Our favorite word game, however lately it seems to be full of BUGS. Ads that suddenly pop up partially covering the games screen mid game. Not an ad of the normal sort that comes between rounds or after a win etc. Just a pop up right in front of your game, its very annoying.
This is awesome game all but the adds that pop up. Right when playing covers the hole board so we quite playing.
We love the game, but if the Door Dash ads continue, Ill have to delete, these ads are appearing during play and cover half the screen.
Helps keep the mind sharp after surgery.
Finally, a game where when they say theres no commercials or ads theres not we have downloaded hundreds of games and uninstalled them because we get sick of every time you win a game or do something you have to watch an ad for another game. This one we have not had one ad pop-up and we have played 73 games/rounds.
Been playing this game for a year now would love to have an option thats not charging 10 monthly for no ads.
Level 151 and the game still plays as on day 1 – the adds are the right length to let you know what it is, and after that you can usually stop them. Hopefully that doesnt change or Ill go somewhere else. Good game.
With the most recent Apple upgrade ads cover up the letters during the game making it impossible to play. Please fix because we love the game.
All too many times on our iPhone and iPad does this game gors black. If we turn off our iPhone or iPad to reset, it has no effect on the game and its still black. We enjoy this game a lot, but this black screen is very frustrating. And we never know when Im going to be able to play the game again. Whats with these new ads that are so big they are in the playing field!!! Please get rid of them.
Solid game, latest update introduced cant connect to online services between each round, whatever those are. Very annoying in our commutes with no service.
We love this game. So imagine our surprise when we get a pop up ad in the middle of a game that takes up 2/3 of the screen. We get that its a free game and ads are inevitable, but there has got to be a better way to go about it right.
We have enjoyed this game for a long time. We watch the ads to collect the rewards and even put up with them in between games. But lately Im having drop down ads interrupting our game. Its making it much less enjoyable and interfering with our play. We hate to give up on it, we love word games. The ads though are making us think our time would be better spent elsewhere.
Been playing for a few weeks. Fun game. Theres an ad after each level, but theyre short or you can skip soon. Game had an update and its been glitchy since. Nothing too bad until tonight ads just started popping up while playing, one after the other and they linger and theres no way to click out. Then a few seconds after they end another one pops up. We cant play like this. Ill see if they fix it. Otherwise thats it for us.

Loved this game, but the ad push has become so frequent, last 30 or more seconds per ad, and require 4-5 clicks to clear them. The ads have, unfortunately, now become the game. The paid version to remove ads is monthly, not a one-time charge. Unfortunate.
The game is fun, challenging, and educational. But there is not a single action that is not followed by a commercial or add. Ive started to play the game less because we are frustrated with the amount of commercials. If youre going to put that money, at least keep them under four seconds.
Hate the ton of ads! Should be able to buy/bank with the coins you earn and not just when stuck. Would be a 5 star if it werent for the ads. And if we see a Gossip Harbor ad one more time we will delete this game.
We would give this game 5 stars if not for the DailyWord feature, which invariably has a number of X, V, Y and Z cards. Even if you manage to get the daily word (not likely) you will continue to get dozens of these letters throughout out the rest of the the day in each individual game. Very frustrating, leading us to not want to play. Recent examples of daily words for the week: luxury, dazzle, xylene, eureka, vestige, abject.
A decent game but biased. The origin of the developers is very telling. The word BABU, which is of Indian origin, is accepted. But common English words including countries and states are not accepted. For example, SPAIN, ROMAN, JEW, JAPAN, BABYLON, OZ. But it accepts BABU which is not an English word. This is a bias in a game of English words and spelling. Im at level 199 and we have had at least a dozen rejected words.
We love this game. Challenging, but not frustrating. Lots of fun side quests. We laughed when we made a word having to do with an owl and the owl mascot popped in from the side and waved. Really cute touch. Our one frustration is that we would like to be able to see more of the words we need to fill up the library books. The small list thats available in middle of a round isnt very helpful. Other than that, this game is great. ETA: too many problems with ads. The ads at the top of the levels open up on their own and disrupt the gameplay. Ads that are watched in order to get more letters often crash the entire game and make us lose all the lost words, points, coins, and boosters used in the level before the ad crashes. Game developers are unhelpful in trying to satisfactorily resolve these issues. They just say SORRY, and dont try to do anything to help get lost items back. It feels like we spend more time watching ads (due to constantly needing more letters) than we spend actually playing the game. Its getting really lame.
Normally, this is a fun game. However, the banner ads are now expanding over the game. If this continues, it wont be worth playing anymore.
This game now has ads that cover the game board, completely ruining the playing experience. If this aspect of the game isnt addressed and changed, we (and many others) will quickly be deleting this app.
This is a great game; have enjoyed it for 2 months. Now the ads arent just between games but are popping up while youre playing. In one game, we got 4 pop up ads in less than a minute.
Today, suddenly, pop up ads in the middle of play that block half the screen. No option to remove, have to wait until it goes away. There are plenty of other games without obnoxious pop up ads. See ya.
We understand ads and it used to be reasonable. Ive been playing this game daily for a long time. But now the ads are so frequent and block the top 1/3 of the screen interrupting game play multiple times during a round. If it was a 1 time fee to remove ads we would consider that, but a recurring fee is unreasonable. We will likely delete this game.
