If you like XCOM, youll rock with this.

Based on our knowledge of Xenowerk Tactics, we can say that it is a fun and engaging game. The gameplay is a combination of strategy and action, which makes it exciting and challenging. The game has good graphics, and the sound effects and music are immersive. In terms of new features, it would be great if the developers could add more levels, characters, and weapons. It would also be interesting if they could add a multiplayer mode or some sort of co-op gameplay. Overall, we think Xenowerk Tactics is a good game that is worth playing, and we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys strategy and action games. And yall should remove the purchase future for the game because it will make the game better.. Thanks!

Its just extraction but mobile.

Whenever you send your units out to the island for a mission it spawns random side quests you can do along the way or just do those to get the specific resources you need. The randomness of quests and encounters you have is so fun to us and keeps us coming back. Plus we love having a home base and units to upgrade and level up. Absolutely love this game.

Very fun game. Wish there was a very easy mode for casuals like us. Like X-COM but RTS for combat. 2 Marines + 1 Ranger makes combat easier as well.

This plays like a fun board game, but without all the setup. We highly recommend this game, especially if you enjoy board gamesand if you dont youll still find it entertaining.

Great game. Tons of fun. Im gonna stay up way too late tonight.

Honestly this is a good game overall but it cut short for being amazing. For one the 3 main story lines are more favored to xeno from being 5% every day. We understand more wise but to rush other main storylines you have to rush certain parts and with the way the exp is given grinding certain areas is impossible because how low exp is given in the beginning areas. We understand that we need to play a different way but our way is to grind characters incase things go south which happens often. We feel like a new game plus will bring more to the game and make it for enjoyable. We envision being 3 ops over one from each solider/ranger/scientists and nerf them to be level 2 or 3 Cuase the first 3 maps are just drags to get through and with this more people can play the later maps before game over without the exploration mode to get most of the main missions. Sorry for this long post.

The concept here is fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect, and there is an outline of some potentially great game mechanics here. Unfortunately the mechanics aren’t all that well fleshed out though, leaving the game feeling rushed and half finished. What the game needs? More interesting combat. More depth to exploration. Loot… Like finding gear and weapons which could be distributed among your operators. The characters progression, seems extremely limited with only allowing upgrading weapons and suits a couple times, with that limited selection being of gear locked in to each of only 3 classes. The exposure mechanic is brilliant, but so little is done with it. The mutations could have been much more interesting and provided much greater utility… But 90% percent of the possible mutations are boring to the point of being entirely unremarkable. It needs cybernetics, better mutations, more dramatic effects of trauma and horror, more levels, more troops, an arsenal of weapons and gear that can be equipped on units. Tap to set destination, swipe through enemies to que targets, to fire at while moving. Add some verticality to levels, along with strategic locations, tracking. So much could be done here to flesh this world out and make this into a really impressive game. But unfortunately it just an empty shell of would could have been. We’re giving it four stars to encourage the developers to revisit this concept and do something better.

Ok so we love this game and we never write reviews! As others have said – like an RTS plus XCOM. Also- So much better to just pay up front rather than be scrooged for money all the time – we HATE THAT! But – needs more variation. Skill trees? Character classes? Ability to build your own? All would be easy to implement within the current framework. Otherwise loving it.

If you want to test the waters they let you in for free with plenty of time to check it out before you buy. Im not a big fan of endless shooters which is pretty much the formula of the original Xenowerk game but by adding some lite team tactics and a little more story elements we founded it an inventive reuse of their existing asset to create something that feels new. We give it four out of five just because its still the endless shooter but we do appreciate that they give it to you in small doses and let you decide how much more you want to do. We found the random elements of loot, ambush, and events a nice change of pace. Along with developing your team and tackling certain tasks through the emails in the command center this feels much more like the games we enjoy. We Probably wont sink 7 bucks into it at this time although its tempting just because we like what these guys do. Look forward to another episode of Space Marshals but till then keep up the good work Pixelbite.

This is by far one of the best games we played. The story is inducing and we dont know about the other guy saying its scawy becauws of a timer but in our opinion that makes you reconsider every move you do. The three endings you can get makes it all the more worthwhile. We hope the game gets updated more so that for example enemies can attack your base or something more engaging.

We thought we found a game that would keep us busy for a while… But after around day 36 it forces you to Game Over. We got about 12 hours of play out of it so not too bad… And there were no Ads to sit through.. But a forced Game Over (about half way through exploring the map) wasnt a welcome surprise. 5/5 if it let you just play the whole campaign, or at least let you uncover the whole map… Or let you max level your troops…

I, too, got tired of the game. Even in easiest mode, the "plot" is quickly lost and interest flagged. The game is simply unbalanced and there is no satisfaction that comes from doing mission-after-mission. We tried to like the game, but finally gave it up. Santa.

