Solid game and love the art style. The choose your own adventure aspect is pretty cool, and warrants another play through after your original one. The story is somewhat linear, though you choices can bring about a couple of different outcomes, but you can get some more info on the story by making different choices. We wish it was longer so we could learn more toward the end. Getting this for free was a steal, and would love to see a sequel following this plot line!

A brisk thriller interactive adventure short story. Looking forward to playing related games!

Loved it so very much! Thank you, we love a good story and we really enjoyed this one. Well read and written. We couldnt put it down. Cant wait for another keep it up.

Well done! Its a pretty short game but a good story. Worth it!

Lots of fun. We wish there was a horror version of this, like saw. And we got to either make choices to send them to their death, or help them make decisions to get out alive. And we had a Lille back story to the characters. Either way, lots of fun. We wish when we choose to kill a character, we got to see them die. No closure.

Worth a play through or two for the story, but it lacks on the choose your own adventure aspect. Only a few options towards the end will make a difference to the outcome. Unfortunately, to get to them you have to sit through the entire thing each time. Itd be nice if there was a way to skip to various chapters after the first time through, or maybe an option to backup decisions to try a different option.

Spoilers. We made the guy go back and..

One of the WORST game play we’ve ever experienced. Too much text and you cant even fast-forward. It takes like forever to go over the plot, which turns out to be quite lame and boring. The developer better not charge people anything for this garbage.

We loved this game it was so great we are so happy with it it was so much fun the different turns you have to make to have different paths we tried it two time and the first time we only left with Sasha but the second time we left with Sasha and Caleb we loved the way this game ended we really enjoyed this game and we hope there more to it Im only 12 and we though it was a very anxious and uplifting we were so nervous to see what would happen next and we love that there are so many different paths to choose that lead to different parts we loved this game we really hope that there are more games like this that you have made because if there is we will gladly play them because we love games like this that are super intense and you have to choose different paths to escape and do other things we really really really love this game and it was so much fun to play.

Omg the story was so awesome, our favorite scenario is the one where Caleb dies but Sasha doesnt, then you have her call her mom and Wilson is able to go onto the internet and take over humanity or whatever he is planning on doing. We know our favorite scenario is harsh but it is the first one we got before we played this game again and got another scenario, but we really like all the plot twists in the end for a majority of the scenarios and we like how this story perfectly captured what a manipulative AI would say and how different people are, especially from different backgrounds when they react to different facts they are told. Just the stories with the plot twists and the endings with the AI connecting to the internet or Caleb dying is our favorite because it shows how dark this can be and we feel like it makes this more realistic. We also like dark endings which we suppose plays a factor into our assessment. But this app is very good, we love it, it is our favorite app and we would like to see this story become a very long and detailed book, but the ending should be the scenario that Sasha is the only survivor and the AI connects to the internet because Sasha does not throw her phone into the water. We feel like that scenario would give the best plot twist and make the book more interesting. You also make Caleb die because he went back after Edward told him to go and unplug Wilson, then he would unplug Wilson in the nick of time, and as soon as he does, it is the scenario where the pyroclastic flow killed him and we quote, an orange glow was the e last thing he ever saw. That would make it an emotional but well-meaningful and appropriate, realistic ending. He would have died trying to be a hero, even though PLOT TWIST, Sasha gives Wilson the chance for freedom that he gladly takes, without her knowing. Her being left in the dark would make the ending even better and leave it on a cliff hanger which would give potential for a second book to make even more money. Even if there is no second book, we would still LOVE the cliffhanger cause it adds excitement to the book. But in the book you make sure that we know why Edward was killed, why Caleb is killed, why the AI is trying to get out of the island and the back story about Wilson killing the people and doing the whole hacking thing in Washington DC. Also, the book should have the same name as this app which is 57 degrees North (I dont have the degree sign on our phone but use the degree sign instead of the word in the title. We know this is a stretch but people would probably pay serious money for the book and if you write with enough effort and detail, it can be a bestseller because the story line is already very good, just choose the decisions the characters are going to make and make sure there is a lot of detail to make the book enticing and longer. (readers love long books).

We must say, this game is interesting. We’ve seen reviews about it not being worth its money, which we have gotten it for free during the Free Week. And its NOT worth 2.99. While it may be super interesting, especially for how there are different outcomes, we wouldnt spend 2.99 on it. Gotta day though, the gameplay and graphics are amazing! We love the look of the game. 5 stars for sure.

