Community Insight:
We are enjoying the Forever Lost series because the game play isnt like a typical HOG or quest game. Im going to see if other Glitch games are available.
First time around this series blew us away! We worked hard to forget as much as possible and came back many months later to enjoy it again. We still found it engrossing, plus we love the music. Thanks for a wonderful game series.
FL:3 was definitely harder after 1 and 2 and we really needed those hints. At first it was a little overwhelming with all the areas and rooms but if you slow down and relax and just enjoy the experience it is amazing in concept, storyline, clues, puzzles and loved the music. Love the eerie setting and the entire storyline. Our only complaint was there was no rhyme or reason in the 3rd installment to the camera output. We preferred the first two games in this regard. After taking a photo Id have to go search for it to make a note. Other than that glitch truly an amazing game. Sure hope we can find something even close to this quality to play.
Replayed it for a second time and it does not disappoint.
Great game. We are 76 ears old and have played many of your games. Keep them coming yall are the best. Thanks for the entertainment.
This game is so engaging. Theres more to explore, more puzzles, more story, more psychology, and more subtle humor for you to enjoy. Love Forever Lost, Episode 3.
People who like to have think outside of the box mental challenges rejoice! This game series does just that! We dont need a ball when we can use a head. Literalist go play EXiTS instead! Those who can use a pliars as table legs, this game is for you! We are stuck in very first area with different game mechanisms then Episode 2. Thats a bit harder as things arent working when we think they should with circle blocking where we would put item, but no worries because just seeing a tiny bit of walk through will teach us how and we will be fine then. We have Shaken Baby Syndrome, high functioning, and can still solve puzzles. This why we say if you cant do outside of box thinking, then go play a hold our hand please game instead because this game is way better than that!!!! We may have brain damage but Ive been playing puzzlers to help heal our brain. We dont need our hand held. Thanks! Signed former MENSA who still hates mom but forgave her.
This game is better than most escape room games. Im not sure how we feel about the new navigation compared to the first two, but Im thankful for the hints and the ability to take photos and reference them in while working on other puzzles. These puzzles are very non linear. There are typically lots of usefully clues if youre paying attention but we did have a few that were like, what? How am we supposed to know to use a magnifying glass to randomly look for hidden clues in random objects all over the map, like a random boulder that gives us no clue that its a special boulder we should be paying attention to? Especially since there are A LOT of places to navigate to, we really dont want to spend a lot of time just clicking everywhere and trying every tool in our inventory. That being said, we still do enjoy most of the puzzles and this game will last quite a while to complete, and it saves where you left off last. The game a few times seemed to be literally glitched, and we dont know if that was intentional? When we got to the arcade game we felt like we were stuck on repeat during the game and then we couldnt get out of and couldnt solve and after all the work we put into this, we ended up resetting the game. All that said, we kind of liked your first two lost games a little better. They seemed a little more organized, easier to understand and had less problems. But for a few bucks, we still think the game is worth a try if you are into puzzle solving.
Overall very impressive. Love the continuing them and creativity. Having to use the walkthrough more than we like. But thats better than it being to easy. Im using the more difficult option. If we play it again Ill try the less difficult one. Im curious what the difference is. We like that you can have a photo on the game screen. We dont like the way the photos are arranged though! Looking forward to #4.
We know $10 might seem like a steep price tag for a mobile game, but for this package its a steal. The puzzles are clever and stymying without being illogical or pointlessly roundabout, the story is intriguing and smartly delivered, and the hints are actual hints that dont just reveal the solution. The third game in particular was so much more expansive than we were expecting it to be, and we appreciated the way old locations remained relevant instead of being cleared and never visited again. If we had one complaint, it would be that we missed the inventory/hint interface from game 2. It was a bummer to see game 3 return to the slightly clunkier interface from game 1.
Some things about this game annoyed us at first. The new camera interface was awkward, the backward font seemed too precious, the music was overbearing, and one of the first puzzles was misleading but all that said, by the time game ended, we were past all of that and totally focused on solving the puzzles. It was a fun ending to the trilogy.
