Community Insight:
The sound works when it wants to. Each update Ive done has made the performance worse than before. Now the timer is off by about 10 seconds so when you think you have time left on the game, all of a sudden it ends before the timer is even done. We rely on the timer, so its kind of a big deal. We literally cant play good if we cant hear the timer, and that seems to be the biggest glitch with this game. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.
We really enjoy playing Word Blitz. We have been playing for a long time, but tonight we couldnt get back on, so we had to start over.
Love the game, but a bit dissatisfied after the overhaul. Small suggestion, why not keep all the new stuff and just add like a classic mode to keep more players happy.
We love this game and play all the time, however, one of our friends recently pointed out that Im still playing an older version of the app that doesnt offer power-ups. We had no idea that we were missing this feature among others. Ive checked our app to see if Im up to dateI am. And Ive also deleted and re-downloaded with no luck. We tried contacting support through the app, but the button to reach out doesnt work. Confused and a little upset that Im not receiving the full suite of gameplay, especially since its an overall awesome game.
Fun and fast pace. Really gets our mind moving creating words from the mix of letters.
Noe we remember why we deleted this game before. It has way too many ads. Other wise this game truly challenges you.
The game is great! Just the right blend of solitary game play and competition. But the amount of ads make it unplayable for us. What a shame, it couldve been great.
Our mom does not have the updated version and nothing she does updates it. She doesnt get the inspiration words and cant update her picture. Please fix this glitch.
Stop with ads we can't x out of or we're deleting game.
We recently got this game so we could try and beat our friends at game pigeon word hunt. We love it, but the ads come at the most annoying times and sometimes just end up breaking the game's audio and you have to close and open the game again. We genuinely wish there was a purchase for ad removal or at least removing the full screen ads.
If there were an ad free version Id buy it, Jesus Christ just make it STOP.
We have been playing everyday for years. Tonight, when trying to play, we got a message that says, Word Blitz cant be played now. We have tried to fix it using info from a WB email, but nothing works. We installed another Word Blitz app, this one, but it is a different game and we dont like it.
Every few months we have to reload Word Blitz because it freezes. We lose all our data in the game when this happens. We love playing but its frustrating and disappointing when this happens.
We love this game. We're hooked. We're also a huge fan of Ruzzle which is a two minute words scramble and we think this one is only one minute. It's fun and fast paced. But the ads are so annoying especially the one for the Royal Kingdom game, which we absolutely refuse to play or download. They are so annoying. And sometimes you can't get out of an ad. Also, we find that sometimes the audio turns off, and we don't know why. We really wish there was a paid version of this game. We would absolutely pay for It.

We would rate word blitz at 2. We cannot find our friends to play with. We get notes from them asking why we are not playing.
The game is fun and challenging but there seems to be an issue with Apple. Theyve been charging us a monthly fee for over a year and each time Ive asked what Im being billed for and never received a response. Then we started playing another game and being charged for things within the game(that we purchased) we wasnt having a problem with that until the charges exceeded our purchases and last November they emptied our bank account. We will not give them any of our personal and financial information. This has been extremely detrimental since we suddenly cant play all the games Ive been playing for over 10 years.
A forced update changed the entire game. If you only have time for 1 or 2 games, youre screwed. Every time we come back to play, we lose points because we didnt have time to finish the 3-part game the AP now demands. We wish the techs would return the option of playing a single game. The changes took it from one of our favorite games down to just making us annoyed every time we open it up to watch all our trophies go away. Settings are useless, as well. Cant put in a name or profile pic without connecting to FB and we dont want to play through FB. Not exactly a dealbreaker, but why not?? And, if Disney werent a liar and wishes came true, Id love to see the return of words that have been removed because someone who never had real life struggles deem some words offensive to them and now the rest of us can not use them,.

Very disappointed that you removed playing one round with a random player. That was our favorite feature. Deleting game.
YU REALLY HAVE TO TRY THIS GAME ITS RELAXING AND ADDICTING.
We love this game but it is too much ads. Please get a ad free version that adds take up so much time. This is why Im considering to stop playing takes up too much of our time with ads. We feel like Im watching more ads than playing the game.
When we started to play this game it was simple stuff. We were fine with playing the one daily game because playing three games and having to wait for the other person to play is a pain. Then they added a single game with a player and that was addictive to play. They brought in collecting gold, gems, and words ect., that made no sense to us especially when they took away the single word play, which was super disappointing. We say get rid of the collection stuff. If they want to make money bring in boosters that you would receive as rewards but then also sell the boosters.
The majority of your time with this game is spent watching ads or trying to exit out of them. And even if sound is off in settings the ads SCREAM at you. One game, one ad, one game, one ad, every single game!!! Each ads is LONGER than game play time! UGH. Uninstalled. The ads ruin it.
Why cant we talk to each other so we can learn faster from each other.
We used to play this game almost every day. You had 3 rounds against the same person to determine winner and could select to keep playing with familiar opponents. They they changed the game to a single round against a random opponent (AI?) and it no longer feels interactive or connected. It was a terrible upgrade and we play maybe once a month now.
We really liked being able to play a random stranger one and done. All of a sudden now we have to keep playing them or risk losing points if Im too late? We get the need for ads, but The ads take too long. We dont get the point of selling a book. We DO LOVE this game so much otherwise. Can we please go back to one and done random playing? Or have the option either way? Thanks for the game.
Many days that we want to play and we tap the to continue display nothing happens. It wont start a new game its just frozen. We very much enjoy the game when it works.

