Community Insight:

We really do like this game. It's our secret addiction. Don't judge us. This game helps us decompress after a long stressful day. Recommended for anyone.

We do love this game. It takes a matching game and mixes it with food to make it a fun game. We love cooking and doing the chef thing so this game is excellent for us.

It's a really and for us o loovvveeee a game it's really…well im really picky but this is a very good game.

When we first downloaded this game, we though it was going to be more of a game for kids than adults. Boy was we wrong! It takes us awhile to get past some levels now sometimes. That makes us feel like we do when we play Candy Crush Saga. We wonder why that game has to be so relentlessly hard, but we like this game. Very challenging.

Love this game. Made it to 160 wanting to continue. Hurry up guys.

Fun game, nice graphics and theme, works well, never have glitches or crashing errors. A favorite.

Good to pass the time!! Addictive but can be expensive.

We love playing this game especially since it has to do with food because we are a chef. We have never had a probably with it either. Even greater is that the lives charge faster than any other game we've played.

The game is great! There are a lot of levels so we'll be occupied with it for a while. The setback for the game is playing it on two different devices and syncing it to Facebook doesn't achieve the same level. On our iPad, we're on level 51 but on our phone we're on level 42. Other than than the game is interesting.

We really enjoy the different levels, because they are just challenging enough to be fun without being too frustrating.

We like how the puzzles are different on each level it keeps it interesting.

Fun game. Good way to pass the time.

Please make more levels beyond 160!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a fun game! We especially enjoy the separate seasonal/holiday games that pop up sometimes. We'd like more of them.

We have no problems with this game. Most of the half brick games we get have been a lot of fun and this is no exception. We gave up on Candy Crush a while ago. We got bored. But The chef changes up a lot and we find it challenging. We do enjoy the occasional hint too. That helps. :-).

We've been waiting to go beyond level 160 for weeks! Otherwise it's a fun games. Please update.

We like that we can play without having to ask friends for lives. We love it and our kiddos enjoy playing.

This game is a lot of fun! We love that you don't have to have friends to play it, we hate having to bother our friends so stuff to move on. Only problem we've had so far is not enough levels. We've gotten to level 160 and there's nothing to go to from there. Will keep waiting g for more.

This is a cute little game with different types of challenges in each level.

We enjoy this game very much; however we do not enjoy that the 6th day bonus of 20 gold coins has been thrice robbed from us and resets on day 1. Truly frustrating! Also please add more levels and allow the pay-for-2-hour play to be available for more than just holiday. Thanks.

Great graphics. But after first scenery too much luck needed and too much greed provided.

It's a nice game but there are better ones out there in the market. And guys, please get over a four year old fruity title.

Really enjoyed this game until the last update made it crash anytime you try to play. Now with the update everything that we did (levels, achievements, etc) is all gone. We were at level 80 something before the crash. Already deleted it.

Level 149 is stupid! Spend hours can't beat it without buying special items from the store! Screw the game and people behind it!!! Waste of Time.

We updated the game on smartphone but it not have Snowfall level and Santa's gift. We have been used iPhone 5. Please fix.

We like the game and have reached level 160 (without in app purchases) but it took a long time. We're finally pretty good at it and now we've reached the end? There was no notice or way of knowing other than not advancing to the next level. It doesn't say that you've beaten the game so, is there more? We liked the Christmas side game and gained a lot of bonuses to help us go further. We'd keep playing if there was another side game until more levels are added.

We enjoy the game. The updates are fun, Halloween, and Christmas, but we are READY for the next update. When.

We are surprised that the ratings are so low. We dont have the issues others have BUT the X-Mas dig scratch card doesn't give us our money, potions and other bonuses. Please fix.

The game was ok until we updated it this morning. Now we cannot open it anymore. Please fix.

The game has potential but if the only way to get through to higher levels is to buy in game currency then it's not worth it. We have been stuck on one level for over a week tonight we had enough and now am going to delete the game and never look back. Check out there other games their cool but this one is utter CRAP.

This game has potential, but it's trapped behind a pay-wall. We've tried to stay patient with it, but our experience just now at level 63 was too much. You rely entirely on luck or power-ups at this stage, and the power ups are expensive and temporary. Re-structure, as we would gladly pay $5 upfront rather than micro transactions every few levels.

