What Makes Dwarf Journey Stand Out

A glimpse of death made the strong and wise warrior Gallar look for a way to continue enjoying worldly pleasures for all eternity. Ancient writings say there is a mystical cave in the Valley of Eternity that holds a lost relic capable of granting eternal life to the brave who finds it. Armed with his ax and his trusty pickaxe, Gallar sets off for the northern mountains in search of an epic adventure that may cost his own life; or guarantee it forever.

Key Features:

• Explore randomly generated levels! This action roguelite platformer offers challenging new experiences every time you play.

• Defeat enemies and evolve your character! Fight enemies and bosses to unlock new routes and gather experience to grow and customize your character the way you prefer.

• Collect minerals to forge better equipment! Gather ores and weapon blueprints you find in the depths of the cave and take them to the village blacksmith to forge finer equipment. Fight even stronger and more powerful monsters.

• Customize your gameplay with runes and items! Find runes around the cave that will give your hero extra features. Assemble your build with up to three runes, forge items and set up your character in your preferred style. Choose your strategy and customize your gameplay!

• Face bosses in epic battles! You must deal with wicked bosses who will challenge all your strengths and tactics. But be careful: as the levels are randomly generated, you can find the bosses' doors right away. Have the wisdom to know your limits and the perception of the right time to face them.

• Achieve immortality! Help Gallar to continue his long and glorious journey into eternity. Will you be able to fight until the end for the lost relic?

• Controller compatible!

Community Insight:

It has a lot more replayability than one might think.

Really another amazing game! Just want more of it. More levels more skill tree more secrets/ surprises! More from this developer please!!! Wish you the best.

This game has smooth controls, great upgrade system, and good ol platformer mechanics that balance difficulty and skill wonderfully. Top of the line game for sure.

One of the most fun roguelikes Ive played on iPhone, surprised it doesnt have more ratings.

This was a really fun game. We enjoyed the mechanics, combat and no frills action. Its a rogue lite that has you handling a dwarf packed with all the elements you would expect. Combat and enemies are fun. Difficulty can be hard but not too hard. Only gripe with it is that its on the shorter end, would definitely love to play more of it.

Dwarf Journey is quite a bit better than we thought it was going to be. We havent had any issues with the virtual controls – in fact, Ive found them incredibly accurate – the gameplay area did seem kind of zoomed out too far, but theres a magnifying glass option you can hit on the fly (dont even need to go into the settings menu, its above your right side of the screen controls) which zooms in the perfect amount (on our iPh11). The graphics are cool the color schemes used in each area that Ive seen so far have been great and nothing has been hard to see against the backgrounds. Really the only negative things we can say are that they didnt take the phones notch into consideration, so unless you play with your phones up side up-side-down, you cant tell how much material youve collected so far. That and the text is pretty small, making it hard to read (and this is coming from someone who has set their phones text size as small as it goes). Neither of those are things we find big enough to deduct a star. With all of that said, this is easily one of the best platformer based iOS games Ive played in a while. Itd be awesome to see a full-fledged platformer as a sequel or spin-off or something, instead of the room-based game thats here. While we understand its a lot more work, the AppStore is starved for those kinds of titles, and a higher price-point would be totally justified. Anyway. We will definitely be keeping an eye on these devs, looking forward to whatever comes out in the future. =D.

Ive really enjoyed this game so far. It is repetitive by nature, and the entire point is to build your stats, buff your equipment, and go further the next time. Our only feature request is that we wish there were cloud saves so that we could maintain our progress across both our iPhone and iPad.

Ok, let us start by saying, that we found the first few hours playing this game really fun, and if it werent for these issues that Im about to talk about, we would probably be giving this a higher rating. We are a huge rogue like fan, started with Dead Cells, and now we have, like, twenty and counting. And when we saw that there seemed to be another one for the collection, we were extremely excited. We downloaded the game and found the beginning very fun, interesting leveling up mechanics, we were into it Until we reached the level cap Now, dont get us wrong, we love a difficult game, but having to, basically, face the same brick wall with a different combination of these 50 levels, just trying to get some progress, having to face the same levels, with the same enemies. Now, we know a rogue like is supposed to be somewhat repetitive at some point in the progression. But this game reached that point, A LOT quicker than other titles we have played. If the developers added some level diversion, like those similar to that of Soul Knight, that would greatly extend the games ability to be entertaining for longer. But, anyway, that all that we have to say about this game, the general game mechanics are nice, but the same levels and the same enemies without any diversion can get dull very quickly.

IPhone 12 mini's notch, on screen controls, etc.

We really dont like this game at all so can we get a refund It just doesnt feel great to control or play.

We played this game from start to finish in one sitting loved it just waiting for the next boss fights :).

Very fun. Look forward its future.

But if it there could be an option to set higher brightness, then the game will be much more friendly to the players who might have some eyesight issues. Thanks.

Its a fun game. Nice to have a rougelite more like Rogue Legacy than Dead Cells. However, the UI does not take the iPhone notch into account and important parts of the interface are obscured when playing the game with the notch on the left side. We use a Backbone controller to play this game so having the left is the only option. Would also be great if the game was aware of the controller and would hide the touch UI.

Fun game! We wish we didnt have to start over from the beginning when we die. How about an option to start at the level you died.

The game is awesome, but one problem is you cant actually see the count of ore if the phone is flipped the wrong way.

The game crashes on the regular now, we cant even get past the first world without crashing. We love the game but its in playable now can u plz fix.
