Sherlock ZEN is a Education/Puzzle game from Everett Kaser, first launched in 4th April 2015.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 46+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Sherlock ZEN Stand Out

Sherlock is a computerized version of logic puzzles, where you're presented with a series of clues that help you determine the exact locations of all the images on the playing board. The puzzles are all 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6. Each row of the puzzle contains images of the same type (faces, houses, numbers, fruit, street signs, letters, etc). The game scrambles the locations of the items in each row (without showing you their locations) and then presents to you a set of graphical clues that describe the positional relationships of different images. You use the clues to deduce where things can't be (and where they HAVE to be) until you know where all of the images are located. 50,000 puzzles in each size for a total of 150,000 puzzles! The puzzles in the Free, Pro, Ultra, and Zen versions of the game are all unique, the four versions of the game share NO common puzzles.

This Education game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

Fantastic game that keeps things moving in the brain area! Well crafted game that keeps giving.

We have played this game since it first came out in the DOS days.. We have had to reinstall it several times because it quits on its own. Everett Kaser is a wack-a-doo anti-Trumper and has no intention of fixing the app to stop crashing.

We've played this game at least twenty years through multiple platforms. It's great for intricacy; really keeps our brain focused. We also find it oddly soothing. When we're mildly agitated this game makes it go away. We'd love it if there were more Everett Kaiser games available for iPad. We've played and enjoyed many of them over the years, but Sherlock was always our favorite.

Like so many others, Ive played this game for DECADES. Our first purchase was in the early 90s. We still have the original floppy disc. This is a fun game. It helps keep us mentally sharp. And it gives us a good break from a very mentally demanding job.

We have ultra on our iPad mini and both are great fun.

Loved playing the PC/Windows version. Was sad when it stopped running on a later Windows version. So happy ro find it for our iPad. Though Im not as fast as we were on our PC we find this is our go to game.

We love this logic game. Its perfect for when Im stuck waiting somewhere. Unfortunately, it does not seem to play well with the current OS. :(.

Its impossible to say how long Ive been playing this game. We first played the game from a floppy disk on our computer in DOS! When the windows version came out, our dad made us a program so we could get back to DOS to run our original version. When we found the iOS version a few years ago we were so thrilled to see the original DOS art and design! This game is addictive in the best possible way. It is an awesome challenge for keeping the eyes and mind sharp. Ive never found another puzzle we enjoy as much. We do crossword, cryptogram, sudoku and more and NONE can beat Sherlock. Thanks from the bottom of our heart to the developer of this game for giving us countless hours of fun over the (literal) decades!! Worth every penny and more <3.

Everett Kaser games populate most of the places in our top 10 favorite games. Unfortunately, most are only available on PCS. Sherlock is our most played game on our iPhone. We would love a version of Hero's Hearts.

This game is so fun and addicting! The different levels make it challenging, and toucan see your top 15 scores, so youre always competing against yourself. Love it.

Great game. Heck of a workout for our mind. Dont like that we had to rebuy it. But to update to ad free and no in app purchases, the developer had to stop support for the original version. And honestly, several years of fun for the few dollars we are out is great. We recommend this game to everyone. Kids can play the 4×4 grid to learn basic logic with handicaps and hints. Adults can try their mind on 6×6 with no hints or handicaps and really push themselfs. We found this game over a decade ago on a win 95 computer with a 150 free games cd. Then in 2011 we found the app. Its 2017 and we bought zen. When we beat it we will buy the other versions. We were upset at first about rebuying the game but when the developer explained that he did it to get rid of in app purchases, we felt it was justified. But we would ask for ONE in app purchase. To spend under the total cost of the rest of the games combined to get ALL the puzzles in one app. Or sell a 5th version that is more expensive and has all the puzzles. Either way we will play them all. And here is a goal for you. 6×6 grid with no handicaps, no wrong move notifications, and only one try through it(no playing it after you beat it). 1:27. We got lucky and moved fast. Still dont know how we managed it. And if you run out of 6×6 puzzles in less than a year, you truly are a puzzle god.

We finally 'ran out' of games on Sherlock Ultra and grabbed this one for the first time. Love these games and the logic behind them. They never get too hard, and there's always a hint available — just a hint! — if you just don't see that one key move. Everett's games always work perfectly on our iPads.

We discovered this game as a kid and really loved it. On a whim we tried to search for it and was surprised to find it here in all its 80s glory. Paying for this because it made such an impression on us and still remains a unique and interesting game.

Ive loved playing it but after the most recent iOS update, it wont run. It starts to load and shuts down. Im bummed because it was our wind down game before bed.

Love this game, but it keeps crashing!!! When we choose the final answer it closes completely, then it wont load any games! Please fix this asap.

…we bought the previous full version, thousands of games that we had not played yet, and then a decision was made to make a new app for the OS update, and now we have to buy it again. We have played EK software FOR DECADES. We believe in supporting the cause, but this decision was not entirely ethical, IMO.

Love the game but the app constantly freezes. We have had to delete and reload so many times generally in the middle of a game.

We have been a customer of Everett Kaisers puzzles for over a dozen years. Now we are having a hard time closing this game without the home button. It has been a great run. Thank you for 12+ years of play.

We love this app but it started crashing today. And it wont go past #1284. It says its supposed to have 50000 to play. So we dont know. :(.

We loved this app but now it just crashes. Please fix! Thanks.

We bought this game and after few month using it just started falling down every time when we almost done with one of the sets. And we gave chance this game, but few more month gone and nothing changes – game stopped working properly.

No matter how we configure the settings, we cant get it to not show any initial answers, like the other versions. We would like to play in the hardest mode possible, please! Otherwise it is too easy and not fun to play.

We played this when we were younger, on our parents' computer. So much fun to play it again! We hope you'll add the tile editor, but even if not, thanks so much for making this game available for ios.

We've loved this game for years. So, we were happy when we found it for iphone. Now we have this version which we can play on the ipad. It brings back memories. Thanks.

We have been playing since Windows .. We may not need 15,000 puzzles but you deserve the support! One of our all time favorite logic games .. On both Windows and iOS.

Found this game years ago and love having it go with us everywhere. Only improvement would be a pause button on the timer. Thanks, Everett Kaser.

Wow, we remember playing this years ago on our Windows machine… We're always looking for good logic puzzle games, and this one still hits the spot! Thanks for the port to iOS.

Crashes a lot. Bug fix, please. Paid for the zen feature and starting to wish we hadn't.
