The ads are too long. Much too long and boring. People know in an instance if the add interests them. No need to go on and on and on. Some of the puzzles are crazy and use words that no one knows or ever heard of.

The game is a five star except for the number of ads. Before a puzzle, after a puzzle, ad to see your errors, ad for each hint, even an ad to review your completed puzzle. We get the need for ads, you gotta pay somehow but ease up a bit.
The longest ads that dont close. We are ok with ads but geez, on this app we have to restart it to escape ads.

Ever since last update we cant even open the app. Need we say more! Otherwise we loved the app.
We love this app, had to reinstall because old one ran out. Ive played these for years before we get out of bed in the morning. When we had to delete it we felt list! But then we found the update on the App Store. HURRAY.

We have since found out all the glitches were due to an Apple update. Apple has installed a new update that resolved all the issues users were experiencing. We were actually informed about this Apple software update glitch by another app tech support. As soon as the new update became available, we installed. This app is now running as usual. The only thing new that will not go away is an ad that pops up before we can play the daily crossword. Never have we had to watch an ad to play the dailywhats up with that? Why do we have to have a tutorial about the home page EVERY time we open the app? We can understand the first time after an update, but every single time? And why all of the sudden is there sound? We dont need to hear every letter we type! We turn off sound, but its back every time we open app. It used to save all our preferences, such as medium puzzle and no sound, but not anymore. Getting so annoying Im looking for another app.
Puzzles would be great if it was possibly to choose which word to do next. Your set up often blocks doing a connecting word that would furnish a clue. ITSG puzzles on Samsung phones allow this and are much preferred.
Great selections, easy to hard.
Ads, but not ridiculous. Good range of difficulty. Beginner to intermediate play, pros will get bored.
Like playing, wish we could go back when we miss a day. Doesnt load consistency. Have to delete and reload several times a week.
Ease of use is five star but some of the clues are way off base. For example, the clue presently had a solution of soon and the clue propellant spray can had an answer of aerosol which is not a propellant but rather a mixture of such.
Instantly loved this App, as well as their Sudoku App. Both have been very well thought out. Paid for the ad free option after only a couple of games because we knew we would keep it.

We have tried many different crossword apps and while they start off fun, they quickly become difficult to the point of either paying to continue or uninstalling it. However with this app, not only does it offer 3 daily puzzles at different levels but allows hints if needed without having to pay for them. It does have ads but for a small cost it can be turned off. Do yourself and your brain a favor and get this app.

The clues are fine, but the sound each letter makes is incredibly loud and annoying.
Some of the ads dead end and freeze the program and one has to delete the app and download it again. Other than that, we enjoy the puzzles.
There are some ads but they havent interrupted the crossword. The crosswords arent that hard, even medium isnt too hard to solve. We havent tried the hard one yet. We do these puzzles everyday. Just love it.

We have two main complaints with this game. It gets really expensive, really fast. First we paid $5 to stop the ads. You would think that after paying that amount of money you'd be able to play the game, but after you exhaust the few provided puzzles, you have to buy expensive puzzle packs to keep playing. This game could end up costing you a fortune over time if you play enough. Secondly, too many of your words nonsensically end in "S". We're well read and we have an extensive vocabulary, but we've never heard of some of the words you present. When we see the word associated with your clue, they make no sense whatsoever.
Good crossword but all sorts of glitches requiring reloading game. Disappointing indeed.
The puzzles are quick and fun. The hard puzzle we would rate as easy. The medium and easy the user should do for time. The puzzles are dated. They seem to focus prior to 2000. The real issue is the ads. One would expect ads in a free app. But the ads in this app are OBNOXIOUS. They are REDUNDANT and INSANELY LONG. There are MULTIPLE ads between loading and starting a puzzle. IRRITATING.

Im not one of those who has a knack for solving riddles or puzzles. Although Im definitely up there in age, we still have a large vocabulary. The Penny Dell Daily Crossword is an enjoyable part of our day. It works for us.

We love doing these crossword puzzles. Reminds us of when we were young and solving them with our grandmother. They do get challenging at times and we like the 3 levels of difficulty in the daily puzzles. Great game.
