Suddenly (without any iOS update) the game refuses to contact map downloads and then crashes upon attempted load on up to date iPhone 15. We have restarted, deleted and reinstalled. Something seems to be wrong as of Today. Sillysoft.net also seems to be unreachable. We would definitely pay for an update if this game as it is hands down our favorite go to strategy game. Please Developers take a look at what might be causing this new issue. Again, we as well as other lovers of this game would definitely pay for an update. Much thanks in advance.

The game is basically Risk with minor adjustments. Our first time playing Risk was the physical board game. It took forever, but this app speeds up the process substantially. We love it! Playing this game is fantastic with friends. Simply screen share the device to a TV and the whole group can watch the game even when the phone is passed around. It is much easier to get people to play this version than the physical game. Online gameplay would be awesome, but we understand that is unlikely to happen. Also, it would be nice to not be encouraged to check out the Meowzers app at the end of our games. It makes the app feel cheap.
Its our number one game to chill for a quick 5-10 minutes strategy fix. The only thing is bothersome is that Reaper AI will collude with each other, so you end up with 2v1 or 3v1 and ruins the game.
Tons of maps available and customizable difficulty for the AI opponents. We have really enjoyed the increase in difficulty.
Excellent and simple turn based strategy game. Many hours of enjoyment and easy to play. Great for a quick game with many tile sets to learn.

Ive played Lux on and off for like a decade, mostly on desktop. The iPhone version is one of our favorite mobile games and easily worth the asking price.
What happened? Ive been playing this game for years and we love it, but it just stopped working. We deleted it and downloaded it again but now we cant download any maps. We just get a server error. Is it no longer supported.

This game is the best version of Risk out there. You can easily play a game against five other tough AI opponents in ten minutes. No waiting to have to choose to roll the dice and see the result. Plays really fast if you want and theres lots of other maps. No tech glitches either. Highly recommended.
This is the best version of this game and we have tried most of not all of them. The EA version is horrible.
This game is challenging and plays quickly. The AI is pretty tough but can be beaten if you understand how they vary by degree of intelligence. Great game.
We have had this game for 13 years and played it at least 30 times a year. And we can honestly say that it is worth every penny.
Best game ever, unless you flat out hate Risk. A couple hundred maps from the most simple to the maddeningly complex. AI is configurable so it can be as hard or easy as you like.
There is a map, Baltic or something like that, which makes this game super addictive. We play this all the time, though today the game wont open because of the (Im assuming) latest OS updatethe game was working perfectly until we allowed Apple to updateI should know better, they usually screw up good systems by fixing what wasnt broken. But in any case, we highly recommend this excellent game.

Ive played everyone. Wished there were more maps. It seems in the last 3 years game has gone dead.
Please upload new maps to the server. We know that the apps are limited due to iPhones have less hardware capabilities but let us choose to play maps that may slow down on an iPhone.
Wish there was a wheel of time map. Game is boss though. Best way to pass the time in a plane :).
Ive been playing this game for about 8 years, give it take. We love it! We had it on our first iPod touch, and every iPhone since then.
Lux is a fun strategy game with different difficulties, boards, and options – never gets dull.
Ages ago there was a version of Risk available by EA. It was a nice way to pass the time. We especially enjoyed the medals, and we think we got nearly all of them over time. Recently we tried to download it but there is a new official version that is an ad nightmare, and the only way to get rid of them is to buy gems to unlock. Pure crap. This game does not suffer from that insanity, it is a straightforward game that we have come to enjoy for short interludes of world conquest. The controls are easy enough to learn though we do sometimes miss the Fortify button and end a turn by mistake. Also, when asked about cashing in cards for armies, the board is erased of army counts, making it harder to decide if cashing in is necessary or worthwhile to begin a run of capturing all of another color.
No pesky ads, more community created boards than you can shake a stick at and no in app purchases. Best money Ive spent on a game – ever. Hands down the best. Ive played this app for over 10 years and because we can change so many variables (including making a computer player a second human player – pass the device) it continues to hold our interest and makes us unstoppable at the risk board game when played against friends and family.
Lots of maps, game modes, rulesets, and AI skill levels means you can customize the game pretty much however you could please. No IAP means its safe for the kids too, and will help them build strategic mindsets if you teach them to watch and mimic the Reaper AI play style. Our only issue with it is the audio level is permanently bound to the main sound level so if you want to quiet down the explosions you end up doing so for the whole phone, which can lead to issues if you forget (it also mutes itself off the lock switch). You can disable the sound effects outright but the sound design has some useful audio cues for when your thumbs are hiding info. Itd be nice to have a game audio slider option not bound to main volume.
Spread the word , this game is still fun! We had it for many years now , we love that it has such a large variety of maps and more coming ever so often. Great job and thanks for the game.

