Over the time we have played this game, we became really attached to the characters and the story itself. The storytelling is amazing, and had us waiting for more stamina. Also, a great idea with the character cards, it was a pleasant bonus! The riddles in the game may be difficult. Personally we got stuck on the one with the code and the numbers. Translation is also a little off at times, but it didnt greatly impact the game. We are really glad we have played this game, wonderful experience!
We’ve only recently taken an interest in SEECs games, but our god do they never disappoint. We absolutely loved the storyline and characters in yostume god, and tHE PLOT TWIST!!! We literally cant even begin to describe the amount of tears rolling down our face as we were going thru the rest of the game and everything started making sense. Im a sucker for sad stories and this game blew it out of the park. Imigos the best omg hes so funny though it was a bit tricky at times, we used a walkthru to help us out which def made it better. Translation is shaky at times but still works enough to get the ideas across. And we must admit it was testing our patience a bit with the stamina bit, however we liked it better than the ticket functions used in other SEEC games, since you can play more thruout the day instead of a small number. Anyways, we genuinely hope we never forget this story, since its just that sweet thanks for your work yet again SEEC!!
So we’ve been a fan of the SEEC company for a while now and we love to play mystery games with storylines and where you can make choices that affect the ending so these games they’ve made are just perfect! Ofc they can be hard at times but we usually look up a walkthrough if we truly can’t solve something. The story and plot twist left us in awe and we for real got emotional during the game And most of the games they make do have unique storylines and origins which make them even more interesting to read about. Truly loved it and we hope to see more unique games by them in the future!
This game is so sad, but so wonderfully heartwarming as well. This is our new favorite seec game even over the Prison Boys. Well done!
We REALLY DO RECOMMEND this game Two years ago, we have played this game in Chinese version during our trip in Japan for several days. That was a wonderful memory but in complex feeling. We think about the game a lot while visiting those beautiful landscapes which were almost the same as those in the story based on the same culture. It is wonderful that the English version can be found nowadays since we have changed our iOS language system. The second play is still impressive even after these several years, the story still touches us so much. We confess that the game is a little bit difficult for us but it doesnt matter, because missing this story and the characters would be really such regrets… If one day we have opportunity to learn Japanese, we will be willing to play this game in Japanese for third time or even fourth time and so on…
The story is really impactful with lots of possible outcomes, but the English translation can be pretty bad and distracting. There are lots of misspelled words, nonsensical sentences, and awkward dialogue, but if you ignore those the art and writing more than make up for it.
We downloaded this because of other games we’ve played by these creators such as The Prison Boys and Tasokare Hotel. They were difficult but not difficult enough to not be able to figure out. We found that this game was too difficult for us to figure out. While if we took a bit more time to look around in the other games Id figure it out, this game was too difficult. We liked the characters and the stories for the length that we played it but due to the difficulty we gave up.
SEEC inc is a favorite producer of ours. We love this game and the Shinto culture surrounding it. Japanese mythology is always interesting and the game itself has satisfying game play. We like to consider myself good at puzzle games but this game was too hard for us. A lot of the puzzles dont translate well in English and we couldnt solve them without a walkthrough. Something that we suggest to to put an answer key after watching an ad or something similar like the answer key in Tasokare Hotel.
Love love LOVE this game so much we havent even finished the entire thing yet (just gotten one ending so far) but Im getting pretty frustrated. To get the ending we want we have to go back to the first chapter and change one of our choices but its telling us we dont have the stamina we need and we need to buy more, when we literally have more than enough to play the chapter. Im getting pretty annoyed and we feel like its just trying to force us to make an in app purchase that we dont need so they can get money. But we literally wont play again and undownload it if thats what it is.
We really enjoyed playing this game, and worked hard to get all the endings, but there are some puzzles where they didnt translate everything well enough and we just had to look up the solution because we dont read Japanese.
Its a great game but lately today we been playing for a few hours now and when we tried to play a new chapter the game closes on us every time we try to play . We tried uninstall and reinstall but it didnt work please fix it so we can enjoy the rest of the game. We were on the effigy chapter before it started to act up. Thanks for the great game.
Can someone tell us how to put the two pieces of the note together because it wont let us!?!
The clues need better translations, particularly the ones involving Japanese name and number puns. But it is a very beautiful and F2P friendly game with a lot of replay value. The music and art are great and suit the atmosphere, and the game has an intriguing and well-written story. It is an excellent game for its genre despite its platform limitations. We really dislike the ads, but the platinum set looks really nice and is quite the bargain, so we will consider purchasing it.
Im a huge fan of Tasokare Hotel and The Prison Boys, so we didnt hesitate to download this game the moment we heard of it. Yotsume God has a similar gameplay as the aforementioned two, and SEEC is so far doing an amazing job with the story and gameplay. Our only problem is… Its too hard LOL. There are hidden items and difficult puzzles involved that we would never dream of solving without a walkthrough. And even with a walkthrough, we still struggle to understand how the solutions to these puzzles came to be. The constant advertisements every time we leave the game and come back are also annoying, but it can be remedied with a $1.99 purchase. If you find the overall story is an impactful and wish to experience more, Id recommend purchasing the $8.99(?) pack that comes with extra features such as more stories, unlimited stamina for uninterrupted reading, and advertisement removal.
It seems like it would be fun, but there is an unclosable ad over half of the advance button. We accidentally pressed it 3 times in the first stage alone. That wouldnt have been terrible but then closing the window that pops up and going back to the app makes you watch another ad for at least 5 seconds.
The ads are literally placed over the tap button you need to press to advance. We cant tap it without accidentally clicking on the ad, which interrupts the game. Its virtually unplayable.
We love this game, and really wanted to buy the premium package so we could get all the endings quicker. However, Im having a hard time buying it. It says our purchase was successful, but we have gotten none of the in game items. We click the history button and it says we bought it, but it hasnt taken any of our money. Great game, but we’re hoping this can get fixed.
