This games good we really like it.
Just outright, if you have an iPad thats older than three years, the game will crash after LITERALLY every other mission. The real issue is this doesnt start happening until about chapter 22, where enemy number spike hard. Our iPad runs genshin with no issue but this game crashes it something like 12 times per day now, even on lowest settings, muted, data mode on, all the tricks. Miserable experience. Ive loved this game for months but we really cant give a good review when it became unplayable right after we started putting money into it. We literally sunk 20$ to get some pulls and now the game isnt working. We want to continue the story but the game literally wont let us. Their Tech support gives lip service to the issue, but its apparently been occurring for years with no real fix.
Love the game!!! Especially when we need something to play to kill time we hop on this and does the job. Keeps us from being bored.

To start, this game has consumed our life and has us hooked. We have a couple things that we think need to change but this game has a lot going for it. The story is what keeps us wanting to progress and is the strongest point. There are impactful moments and the game does a really good job getting you attached to the characters and their individual stories. The character designs are a bit over the top with the fan service, but Im not going to pretend that we dont like them. The problem this game runs into is that progression feels awful after hitting around chapter 14 of the main story (This isnt even a third of the way through the current story as well). The way this game ramps up the combat power requirements is very punishing. There is also the issue of the 160 wall, but we feel like this has been complained about extensively. We understand that this is a gacha game and that the whole point is that progression needs to be drawn out, but it sucks to spend a full week playing the game and getting nowhere. For context, we started playing about a month ago during the 3rd anniversary and am really starting to feel the forced slow progression. If Im feeling this as a new player, we can only imagine that this gets even worse the deeper we get into the game. Core dust rates are abysmal and need to be adjusted, the base acquisition rate of skill manuals needs to be improved, and the rate of acquiring upgrade materials for gear needs to be improved. We like that the story can be played through and its great that the developers have added convenient ways to get caught up on past events. One suggestion we have is to let players view all event stories, but require memory foil to claim the rewards. This allows players to see everything they missed while still locking rewards behind a limited resource. Do not play this game if gameplay is what youre after. This is a fairly brain dead game with some minor team building, but everything is RNG and based on the characters you pull. If you are even remotely intrigued by the character designs, we would definitely give this game a try and see it as more of an engaging visual novel.
When we first downloaded this game we didnt expect much we just expected a really gooner game with little to no story but as we kept playing its still a gooner game but the story and the gatcha aspect to the game got us hooked.
The game has very good content such as the dialogue aspect and animations. However it takes up WAY too much space on our phone.

An overall good game where you can see othered complements on how the game acts and overall feels in which we fully agree, its just that the fan service that this game feeds us is getting out of hand. Such just leaves us with distain from the game entirely where it has great story but fan service just makes it unbearable and uncomfortable. Just good game but too much fan service.
Cant get the characters you want unless you spend a fortune. Another cash grab. Which is sad cause this game even does collabs.
Getting the bug gripe out of the way first. But please note that we would have given this game a five star rating otherwise: we use a pretty old, but still supported iPhone. Multitasking into another app, Notification Center or Control Center for too long is enough to interrupt a download on this device. Unfortunately the update failed, stalling on AutoLogin successful. The background animation of Rapi would freeze at this point and it doesnt recover. The only option we had was to offload the app and reinstall (did not work) or delete the app completely and reinstall. Deleting allowed us to fully download the new update in app, but now it freezes on the login screen. This is particularly irritating because of a $5 in app purchase where they send you free gems for 30 days. But in order to claim them, you must log in. No login, no bonus (even if you paid for it!). Worse yet, if you dont have your account linked to Level Infinite (which we had no idea about, and in-game its not explained well at all), you may lose access to your account. We signed in with Apple and didnt think it was important to link our account, so it seems we cant login unless we use an Apple device. And the login window freezes every time we open the app. This is extremely annoying, and we would have thought account recovery features would be available from the first screen. Instead, the only available button is for update notice information. The game is fun, has a bit of a guilty pleasure to it, but Lost Sector is awesome for people who like puzzles. The mini games are a lot of fun too. In particular MOG EX, which is basically a much scaled down Vampire Survivors clone of sorts. If youre into those sorts of games, we think youll love that minigame. But man is the login bug annoying. Theres in game events we wanted to access but cant. Finding customer support on the English website appears impossible too. We found a support email through a web search instead. We hope the support email pans out.

They definitely didnt have any budget cuts when it came to the characters.
The guns and effects are top notch. But we really wish they are did a collab with girls und panzer.

This is our first time writing a review and we love the app. Its an amazing story. Im having trouble with the new events. Queens fall. Its kicking us out of the app. We are currently on story board one episode.12 sometimes when Im skipping the scorpions animation it kicks us out of the app sometimes when we click on a persons ability, it kicks us out out of the app.
Honestly, one of the better games to play that is consistent.
We dont play mobile or gacha games but nikke sold us on it especially with the gunplay,anime aesthetic similar to nier automata,solid story and especially the girls(Nikkes) are very fun to play,squad building is easy to understand unlike msf we play mostly.
Their 3rd year anniversary event was one of the best video game events we have ever partaken in. Shook us to our core. Isnt this supposed to be about jiggly girls?? Why am we crying???? Why am we cheering.
Ive been playing this game since its release and Ive never felt more engaged, more connected to ANY mobile game with this much heart put into it. The experience you will surely enjoy from this will make you wish you were there. Truly a time to be alive for this masterpiece. Thank you, Shift Up.

