Community Insight:
While we did experience a few hiccups such as not being able to grab an object or the game not responding to our touch, it seemed to be related to the touch screen environment, not actual game flaws. The story was great, very engaging and easy to suspend disbelief. The puzzles were unique and varied. The game is long and involved. We like it as well as the other House of 1000 Doors (Serpent) and we really hope they produce another in the series. Well done and well worth the full price.

We are so disappointed by the review that we have to give this game. The main part was absolutely fabulous. The storyline was engaging, the graphics were beautiful, the minigames were just the right amount of challenging, and the HOPs were refreshingly diverse. We were prepared to leave a five star rating. We started the bonus chapter then took a short break. When we tried to log back on, we saw a quick glimpse of the game title screen, then the blue Big Fish logo appeared…and stayed. Forever. We tried to reopen the game several times, but to no avail. Not only was we prevented from finishing the bonus chapter, but we couldn't play the main game or reach any of the extra content. With such a major glitch, perhaps we should rank this even lower. However, it's possible that the bug was due to our specific hardware (iPad Air 2) and the game runs fine on older devices. Thus, we are only going to drop our rating from 5 to 3 stars.
We dislike games that have creep atmospheres, like this one. But, we thought we'd give it a try. It was okay, but not great. We found it confusing in places. The use of the "hand" was odd. It took a couple of attempts for it to activate, and, why was we tracing a path? Stupid. Placement of items was a pain because you needed precise placement for an item to go where it was supposed to go. And the train puzzle was VERY strange. We didn't understand what we were supposed to do, and we didn't care. We skipped it. Anyway, after trying the free trial, we decided that this just wasn't a game we enjoyed.
Game was on sale and you couldnt purchase the full game from in game or from the big fish app. What we can play is fun. Too bad we cant give you our money and play the rest.
Not great so far but we will try it for a bit longer. The ambient sound effects are weird. We swear they recorded it while doing laundry! You know that noise jeans make in the dryer? That sound …… And no, there's no dryer in the story. Just got to the part where they want us to pay for the rest. Not going to do it. Just so many better games out there. This one is clumsy.
We have shut down, restarted, etc, but the game cannot be played beyond this point. We cannot give the steering wheel to the mime. Waste of time, waste of money.
Glitches where we cant pick up the green valve. Cant go any farther.
How can you put on sale in 2018 the original version of a game showing no updates to correct all of the glitches people complained about. Shame on the new owners we've heard Big Fish has.
Played the intro, wont let us unlock full version. Frustrating.
Lexconner, we had the same problem. We tried to purchase the game but it wont let us. Really a shame because we really like this series and this is the only one we havent played.
Will not let us unlock game, cant play.
Tried to install twice on ipad2 w 9.2 software. Freezes and won't get past first scene she practices her powers on, so glad we did free trial first.