This was our favorite word game until today. The ads are popping while Im playing the game! We could tolerate the ads in between games, but absolutely not while Im playing. So disappointing, we wont be playing anymore.
Initially enjoyed the game with many challenges in achieving goals and we dont mind the ad in between but when they pop up during a play it is too irritating. Fun while it lasted.
We understand that ads are needed for funding however when that becomes more dominant than the game, you have sold out. Ads that last several minutes, ads that wont let you proceed causing you to close the game and now ads that pop up during the middle of the game AND wont let you continue. We tried closing the game and going back to it but nopethe ad came back. Bye! We had enjoyed the game.
We really like this game. But, for the last 2 days, a pop up ad for home improvement pops up in the corner. Italics about every 45 seconds and lasts for about 4 seconds. We uninstalled the app, restarted our phone, but it did no good. Ill try again in a week or so. Cant play it this way.
We love this game. Im a word person, so Im pretty addicted. BUT the ads are getting ridiculous. There are a few other games that advertise on this one where it has a countdown clock of 45 seconds and then an X appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Youd think that would mean you could click it and move on to another screen but youd be wrong. You click it and it says if you dont continue watching the ad you will forfeit the reward, the reward being to continue playing the game. You have to watch the same lame video ad 2-3 times through, wasting 2-3 minutes. Honestly, these ads make us WAY less likely to download the games being advertised. Its a Bingo one and Candy Crush. Keep the ads short and interesting and youre more likely to get players to actually download the games or buy the products. The game itself is great, but the ads are ruining it. If it continues Ill delete the games.
We enjoy the word games, however, after each round, there are ads that last longer than it took to play the round. Will be deleting the app.
We personally like to keep a list of lost words that we need to find and inscribe to get the bonus coins/prize. After finding the final words to complete the Baked Goods book for 1200 coins, we open to inscribe the words and see that BUN and CHALLAH were no longer inscribed from previous games. We open a chat with tech support and honestly the back and forth was a complete waste of time. The issue wasnt resolved. Our time AND money now wasted. We have been enjoying the game until now. Im serious about our game coins/point and our actual money ($4.99) we spend to buy more.
Love the game, and we accept that required ads are a thing. But they have only 1-2 sponsors (mainly some ridiculous gossip harbor mess with the WORST repetitive ads). If youre going to sell to people put the effort in to find reputable sponsors that will actually match your audience. Im over the game because these ads are SO irrelevant and repetitive its not worth it.
We play it every day. We love this game. No Wi-Fi needed so. We can play any where. Its free. No commercial. Easy to play. Very relaxing.
We dont mind paying to remove ads if we really enjoy a game, and we like this game, so we paid to remove them, at least thats what we thought. Turns out its only for 30 DAYS. So the developers want $120 a year! Ridiculously expensive. If you want to charge a monthly fee, make it reasonable. Nope, you chose greed. But it is a fun and nicely developed game, if you dont mind being ripped off. Even the ads wouldnt be so bad if it didnt disrupt the actual game play soundsbut they do so you either have no sound or you have to restart the app.
We previously submitted a review complaining about the ads. We were impressed as the developers sent an email explaining their reasoning and indicating that they made improvements. We redownloaded the game and love it. Great improvement. We did purchased no ads and now only get ads when we choose to.

Just a Fun game That doesn't stress us out, But makes us think.
Finally a realistic game that its not only challenging but fun. You win coins as you move up the ladder of winners. The only downside is there a couple of ads for exercising and some of us have trouble gaining weight so we dont need any weight loss.ads. This is one game that you will spend hours and lose track of time in the ads are not long love the game.
Great Game we learned so much new words we had know idea were a thing definitely tuned up our vocabulary all around Great game love to play it.
We would give this 5 stars, but the crashes are mind numbing. They happen just as Ive used up a tool to complete a difficult word and then dont get credit. This happens more times than we can count.
We love the game. We keep seeing the Alaskan Salmon and Litter Robot ads over and over. Hardly ever something else. Its monotonous.
This is the absolute best word game we have found online. There are so many ways to challenge yourself and get rewards, and it has everchanging goals to achieve. The only drawback is that the ad cycle is a pitched battle among the same 3-4-5 or more natural dog food makers, healthy people food preparers and silky breathable last chance pants, shorts it is monotonous, but the $9.99 pricetag PER MONTH to remove this repetitive ad cycle is excessive.
This game is fun, but it is too expensive. It is pretty mediocre ch unplayable without removing the ads, and we think that $10/month is too expensive.
The game starts out fun and has great challenges, but the higher you get the more the game glitches. This is especially true on the very hard levels. Also, even if you pay for no ads, there is always a ribbon across the top flashing ads for other games. Started out fun and now its disappointing.
Odd background ads running while using app. Audio will play for a second or two before it turns off. Almost as if someone forgot to mute themselves. Battery also drains quickly when playing.
As cool as this game is, its annoying when we happen to lose the WiFi signal , we pass the level and meet the challenges and the stars accumulate in the chest but not the leaderboard. In our previous play, we passed 3 levels that accurate in the chest, but not the leaderboard. How does it accumulate in one area but not the other.
We found the word Tuesday and it didnt accept it.
