What Makes Word Shaker Lite Stand Out
This is the classic version of Word Shaker, a word searching game with a twist: words don't have to be in a straight line. Your goal is to earn the most points by finding words in a grid. Each letter has a particular point value, and you earn bonuses by forming longer words.

Ive been playing this game every day for the past 10 years (if not longer) and we never get tired of it!!! Its a great stimulant for the brain too.
We play this word game every evening and live it.
The dictionary is a bit questionable in some of the supposed words it includes. Also, a great feature that wurdle had was the ability to tap to show the definition on words in the results. That added a lot of value. Still, we think its a great product and really enjoy the challenge.
Issues with game crashing when new unlimited time game . Scores not recorded in unlimited. Not updated for iOS 17.4? Please fix. This is our favorite game. It is far better than the HD version.
System crashes every time we open the game. We loved playing the game but now we cant play it.
The bugs are 1) the game crashes when we press the New game button and 2) we still see ads even after we try to upgrade. We want the old no ad experience back.
We really like the game but it keeps crashing.
Acceptable words: no consonants, abbreviations, contractions, some proper nouns, etc.
This was our favorite game for years but there was an update that increased ads and bugs. It crashes constantly so now we can't even play it. We told the developers several times but they don't do anything about it. We're forced to move on to another game which makes us very sad.
The ads come up and blare sound even if you have the app sound turned off. Warning, do not play late at night while in bed! Update: now there is an ad that comes up for a full 30seconds disabling the game when you launch it. Update 2: if you pause a game, then return and restart the game with 15 seconds left, the clock starts, but an ad appears that you cannot dismiss, and at the end of the ad, its GAME OVER. Guess what, its game over for word shaker. Our next step is deleting the app.
Easy to adjust settings to our liking so we can play a quick or long game, large grid or small.
We've been using this app for a few months now, always playing on 6×6 untimed with no shaking. We play it on the iPad, and like the phone version more than the iPad designed one. Only four stars for this version, because we dislike the visual updates. We thought the old styling was much easier to make out.
Great way to pass a few spare minutes while keeping your mind sharp.

Since the upgrade, there are way too many pop up ads between games. The ads also block the section where the in-progress word shows in red or green and make the playing area smaller.
We didn't realize the update of our fav. Game included ridiculous amounts of ads and a huge number of words that are not common. High scores in the 2,000+ for 1 min. Let us know we don't stand a chance. We paid 2.99 to lose the ads, but can't do anything about the ridiculously high scores. We need to write a program, too.
If youve checked before updating this on you phone, lucky you. Do NOT update your app. Its been 4 years since the last update and the only major change made to this one is an annoying new ad system. Pop-ups in between every game, most with loud audio that dont respect volume settings. Also a new brand new dictionary, which could be good, but just adds a whole new learning curve of near-random obscure words. We could pay to remove the ads, but we already bought HD, which we never use for its cartoonishness and lack of some very basic features. Probably going to move on to something else.
Very disappointed with the change! Way too many ads.
The new version is a downgrade and disappointment. We use to play this game daily for the last few years but now that fun has ended. 1. The change of a light contrast of the white letters to the the blue background has given it a faded hard to distinguish look. 2. It appears that the game-board size is a little smaller. If it was not reduced, the additions of other marquise gives it that feeling of it being smaller. And 3. The constant pop up adds is annoying. The banners before then change should have been sufficient. NOTE: this is the free version so some advertisement is expected, just not this intense. We have purchase versions of word-shaker two years ago but we stilled only play this lite version due to the fact we loves that blue screen look which was not offered in the pay ones. We hope they take these review into consideration and hopefully revert back if enough people seems to share similar opinions. Until then, we will probably only play on occasions as opposed to the everyday playing we used to do.
Deleted the game and downloaded it again. What a shock to see the changes!! Can't believe that words like ren, hol etc are now considered real words. Liked the old version better. This use to be our favorite game but not anymore. The ads are aren't so bad til they freeze up then it's annoying.
Wow, they've really messed up with this update. We just had to erase our review that we wrote a long time ago about how great this game was. We have played it obsessively recently after losing interest a few months ago. After updating, we think we have lost interest forever. The ads are annoying and we're not sure how legit their accepted words are. The ads have turned us from the game. Sad.
The game WAS really great, until you put those stupid ads in the game!! We refuse to pay your $2.99 to take ads off that were never there before. Remember free means FREE! The group that has been playing for years should be grandfathered or something, otherwise you are being extremely disloyal to those players.
By far our favorite game app. Good for any length of downtime. Just like Boggle.

This is a fun way to learn new words. Although most words we'll never use. You can set the time you want to spend, this makes it the perfect game when you only have a minute or two to spend.
This game is so addicting we play it all day long!! All people should download it, it's so fun.
We LOVE this game! Some of the words accepted are a little odd in that they're Scottish or abbreviations, but we've learned lots of new words just by playing. And our Words With Friends scores have benefitted from this. We only wish there was an instant dictionary so we could look up new words without leaving the game.
The word list is extensive. Would be nice if you could select different lexicons. We miss more than 50% of the words because they are extremely rare oddities. We would like to have different lists kinda like house rules, common words, words only found in Webster dictionary, etc. Still, great fun and teaches us new words.
This game is by far more exciting then WWF ! Can't stop playing.

We have had this for a while and absolutely LOVE IT. We are addicted. The ad is not bothersome at all and we love the options for timed, not timed, board size and the ability to submit scores and compete daily. In fact, we love the Wordshaker games so much that we have both paid and free versions of all of them so we can play multiple games at the same and switch back and forth. We can spend hours of enjoyment with Workshaker. If you love word games GET THIS GAME. Never ending word fun. Our go to word games. Have deleted others.
