Could you survive the Zombie Apocalypse?
Build your character and fight your way out of a zombie-filled city to save your sister in this text-based horror fiction story. Choose to be a soldier, athlete, carpenter, minister, or scientist. Play as male or female, gay or straight, and even find romance in the Zombie Apocalypse. Gather supplies and weapons while avoiding the military, bandits, and living dead. Your choices alone control the story.
Zombie Exodus includes Parts 1 and 2 for free, in which you search for your sister as the city deals with the viral outbreak turning the living into zombies. Parts 3-5 are optional additions in which you survive in the aftermath of the outbreak. Meet other survivors, scavenge for food and supplies, and make moral decisions affecting your life in the apocalypse. The full game has 750,000 words, 9 unique endings, 25 achievements, and a myriad of paths to play.

This game is really good. We like the story, and how every decision u make is crucial for survival. We like to use our imagination to put myself in the characters shoes and please trust this game is imagination fuel 10 out of 10 from me.
It is great to find games that are accessible and works with voiceover. This is a wonderful game, if you enjoy reading books and make decisions that affect the character. This is why we purchase the ad free version. However, it seems to only unlock one chapter at a time. This is why we would like to suggest that therapy a full a log made available to players. Thank you and keep up the great work and making this app accessible to all players.
Incredibly engaging game. Great characters, great story and intrigue. Keeps you constantly glued to whats happening. Good personal expression. Felt like our choices really effected things and mattered. Loved having personal attributes but felt they didnt really have a very big impact. However, abrupt horrible ending. Felt like a complete switch up. Almost like okay your done by now we dont care anymore. Still definitely worth playing and paying for.
At beginning of chapter 3 the cathedral whenever we choose the two things we uprgade it bugs out and removes the continue button and we cannot progress, pls help.
We couldnt believe how much we would like this novel. It was intense. Made us feel as if we were there. Incredible. The courage of the group, the deaths, the betrayal was all heart wrenching. This book was better than any zombie movie we’ve ever seen. Judging by the incredibly written storyline, the characters, and the overall plot of the story we could tell the developers of this game very intelligent people Im very creative.
We love playing these games we’ve honestly spent hours just playing we wish the second one (safe haven) had more parts after you get stuck on the mountain but we understand yall need time cant wait for it.
We Dont know how long it took to create this game but it is really detailed so we would assume it would take a while. This game is definitely worth the 8$ to play.

Although this game may be quite lengthy. It by far is QUITE! The way to pass the time. With, entertainment, adventure, extreame! Thrills… And is most definitely worth each an every last cent. By far! One of the best accessible games we’ve played since the loss of our vision. So in summation, LOVED it. Shining review.
We loved reading this on our breaks from work and before bed. We loved having the ability to customize our story and make choices that greatly impacted the outcome. We wish there was a way to backtrack mid game so we could venture other options without having to finish or start from the beginning. But overall amazing and a great read!
Something about the church as your homebase makes this story so much more enthralling.
How is this guy not the next J.R.R. Tolkien? This is literally one of the best things we’ve ever read… And we got to be the main character.
It was so good we enjoyed the whole ride. Once we started we didnt want to put it down we wanted to finish our characters struggle and see where it all led to. We definitely recommend this game, we feel like this is where the tell tale games was trying for but u guys excuted much better we always felt invested in the characters and their stories.
We have read this story a few times over the years. It is one of the best interactive fiction stories we have ever read and will continue to read in the years to come!

First time we played this, we were 13 but couldnt get far into the story due to pay walls. As an adult we managed to cross paths with this game again and now we were capable of playing the game in its entirety and we are SO glad that we could. This Choose Your Own Adventure is extremely captivating, and makes us feel like a kid again wondering what we would do if at this moment, zombies started roaming the Earth. The characters are realistic, the dialogue isnt cheesy, very few moments where it becomes unrealistic in terms of human capability. This game alone has rekindled our creativity spark and we cant stop thinking about building our own world and making an interactive story or game similar to this, and man, just absolutely love this game. We cant even appropriately review this game, zombies are like a special interest to us and this is really the only interactive story that puts you in a zombie apocalypse.
The best game we’ve found. We played for three days and finished it. We NEED MORE. We hope we continue the story or find a different perspective. However there were things that never got tied up loose ends. Is Mindy dead? What about the dreams throughout? Great game great story to need to produce MORE.

This is the cream of the crop when it comes to text based zombie games. We got so invested in these characters! This is coming from a guy who hates reading too. This game is incredible. The paywall is a tad annoying but we feel like it was money well spent (its $6 USD total. First two parts free, last three paid). We say you should just dive headfirst into this game. No second thoughts. Needless to say, we will be getting the sequel. Btw, we got ending 4 :)
We truly love the game, the first part and second part was a fun and exciting journey and we really wish we could buy the third chapter to resume the gameplay and continue the adventure. Overall is a fun and truly intriguing game where it makes you feel like youre part of the adventures.

