Community Insight:

Just want to say this proved to be a really great game. Adventure part was challenging, story line was interesting, and no serious glitches. We played to the end and played bonus game as well. Just enough hidden objects and other little games thrown in, and the plot twist with The security guard Victor.

This was a great game in a great serried! We had zero technical issues on our iPad Pro! Definitely recommend.

Loved the premise. We also loved all the extra touches, such as a tablet with your map, etc. On it, matrix-esque visuals, etc. Innovative puzzles, varied HOS, length is good. If you love academia, scientists gone wrong, and fun, then this game is for you.

It's simple, but fun. Play this series with our niece.

Enjoying this game. Looks like the chapters are short but we are finding lots to do.

Our favorite type of genre is one that does not involve chasing after supernatural entities and instead presents a real-life murder mystery in which we become completely immersed within the plot as it unfolds. This is why "Dead Reckoning" is one of our favorite series. Each successive sequel continues to capture our attention with engaging twists and suspenseful story lines, set within true-to-life locations. In this sequel, we are thrilled to return to university life, vicariously re-living those days when we were a student, except this time we get to solve a murder mystery. One particular aspect we admire in this series is that the characters' personalities are usually fleshed out, thanks to the investigative nature of the plot. We love how this developer puts a refreshing spin on gameplay, implementing state-of-the-art technology utilized by hi-tech institutions. For example, you utilize a tablet equipped with various Apps which functions as an all-in-one guide to help you get around. The interrogative techniques are revamped with a contemporary flair; however, we won't disclose those details to avoid ruining your surprise. One remark about the teleport map is that you need to directly click on the light blue color beneath the indicators to transport to locations; otherwise, you might find yourself clicking endlessly, while remaining stationary. The sometimes-challenging HOSs incorporate unique interactions and implement technological elements. In one particular scene, we loved the creativity in finding the differences between split-paneled depictions in a newspaper. We are surprised that a few scenes are revisited, although the formats are altered. Some of the puzzles are technologically oriented, thus complementing the theme of the storyline. The pinball-machine game was fun and offered a nice degree of difficulty. Be sure to tap everywhere because there are a lot of amusing achievements to fulfill relating to student life, such as waking up a sleeping student. One trivial gripe is that the graphics are still fuzzy. However, the reason we deducted a star is because teleporting from the map is like being stuck on a deserted island you just can't get off it. Other than that, this is a solid game, and hence the 4 stars.

A potentially great game ruined by the fact that sound cuts out constantly, and requires force closing and reopening the game to get it to work again.

Normally, we enjoy this series. However, there are too many glitches. The game is frozen at the basketballs in the fraternity room. We cant get past this. Very disappointed. Please fix.

Thinks are really not clear and the games dont work very hard to do its like they dont work just stared and had to skip 2 of the 3 games will not be buying this game.

Seriously, BigFish, you need to do something about EIPIX. This game had so many technical issues it was a chore to play! The graphics were terrible, the game was extremely short, and the teleport map did not function properly. You had to tap on a location about 20 times to teleport. In addition, it was extremely hard to manipulate objects. At the beginning of the game, it took us 30 minutes to get the desk unlocked because the game wouldnt allow us to pick up the key properly. Its unfortunate because the storyline was good and some of the puzzles were fun. When a game is that difficult to play though, you get fed up and just want to be done. We have been complaining about EIPIX lack of quality assurance and this was it at its worst! We wont go into any other game features because we dont feel like this developer merits our time! We would have rated it 4 stars had it run properly, but that wasnt the case. Gamers, if you want to be as miserable and frustrated as we were with this game, by all means purchase it. We stupidly did so without even playing the free trial because we like this series. What a mistake! Hopefully we will get something that runs well next week, like Domini! Happy gaming to all (not this game).

Directions on how to do them are non existent and dont waste your time trying to figure them out.

We have played these types of games for years and this is the first time we have ever come upon a game that had an interface this poorly designed. This is sad because you can tell the creators put a lot of work and effort into this game however, accessing levers is needlessly complicated and many of the operations for clues are not easy to understand. Again we have played dozens of these type of games on the hardest difficulty (so we know what Im talking about) and this is by far the worst one to interact with.

We have begun playing this game twice now, and both times we quit. Out of the hundreds of games we have played, we have only left a game unfinished maybe two or three times, even when it became a chore to finish. We purchased this game without playing the demo because we really like this series. We guess we can no longer do that, because many of our favorite series have proven unworthy of our devotion lately. There are so many technical issues within the first few scenes, we had to quit. Items were difficult to manipulate, or just did not work the way they were meant to. We finally gave up on opening the desk using the key. Life is too short to waste time becoming frustrated and angry over something which should be relaxing and enjoyable. Big Fish, please, please, please give us quality games that work the way they are supposed to work.

The other reviews are right – this is a boring game and not very well designed. Save your money for something thats actually entertaining.

We purchased this game sight unseen because we love murder mysteries and the quality of Eipix games. Boy, we were proven wrong! Our favorite thing to do is to locate and select hidden objects in each scene. We couldnt select the first object (mortarboard). The teleporting map does not teleport. The map does not show the hidden objects location. Slow to refresh. Crappy graphics, etc. A waste of $3.99.

We normally love this series, however this one was not up to par. Very disappointed, as we felt that there were just way too many puzzles and overall navigation was a chore. We personally, did not experience any glitches, just painfully boring. Recommend playing the trial and seeing if its your cup of tea. Definitely not ours. This series took a wrong turn on this one. Hopefully, our next release will be better. KdBoots.

We are not a fan of this series, as the map is almost useless, and response time is sluggish. Overall, the storyline is awkward and trite. We may not finish as it is almost a chore to continue.
