Cats are Liquid – A Light in the Shadows is a 2D platformer about a cat with the ability to transform into liquid.
The game has 90 levels, that are spread across 9 different worlds. It has a minimalistic but colorful style. Along the way the game introduces new mechanics, like flying and summoning bombs to break down walls.
The story is about a cat whose owner locked her in a set of rooms. She desperately wants to get out, but the rooms just keep continuing. Along the way the cat meets a new "friend" and gains new abilities. The story is told through small in game text pieces.

Platformers are not our favorite, but we really like this game! We also dont get enough kinda scaryish games anymore so yea. We like cat. Ive beaten ALitS and ABP and there both amazing. We also really like the music.
This is an amazing game, theres cool mechanics, cute cats, and some lore.
This game is incredible! The mechanics are beautifully simple while still being challenging enough that it isnt boring. The story is fantastic, and presented very well. Its a difficult game that took us a fairly long time to complete, but it was so worth it! Ive redownloaded and replayed this multiple times, and gotten most of the achievements. We still havent quite beaten the two to finish it without dying and without killing anything (in one run), because those are incredibly difficult, but not so much so that we hate the game. On the contrary, we love it so much that we keep coming back to try to get those last pesky achievements! Not to mention, there are barely any ads! Literally, we only get ads after completing a world, and sometimes not even then. Its absolutely wonderful to be able to play without getting bashed in the face every time we hit a checkpoint. In summary, 10/10 game, everyone should play cats are liquid. Its a crime against humanity that more people dont know about it.
So this game is amazing!! We love it but there is some issues. First, mostly for the gray block, all the buttons are so close together that when we move sometimes we accidentally click the X button which spawns the stupid little grey block which messes up the game play therefore we die because of the stupid gray block. Second.. Jk there isn't a second it's a great game overall. But please fix this and make the buttons smaller :(.
Cats are Liquid (CaL) is one of the best games Ive played, its so cool, and we like how it has lots of lore and stuff :D.
This game is good.Last Quarter Studios is the best game creator in the universe. On each world and level. You move on platforms to get to the exit. Best part. Is to 130 levels. Why we get to hug all the fluffies around the levels? Because. The are superior cuddly, soft, fluffy, furry, fuzzy and even fussy. Even those who are spikes oranges that harm the cat. Purple cat at world 9 room 10 gives you A SECRET. Thanks for the content.
They have done a GREAT job on the first two but we are still waiting for the third game to come out because we think it will be even better than these two.
One of, if not the best mobile game Ive EVER played. The dialogue is absolutely incredible!! And was soooo much deeper than we expected. The controls are so smooth and they feel so natural, and the cat is absolutely adorable!! We cant get over the premise, it moved us so much (Spoilers) the emotional roller coaster we went through with this cat our goshhh. We felt so sad, but absolutely compelled to finish. Highly recommended.
This game is great. First, we love cats, and we also love story. This game offers both. The mechanics are smooth and easy to understand and use, and the story is actually interesting. We played through this game like five times already. The ads are not overwhelming and makes the game enjoyable. That you for making this amazing game (^-^)/.
Im not great at computer games and we found this was really fun. There are some rooms that are super hard but it doesnt just get harder and harder a you go along. Also ads are minimal which is awesome. Id buy a game from this company its that good.
This game is the best it is fun a fun challenging and there is so much stuff to do we just finished the first main part and there is still so much other stuff to do plus we just found out about a buffet version so we will try that latter but it is an amazing game and yes we are a real person.
We have 2 suggestions for both abp and alits, 1: multiplayer mode so you can play with friends and it would show your nickname above your cat and the other players head, and the other players would be able to choose their cat, for example, one cat is the main cat, (lumi) and another player could choose blue or green (but they would not have special powers) they would still be able to switch characters in abp though. 2: invincible mode, for alits, when you finish the game, in extras, there should be a button to either play invincible or not. In abp, theres just a button in settings when you finish that game. Overall, it was a great and heartwarming game, with a lot of depth to it.
We almost never write reviews, but if any game deserves one, its this one. We were so obsessed with a platform game that we sat for three hours to finish everything from world 4 to the end of all the versions. We never would have though before that we could feel bad for a small grey cube, let alone from a platform game. This game was absolutely amazing and we cannot believe that it is available for FREE. Probably our favorite offline game ever.

ALitS and its prequel, A Better Place, are some of the only hard mobile games Ive played. Its storyline is so sad and complex, and Im so glad they made ABP.
We love the ale its great! Some parts mad us a bit mad but we still got to the end after dying a few times! There was no glitches we found and we found the game pretty cute! We enjoy how theres still stuff to to after beating the game.
We LOVE this game, Ive played it 4 times all the way through and was just as fun as the first time, we love the Grey box.
This game is shockingly high quality! The story is very interesting. The cat, the character you play as, is a blob of adorable designing. Im really curious as to what the owner looks like! The game overall is short depending on your skill in these types of games. We finished it in three days, but its just that good! For a free game we highly recommend it! Yeah, sure, the physics can be a little bit annoying, but thats not a bug, thats to add more quality, because a game isnt fun when you can just walk and jump and you win. Overall, great game, we recommend it! TLDR: High quality, deep story, recommended.

It is worse then cats are liquid abp but it is still great. We have noticed tons of glitches though but it is fun to break.