Why did the game revert back to the old version? Back to 3 rounds with random games! It was better with 1 round blitz.

3/26/25 – Im done. Just deleted this game for the horrid point system. Always playing beginners. No challenge. Havent fixed the sound cutting out. 3/3/2025 : ok whats up with playing newbie players when Im in a different class? Its not fair to the new players to slam them, and we get 2 trophies? What happened to playing someone whos at your level? 2/4/2025 : the sound is still dropping out. 4 games lost sound in about 10 of game play. One right in the middle of a game? Makes no sense. Update: we did discover today that as a book was opening, we got a text. We swiped down to see the text and the sound quit in the game (of the book opening) and never returned. Im using iPhone 14, if any of this helps. Why the heck did the sound keep going out??? Oh, those stupid commercials will play sound but not the actual game!!! Itll even go out in the middle of a game. The feedback in sound is half of what helps to win! This has been going on for ages without any resolution. Please please fix it.
The more you level up, its already pretty hard to earn trophies so making us play three times doesnt make it more enjoyable. Im kinda upset with this update and was enjoying the game as it was.
Used to be fun to play. Now the way players are matched its almost impossible to gain points and move up in the ranks. Lao dont like the new ad at the bottom of the screen when Im trying to play.
This game is fun, but we feel like this game is half done. There is no tiles skins to unlock and there is only online mode and no offline mode. And we wish there was more to the game.
We like the game but the amount of time required to watch ads is longer than the time we get to play the game. And the ads stop any other audio playing (music or audiobooks). If you could even fix this it would be better.

We really like playing word hunt on iMessage games so we were looking for a similar game. This game did that for us it was fun at first, BUT there is an ad after every game you play. If u can tolerate n ignore the ads then its a good game, but the excessive amount of ads made us delete the app.
We would give the game 5 stars but it keeps glitching causing loss of games. We have to keep making words that we may have already made but the words are showing up way after the fact and Im not sure if the word we formulated are being counted. Then upon losing, the point system is horrible. Im constantly getting well over 10 points constantly being deducted. We dont mind losing, it makes us play more. However, when we do beat opponents, the most points we receive for a win is between 4-7 points. Yet if we lose, especially back to back Ive had up to 100 points deducted with minus 18, then 15, then 20 then 17, and another 17 or 18 points. Its not fair to have those amount of pints deducted yet when we win Im only getting 4 points, 7 points and occasional 12 points. But NEVER back to back big scores for our multiple wins that we get back to back. Make it make sense. Makes us want to not play or invite more people to play. So we dont know what update glitches you are claiming to have fixed but the system is still glitching.
In our book thats cheating to buy points to win.
The game is fun and can be enjoyed without paying for microtransactions. There are no arbitrary hinderances to playing over and over as long as you dont mind ads. Our problem is not with ads generally, but the specific ones Im getting. Most are very pushy, predatory ads for scam gambling casino apps. We really wish we didnt have to sit through that junk, or the flashing banner ads that distract during gameplay.
Well we very much enjoyed this game until the recent update (forced to update 12/18/23). Used to be a fair and competitive word game. Nice synthesis of boggle and scrabble. Now its a cluttered disaster of pay to play garbage, ridiculous hintsjust a total bloated mess that used to be a very simple and great game. Such a pity Edit: also consistent problems with audio. We depend on the game sounds to do well. Audio seems to cut out randomly. Typically after watching a required ad. If you get a phone call during a game, audio goes out even if you dismiss call. Developers need to work on how the game prioritizes audio.
We had bought a new phone and our game info wouldnt transfers to our new phone. We contacted the help center. After a few emails and questions they transferred our info to our new phone and account. They were extremely helpful and happy to help. They were so pleasant to correspond with. We really enjoy playing the game and its nice to know there is back up from the help center. Thats a win win.
Ive had this game for a couple of years now and we love it, however this last update you removed where you are able to play 3 rounds or even request a rematch. We really dont like that part. You are only allowed to play 3 rounds with friends you already have and when you play a random player theres no way to request them as your friend so youre able to play more rounds with them. So we have couple of suggestions if we may. 1. Could you please add a feature that will let you update your profile pic 2. Could you allow a chat feature. Its been so many times Ive lost by 1 point or Ive beaten someone by a big margin, or our opponent beat us or came up with good words, and we want to thank them or talk smack and Im sure vice verse lol. Also it would be nice to meet the person Ive been playing against these past couple years. They dont even know they help us get through some rough patches lol, we credit that to this game as well. But overall this is a really good game. We would give this game 5 stars but due to those reasons Im going to rate it a 4.
This used to be our favorite word app game. But now either there is a sound glitch or app change that the sound countdown timer doesnt always work. We are getting much lower scores when the sound is off. This is very frustrating.
Fix Bug: screen freezes on Blitz Pass (3 pay options) & cannot advance to accumulate points. Happens every 4th win.
Short time to play challenging , no drama . Makes our brain work.
We would pay for this app to be ad free. Is that an option.