Sillysoft conquered the world domination strategy game genre for us like a decade ago. This is a game we always come back to, we love being able to find a new map and a new experience. The reaper bots are challenging. We have to shout out Mark Bauer, his maps are always top notch! Things Id love to see… Map sorting and navigation improvements Multiplayer over bluetooth or LAN.
Update 1/31/2021 After 15 years of playing this game exclusively(!) a week ago we went to putting all the other bots on Reaper mode! We should have won the first game, lost 3 or 4 in a row then won the last 3. We still love this game! Here is our previous review: … …… We played this happily for years and then our phone as it died slowly began to open this app up in its default mode so, for the first time we just played along with the situation of all of the armies pre-placed randomly. Its our new favorite game! We set it at all Reapers except for one that is set for hardest AI. We turn purple off because otherwise we will usually get killed off before 3rd or 5th turn. With the armies randomly placed, it is a completely different game each time as we have to fight for totally different areas. We win 65% of the time or better. It makes you look forward to having any delay that you encounter throughout the day so that you can play a game. If you cant finish, a decent phone automatically saves the game. Get ready for a new bff! Hint: Be patient. Let your enemies beat each other up. Dont be too aggressive until mid game.
So love the game. Been playing years and always come back. Great deal that we suggest to all buy the upgraded version it's cheap too. Biohazard mode is our favorite. And get tons of maps. Note to dev: can we have a running statistics in the game? Least amount of moves from a win: Most amount of moves per win: Most amount of army after win Least amount of troops after win You know, draw people back to beat there own high scores. Honestly the maps alone make this worth it. Its fun, kills time. We recommend it.
We used to love this app but all it does now is crash every time we start a game, on the first move. We deleted and reinstalled it, and then it wouldnt even let us select the territories we wanted, it just automatically filled and then crashed after. If this gets fixed we will change our review to 5 stars. Edit: Thank you for fixing the app! Continues to be our favorite.
Sillysoft tried to squeeze a complicated program onto a portable platform. It's ok, but still falls short of the latop/desktop application. It's nearly worth the fiver we dropped. But hey, how about those Blues?? They're up 2-1 over the Wild in game two. Allen is doing a great job in net, and Tarasenko has two.. He's DUE for a hat trick. DUE. Im also thinkin about gettin some taco bell. Maybe a grilled stuft burrito? A crunchwrap supreme? Man im just torn. Oh but nice graphics and sound effects on the game.
Really love this game, and especially like the Baltic map (we think we had to download itbeen a while so maybe its included in the default game). But seriously thumbs-up to this gameits a lot of fun,.
Easy to understand how to play – great strategy game for your brain. We have played this game for years and would definitely recommend for pre-teens on up.
We genuinely forget how much we paid for the Lux version. We play this game almost every day a few times a day for a quick mindless strategy game. Of course, you can crank up the AI, or change some of the features of the map – or conquer a different map all together and have more of a thinker on your hands. The free version was cool, but the paid version is so much more fun. We mean – all-in and auto-move alone is worth the extra cash.
Ive played the free versions for years and years and we finally took the plunge and purchased the deluxe version. Worth every penny! Plus feel good supporting the developer who has supplied us with countless hours of entertainment. About the actual game. Its the basic risk game, with lots of rule options. Their default is fun, but we prefer the constant area and card bonus.
Doesnt waste your time with pointless animations or AI deliberation. Super customizable Super fast Super challenging we gladly paid for this game on iOS and Android.
