you if your answer is yes. Beautiful, yes. More of a plot than many of these, yes. But, oh! So much back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth! Thought we might never finish it from the sheer boredom of back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Unfortunately, the bonus game falls victim to what other reviewers have noted in other games from Elfun… Interminable pauses between scenes. We couldn’t take it.

This is an old game with only a few choices under options. It was fun, but not worth $4.99, in our opinion. The hint works well. The graphics are okay. The puzzles rather easy, but okay for passing the time. We dont know why BF thinks they can charge high prices for old games, and call it a sale. To us, its a clearance, and should be priced accordingly.

The game is somewhat confusing , but our biggest gripe is it is slow to respond to our touch. Also the directions to the mini games are not very clear. If you like whiplash the game is for you.

We love this game, but twice we got to Chapter 6 and the game closed and started us back at the beginning! We won’t start again until BF fixes this glitch! Come on BF! This is the second game we have had problems with, the first was The Klaus Brothers!

Thank you so much to both KimTwilight and Izzyoc for letting us know about the new game from Artifex Mundi; we love their games and will give it a try! Note to KimTwilight: we are a bit confused in regards to your review. You said that the teleport map provides speedy transport to different locations, otherwise known as scenes. You later said there was a long lag time transitioning between scenes. How is this not a contradiction? Please know we are not trying to chastise you; we just don’t understand it. We love your reviews, and you are an asset to the team! Note to Dracyy: thanks for the vermin update. We almost died from the RATS in Chimeras! Thankfully Izzyoc prepared us! Since our team kindly explained all the features (including the mouse) this game had to offer before we could even finish playing, we won’t bore you by repeating them. We loved the graphics and mesmerizing cut-scenes, the complex items, the variety of HO scenes and puzzles, and the fact that there were so many interesting tasks (elixirs, potions and spells, cracking codes, building machines) to accomplish. We love the ability to customize settings, the back button and the reliable teleport map. It was nice and lengthy with a bonus adventure. This game SHOULD have been totally magical and fun to play. However, once again Elefun has ruined it for us by giving us interminable lag time loading between locations, either in using the map or clicking on the next location. This issue was NEVER fixed or addressed, and it seemed that the longer we played, the longer the lag time became! Another problem is that in the HO scenes, using and/or combining inventory is very difficult. If not for the pairing card game alternative, we might not have been able to complete the game! In addition we could not explain the story if we tried. A journal would be a nice addition to this series. Our true rating is 3.5 stars for a game that should have been a 5 star game! LISTEN UP, BIGFISH AND ELEFUN! YOU KNOW HOW POWERFUL THE DTE HAS BECOME! EVERYONE WHO GAMES LOOKS TO OUR REVIEWS, AND BUYS GAMES BASED ON WHAT WE SAY! EVERY OTHER DEVELOPER HAS MANAGED TO GIVE US INSTANTANEOUS LOADING BETWEEN LOCATIONS. FIX THIS ISSUE OR EXPECT A BOYCOTT ON THE NEXT GAME BY ELEFUN, EITHER THIS SERIES OR FEAR FOR SALE! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND WE DESERVE BETTER! Lynxie hopes that the entire DTE, as well as all other reviewers, feels the same way. We pay good money for these games and we won’t get better games and better quality assurance unless we demand it! We send to all of you, and hope you heed our words wisely! UPDATE: ATTENTION ALL REVIEWERS! If you experienced long/interminable lag time during scene transition, and are playing on a newer device, with updated IOS, kindly email BigFish and complain about it. If we FLOOD them with emails, they will have no choice but to take action. We PAY for a game to work well and be a joy to play, not abject tedium waiting to change location! One person alone cannot get this task accomplished. This one will take a village, so let’s get writing to BF, everybody. That includes the marvelous DTE! Thanks so much, reviewers!

Would have given it a 5 BUT it took WAY to long to load in every scene, and every time you played one had to reset music button on mute if you didn’t want music. Great graphics, story line and loved all the HOS.

Twice now we’ve gotten to the lunar bowl/moonbeam part and the the game has reset on us. It’s fairly interesting, and we like the series in general, but it’s not worth it to us to go back through 3/4 of the game to see if it will reset again. Maybe we’ll try again when we upgrade from iPad2.

The game itself seems good except it’s one of those games that has made us start from the beginning 3x without getting past chapter 2.

Game even warns u that loading might take a few minutes. Ok, fair enough but they don’t warn u that moving between each setting would take way too long. We consider 4-5 seconds reasonable but in this one, as some previous noted by others here, is double that, sometimes even longer. Art is ok, some spots a bit challenging most r super easy. Overall could have been a 4 if u could advance through it faster. We’re still playing it, honestly we almost was going to trash it and consider the money gone.

We played this all the way thru the other day and besides some of the ridiculous connections between riddle/solution, the main thing we remember is loading between scenes. You will spent 75% of your time going between scenes waiting on each scene to load. You will spend a lot of time touching the screen in random places trying to figure out what to do, especially in the 5 hidden object scenes.

OMG, another Elfun game. Is this one as slow as the others?

We were enjoyable the game until we decided to pay the $6.99 for it. The game was fun so we paid the $6.99. After making the payment the game stopped working. It does not respond to our touch. We have done everything suggested in the support forum but it has not helped. We sent an email to the devs and they responded with the instructions on what we had already done in the support forum. We emailed them back to let them know it’s not working and have not heard back from them. We are now going to put in for a refund and see how that goes.

Artifact Mundy shame on you we would like our game fixed or refunded we have downloaded this game numerous times and it starts over this has been going on for a couple of months we’re Want this game but it just shuts off Fix it fix fix it we’re sick and tired of hassles like this we payout give us agoodproduct NOW NOW how about if you put the negatives on the top our IOS is 9 we want our money back we’re not an idiot taking this laying down This game shuts off Send us our MONEY MONEYMONEY UNDERSTAD YOU WANT OUR MONEY we WANT MYRETURED FOR AFRAUDULANT GAME.

Only played a part of free trial & it was really bad. Don,t waste your money on this one.

Second one in a week that freezes during play. We have restarted the game twice with no luck. Of course it happened right after we purchased. Save your money on this one. It needs to be fixed quickly.

Puzzles were too hard and confusing.

Im frozen cant move no matter how many times we clear it! Its so unresponsive to touch or ipencil. You have to hit each thing several times. We paid for this game and expect it to work! We love big fish games this is the first time we have ever had a problem with one of their games!

Very disappointed. So slow between screens we would fall asleep. Others said how beautiful the graphics were, fuzzy difficult to see, and boring. Some stated the best game they played in a while, Low on our list.

Game crashed 1 min. After purchasing full version. Can’t fix, Big Fish says get refund from Apple: they could have offered coupon or voucher for another game. We have typed this review 5 times now and they say the nickname has been taken, requiring a total rewrite. Really?