We really enjoyed Forever Lost Cabin, 1, 2, and granted there were some fun, clever puzzles to the third chapter. The reason Im only giving it two stars is because the map has well over 20 rooms right of the bat (thats a generous number) and there were a few puzzles that were definitely a stretch. Ive played many escape room games including all the cube escape and forgotten hill games (all of which we loved). Ive completed several of them without any hints and we only needed at most two hints for the rest of the games in this series. This one however we needed a hint every 30 minutes, and going back and forth to the other ends of the map was just so time consuming and frustrating. On top of having to remember every little detail in all 20 rooms in our opinion gets to be too much. All and all its ok. We would be a little easier on it if the conclusion to the story which we were really invested in up until this point wasnt so cheap.
But we're done with this chapter. We can't get past the bullseye spinner, been on it for a week now. Not fun anymore.
We have played Fireproof Games and Cyan and several others. This series is right on level with the difficulty in complication of solving of puzzles. Congrats! Glitch Games you have combined a new level of interest with using animation in your puzzles as well. Love it.
Id take a brick to the head if it meant getting to play this series for the first time all over again. We played these games a long time ago now and every time we see them when Im on a quest for a new game we mourn that we cannot find anything close to their equal. Our husband and we played together. Its not always easy. But the uneasy, creepy environment, the storyline, the delivery…. Everything about it was exciting and thought provoking! It required the player to fully immerse themselves in the game to unravel the narrative of our past. Please please give us more of this type of game. Im writing this review after our annual follow up to see if anything new is listed as being even remotely similar.
These games are getting us through the days of our citys Lockdown. They are our favorite puzzle games so far (and Ive played dozens). Please keep making them. Good mix of clues, good story, hints are good, but we like playing without them to prolong the game. The answer is always available somewhere in the game.
Ive been bed bound from a recent injury and Ive played through all three of the Forever Lost games and Ive been beyond impressed with each of them, and this third game was the undisputed best. We love that now we were able to put the photos we took in game on the screen to help with solving puzzles and we love that everything seems to move much more smoothly than in the past forever lost games. Our only complaint is that the photo catalog is very difficult to organize, from what we can tell there is no distinguishing order to the photos based on how recently theyve been taken, but it was more an inconvenience than anything else and it was still such an amazing game to play.
This game was great! Hours of fun. Well worth the price! The puzzles were not too hard but not too easy just right to be enjoyable. And even when we had to get a hint here and there you could see that the solution did make sense and was solvable.
We absolutely loved playing this series. The puzzles are really good with some humor thrown in. We like that its creepy without going overboard or getting gruesome. Graphics are great. Just an awesome game. The only reason we took away a star is because of the ending. We get you want to put a twist on it but the ending is super sad and worse yet doesnt answer questions that come up during the game. Awesome game but the story line made us sad and didnt tie tighter super well.
We really enjoyed the third in the series. We gave a 4 instead of 5 because we found the Hint system in #1 & #2 to be more straightforward . In this one it is more obtuse and left us hanging. The developers also changed the inventory system. We also had a few hiccups with the new system. We are glad we re-found the games by Glitch and plan to get more.
We love that this game has multiple layers and you use tools from previous challenges to complete others. Keeps you thinking and definitely challenging. The hints are just enough without walkthroughs. Really well-done. If you like The Room, youll enjoy this too.
If we close the app, and then reopen it, we get the introduction all over again and all our progress is lost we then replayed, found the backup option and saved a backup. We closed the app and again, the introduction played the next time we opened it. (Highly annoying) Then we went to load our backup (yes, we wrote down the time stamp and made sure we had the default backup and the new backup), and alas, the backup we had made was gone. How does one get a refund? This is unplayable without a way to save progress.
The forever lost trilogy was our favorite out of Glitch games. Id love to see more like this. We also enjoyed All that Remains.. Will there be a part 2? The Forgotten Room & A Short Tale were decent games.. Fun but got stuck on a lot of things. Now Im off to play Vertitas.
One of the funnest games Ive ever played!!! We loved the whole series, cant wait for more games from this dev. One thing, when you take in game photos it seems to store the photos in a weird order? Maybe we just dont understand the ordering, but we preferred the older games where it stored them in the same order you took them in.
Very entertaining, long play, really challenging.
This trilogy was insanely good. 1 and 2 were a little more linear than 3. We dont think we wouldve been able to complete this game without the hints, but even with the clues, it was still a LOT of fun. And the story… So well written. We didnt think Id be this emotionally invested in a puzzle game.