Why should we invest in an app that turns off after you pay for a boost and there is NO way we would send this or invite a friend to play a bug ridden game like this fix the bugs The X-mas game is as bug ridden as the main game and your 20 coin face book thing is BULL.

This app said that it would send us 999,999,999 coins if we go into the game but when we did it, it didn't give us our coins,… This game is a rip off.

Fun enough game, but the new update broke it. Like others, cannot launch due to crash on start up since update. Sigh. Stupid needless holiday updates.

We had been connected on Facebook and both our phone and computer were at that same level and we were happy with that. We had to get a new phone and when we went to play it had shot be back over 50 levels. We connected to Facebook and nothing changed. It took a lot of time and effort to make it to level 118, and to be shot back to level 56 makes us frustrated. They really need to work on syncing the games together. Plus when you fail a level and finally get it after what feels like a million tries it just says that you finally got it after 8. Seriously? Why does it need to be 8, we already know it's taken forever. No need to remind us. Nice game, when it works but there is a lot of room for improvement.

We've been playing this for awhile and it's a fun game but with the early Dec update it froze and we had to delete and reload. Connected with Facebook and we thought our progress would be restored. Nope.

Levels are designed to be impossible without buying (with real money) in game currency. Typical rip off model. Add a premium model and it may get traction, as it is now only the ignorant or uninitiated will stick with this. Have a look at fishdom for a fair match three that you buy ONCE. Love that you may try a level 20 times or 40 and the condescending game developers always message that it only took 8 tries as if you've forgotten it took so many attempts to make it through the level.

We updated this game. Now it won't open.

Christmas update took out entire game. Halfbrick studios get it together, every update takes another game away. Candy Crush and now Yes Chef crash constantly.

We liked this game but after updating it, now it won't open…it immediately crashes.

Are there any levels after 160 because we beat it over and over… We love this game update please.

Honestly, a great game that'll keep you entertained. It's fun, and addicting. It's very alike to candy crush, but the differences from candy crush to this game are good. Love it.

The tried-and-true grid matching gameplay inspired by Shariki (or more relevantly, Candy Crush and Bejeweled) has not lost its luster and continues to thrive as new features and innovations are added. We are not putting the game down for its similarities to Candy Crush, as that would not be fair nor relevant; this is a review on this game and this game only. Halfbrick's amazing art department has not lost their touch with the great visuals that Yes Chef! Offers, nor the programming side for offering consistent fluidity throughout the game (although the introduction felt somewhat tedious and hand-holding). However, what lost us within the minute we began playing was its overuse of outside features, more specifically the Energy feature. Why punish players for doing a sub-par job by limiting their gameplay time, effectively either making them lose interest or shell out money for a gameplay experience they could find in another app for free? We noticed on the Halfbrick blog that the Energy feature is being cut from their other titles due to complaints; let this be another game to have this feature cut. As closure, we ask you, Halfbrick Studios, why should a consumer pick your game to play over another? What new features can you bring to the table (pun unintended) that separates you from other grid-matching titles? We hope Halfbrick takes this review into consideration so they can improve the game and bring more people to explore the beautiful world they have crafted. -Greg Duarte.

Got it to get fruit ninja perks. Fun to play! But we wish the "5 more moves" button weren't right in the middle of the screen after a fail. We've hit it 4 times accidentally and wasted 80 coins. Or maybe put an extra prompt to continue? Thanks.

Got this game for some fruit ninja perks, a bit like candy crush with medals granted for three stars. We tend to spend more time on a level trying to achieve the three stars than to just pass it. Overall a decent download.

Some moron designed it. Sooooo annoying. There is no way to skip the jibber jabber of the chef…..got annoyed when the chef in 3 level.

We like challenges where you must think ahead to line up food to get through a level….but… Level 65 requires no skill. You can't get 5 in a row and the screen constantly refreshes because it is out of moves. We've been stuck here for a week, we refuse to spend money on it and we are done with this game.

A candy crush clone made intentionally difficult so you can buy your way through the puzzles and end up paying much more than any game is worth.

We used to love always playing this game. But since the update, it won't even open. It crashes every time we launch it and we're not linked to Facebook so we can't play at all. Please fix this so we can play the game again.

This is the worst most frustrating game we've ever played.

We love this game so much we're on lv 100.
