This game never got the recognition it deserved… If it did, they would have likely made many expansions like Cut the Rope. This game is very much on par, and better in many ways.
The trick is to complete each puzzle with maximum points on the first shot. Totally doable but requires strategic analysis. A very satisfying experience with a chill vibe.
The music, simple black and white colors, and the simple yet critical thinking game all come together for a great and beautiful game. We're surprised it isn't more popular. It's definitely worth the 99 cents.

The game mechanics are simple, but the solutions to a level can be tricky. There's a bit of creativity needed. This is a fun game when you have a few minutes to spare; recommended.

The ads other users complained about have been removed. Contre Jour strikes a good balance between simplicity and complexity. There are only a few game mechanics, yet the levels are cleverly designed to combine them in inventive ways. Includes many levels. We've played through 4 of 5 worlds and it hasn't stagnated or worn out its welcome. Recommended.
Excellent gameplay and concept, beautiful limbo-esque graphics and brilliant sound make a great all-around game. Touch controls on ground manipulations can be frustrating sometimes, but doesnt really detract from its finer points. 4.5 stars.
The bubble ads that take a lot of space of the menu ruin the style of the game. At least you guys can have a "More Games" button, or something. But overall, an amazing game.
Although the controls can be frustrating, Contre Jour is a stunning game with beautiful music. It falls into the "collect 3 things before reaching the exit" genre but does it with more style than most. Unfortunately this will probably be the last Chillingo game we purchase. The ads are intrusive and ruin the game's aesthetic. Not in a game we PAID for, please.
This game will always be a favorite of ours and was one of our first games on the appstore. Pls look at the reviews here. People hate ur bubbles! This game will die if u dont take them out! Pls what u done is taken a beautiful, amazing, magical experience and destroyed it with ur adverts. Whos stupid idea was that.
We really love this game, so when the iOS update came out & Contre Jour wasn't compatible, we were pretty disappointed. Fast forward to now, when we find it working again but there are these extremely annoying and intrusive bubble ads covering the screen. WTH? Usually we pay money for games because we DON'T want that kind of crap. Please fix.
We purchased the iPhone version on our phone and then wanted to play it on our iPad but it crashes all the time -Ugh!!! Please fix this problem or we'll delete this fun game.

Paid for this awhile back got stuck and quit playing it. Went back to play only to discover that some update inserted some stupidly annoying 'ad bubbles'!?! Sorry but you can definitely be assured we WON'T be buying anymore of your products when you pull stupid stuff like that. Weak.
This little physics game leaves all the others in the dust. From the graphics to the music, it's casual and thought provoking, without demanding a lot of our time. Totally worth the .99 price tag.

This game is really fun and pretty challenging! Really makes you use that brain of yours. And we don't see how some reviews on here say that some levels have impossible odds to get a perfect on every level. We've played about 45 levels and have been able to get a perfect. Definitely worth it. We will say though that at times your fingers get too close trying to multiple things at once that it won't register sometimes. We really love this game though.

We love the sound track but we wish you could get the gamecenter achievements after you already had them done because now we cant complete them even though we beat the entire thing when it first came out.

Purchased it just because the art looks cool, the game is sooooo much fun though. Challenging but not so challenging that it feels impossible at times.
There is not much more to say. Would pay 5 bucks easily for this app even though we got it for $1.
One of the most enjoyable games we've ever bought, well worth the price.
Being on tour traveling the country months and months out of the year this game Has brought us the ability to be able to relax when we need to , help us calm down and go to bed after a long days work even though you're still wired from the Adrenaline from the shows, it's the most beautiful and calming game visually in audio wise we have ever played.
This game is just amazing. The soundtrack goes along perfectly with the amazing graphics. Contre Jour is probably the best game we've played.