Very intriguing development and unraveling of the story/mystery. Very enjoyable to play.
Ive been sick this weekend and started playing cabin escape, the finished this last game today. It was a nice way to pass the time! The last one WAS a bit hard and you really need the hints that they give you in the game. Honestly we started really getting invested in the story, wanting to know what happened to Alice and Jason! Anyways, would recommend to people who arent too proud to peak at a walkthrough lol.
We loved we and we we but three was frustrating. Clues needed to solve were not available after you completed certain sections. Some logic did not make sense.
This game has been frustrating. The concepts dont link well. Its very easy to miss something important and then worst of all, it allows the us to advance so far in the game that we have no idea where we might have missed something. The hints are not very helpful either and its been frustrating needing so many (the other games we got through with only 1). We devoured the other 2 but we may just give up playing on this one.
Long time iPhone user but first time reviewer. Saved it for this series and these developers. This game including all the others in the series are 2nd to none. The graphics are great but the puzzles are especially imaginative and complex. Games like the Room series are good but dont hold a candle. Here you arent just subject to a single room or area but rather the entire landscape, making it that much more complicated yet rewarding. We own all games developed by Glitch games and am on our second go around playing through. The price tag is well worth the game play. Excellent job again here Glitch games. Cant wait for the next game release.
Initially gave this one star because Levers in exam room do not work! We pick up lever 4 and it still appears in the lock! Had no issue w Ferris game. Cant finish game… Very disappointed. Loved episode 1 and 2. UPDATED RATING 4 stars. Ok so we deleted app and reinstalled and had to go through whole game from beginning (but went pretty fast since we had already done it) and levers worked perfectly this time. Wouldve given 5 stars if we did not have issue w levers the first time.
1 was great, 2 was okay. This one was a let down. Its as though they ran out of ideas. You basically need to rely on the clues or walkthrough for every step. Who thinks to grab an item, move the item to a different location, and then use a different item to manipulate the first item? If the two items were functional items, it would make sense and you may think of it but these were too outlandish. Who thinks to put ripped up wallpaper into a printer, or cut the shovel because you need a stick-like object. Its like wearing pants as a shirt – we dont have a clean shirt so Im going to make do by wearing our pants as a shirt today? Anything and everything goes that is impossible to figure it out. Its like in episode 2 where you use a dolls head as a basketball. We dont have a ball so Im going to use a dolls head instead? Theyre too vague and a stretch that you would never think of it. Its like they crammed as many ridiculous tasks because they ran out of ideas. This wasnt really a puzzle. Nothing is what you would think to do because theyre so far-fetched.
We got this game a few weeks ago and there was an automatic update which was pretty cool. But now we cant get the mirror back off the cabinet and the levers in the exam room dont unlock no matter what we do. Help.
We love puzzles… Like… LOVE. We are so hooked on these games by Glitch. Each episode is PACKED with puzzles to solve, super creepy and realistic graphics, and great sound. The hints are always great and can always get you out of a jam. Hey Glitch guys/gals, if you ever need a game tester… Pick us!!!! Keep up the good work.
Ive really enjoyed this series so far, and was having a great time playing this third entry, until we realized that there is seemingly only one glitch token with which to play Ferris Mueller. After doing a few of the puzzles, we exited the arcade game, thinking we couldnt proceed. And now…we cant get back in. You shouldnt make an item consumable with no replacements if its necessary to proceed and could be used in error. Really, really unfortunate.
Part 3 was a bit challenging actually still working on it, but as always glitch makes great games.
We like playing trilogy games and investigating games but this is by far the best game trilogy that we have played. Imagery and graphics are not cheap, everything is well lied out for the player to actually have to dig a little at their own pace with their own think outside the box ability without being so obvious. The game was creepy as well as packed with tons of puzzles and hints in multiple rooms and buildings. Our step daughter and we got so into playing these games together we have purchased every single game from Glitch Games to play together! The story was so interesting and all episodes tie together to make you almost crave the next bit of the story because in the beginning games you dont know who you are, why your character has bad memory, and why this is all happening. Glitch Games rocks, and Im very excited to see if theyll be coming out with new games. If so, ID BE HAPPY TO HELP TEST PRE RELEASE! -Paige and Lily.