This game is amazing, theres challenges and emotions. We loved the little gray square with all our heart. The ending nearly had us in tears. You all did amazing.
ALitS is a game that has stuck with us for years. Its incredible gameplay and story stay with the player, and has really interested us. One thing we would add is maybe more info on the purple one? The story is kind of confusing, so maybe more levels?(Totally the only reason we want more levels) Other than small details, the game is absolutely amazing and one of our favorite games.
Please make more games like this there were several moments where we wanted to cry in this game and we loved it we hope to see some more games like this in the future.
When we first played the game we wasnt expecting much and we git kinda annoyed on some levels but at the last level that ending we did not expect it and the companion was the same the reset was meh but this was a amazing game.
We love this game. Its kinda sad especially at the end when it has messages (spoilers for pretty much the entire paragraph) about how it was the cat who locked herself in the closet the whole time. And her claustrophobia. Overall its a pretty cool game. You gotta use strategies to help you get through stages. This game doesnt explain the story very clearly, so ill just make up our own. We think the cat locked herself in the closet on purpose because she was sad about her owner dying so she died ig. But it could also be that her owner died and then she got passed to an abusive owner and then locked herself maybe? Because the game says that it feels much better staying in there at the end. Im not sure. There are videos out there explaining the lore behind it but we havent watched it yet sadly. It also really surprised us when the cat touched the white wall that teleports you to the next stage instead it fell at the last level. That was a cool plot twist, so was the fact that she locked herself in and not her owner. Btw im talking about these things all from standard mode, we havent played the others yet. But id rate this a 5/5. Very good and sad game. Btw cute cat.

ALitS is great but First, we hate sweet but salty girl because she put a red heart. Second, Graphics is old. Third, the achievements are creepy. Please Make the achievements lighter. Final, we need more levels. Please Fix This.
It was too sad that Lumi died in the end, let alone her not knowing we still loved the game, we still play it we love the audio, the gameplay, and a great prequel to ABP, yeah we know, we do know, that this game is meant to be second, and we do know that Lumi dies in the end, imma nerd, anyway great game.

Game is amazing, simple to play and not too hard. As you progress(spoilers) you get more abilities. It starts getting sadder and sadder. The end is really sad and confusing. You unlock more things to play when you finish, so you dont just have to replay it over and over Great game to play when your bored the story will last you about a week at maximum, though we only took a couple days to finish. Gonna go play the second one now.

1 Hold the down arrow while jumping you go really fast and a longer distance 2 to get over hard gaps you should use the float ability to get over it if you have the ability yet.

When we first saw this game we thought it would have been with a cost for the full game, but to our surprise it was completely free! When we saw realized that there was a story we were intrigued and we were right to be so, dont want to spoil but its worth it. This is a beautiful game with graphics being very cute and fun ! We always come back to this game because its amazing and we believe you guys should continue making games (even though you all already made a part 2) and Im glad that the cat seems very happy with friends, although we dont know yet we havent finished A Better Place yet but we still love the design in that one too. The twist and the end was our favorite part but the existential crisis of cat after losing her flight was hilarious. Game mechanics are interesting and we have nothing bad to say.
Okay so our friend convinced us to play this game. And we tried it thinking it just be a boring game that you just escape obstacles and stuff but it was really good! And the story is amazing!! We feel like we can relate to the cat dealing with anxiety and this game really got to us. We remember one time we were playing the end scene and LITERALLY (and we mean LITERALLY.) almost started crying thats how powerful this game is to us! So thank you for reading our response we have no problem whatsoever and love thank you for making this game.
This game is amazing it starts lighthearted and fun, but you slowly start to understand the plot. The story keeps you interested and entertained with plot twists and turns. Overall we highly recommend this game and we are so glad we found it a few years back.
We loved this game so freaking much, but we were sad when it literally crushed the cats spine.
We LOOOVE this game. Our friend Adam and we downloaded the first and second one and we raced to finish both. Great game but the endings for both are kind of depressing. We WOULD LOVE a third game where the cat decides to finally leave and go home to her friends and owner. The game would be the cat going through new worlds and getting new powers in order to get to the big doorway home that she pushed away in this game. Its a great game number one and two. But we would love to see a third game (the same style) that has a happy ending.

We absolutely love this game its really fun to play just to pass the time. It has tons of different labels you can play that all tell an amazing story. The cat gains powers and the game is overall really fun. We would 10/10 recommend it everyone, though it can be a little harsh in world 9. Otherwise this game is amazing, we cannot stop playing it. This game is absolutely wonderful. We hardly ever review any games, let alone mobile ones – but this game deserves the praise. We adore this platformer so much, the levels are so unique and pretty to look at it, the color design is to die for. On appearance alone, this game deserves 4/5 stars. However, when you counter in the story? 5+/5 stars. The story was the thing we were the most surprised and delighted about. Its astonishing how enraptured we became with this cat platform game – but truthfully the story is so much than youd (obviously) expect from a game like this. We would ultimately recommend this game to absolutely anyone who is into platformers and also good written stories.
It has such a great story line and really cute deep. You can tell the devs put work into the game. You arent even bombarded by ads! Ignore all of the bad reviews they are literally all just people who arent very good at games and couldnt get past level 1 (which btw the game isnt very hard).
So Im on world 9 so far. We are having trouble with climbing but overalll this is such a awesome game and this deserves 999999999 stars and also we digged a grave in our backyard for the grey square and had a full out funeral we also cried.