There has never been a mobile game like NIKKE before. It is a seemingly unsuspecting app that conceals a masterpiece of a storyline, stunning characters, and beautiful music. The game mechanics, engaging stories, and very generous gifts and rewards are enough to want to make you play it every day. Shift Up should be proud of themselves for making a truly one-of-a-kind game.
If you like anime, games like Nier:Automata or Stellar blade, and beautiful 2D women with big guns, this game is for you. Gameplay: 10/10 Story: 10/10 Im a grown man, and can think of at least 5 times off the top of our head where Ive shed tears playing through this games events and main story. Entertaining story, good main gameplay (no chibi unlike most gacha games), characters are fun. It is gacha but you can unlock many/most characters if you save, and login often which was a first for us. Also rerunning limited collabs almost makes it possible for you to eventually get every character for free. In the beginning, there was only select useful characters, but with raids, tribe tower, arena, and Interception it brings out majority characters, making them useful and unique. We first played during the chainsaw man collab and since then the game has progressed and become significantly better. Shift up also listens to fans and made positive changes based on feedback which we appreciate. We had initially believed they would never even respond to criticism but they did and made changes to greatly improve the game. This gacha game feels high quality, stands out, and is fully enjoyable even if you dont spent any money.

We had seen NIKKE trailers during closed beta; and felt like it was a game we HAD to play. Three years later, Im still here. The story is finely crafted and sunk its hooks into us from day one.

If youre looking for a game that doesnt have your stereotypical harem anime elements, this isnt the game for you. Anime girls with guns.
We have been a day 1 player(pre OP pilgrims/pre Overspec), is f2p and all we can say to those that complain that its P2W(Its not) and that the enemies get very difficult is that learn the mechanics. Learn how to dodge and learn how to cover. Read the skills so that you can make the most optimal squad for the said stage. Save your gems for limited banners and Anniversaries. That is all.
When we tell you that jiggle physics, bro play it, especially the collaborations are amazing.
As someone that plays gacha games a lot of them we cant stick with due to either stale characters, story, or just bad pull rates. This has an amazing story, great characters and the pull rates are great compared to other gacha. Th music is also top tier for a gacha game. Theres absolutely no reason for them to cook so hard with the music.
First off, regarding the gacha this game is so good at giving you characters. This coming from an Fgo player. It is a grindy with the whole dailys, but wasnt a problem for us. The Story is Amazing we were hooked at the beginning. This is the only game who has made us cry multiple times. Not only in the main story, but the event storylines as well. And of course all the Nikkes are amazing. Being able to message them kinda. And their bond stories are pretty good also. People complain about the costume gacha but we see no problem, you dont need to get them. So thats just a little taste of what Ive experienced. Would definitely recommend.

The game is fun tbh, we love the lore especially.
We think most people that see ads for this game started playing for the same reason. Boba and guns. But as you progress to the story and really pay attention to the details. You see the rich and in depth lore behind the characters. From soul crushing to heart warming. Devs have been pretty good at fixing what players dont like. Can be a F2Per and its the perfect time to join at the time of writing this (3rd anniversary).
As much as it might seem like a fanservice game (which, it is), NIKKE truly goes above and beyond for a mobile RPG. The characters are all developed in an intense and incredibly interesting story, with beautiful animation and art. The gameplay is fun and easy to understand for beginners, and gets difficult enough for seasoned players to enjoy without getting bored. The bosses are HARD, and thats an understatement. The game is so rewarding to level up in and its extremely fulfilling to finally beat that stage youve been trying to beat for ages. Every single event has great story, gameplay, minigames, you name it, NIKKE has it! Alongside all this, the gacha is some of the best ive seen. Its extremely easy to get diamonds without paying, and the pull rates are pretty good! Even after that, you dont necessarily have to have the best characters to succeed. You can build and work with whatever characters you want, and as long as you put in the effort, youll be rewarded! The only thing we lament about is the costume gacha, which is incredibly expensive for what its providing, but then again, its purely cosmetic and doesnt provide in-game benefits, so we cant be too mad. Overall, NIKKE is one of the best mobile RPGs out there.

We loved this game while we played it, we might get into it again honestly, it had a great storyline and pretty characters! The fan service threw us off sometimes, but it was really fun and a great concept, it combined our two favorite kinds of games: shooter games and anime games. We cant get mad at the fan service, if it works it works, its just not for us but we cant get past it.
If you get past the Gooner bait the story is really good.
The game is good with an incredible story, but it is near unplayable on iphone as it crashes too often. PC we have no issues with, but unable to play on phone.
Its not letting us download it on our ios xr it gets to 100mb and then just pauses at that forever and we deleted it and redownload even have 50gb left so dont we did everything know how to fix it.