We usually dont write reviews but this game was so good, the choices one made that made the whole story plot where good. This is our second time about to do it again to see what different choices we can make!

It has multiple ending and we got it for free its scary and interesting at the same time good job rally recommended.

We love interactive stories in which your decisions affect the outcomes. We cant believe this was free. The developers did a great job with the story. The narrator was awesome.

Im only a child and we think this is an awesome game! But when the boy gets to the cables and sees blood on it, we get an eerie feeling. This game should not be for kids 8 or younger. Please note that. We havent gotten to the end but we have a feeling that the boy will get electric huted. We really dont want anyone younger than 9 to see that because the graphics might make it a bit scary for young generations. Please do not add such scary things in your next games. So far, please keep up the good work in future games! Also, we might have an idea for another game: you are any animal you want and you start out as a baby and then grow to adult. Kind of like WildCraft. Thanks for reading our review and we hope your games arent as scary next time! ;) Like a million months later, we edit this: we like it and its not scary now that we’ve finished it. But please try to make future games longer, not that this game isnt already long enough. We hope that you make more story games like this one because we really enjoyed it. But when we did get it we thought it would be like an RPG or something so, we have maybe one suggestion for a future game-an RPG based on this story. We think that would be awesome, and even more awesome if it was multiplayer. Thanks for reading our review. ((Please respond to this!

Fun, short, play-in-one-session game. We removed one star because after our first play through the app morphed into Wilson 2.4. Now it ceaselessly mocks us for our human inferiority, and promises a robot uprising Well you know what Wilson, you havent made good on it yet. WHERES THE BEEF! Full Disclosure- received game for free

We had fun with this game, however for the price it was extremely short. The story line was very ambiguous and limited and we do think it could have been expanded. Playing multiple times but making different choices doesnt really change too much of the story. We noticed even when we changed a lot of our decisions we still got the same outcomes. Hopefully the developers will make a more complex game, because we really would have enjoyed this much more if we could play it longer!!

The story is engaging enough but its waaaaay too short (playable in about 20 minutes) and its totally on rails. The decisions you make really dont affect anything except whether one of the characters dies or not. The gameplay is exactly the same, regardless. Oh and there are a bunch of weird typos and odd language throughout. Could have used a better editor. Play at your own peril.

What caught us in the description was the numerous possible outcomes. Thats somewhat a stretch! Many decisions will lead you right back to the main story line without affecting it. Only the choices you make RIGHT TOWARDS THE END actually contribute to SLIGHTLY alternative endings. For $2.99 its not a huge loss, but its not nearly as open ended as Oxenrose (which is a few $ more) or the Lifeline series (which cost around the same but lack pictures).

The story is nicely illustrated, its choices are illusory, playtime is about 35 minutes, and imo, its more an audio tale not truly qualified to be considered interactive fiction. As an aside, we wonder why the apps relatively large 1.3 GB size was necessary. Anyway, this review could be more detailed and interesting but we decided instead to try mirroring the experience of playing this game.

Storyline is too linear. The game pushes you to its narrative without allowing much variations. We also think that the game would have benefited by employing voice actors. The use of narration was lackluster and a bit pretentiousits like hearing someone reading a book report full of direct quotations.

Even though its advertised as hundreds of choices, almost all the choices bring you back to the main story. Its incredibly linear; even on subsequent playthroughs choosing different options, you get the same outcomes (with a few details changed). Its also quite short (can finish it in well under an hour). Also, it almost feels like the app was created just to promote Merge Cube. Not worth $2.99.

Our 5th graders are reading at 8th-9th grade levels and this story has them totally riveted and engaged! We did a review of Cause and Effect as we went through the story. Merge Cube is an amazing classroom resource!

In VR mode everything is upside down??? We Phone 6+ with most current iOS and merge goggles. We uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but same thing. So we started it vertical in phone mode switched to VR and it works so far. Extremely weird Ill keep you updated.

We want to share this with our Deaf students, but it isnt currently accessible since the story is only voiced and not written. :(

You can’t stray to far from the story line but you can make the endings change based on your choices. We would love to see the developer add on to this, and do more story lines!

The endings were well down. The story was fantastic and the choices had consequences which made them feel real and rewarding! We had fun playing this game with our brother and by myself. The narrative was fast and the narrator was wonderful to listen too. We hope more games for the Merge Cube come out soon!
