This is an enjoyable, addictive word game! Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that we wish it gave the number of words possible for each puzzle. That would add to the challenge. Today we've had issues of the game freezing (have played many, many times & this is the 1st for that issue), hopefully it doesn't continue. Thanks for offering this fun, brain sharpening game for free.
So glad we found this since we used to love Word Warp Extreme but they haven't updated or maintained that game or Wikipedia in years. This is much better and stretches our mind to find more words. Love it.
This is a terrific way to stretch your mind a bit. We like to try to get past the number of points shown.
Easy game, although we don't know how the goals are set. Most are set very low, a few are challenging to meet. The 5 letter words are easy. Occasionally we are not able to figure out the primary word. Others have multiple choices. We're not sure how "words" are added to the dictionary. It doesn't penalize for unacceptable guesses and there are no timers. Some are not anything we've come across and a few that we know are words aren't accepted.
We really enjoy this app. It's a great brain game. We play everyday.
No pressure unless we give it to ourselves because we can't get enough words.
Great app, excellent time passer. Other than an occasional freeze up, (which is probably from us playing it so much, lol) we really like it.
This is a really fun game and love it !! The only thing wrong is that the game crashes quite often, and it seems to be because of the ads ! Some of the other Boy Howdy games crash also !! Hopefully this can be fixed.

It would really be good if the people who make this game could add more words we feel like Im playing the same 50 or so words all the time and there are way more words out there than that. We like this game a lot but it really needs lots more words to play.

Im 77 years old and this helps stimulate our brain to think and see words. We learn new words as well by simply trying combinations.
We love this game. Ive played many other spelling games and none give us the challenges and joy of this one. Its very relaxing and the only adds are banner adds. Dont have to spend money on boosters or add-ons. Enjoy spelling and winning.
Ok game. We wish it would tell us whether Ive found all possible options. But we barely playonce Ive found the full 7 letter word, it says we can click next level. If we do that, it just locks the letters but doesnt advance. We have to close the game and restart. Meh.
Great for those times at Drs Offices, or waiting for wife shopping. Can stop and pick up where you left off at any time. Very responsive developer team. Probably will never call them though, theyre so well designed! Good job, Mom.
We love the challenge of discovering the entire word at first glance before twisting or making any words. Our young nieces are getting into it as well. We just love the Boy Howdy games! Thank you for making the games free of charge! Thats a rarity these days.

We wish we could figure out how many words are possible. And sometimes, some words a suspect, made up. Still addictive though.
Just enough of a challenge so the game is fun & educational One of 5 Great Boy Howdy games – they are terrific game developers BC – we played it before the Coronavirus DC – it is keeping us sane during the Coronavirus stay in place AC- Oh so looking to play it after the Coronavirus is gone.
Easy game to learn, yet interesting and mind stretching.
Im addicted to this game. We are not a word/ spell game lover. We hate Scrabble. This game is fun though. It allows you to continually twist the letters around and you get a big bonus if you can figure out the secret word that is hiding there. Ive learned a lot of new words and we feel its keeping our brain active. We enjoy playing it so much we lose track of time.
This was our favorite game. We would have given it 5 stars, until recently. Now, we will tap a letter, and the letter next to it will register instead. Its almost impossible to play now. Its certainly no longer fun. UPDATE: our review was read by the staff, and they fixed the bug immediately. Great service! Great game once again! Our favorite game because we can challenge ourselves. There is no annoying timer. We try to spell unique words and we try to spell more words than the goal score. Relaxing, but challenging and fun. Try it.
We like word games and Boy Howdy Word Jewels has provided a lot of great fun. This game was fun for a while until we discovered it accepting all kinds of non words for credit. We just used the word coonty as the large one in the group. Lots of oddball non words accepted ruins it. Every word game we have played has flaws in words accepted. Why cant these games be linked to a high quality dictionary.

Challenging without causing stress. No timers. No pressure. Fun and it is increasing our vocabulary.
This is a lot of fun to play, but after a while, the scrambled letters do repeat. So you end up forming words from scrambles that have previously appeared.
Since the latest update the letter jewels are so sensitive that the jewel has to be touched dead center. Just a little to the left or right and the other letter is hit. Game is almost unplayable. 5 stars because its a great game Great response!! Issue has been fixed. Five stars are not enough.
At first… We couldn't play this game enough-it was that much Fun. Then… It began dropping Letters-which eventually progressed into Whole Words… We found ourselves thinking- we Should Have LISTENED To The-REVIEWS… We began Not playing game as much-because the fun was Taken Out of playing it. Finally… It Stopped putting in letters for words and pretty much-Wouldn't Work altogether. That's When… We…Had NO Choice… But to…GET RID Of THIS Game. It's A-SHAME… Because THIS Game Was FUN To Play…AT FIRST. Sometimes Things AREN'T What They SEEM. Lesson Learned.

When we switched to a new device recently, Julie of Boy Howdy helped us personally to transfer our high score and highest level from the old device. Her response was quick, thorough, and personable. Great games, great people, great company.
You dont have to guess the all-letter word to progress just get enough points. The available words seem pretty all-inclusive, unlike some other games.

At level 3590 and still not bored with this game.
We just downloaded the game and it was what we were seeking. However, when we complete a level, it wont let us move on by pressing next level. We have to close out the game and go back in for another word. What am we doing wrong.
Great way to exercise your neurons.
Fun word game. Challenging but not frustrating. If the word (using all letters) is not found you can still pass the level by making enough other words. If youre stuck, you can go on to the next level.