Game just loads with those white loading dots over and over cannot play game deleting this trash.

This is awesome, this game lends itsself to in app purchases but we have some serious developpers here. We feel this is worth every penny. Love the design and John Carpenter style soundtrack.

This squad based tactical game played in its manageable chunks is what we were looking for to fill those small gaps in our busy schedule. We’ve read a couple of reviews that rate it down because they say its to easy, which is madness if you want to make it harder on yourself take only rookies into the field, dont level your equipment or run 3 of the same class in a mission, placing self imposed limitations will make the game plenty hard, and which what their is to manage at your base camp its just deep enough satisfy us without being ridiculous. Good job!

Im happy to pay $7 to avoid getting nickeled and dimed to $50 w in game purchases. We have trouble finding games that hold our interest. We mostly buy them to kill time on flights and while exercising so a good game is worth its kilobytes in gold. This one is the best purchase we’ve made this year. Id pay $40 for another this good in a heart beat.

We’ve been waiting for a fun game on the iPad for a long time. Loooook no further this game is awesome. Played all 3 ways to win and so much fun. Would love to buy additional missions or the next version of this game! Great work Dev team.

Its like a roller coaster ride that ends about half way down the slope. Wish there was an endless mode that the game would end when you wanted it to. Great gameplay though.

Its the same handful of maps and missions. Not much content for the price point. Im pretty underwhelmed.

This is such and amazing game one of the best to be honest. We have played quite a couple of games and none compare to this style. We just got this game just one day ago and to our surprise it is amazing we usually dont write reviews for games because they just dont seem to be entertaining. Now we have an idea for a game why not make it like this game but in first person, co-op, open world, you could play with your friends. You start off either in a helicopter to the island either connect with your friends from the beginning or solo and connect with other players you have a town like the game and recruit people like in the game but you could switch to them you have abilities according to the person your playing take missions and be able to take other players or npc. We got more but it would take a while to describe.

The game is fun to play and theres no in app purchases, what we dont get is – why make the game so modeled after games that do want you to buy resources? By the fourth time you try to upgrade a structure, the cost is so high in rare resources that the game time ends way before we have enough. Its not pay to win, we own it, why have so much grinding? And the timer? A mode where we dont have to rush to play the game because the game is on a timer would be noce.

Is there a minimap? Or an option or toggle for one?

It runs smooth, it feels good, no micro transaction BS, its challenging on later missions, and its fun! More games like this please.

This game is true console quality, but uses the power of a touch screen to its full advantage. We were amazed at how polished and exciting this game was just from the very beginning. And absolutely no microtransactions!!, no annoying pop ups, no +gems. Just a game thats made for you to have fun. To all at pixelbite, thanks for making amazing games and not selling your soul like the other 99% of the app store.

Bought this game strictly for the single player offline feature, and really enjoying it so far. No in app purchases also, always a plus for me.

Im more of a passive player, so we wish we could just send our little soldiers off to different locations at a time which would allow us to play easier but great game non-the less.

This seems like the foundation of a great game. The biggest problem is that its way too easy and you dont have a lot to do in combat. When you enter combat levels you pretty much just guide your squad around with double clicks and then they blast everything thats coming at them. You occasionally move them away from a telegraphed aoe attack, move an injured member to the back, or trigger a special ability. The most important thing in combat appears to be to make sure your guys are stopped when somethings coming at them because they wont shoot on the move and almost everything you encounter is faster then you. Thats about it at this point. Im only probably half way through and its possible combat will develop further, but we dont really see how. Theres no cover, high ground or even incentive to move you troops individually. We hope this can be addressed since the game seems like it should be a blast based on the travel system, base management etc. It would be nice if there was more choice and resource scarcity in character and base developement.

Fun game, finished it in about 7hrs, but after 2-3 hours there weren’t really any new dimensions to the game. No real research, no variability to the strategy. Its still a solid long flight airplane game, but the core engine is so awesome the game felt well below its potential and got repetitive quickly.

Really not like x-com. Tactically, it just seems lacking and the missions seem redundant. Lost interest after an hour.

We bought after reading the reviews. It is a lot of fun. We wouldnt say its worth $7 but its really good especially if you like the genre but…. We started it up and our data got wiped. All our people ded. And have to restart from scratch. Sad days man. We were really into the game too and was super excited since we just started setting up huge expeditions traveling all over the map. Super disappointed this happened. Super sad.

Bought the game about 5 days ago. Play it a little before bed each night. And every time we log back in our characters are all dead and have to restart for no reason whatsoever. Game seems it could be fun but this is silly. Waste of time.
