Community Insight:

We love this app we have been learning breeds since we were ten but this has opened up much more breeds to us just yesterday we passed the expert level without losing any stars this has been very helpful.

We love this app because it helps you learn about dogs and we give it a 5 star rating because it earns it.

Hi, if ur seeing this, Doberman is spelled without an extra n even though some people think so because that is how you spell Karl Fredrick Louis Dobermann. Also, Dobermans are the sweetest and arguably the most trainable dog out there! Please update description! Thanks.

We were in a fifty-seven hour road trip from Guatemala to Iceland to meet our long-long second cousin twice removed. We were very excited until we realized we had no entertainment. We were walking to our car from Chick-Fil-A when we noticed that our phone was taped to our back for some reason this whole time, so we took it off. After entering our password, ABC123, we searched through our phone looking for a good game. We had no WiFi, but we realized one of our apps dont need WiFi: Dog Breeds!!!!!!!! We started playing over and over again for over two hours. After failing a ton of times, we decided to actually learn the dog breeds. It was so amazing, because not only can you be quizzed on dog breeds, but you can also be educated while doing so! By the time we were in Iceland, we were on the top 100 of guessing dog breeds in Kazakhstan! After reuniting with our second cousin twice twice removed, Guacamole Ketchups |||||. We figured out that he also has the app Dog Breeds, and hes in the top fifty of dog breed guessing of Kazakhstan!!!!!!!!!! We bonded so greatly of dog breeds that we became besties overnight. Fast-forward twenty years, and us and Guacamole were thirty-nine. We hung out allllllllllll the time. Eventually, we went to the store and met this nice guy named Bryan McSeashells. We talked about mustard for a little while, and eventually that came to a discussion about the app Dog Breeds. It turns out he is in the top ten in guessing dog breeds in Kazakhstan! What a coincidence! Fast forward two years, us and Bryan McSeashells got married yesterday! Ryan McSheashells best man was none other than Bryans bestie, Jimmy Cupcakes! That is how this app changed our life. BTW, Im #1 at dog breed guessing in Kazakhstan right now.

We really like your game because it helps us learn more about different kinds of dogs and it is really fun too.

It is true that theyre prone to dog/animal aggression, genetically. (not human aggression) because of the generations of selective breeding specifically for that trait along with gameness. We just wish that youd say they need to be properly managed rather than trained with obedience, because genetic behaviors are not trainable. Small error, but overall im glad you were able to address the aggression because its a very important and factual trait of the breed regardless if people like it or not.

Id pay for a version without ads.

You can answer maybe 5 questions and then you get a 30second + ad. You will spend more time watching the ads than actually playing the quiz. Not worth it.

So Im in the dog fancy and can name most breeds recognized by the AKC. This is most likely produced by people in the UK based on the names used for some breeds, but unfortunately there are multiple breeds that are either the wrong picture for the breed listed as the answer, we wouldnt have an issue if everything was accurate. Expert is easy because they choose completely different looking breeds for the other options, some photos are of dogs that dont adhere to the breed standard (regardless of if theyre using the AKC, CKC, the KC, or FCI). They use a lot of puppies for photos which is a poor choice considering that they dont also do adult representations of the same breeds. The descriptions are either super obvious or just poor in choice. Theres also an obnoxious amount of ads. As for the people complaining about no pit bulls most of those commenters dont realize that 1) no dog is a nanny dog and its harmful to put dogs in those positions to have children cross their boundaries the only breed actually given the term nanny dog (albeit unethical in premise) is the Staffordshire Bull terrier. 2) the majority of pit bulls people see in shelters or what people call pit bulls are actually just bully mixes, theres the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the American Bulldog, and more. So including a generic pit bull would be factually incorrect. 3) The only Pit bull is the American Pit bull Terrier and they are bred to be dog aggressive for dog fighting before that was made illegal. Regardless of other peoples comments in the reviews, this app is subpar as to accuracy, photo choices, ad frequency, and questions/facts being poor. This would be much better if those things were addressed. We would recommend to the developer that they use The KC and the AKC website to inform their choices of photos and facts about breeds that they use to improve the accuracy. And also creating an actual expert mode, Ive had our hands on the top representations of almost every breed they used in their expert mode and Id at best consider it advanced not considering the glaring errors.

The descriptions are often badly written, sometimes so badly that thy are unintelligible. There are obviously translation errors, unless several breeds of dog have wool instead of fur or hair. Then there are the frequent, long ads, that are often violent. Not a game that is suitable for children. However, if you are an adult, dont mind ads, and dont read the descriptions, it can be educational.

We dont like were u didnt add pitbulls Im back from like 1 month ago IF UR SEEING THIS add pitbulls there not all mean. We saw that the app got updated so we downloaded it and Im very impressed no more 4 stars! 5 stars now.

Its a grammatical horror show. And we dont trust anything it has to say about the dogs. Some seem right some seem off and some dont make any sense.

The best game Ive played in our life. Truly life changing, life altering.

We love the game we are a dog lover so we love this game but we with that had more dog breeds.

We love dogs and used to name dogs we saw outside but now we have app thanks for making it.

This is a good way to learn dog breeds thank you.

Good, but could be a bit more challenging. The breeds are kinda simple, and easy.

This game is so much fun! Only its kind of easy and we dont like the lives thing it could use a few updates but other than that we love it the dogs are so cute.

Ummmi don't get it. Pit bulls arent bad with kids, in fact they are amazing (but it is a hazard to have a pit bulls with two fighting kids cause of what PEOPLE bred them to do) pit bulls are so good with children that they earned the nickname nanny dog. And if you think that pitbulls are all evil, go check out pit bulls that have been through torment and that were being forced to fight their own kind.

It said one dog is a deerhound butthe sad truth is we know our dog breeds it was a Irish wolfhound duh.

Nice app n all but for pitbulls the description shed no light on how they were deemed the 2nd most tolerant dogs, only to Labrador retriever being first. Instead, it said theyre aggressive, and only said do not leave a child alone with the dog (honestly dont leave any poor dog alone with a kid that doesnt know how to be around a dog and be NICE cuz then they deserve the bite) but pitties are our favorite doggies theyre so happy and cheery!!! Its the german shepherds and chihuahuas and jack russells you gotta watch out for.

If the game was a little bit easier we would not be writing this.

For 20+% of the breeds in the quizzes.

The app freaking kicks you out when you are on like level 120/140. It kicked us out for nothing when we were on the expert version and like 30 questions away. This made us almost scream our lungs out. It didnt save anything. So please add something where it saves your work when you get out of the app. Conclusion: DONT BUY THIS FREAKING WASTE OF TIME. TOO LITTLE AMOUNT OF HEARTS. ADD 7 INSTEAD OF 5.

We love to guess dog breeds you could say its our hobby. This game is good but it needs more levels, like maybe a few in between easy and hard and maybe some harder then hard… We like it but it needs more breed and more levels.

Cute app that doesn't require a lot of our phone's memory to work great. Five stars.