The third in the already amazing Forever Lost series and it doesn't disappoint. If you like puzzle/escape games and haven't played this series, then you're in for a treat and we're jealous. The best puzzles…. Smart, creative, ingenious, and the right amount of challenge…. A great story…. An in game hint feature…. And that rockin' in game camera of theirs…. All add up to another one of the very best games In the App Store. Thank you Glitch Games! Can't wait for the next one.
All the games were designed so realistic, hoe could anyone not like it? It was so cleaver and interesting. We had to play all of the Forever Lost games and the Cabin Escape to keep track of the story. The ending was the best part! We couldnt get over the ending with Jason eating the pill. There should be a movie about Forever Lost, Im sure it would make history.
So impressed with what you've done here. We're always searching for escape games, preferring Japanese style. Came across "Alice's cabin" and wanted more, we were intrigued by the mystery, so we bought "Forever Lost". We haven't experienced an escape game as elaborate or imaginative. Many of the puzzles were in an other league, unique and original. We did use hints fairly often, the game was so extensive that we needed direction at times. We just don't have the patience, it would have taken months for us without hints. In hindsight we wish we hadn't because we want more. More please!!! Thank you, thank you.
If you like stretching your brain to the limit, this game and the series of games are it. If you read any reviews about a glitch in the game, its not true. Those people couldnt figure out the game. We hope they make more games like this.
We have almost all of their games and by far this is the best one. Its polished and deep so the result is satisfying gameplay.
It started with just finding a past time game, when we came about the Cabin Escape. When we finished that, we didnt had second thoughts of getting the next one except it was a bundle of 3. Get this, Im never a fan of getting the next part of games because for us its just a waste of $. We can easily let go of games and move on to the next, but this was definitely AN EXCEPTION. We were really hooked and always wanting to finish the next thing we can unveil until Im at least completely satisfied enough to put our phone down. IT WAS SO WORTH buying the bundle! OMG! Each of the episodes gets better and better! We mean we were literally on the edge of our seat at the very end. Our mind was blown! Loving it, is such an understatement. Its highly recommended to everyone!!! Producers, artists, everyone who worked on these games. JOB WELL DONE! PS: Theres a bug on Episode 2. 1. Open app 2. Select hints 3. Play game 4. Return to home 5. Select hints 6. Select a hint 7. Notice that the box doesnt fully open. The hint after is on top. Only workaround would be to close the app then revisit the hint. Other than that, game itself is perfect! Dont change a thing.
We are a big fan of room escapes (real life and games) and this is easily one of the best we've played. The variety and breadth of the puzzles is impressive without being overwhelming. One of our favorite aspects is that puzzles can be solved in different orders, removing the linear feeling that so many of these types of games have and creating a much more immersive experience. NOTE: There are some reviews of this game that refer to a glitch at a particular point in the game. We thought so too at first but IT IS NOT A GLITCH, it is part of the intentional and well-crafted storytelling.
Played all 3 and it took us 3 days. OH MY GOSH LOOOOVE.
Great plot and puzzles, well worth the money.
QUESTION FOR THE DEVELOPERS BELOW!! This is one of the best games (the entire series) that we've EVER played on ANY platform including PS4 and Nintendo Switch. We solved the trilogy and the Cabin Escape prologue with NO HINTS and am very impressed by how well it was all put together. DO NOT READ FURTHER UNLESS YOU'VE SOLVED THE TRILOGY AS MAJOR SPOILERS EXIST BELOW: The game is obviously an endless loop. The drug makes Jason forget what happened and he re-lives his own nightmare that he created. But just like any real life escape room, someone needs to reset all the puzzles, and put back all the objects that were moved around. As Jason is the only one playing, who resets the puzzles for him the next time he wakes and has to do it all over again.
Forever Lost 3 is an incredible game. It's the longest and most challenging in the Forever Lost trilogy. Be sure to play through entire series. This way you can follow the story line and and learn from the beginning. Each game gets more progressive in length and difficulty. Someone rated FL3 with 1-star because they became stumped with Ferris Muellers Day Off game inside the game. Not a glitch that you lose the back button, you simply have to solve the puzzles to get out of the game. Apparently, thinking through a game is not for everyone :) Truly can't say enough about this game. The entire family is hoping to see Forever Lost 4!! Nice job Glitch games.
These games are awesome. Please make more.
