In 2025, this is still by far our favorite Tower Defense game. We know TM2 is out, but Id love to see them release new maps for this one. Id buy them.
Yes, there are kind of cute character animations in this game. Wobbly UFOs, lumbering giants, gross unstoppable cockroaches, but the animations do not get in the way of the game play. All TD gamers want is the thrill of setting up defenses, upgrading, placing, and hopefully winning. There has been a trend to make screens so idiotically busy that the pleasure of the strategy disappears Im talking to you, Bloons, and to some extend the sequel to this game. Luckily we still have this simple tower defense game that is cute but not too cute. Simple but not too easy. Developers: this is the game. We think we downloaded 2 and just noped out. Keep this game simple and fun. We bought your expansion packs and they were worth it. Sadly we had to delete everything and Im hoping the previously purchased expansions show up again now that Im setting up the phone again. To fans of TD, there are very few games left that offer this level of engaging strategy with out a bunch of bologna.
We used to play this game years ago, and we just started playing more recently. Its always been a super fun game to play whenever Im not doing anything important, and a nice game to kinda just relax with. 10/10 definitely would recommend.

This game is so awesome! Warning: it is very addictive.
Ive been playing since the release and this is still an all time favorite.
We bought our first Iphone because of this game! It was a 3gs which, at the time, was cutting edge. Turned out we learned to use the phone almost to its full potential but never the less, we bough it because of this game. It it weren't for Tower Madness we would have gotten an Android. Apple would have missed tens of thousands of dollars, as we still buy Iphones and Macs:) Apple should have cut a royalty check to this guys for every one of our purchases:) Never the less, about 15 years later, we still enjoy the simple graphics with funny twists and predictable "rush" of slathering aliens.
We recently have been thinking about this game when we were just a young boy we used to play this game now that Im older we dont play it but when we saw it we were in shock we remember all the joyful memories we had of playing this game even now we cant put down the game.
We remember playing this game 5, and its still a favorite. Shame the multiplayer servers shut down, still fun nonetheless.

This is the best tower defense game Ive ever played you guys should really make another one we would be the first one to play it.
We had been having the feeling that there was a game we wasnt playing anymore but wanted to play. When we went through our not on our iPhone list waaaaay at the bottom was this forgotten gem. This is truly one of the great tower defense games in the genre. We are tickled pink that the developers have migrated this to the current iOS regime and we expect to play it for hours.

This was the best Mobile game Ive ever played, the best tower style defense game for a mobile device ever made. So glad they updated it & brought it back.
Honestly, its really fun. We bought it and got the add free version. Man, spent hours playing this game. So fun.
We love this game so much and we wish you could update it one day with new upgrades for towers like for the mortar it could be World Ending Bomb or something like that and how about a new class like Deadlyclass.
One of the best games ever! Yes, you need to spend a little money for upgrades, but once youve done that youre done. You dont have to continue to spend money. Just play dozens of great tower games as often as you like. Theyre great, and they require real skill! Try saving 10 sheep on every game and youll find out.
If you can add some new levels it would be so great.
This is still the best tower defense game ever made, period. Ive lost more hours than we care to admit, struggling to beat every level. It was years of work (not exaggerating!). We were devastated to find out this game wasnt compatible with our new phone a few years ago. Im ecstatic to find this game updated and working perfectly tonight! We were actually in the App Store hoping to find an acceptable replacement tonight and when we found TM had been updated, we were overjoyed. Thank you Limbic.

It is not on android but we like it and play it occasionally. The game is great for nostalgia and overall experience. We think they should make a game like BTD 6/5 with multi route guns but keep the old ones. We found it to get boring after a while if. The pre build from 2 and fix the resistance system on one it will be better. Also 2s resistance system needs to be rebalanced. Let us explain in 1 their seems to be no resistance on armed troops but 2 is like they are immune. 2 also feels incomplete but 1s duo version for both iPad and iPhone are now the iPhone version which is buggy for iPad users and it is a lot nicer GUI. More maps are needed we played until we got all gold cups on free maps. With a multi route system so we can have even more ways to beat a map but dont do the buy or level up to get access to the weapon or upgrade except the star weapons they can stay the way they are. Their should be a re size option added to do to the gui is messed up on newer devices.

Usually Im not one to complain, but Im gonna complain no Way! When this game initially came out, we got it and absolutely loved it! Made the purchases and everything and got some use out of it, until it crashed! Eventually we deleted it ( and you kept our money! ) and felt like you guys didnt even care. Fast forward to now, and we just downloaded it a week ago, and again, its crashing! Until this is fixed, we refuse to pay one penny on an upgrade! We know our money from before was spent on binge drinking, hookers, and pizza, but could you at least make it where it doesnt crash?! We have the latest iPad so this shouldnt be an issue unless its something on your end.
Love this style of defense game. Having to think about the layout, pretty much open ended. The reason for 3/5 stars is the ads if you pause the game, ad. You log on ad, take a phone call, or text ad. We know ads pay for the free version, in this game we believe t to be a bit over board, almost like its purposely done to make people buy the game, to stop them. All in all we like the game.
We started playing the first game of this trilogy. The graphics where not great but the gameplay was fun. Then tower madness 2 came out! And we were so excited! The graphics where better, they had real circles, high poly res on the guns and effects. Then this one came out… We feel like we went back in time to 1990 before we had amazing processors. The graphics are a joke. The little walking aliens look like still images being filmed one frame per second. THE SHEEP ARE FREAKING RECTANGULAR! Its like they forgot how to make a circle. Gun resolution went down 200% and the effects where half donkey. Seriously its like going from gta5 back to liberty city. GO PLAY THE SECOND ONE INSTEAD ITS MUCH BETTER. We dont know how the devs accepted this as anything equal to they last game.

This is the best tower defense game. Ive been playing it since it came out and we really like it. Ive been playing it on at least 5 different iPhones and we always download and play it.
Got this game on our original iPad and LOVED it. Simple enough for our very young son to enjoy but strategic enough for us to really enjoy. Best game on Apple Store in our opinion. Hope to see more like it.