Im unlike a lot of the other reviewers in that we really enjoy reading. This include other video games as well, as Im a big fan of the Visual Novel genre. Danganronpa, DDLC, Fate, Steins;Gate, Junipers Knot, etc. Theyre all fantastic games. We were worried about how well this story would keep us interested though, as there are few visual accompaniments to go with the reading, but it turned out to be one of the best pieces of video game storytelling that we’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. We’ve played through the game numerous times on Steam and will continue to play it over and over through this app.
This is the first time we’ve played a role game like this. We really enjoyed it! It was worth the money considering the entertainment factor. Our character died a few times, but it really makes you rethink your possible steps. Some of the choices are hard to reason out: we really liked that because it was realistic in a live or die environment. This reads like a book that you dont want to put down. We look forward to future apps from this team!
We’ve always loved choose your own adventure books. Combine our love for the zombie post apocalyptic genre and a convenient medium like a smart phone app, and you have pure entertainment. We look forward to getting home to pick up where we left off.
This game is great and fun! We played through this game entirely and felt like we were really there! We think more pictures could make the game more eerie though.
The story line is so gripping! Any second your afraid you could get infected, shot, or mutilated (and sometimes you do). Also the fact that there are many different options. We just went down one path of one path of one path. The complexity is amazing and we cant wait to explore more of the game.
Well as you can already tell by the title of our review we have a problem with the game well we think that we have to pay to early in the game we think we should pay for the rest of the game after chapter 5.
We have load of the books In this series and at the moment we feel that Exodus has the most depth and ownership of characters and relationships.

This is an app we use pretty much everyday, the story is very compelling, actual choices impacts, etc. This is something we recommend very much to others and should try it yourself Be sure to play Zombie Exodus Safe Haven if ya want more.
We just finished part III and it is asking us to save our game. Unfortunately, there is no place to record our name or even a button to hit to save it. Im very frustrated! We have paid $ and it seems like the only way to play is if we go back to the beginning. The game was a lot of fun up until this point.
We played this game a year ago and gladly came back to play it. Our issue is that we did in fact purchase the whole game as evidence by the fact we have saved chapters under our email account. Its infuriating to see the same restoration box and confusing add to why it wont let us play all chapters.
We love it but having to pay more than once to play is just dumb. Fun to play not free to play. Each chapter requires a 2$ fee.
We dont mind supporting developers, and paid $1.99 thinking this would be all until we realized we would have to pay for every chapter $1.99. We didnt even know how many chapters there are and have not read further. Very disappointed. Plus ads on the bottom. If you dont want ads another $1.99. Little pricey considering we’ve read a bunch of text based games/stories which are more forthright in their pricing strategy and way cheaper. Another thing bothering us. Im female. It seems Im a male throughout. Why even give us the option right bro. Lots is speeling (lol) mistakes. Makes it, not so polished.
The story is good and the game is fun but we strongly feel that the developer is a bit greedy. A similar game like this is usually priced around $2 – $5 max, paying 2 bucks for every chapter is kinda ridiculous. A mobile text adventure game should not cost so much. Love the game otherwise.
The best game we have ever played the game just feels like Im legitimately in a zombie apocalypse. When we first started the game we wanted our character to be like us strong and kind as the game progressed and our choices reflected our characteristics as morale started dropping and people started dying and raids zombie attacks we felt myself changing our responses and actions as if Im in the game. That being said this is the best we have ever played.
We enjoyed the story as we read it, but paying at every Whats Next? Or every major shift of scenery part of the game seems unnecessary? It took the life of the story away when we were just getting excited for whats next that we would have to pay. Why not make the app one full price instead of stringing people out and making them pay more.
You get through parts 1 and 2 and then get to part three and you have to buy it to go on. So its not really free.
We hate reading (really hate it) but we’ve had 3 phones over the last 3 years and Ives downloaded this app on all of them, we’ve played the story countless times and we always spot something we’ve never seen before in the story. This app is the only thing we can think of that’s entertaining and engaging. This is the only thing we’ll read over and over. We’ve had other apps and such but they didn’t last a week we’ve had Zombie Exodus on our phone for years and just about every day before bed we’ll play through more of it and if we finish the storyline, we’ll restart and go for another ending or try different options. In conclusion we love this application and will support it and play it every day. Thanks for reading our honest review.
This game is a story that will have you second guess every choice you make. You can play as a stone cold survivor, a heroic leader, or something in between. It’s worth the $6.00 for the other chapters. The story isn’t too long or too short. Bravo to the developers and writers of this masterpiece. Wish there was a sequel but it’s probably a good thing there isn’t.
This is great for readers and people who has common sense we got lost in this more please we love it.

We were unsure what to think of this app when we first started playing. It didn’t take long for us to stare at the choices on screen and wonder what would be the best option. Is this right? Or should we choose that instead? Watching the story unfold as we manipulated the character, questioning our every action and wondering if I’d make it to the next chapter. Even those of you who aren’t "readers" will find this app well worth the playtime. Definitely recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyed this CoG. The characters are interesting and fun to interact with and the progression of the story feels great. We usually felt like the action we wanted to take was available to us and there were only a few times when the results didn’t make much sense. We think this is one of the longer CoG’s as we were able to play for multiple hours over a few days. All said, this one is worth your time and money!

We loved this game from the very first moment we played it. Although we felt that some of the consequences of our actions were lackluster or unrealistic, the plot, characters and just the way the story flowed in general kept us going on through and later back to find the different paths.
Awesome game love the way it flow through making you own decisions for your life and for you fellow friends just excellent have followed this game since it came out and now cant wait for a sequel to this awesome game!!! Keeping up the hard work but why change the artwork on the page looks so wrong!! The old one was better plz go back to the old one.
